Gökhan Inler is a central midfielder who has played for several clubs in his career, most notably Adana Demirspor. He was born in Switzerland and started playing football at an early age.

Gökkan İnler made his professional debut with Solothurn in 2002, before moving to Adana Demirspor two years later. Swiss national team on multiple occasions, and has represented them at various European Championships and World Cups tournaments.

As of February 2017, Inler is currently contracted to play for Adana Demirspor until 2020 Gökhan Inler is a Swiss international footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Turkish club Beşiktaş. 

He has played in the Football League for Leicester City and Udinese, before joining Beşiktaş in 2017.

Inler has also represented Switzerland at youth level, playing 79 times and scoring six goals between 2004 and 2015. 

A hard-working player, Inler is known for his tackling ability and stamina on the pitch; he was named UEFA Europa League Player of the Week twice during his time with Napoli.

Stéphane Chapuisat started his career at Red Star Zürich in 1978. He made his international debut for Switzerland in a 1985 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Liechtenstein, scoring the opening goal of a 3-1 victory.

Over the course of 14 years and 177 official matches, Chapuisat scored 68 goals, including 27 during UEFA Euro 2000 qualifying which saw him earn his first major honour as Switzerland reached the tournament finals – they were eventual runners-up to France.

In May 2006, Chapuisat announced his retirement from professional football after playing for FC Sion since 2004; he subsequently took up coaching duties with that club's youth teams until March 2014 when he was appointed assistant manager to Christian Streich at SC Freiburg.

Stéphane is married and has two children; following his retirement from football he became involved in tennis coaching and managed Swiss player Florian Mayer’s ATP Challenger Tour team between December 2015 and January 2016 (winning one title).

Gregor Kobel is a goalkeeper for Borussia Dortmund and has been with the club since 2017. He made his professional debut in 2018, starting in BVB's 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Gregor was born in Zürich, Switzerland on December 6th 1997 and started playing football at an early age with local clubs Grasshoppers and 1899 Hoffenheim before joining Borussia Dortmund as a youth player in 2013.

He broke into the first team during the 2018-19 season, making 15 appearances including 10 consecutive starts between October 18th - January 1st 2019 which led to him being nominated for the Bundesliga Goal of the Month award but he ultimately lost out to Alaba from Bayern Munich who scored twice against Hamburg.

His performances have seen him called up to Switzerland’s senior squad multiple times and he played Europa League qualifying matches against Iceland (as captain) and Andorra last month.

Bürki is a goalkeeper who has played for several clubs, most notably Borussia Dortmund and St. Louis City SC. Bürki signed with Dortmund in 2009, helping the club win two Bundesliga titles and the Champions League in 2014-15.

He rejoined St. Louis City SC for the 2018 season after spending last year on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt. In 2017, he was named to UEFA's Team of the Year alongside players like Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo. 

Bürki is known for his agility, reflexes, and shot-stopping abilities; he has been described as "the best keeper in Europe".

Bürki married his long-time girlfriend Amelie Maupertuis in October 2018.[3] He holds Swiss citizenship but also represents Germany at international level[1].

Manuel Obafemi Akanji is a Swiss-born defender who currently plays for Manchester City. Akanji began his career with FC Wiesendangen before moving to Manchester City in 2017.

He has made over 100 appearances for the English club and represented Nigeria at youth level. At 1.86 m tall, Akanji is a commanding figure at the back and is known for his pace and ball control on the ground.

Breel Embolo is a forward who has played for Monaco since 2018. He was born in Cameroon and started his career with Nordstern in 2006. In 2008, he moved to Germany to play for Borussia Mönchengladbach.

He made his senior international debut for Cameroon in 2017 and has since represented them at the FIFA World Cup (in Russia) and the Africa Cup of Nations (in Egypt). As well as playing football, Embolo also enjoys basketball and track & field athletics.

Breel Embolo is a talented and fast footballer who has played for Basel, Schalke 04 and Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga.

Swiss international defender Stephan Lichtsteiner has spent his entire career playing for Swiss clubs, most notably FC Adligenswil and Luzern. 

After a successful youth career with FC Adligenswil, Lichtsteiner joined Swiss Super League side Luzern in 2000.

He remained at the club until 2001, when he moved to Grasshopper Zurich. In 2002, Lichtsteiner joined Italian Serie A side Lazio Roma on loan from Grasshopper Zurich; he made five appearances before returning to Switzerland midway through the season. 

At the start of 2003–04 season, Lichtsteiner signed for German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 where he would remain for six seasons (2005–10).

During this time he won two Bundesliga titles and one DFB-Pokal title as well as reaching the UEFA Champions League semi-final stage in 2006–07 campaign. 

In 2010, following Schalke's relegation from the Bundesliga and financial difficulties at AC Milan,[4] Lichtsteiner agreed to join Juventus on a free transfer[5] but only played nine games before being sold back to AC Milan.

It was during his spell with AC Milan that he earned his first call up to Switzerland's full national team in 2011. He went on to make 69 caps over 6 years[10], winning three Confederations Cups (2013), a World Cup Qualifying Play-off against Ukraine (2014) and Euro 2016.

On 30 May 2016 it was announced that Juventus had reached an agreement with Bayern Munich for the sale of StephanLichtensteiner after six years with Juve.

Haris Seferovic is a Swiss international striker who currently plays for Turkish side Galatasaray on loan from Portuguese club Benfica. Seferovic made his senior debut in 2009 with Grasshopper, before joining Luzern the following year.

He spent two seasons at Grasshopper before moving to Galatasaray in 2013. Seferovich has represented Switzerland at every youth level, including UEFA Euro 2008 and the 2014 World Cup where he scored one goal in three appearances as they reached the quarter-finals.

Having been named Swiss Footballer of the Year for 2016 and 2017, Haris Seferovic was announced as part of Switzerland's squad for 2018 FIFA World Cup.

In early September 2018 it was announced that he had suffered an ACL injury whilst on international duty, ruling him out until 2020.

Despite this setback, Seferovic returned to action later that month and played a key role as Galatasaray won their sixth consecutive league title[7], netting nine times over the course of 36 matches.

Yann Sommer is a Swiss goalkeeper who has played for Basel and Borussia Monchengladbach. Yann Sommer was born in 1988 and started playing football at the age of six with FC Herrliberg.

Lang is a Swiss defender who currently plays for Basel. Lang started his career with FC St. Gallen, before moving on to Swiss sides FC Sion and FC Luzern.
