The Spokane Chiefs are an iconic junior hockey team based in Spokane, Washington. Founded in 1958, the Chiefs have been competing in the Western Hockey League for over 60 years and have been a dominant force in the league, boasting two Memorial Cup wins in 1991 and 2008.

The Spokane Arena is the home of the Chiefs, and the team has consistently ranked in the top 10 for attendance in the Canadian Hockey League.

Making history in 2011, the Chiefs hosted the first outdoor hockey game in WHL history at the Avista Stadium. With a long history of success, the Spokane Chiefs remain a top junior hockey organization.

Kailer Yamamoto is a young forward who was drafted in the first round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks. Yamamoto started his hockey career playing for local junior clubs before moving up to NCAA Division I programs at Spokane and Alaska-Anchorage.

He made his professional debut with Bridgeport of the American Hockey League in 2017–18, scoring 11 goals and 10 assists in 42 games played. 

In June of 2018, he signed an entry level contract with the Vancouver Canucks and made his NHL debut on October 5th against Calgary Flames scoring 2 goals in 4 games played that season.

The following season (2018-19), Yamamoto had a breakout year statistically recording 34 points (16 goals, 20 assists) in 76 regular season games as well as 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists) in 18 playoff games helping lead Vancouver to their first Stanley Cup Finals appearance since 1994 where they were defeated by Boston Bruins 4-1.

Yamamoto finished off 2019–20 campaign with 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists) through 73 regular season games which helped earn him AHL Player of Month honors for March 2020. 

After leading all league goal scorers during that month with 12 markers while also earning 1st Star selection for three straight weeks from February 27th – March 13th respectively.

Ty Smith is a young Canadian basketball player who was drafted in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft. 

Ty Smith has had an impressive amateur career, playing for Canada at several youth tournaments and making his debut with the senior national team in 2018.

He played college ball at Texas A&M where he averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds per game as a sophomore before declaring for the draft. Smith's athleticism and length make him an intriguing prospect on both ends of the floor, but it will be his defensive ability that will give scouts most cause for concern moving forward.

Brad Schell is a centre who has played in the NHL for the Chicago Wolves and Atlanta Thrashers. He was drafted by the Chicago Wolves in the sixth round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

He played his first NHL game on October 15, 2006 against the Calgary Flames. He was traded to the Atlanta Thrashers on July 1, 2009 in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

He was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes on June 27, 2011 in exchange for a conditional draft pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 1, 2013 in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

He was traded to the Winnipeg Jets on February 26, 2016 in exchange for a conditional draft pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He signed with the Edmonton Oilers as a free agent on July 1, 2017. He played his final game with the Edmonton Oilers on April 2, 2018.

Jason LaBarbera is a goaltender who has played for the Coyotes, Flames, and Oilers. LaBarbera was drafted by the Coyotes in the third round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

Brenden Kichton is a defenceman for the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League. Kichton was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 3rd round, 82nd overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Kichton has played in 234 AHL games, recording 22 goals and 120 assists. Kichton made his NHL debut with the Flames in 2014-15. Kichton was traded to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Tyler Myers and a 2nd round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft on February 26th, 2017.

Trent Whitfield is a veteran of the NHL, having played for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Phoenix Coyotes, and Boston Bruins. He has also played in the AHL and KHL, and has won a championship with the Providence Bruins.

Whitfield is a big centre with a strong physical game. He is a two-time Stanley Cup champion, and is one of the most decorated players in Bruins history. Whitfield is currently playing in the KHL with HC Sochi. 

Trent Whitfield was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the NHL Draft 100th overall in 1996.

He played his entire career with the Bruins before retiring in 2014. He played in 572 games across 18 seasons, scoring 106 goals and adding 164 assists. 

Whitfield was a key member of the Bruins Stanley Cup-winning teams in 2011 and 2013. He was also a part of the United States team that won the gold medal at the World Championships in 2007.

Holmberg was born in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada on March 9, 1993. He played college hockey at Northeastern University before being drafted in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers.

Lynn Loyns was born in 1981 in Naicam, Saskatchewan, Canada. Loyns played hockey for the Krefeld Pinguine in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) from 2001 to 2008.

Loyns has also played for the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, and the Vancouver Canucks. Loyns is a left wing. Loyns has played in over 600 regular season games, scoring 257 goals and adding 291 assists.

Troy Gamble is a retired professional wrestler best known for his time in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Gamble began his wrestling career in the early 1990s, working for various independent promotions before signing with WWE in 1998.

Brandin Cote is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the first round, 25th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

Cote was traded to the Ottawa Senators in February of 2009 as part of a package that also involved defenseman Jared Cowen and forward Jason Spezza. He was signed to a three-year contract extension with the Senators in March of 2010.

