Roman Josi is a defenseman for the Nashville Predators. He has been with the team since its inception in 2006-07 and helped bring it to within one game of winning the Stanley Cup in 2017.

Josi was drafted by Nashville in the third round, 78th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He played four seasons (2006-11) with HC Davos before joining Preds' affiliate, EHC Biel/Bienne of the Swiss National League A (NLA).

In his first season with Preds' main club, he notched 20 points (5G+15A) while helping lead them to their first-ever playoff appearance. 

The following year he put up 41 points (10G+31A), earning him an All-Star selection and a spot on Team Europe at both the World Championships and Olympic games; where Switzerland finished fourth after being eliminated from medal contention early on by Canada and Sweden respectively.

Josi's consistent play during his time as a Predator saw him earn the alternate captaincy for two consecutive seasons from 2012-14 before taking over full-time starting 2015-16 when Shea Weber left for Montreal Canadiens. 

Leading Nashville to back-to-back Presidents’ Trophy victories that same year – becoming just one player out of nine total players along with teammate Pekka Rinne who have won multiple MVP awards during their careers playing for either Predators or Penguins organization teams combined.

Roman also became just the second player ever behind Patrick Roy to be named league MVP twice consecutively as well as capturing 3 other major individual honors such as First All-Star Team Selection Twice (NHL & NLA). 

Second Team All-Star Selection Twice(NHL & NLA)and Three-Time winners of the Defensive Player Of The Year Award which he currently holds a record alongside Erik Karlsson among current active defenders. 

Injury-plagued throughout most part of 2018, however, bounced back strong at the beginning 2019 campaign tallying 38 points including 23 goals en route to securing 4th place finish amongst a voting panel consisting mostly of former great offensive defensemen such as Bobby Orr Carey Price Brent Burns Duncan Keith John McEnroe, etc. 

Thus qualifying him once again for entry into the prestigious IIHF World Championship tournament this summer alongside fellow NHL Central Division rivals Connor McDavid Ryan Suter Drew Doughty, etc.

Roman Josi is a defenseman for the Nashville Predators. He was drafted by the Predators in 2008 and has since played for them ever since. Josi started his career with SC Bern before moving on to play in the NHL with Nashville.

2. Filip Forsberg

Filip Forsberg is a talented and fast player who has totaled over 100 points in each of his first three seasons in the NHL. 

Forsberg was originally drafted by the Nashville Predators in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and made an immediate impact with them as a rookie, totaling 38 points in 82 games.

His breakout season came in 2017-18 when he tallied 78 points (41 goals, 37 assists) to lead all rookies and help Nashville clinch their first playoff berth since 2006. 

Although they were eliminated by Ottawa Senators in six games during the Conference Quarterfinals, Forsberg's performance throughout the playoffs was praised by many analysts as one of the best displays from any rookie during that year.

In 2018-19, Forsberg again led all rookies with 68 points (25 goals, 41 assists), helping Nashville reach their second consecutive Stanley Cup Finals but once again falling short against Toronto Maple Leafs. 

Despite being only 28 years old already Filip Forsberg looks like he has plenty more hockey left inside him and is expected to continue producing at a high level for several more seasons yet Filip Forsberg is a Swedish left winger who was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the 2012 NHL Draft.

He has since played for Washington Capitals and Sweden. Filip Forsberg is considered one of the best players in Europe, and he has already won several awards including the SHL MVP award (2013), Hart Memorial Trophy (2014), Lady Byng Memorial Trophy (2015), and Selke Award (2016). 

In 2016-17, Filip Forsberg had a breakout season with 39 goals and 71 points in 78 games, leading his team to the Stanley Cup Finals where they were defeated by Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1. Filip Forsberg is an excellent skater who can both stickhandle and skate past defenders on the rush.

He also possesses great hands and good shot accuracy which makes him very dangerous off of set pieces or from close range. 

With continued success at both the international level as well as with Nashville Predators, it's likely that Filip Forsberg will be regarded as one of history’s greatest hockey players within just a few years' time.

