Wayne Gretzky is one of the greatest players in NHL history. He was drafted first overall by the Edmonton Oilers in 1978 and went on to win seven Stanley Cups with them. 

He later played for the Indianapolis Racers, Los Angeles Kings, St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers and Phoenix Coyotes before retiring in 1999. 

After retirement, Gretzky became a coach with the Phoenix Coyotes and led them to two Pacific Division titles before being fired after just three seasons due to poor performance.

In 2005, he was hired as head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs but resigned after just nine games following a series of public criticism from team president Brian Burke. 

Gretzky has since retired from coaching but still plays occasional hockey games; most recently for Team Canada at an international tournament in January 2017.

Anže Kopitar is a NHL all-star and two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Los Angeles Kings. 

Kopitar was drafted by the Kings in 2005, and has become one of the league's most consistent players over his career.

He has won numerous awards including the Selke Trophy (2011) as the best defensive player in hockey, and The Lady Byng Memorial Trophy (2012) for gentlemanly play. 

Kopitar currently plays for Slovenia at the international level, and he led his team to Olympic gold in 2014.

In 2018, he announced that he would be retiring from professional hockey following this season's playoffs with the Kings Anže Kopitar is a Slovenian-born, Los Angeles Kings center who has played in the NHL since 2002. 

Kopitar won the Stanley Cup with the Kings in 2012 and 2017, and he was named to the All-Star team in both years.

He has also been selected for the Olympic Team twice: in 2010 and 2014. Rob Blake was born on December 10, 1969 in Simcoe, Ontario. He played for the Los Angeles Kings from 1997 to 2006 and then moved to Colorado Avalanche before finishing his career with the San Jose Sharks in 2011.

Blake has won a Stanley Cup as part of the LA Kings in 2002 and he was also named an All-Star seven times during his NHL career. In 2010, Rob Blake was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame after being voted by fellow players as one of their all-time favourites.

Outside of hockey, Rob Blake is involved in several charitable causes including raising money for cancer research through The Dream Foundation International and supporting children's charities via Stick Kids Worldwide Canada Incorporated (SKWC).

He played three seasons with Boston before being traded to LA along with prospect Matt Frattin in exchange for defenseman Robyn Regehr and draft picks on July 4, 2006. In his nine-year career with LA, he has scored 387 goals and 733 points in 1,077 games played.

He led all players in scoring during both of LA's Stanley Cup Playoff runs from 2012–13 to 2014–15 and helped lead them to their first championship win against Chicago Blackhawks in six games during the 2015 playoffs. 

On January 6th 2019 Jeff Carter announced his retirement from professional hockey after 17 years playing professionally including 10 seasons as captain of The Los Angeles Kings.

In 2017-18, Williams reached career highs both offensively (41 points) and defensively (24 penalty minutes) while playing on an injured knee for most of January 2018 until returning to action late March 2018 playoffs against Tampa Bay Lightning where he helped lead Washington to their first Stanley Cup championship in franchise history.

Kevin Fiala is a left wing who played with the Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League (AHL) during the 2015-2016 season. 

Fiala was drafted by Nashville in the second round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, and he made his debut with them in 2016-2017.

In 57 games for Nashville, he tallied 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points. He signed a two-year contract extension with Nashville on 10 November 2017 worth $1 million per year, keeping him under contract through 2021-22 seasons. 

On 7 October 2018, it was announced that Fiala had been traded to St Louis Blues in exchange for Ryan Reaves and Nick Schmaltz Kevin Fiala was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the 11th round of the 2014 NHL Draft.

He has spent most of his career with the HV71 team in Sweden, but also played for the Los Angeles Kings and Minnesota Wild over that time period. In 2017, he made his debut with Switzerland at the World Championships where they finished fourth overall. 

Kevin is known for being an extremely powerful skater who can score goals from anywhere on the ice; he has a very well-rounded game which makes him dangerous both offensively and defensively.

Višňovský was born on August 11th, 1976 in Topoľčany, Czechoslovakia. At the age of 46, Ľubomír Višňovský is a defenceman playing for the New York Islanders in the NHL.

Before turning to professional hockey, Višňovský played several seasons with HC Slovan Bratislava of the Slovak Extraliga and SKA Saint Petersburg of Russia's Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

In 2009, Višňovský won his first Stanley Cup championship with the Detroit Red Wings following their victory over Pittsburgh in seven games during the playoffs that year. 

Known for his hard-hitting style of play and ability to quarterback a powerplay from his position on defense, Ľubomír Višňovský has been praised as one of Slovakia's most successful hockey players ever.