He was traded to the Nashville Predators in February of 2013 in exchange for defenseman P.K. Subban and a second-round draft pick. Cote played in his 1,000th NHL game on November 9, 2014, against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Cote won a silver medal with Team Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Smith was traded to the Calgary Flames in 2011 and played in 36 games before retiring in 2012. Smith was inducted into the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013. Smith is currently an assistant coach with the Manitoba Moose.

34. Sean Gillam

Sean Gillam

Sean Gillam is a defenceman who has played in the AHL for the Hamilton Bulldogs. Gillam was born in Lethbridge, Alberta and played youth hockey for the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Gillam began his professional career in the AHL with the Hamilton Bulldogs in 1997. Gillam has played in over 320 games in the AHL, scoring 47 goals and 231 assists. Gillam has also played in 14 games in the NHL, scoring one goal.

Gillam has represented Canada at both the World Championships and the World Cup. Gillam is currently playing in the Austrian Hockey League with HC TWK Innsbruck. 

Gillam is married and has three children. Sean Gillam is a two-time AHL All-Star and was voted the Hamilton Bulldogs' MVP in 2003.

Sean Gillam was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 75th overall pick in the 1994 NHL Draft. Gillam played for the Adirondack Red Wings and Mississippi Sea Wolves in the ECHL before moving on to play for the Jackson Bandits and Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees in the CHL. Gillam made his NHL debut with the Detroit Red Wings in 1996.

After playing for the Red Wings for four seasons, Gillam was traded to the Ottawa Senators in 2000. Gillam continued to play in the NHL until 2006, when he was released by the Ottawa Senators. 

After leaving the NHL, Gillam played in the German Elite League for the Krefeld Pinguine before retiring in 2007. In 2006, Gillam was inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame.

Sean Gillam is currently a scout for the Detroit Red Wings.

35. Chad Klassen

Chad Klassen was born in Warman, Saskatchewan on April 16, 1985. Klassen played hockey for the Warman Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League before turning professional in 2006.

Klassen has played for the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, Minnesota Wild, and the Dallas Stars in his career. Klassen was part of the Calgary Flames Stanley Cup championship team in 2014.

Klassen has played in over 650 NHL games and has scored over 100 goals. Klassen currently plays for the Dallas Stars and is their captain. Klassen has been a member of the Canadian Olympic team and the North American Olympic team.

Klassen has been nominated for the Hart Memorial Trophy and the Ted Lindsay Award. Klassen is married and has two children. 

Chad Klassen is a forward who has played in the Austrian Hockey League (EBEL) for the Alba Volán Székesfehérvár and ECHL for the Victoria Salmon Kings and Idaho Steelheads.

He was undrafted in the NHL Draft, but was signed by the Edmonton Oilers as a free agent. Klassen has represented Austria at the international level, playing in the World Championships and World Junior Championships. 

He has also played in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) for the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and Sibir Novosibirsk.

Rich Parent is a goaltender who has played in the NHL for the Montreal Canadiens and the Dallas Stars. Parent was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on March 29, 1973.

He played college hockey at the University of Vermont, where he was a two-time All-American and won the Hobey Baker Award as the top player in the nation in 1992. Parent was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the third round of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft.

He made his NHL debut with Montreal in the 1993-94 season. Parent was traded to the Dallas Stars in the 1999-2000 season. He played his final season with Dallas in the 2000-01 season. Parent has represented Canada at the World Championships and the Olympic Games.

Parent retired from playing in the NHL in 2001. Parent played for the St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, Pittsburgh Penguins, Kassel Huskies, Eisbären Berlin, Hannover Scorpions, and NHL Draft undrafted. Parent was a productive player throughout his career, scoring over 200 goals and 350 points in 602 career games.

Parent was also a good puck possession player, which helped him win numerous awards and accolades. Parent retired from hockey in 2006, but he still remains a popular player in the hockey world.

Trevor Kidd was born in Dugald, Manitoba, Canada on March 29, 1972. He is a goaltender and played for the Winnipeg Jets and New Jersey Devils. Kidd was traded to the New York Islanders in 2006 and helped the team win the Stanley Cup in 2007.

Kidd was signed by the Boston Bruins in 2009, but was traded to the Dallas Stars in 2010. Kidd was signed by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2012 and helped the team win the Stanley Cup in 2013. Kidd was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers in 2015 and helped the team win the Stanley Cup in 2017.

Kidd was signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2018. Kidd was inducted into the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame in 2016. Kidd is married and has two children. 

Trevor Kidd played for the Calgary Flames from 1992 to 2006. He was drafted by the Flames in the 11th round of the 1990 NHL Draft. Kidd played in 602 NHL games, scoring 142 goals and 246 assists.

He also played for the Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, and Toronto Maple Leafs. Kidd retired from the NHL in 2006. Kidd is currently an assistant coach with the Carolina Hurricanes.

Cisár has a contract with HC Slovan Bratislava until the end of the 2013-14 season. Cisár is a right wing and is known for his scoring abilities. Cisár is a two-time Slovakian Champion and has also won the Czech Cup.