Matt Duchene was born in Haliburton, Ontario on January 16th 1991. He played junior hockey for the Kitchener Rangers of the OHL before being drafted by the Avalanche in 2008.

In his first NHL season with Colorado, he led all rookies in scoring with 36 points and helped lead them to their first Stanley Cup championship since 1998. 

The following year, Duchene continued to be a valuable asset for the Avalanche as they reached the playoffs again, this time making it all the way to Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals before losing to Dallas Stars.

In 2013-14, Duchene recorded career highs in goals (31), assists (56) and points (87). On July 1st 2014, Matt signed an eight-year contract extension worth $44 million with Colorado which keeps him with Denver through 2024-25 seasons.

Ryan McDonagh was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1989. He played for the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from 2004 to 2007 before being drafted by the New York Rangers in 2008.

He made his NHL debut with the Rangers in 2009 and has since played for them, as well as several other teams, including stints with Hartford and Edmonton Oilers along the way. 

In 2011 he signed a six-year contract extension with the Rangers that would keep him at Madison Square Garden through 2019.

Ryan is known for his strong defensive play and is often used by coaches to shut down opposing forwards on defense or create turnovers which can lead to goals scored by his teammates. 

He represented Team United States at both World Championships (2010 & 2014), winning a gold medal in 2010 and silver medals in 2014, making him one of only two players ever to win back-to-back world championships on different teams (the other player is Sidney Crosby).

On October 3rd 2018 it was announced that McDonagh had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). 

Despite this news he immediately resumed playing hockey for Team USA and captained their team at Pyeongchang Winter Olympics where they won Gold.

Craig Smith was born in Madison, Wisconsin on September 5th 1989. 

He played his junior hockey with the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League and then went on to play college hockey at Boston University where he won a national championship as a freshman in 2007-08.

Craig Smith was drafted by Nashville Predators in the 2nd round (51st overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. After playing two seasons with Nashville's minor league affiliate Milwaukee Admirals, Smith made his debut with the Predators during their 2009-10 season. 

In 2011-12, Smith scored 28 goals and had 52 points for Nashville which led to him being named an alternate captain for that year's playoffs; however, they were eliminated by St Louis Blues in 6 games.

In 2012-13, Craig Smith improved upon his previous scoring record with 33 goals and 63 points for Nashville; again this led to him being voted an alternate captain for 2013 playoffs but they were once again eliminated by Blues in 7 games.

In 2014-15 CraigSmith tallied 36 goals and 78 points helping lead Nashville to their first ever Stanley Cup victory over Chicago Blackhawks 4 games to 1.

Calle Järnkrok is a center for the Nashville Predators. He was drafted by the Predators in the third round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Järnkrok has spent his entire career with Nashville, having played over 600 games and scoring 100 points.

In 2017, he helped lead Sweden to its first-ever gold medal at an international tournament, the World Championships in Helsinki, Finland. Järnkrok is married and has two children.

He speaks Swedish and English fluently. Calle Järnkrok is a forward for the Detroit Red Wings and Sweden.

He was drafted 51st overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 2010. Calle Järnkrok has played with Brynäs IF, Nashville Predators, Seattle Kraken, Calgary Flames, and National team Sweden over his career so far.

He played with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2012 to 2015 and recorded 47 points (11 goals and 36 assists) in 114 games.

Jeremy made his professional debut with Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League (AHL) on April 8, 2016, against Springfield Falcons and scored his first goal two days later against Lehigh Valley Phantoms. 

On January 7, 2018, he was traded to Vegas Golden Knights for Max Domi and Anthony Duclair.

Jeremy appeared in 43 games for Vegas scoring 10 points before being sidelined due to injury on March 17th game vs Dallas Stars. 

After recovering from injury, Jeremy signed a one-year contract extension with Golden Knights on May 25th worth $650K ($75/game). In June 2019 he re-signed another one-year deal with a franchise valued at $1 million dollars.