Butch Goring was born in 1949 in Saint Boniface, Manitoba. He played hockey for the Winnipeg Jets and then with the New York Islanders from 1978 to 1988.

In 1981 he won the Stanley Cup with the Isles and also helped them reach the playoffs eight other times during his career. 

After retiring as a player, Goring became an executive with various teams including Toronto Maple Leafs (1994-1998), Hartford Whalers (1999-2002) and Carolina Hurricanes (2003-2006).

He is now a vice president of business development for Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY where he oversees all aspects of arena operations including marketing and sales initiatives as well as team partnership ships within both professional sports leagues and non-traditional entertainment venues such as concerts and comedy nights.

Butch has been married twice; first to Lynn Bomar who died in 2003 followed by Gina Pizzolato whom he divorced in 2011._ Butch currently resides in Long Island City, Queens with his second wife Teri.

Pálffy announced his retirement from professional hockey after playing with HK Nitra in 2013–14 season, finishing as one of the club's all time leading scorers with 319 points (103 goals and 248 assists). 

Following his retirement, Pálffy began working as a commentator for Czech channel HTV Sport where he currently presents matches featuring HC Benfica de Luanda or SKA Saint Petersburg among others.

After playing four seasons with San Jose, he was traded to Los Angeles as part of the Jeff Carter trade on March 2nd, 2010. 

In his first year with LA he recorded 15 points (5 goals and 10 assists) in 82 games played and helped lead them to their fourth Stanley Cup championship in six years.

Martinez has represented Team USA at both junior level (2002 U18 World Championships) and international level (World Championships 2006 & 2012).

Jaromír Jágr since he retired from playing professionally in May 2019 after 14 seasons abroad including parts of three seasons spent playing for Plzeň scoring 146 points (86+68) over 204 regular season games combined between 2006/2007 – 2010/2011).

Later on same day, he registered an assist on Nikita Zadorov’s overtime winning goal as Toronto Marlies secured 3-1 victory over Hartford Wolf Pack clinching top spot in American Hockey League Eastern Conference playoff standings thereby earning automatic qualification into 2020 AHL playoffs where they eventually lost 4–2 against Hershey Bears in Calder Cup Finals.

Gabriel Vilardi has represented Canada internationally at both Under 18 & World Junior Championships appearing eight times scoring six goals and adding 12 assists for 18 points helping.

Canada win gold medal at both tournaments back to back (2017 U18 WHC & 2018 WJC), becoming only player ever to do so representing country twice consecutively.

In addition Gabriel Vilardi has appeared five times for Team Ontario at National Men's Summer Games competition - 2017 MHSG competing under 17 age group achieving silver medal behind USA team led by Patrick Roy while also recording four assists.

Bernie Nicholls is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is currently playing for HC Davos in the National League A (NLA). 

Nicholls has played in the NHL, ECHL, IHL, and AHL, and has competed in the Winter Olympics and World Championships.

Nicholls was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the fourth round of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. After playing four seasons in the minors, Nicholls made his NHL debut with the Flyers in 1985. 

He spent the next eight seasons with the Flyers, recording 298 points (163 goals and 139 assists) in 598 games.

Nicholls was traded to the Calgary Flames in 1991, and then to the Edmonton Oilers in 1992. He finished his NHL career with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1996. 

Nicholls played three seasons in the ECHL with the Philadelphia Phantoms and Orlando Solar Bears, recording 139 points (68 goals and 79 assists) in 191 games.

He then spent two seasons with the IHL's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, recording 131 points (67 goals and 68 assists) in 178 games. Nicholls returned to the AHL with the Springfield Falcons in 2001, and spent three seasons with the team before retiring in 2005. 

Nicholls competed in the Winter Olympics for Canada in 1998 and 2002, and in the World Championships for Canada in 1995, 1997, and 2000.

Nicholls was named the CHL Player of the Year in 1990 and the AHL Player of the Year in 2002. Nicholls is married to his wife, Sheryl, and they have two children, daughter Kaitlyn and son Caden.

Duchesne was a member of the Kings' Stanley Cup-winning team in 1993. Duchesne left the Kings as a free agent in 2001 and signed with the Montreal Canadiens. Duchesne played for the Canadiens for four seasons before retiring in 2005.

Duchesne has since been appointed the head coach of the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL. In 2016, Duchesne was inducted into the Quebec Sports Hall of Fame. Duchesne is married and has two children. Duchesne is currently the head coach of the Quebec Remparts in the QMJHL.

Steve Duchesne played for the Philadelphia Flyers from 1985 to 2002. Duchesne was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft but never played for them.