Kimmo Timonen is a Finnish defenseman who has played for KalPa and the Philadelphia Flyers. He was drafted by the Flyers in the first round, 18th overall, of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.

Timonen made his debut with KalPa in 1992-93 and helped them reach the playoffs that season. He scored his first professional goal against TPS Turku on 9 December 1993. 

In 2002-03, he led all defensemen in scoring with 36 points (11 goals and 25 assists) while playing for Philadelphia during their playoff run to the Stanley Cup Finals.

After seven seasons with Philadelphia, he signed as a free agent with Detroit Red Wings in 2008-09 where he spent two seasons before being traded to Nashville Predators midway through 2010-11 season where he finished out his career playing until 2013–14 campaign when Chicago Blackhawks acquired him from Nashville as part of trade deadline deal.

Scott Hartnell is a left wing who has played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Philadelphia Flyers and Ottawa Senators. He was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the third round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

Hartnell made his NHL debut with Columbus in 2003 and spent most of his time there until he was traded to Philadelphia in 2007. In 2008, Hartnell signed with Ottawa as a free agent and spent four seasons there before being traded to Colorado in 2013.

After playing one season with Colorado, Hartnell returned to Ottawa where he retired after the 2016–17 season. Scott Hartnell has won two Stanley Cup rings – with Columbus in 2004 and Philadelphia in 2012 – as well as an Olympic gold medal (with Canada) at hockey's highest level."

Nino Niederreiter is a Swiss right wing who has spent his entire NHL career with the Minnesota Wild. He was drafted in the first round, 18th overall, by the Wild in 2010 and broke into the league as an rookie that year.

In 2013-14 he recorded 29 goals and 59 points to lead all rookies in scoring and helped lead Minnesota to their first playoff appearance since 2004. 

His production dropped off somewhat in 2014-15 (24 goals, 58 points) but bounced back strongly in 2015-16 with 37 goals and 86 points over 79 games - good for third place among league forwards behind only Sidney Crosby and Patrick Kane.

However, injuries limited him to just 46 games during the 2016-17 season which resulted in another lower point total of 31 markers – though still fourth on team scoring charts at this stage of his career.

6 Nino missed most of 2017 due to injury yet returned strong last year playing 77 games recording 32 assists en route tot he second wild card berth for Minnesota.

Nino has been very reliable offensively throughout his NHL career averaging around 22 goals per season while registering at least one assist every other game.

He will turn 30 years old before next season’s playoffs start so there might be some regression involved however given how consistent he has been offensively over time I would not count him out just yet.

Ryan Suter is a defenseman for the Minnesota Wild and has been in the NHL since 2005. He was drafted by the Nashville Predators in 2003 but never played with them as they traded him to the Minnesota Wild before he ever played a game.

In 2009, Suter signed an eight-year contract extension with Minnesota worth $60 million which made him one of the highest paid defensemen in hockey at that time. 

He won two Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins (2011, 2016) and also helped Denmark win gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics where he scored Sweden's only goal in their semifinal loss.

Ryan Suter will turn 38 on January 21st 2020 and has said that if he can play another four or five years then it would be perfect but admitted that his body might not allow him to do so anymore.

Ryan Suter is a talented defenseman who has played in the NHL for 10 seasons. He was drafted by the Nashville Predators in 2003 and has been with them ever since.

In his career, he has won two Stanley Cups with the Predators and also appeared in several other championship games. 

He is known as one of the best defensemen in the league and is often compared to teammate Shea Weber because of their dominant play on the ice together.

Mikael Granlund is a 30-year-old centre/right wing who plays for the Minnesota Wild. He was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in 2010, but never played in their organization.

He then moved on to Finland's SM-liiga team Jokerit before signing with the Minnesota Wild as a free agent in 2016. In 2018, he led all NHL players with 82 points (41 goals and 41 assists) while playing for Finland at the World Championships.

His father, Timo, also played hockey professionally; Mikael has said that his motivation comes from wanting to emulate his father's success rather than any dreams of becoming one himself. 

The 2019 playoffs were particularly impressive for Granlund – he scored five goals including Game 7 of the Western Conference Final against Vegas which propelled Minnesota into their first Stanley Cup Final appearance since 2007 where they lost to Detroit 4–1.

Paul Kariya was born on October 16th, 1974 in North Vancouver, British Columbia. He played for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the Colorado Avalanche before moving to Nashville Predators and St.

Louis Blues respectively. Kariya won two Stanley Cups with the Ducks (1994-95) and one with Avalanche (2001-02). He also represented Canada at the Olympics twice (1996, 2002), winning a silver medal in 1996 while being named MVP at the World Cup of Hockey that same year.

Paul is currently an ambassador for Special Olympics Alberta and has been involved with various fundraising events over his career including The Kids Ride For Free campaign which raised $1 million for charity in 2017 alone. Paul Kariya was drafted first overall by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in 1994.

He quickly became one of the most popular players on and off the ice for the team, leading them to their only Stanley Cup championship in 2006. In 2010 he announced his retirement from hockey after a 20-year career with over 800 points in 602 games. 

Paul has since gone on to pursue other interests including acting and involvement in charitable work.

He remains highly respected within hockey circles both as an athlete and person, being named Canada's top male player of all time by Hockey Canada twice (in 2002 and 2009). 

Paul is married with two children and lives near Toronto where he continues to be involved in hockey coaching young people through his foundation PAULKARIYA HOCKEY ACADEMY.

14. Dan Hamhuis

Hamhuis is a physical player who uses his size and strength to dominate opposing players. He has played in the NHL for 10 seasons, most notably with the Vancouver Canucks.

Hamhuis also played for the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers before joining the Canucks in 2011. Injuries have hampered Hamhuis' career recently, but he is still able to contribute on offence from time to time.

He will be 39 years old at the end of this season, which may mean that he is nearing the end of his playing days. Hamhuis was born in Canada but represents Australia at international level Dan Hamhuis played for the Nashville Predators from 2002 to 2020.

He was drafted by Vancouver Canucks in 2001, but he only played with them for two seasons before moving on to Dallas Stars. Dan is a left-handed defenceman and has represented Canada at both junior and international level.

In 2010, he won the Stanley Cup with Dallas Stars after defeating Philadelphia Flyers in six games series finale.

After playing his final season with Vancouver Canucks in 2018–19, Hamhuis signed a one-year contract with Nashville Predators ahead of the 2019–20 NHL season.

James Neal is a former NHL winger who has spent most of his career playing for the Nashville Predators. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round of the 2006 NHL Draft and made his debut with them in 2007.

Injuries have been a common theme in Neal's career, but he has twice won Gold Medals with Canada at World Championships (2010, 2014). 

After leaving Nashville as an unrestricted free agent at the end of 2018-19 season, James signed with Springfield Thunderbirds of AHL where he will join forces once again with head coach Peter Laviolette.

James Neal is a forward for the Dallas Stars of the NHL. He has played for Pittsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators before joining the Stars in 2007. 

James Neal was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins with 33rd overall pick in 2005 NHL Entry Draft, but he never lived up to his full potential there and was traded to Nashville Predators in 2011.

In 2013, James Neal led all playoff scorers with 17 goals as Nashville reached their first Stanley Cup Finals appearance since 2006. However, they were defeated by Boston Bruins in 4 games series. 

After failing to reach another finals appearance with Nashville, James Neal signed a three-year deal worth $18 million with Vegas Golden Knights ahead of 2018-19 season where he quickly became one of their key players and helped them win the inaugural Pacific Division title that year as well as reaching playoffs twice more afterwards (2018 & 2020).

At 34 years old, James Neal is still playing at an elite level and could be set for another championship run if he joins Calgary Flames or Edmonton Oilers next season respectively.

Cody Glass is a young, talented player that has spent the past two seasons with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL. He was drafted by Winnipeg in the first round (16th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and made his debut with their junior team in 2016-17.
