Ederson is a Brazilian goalkeeper who has played for Manchester City since 2016. Ederson made his debut in 2011 with Ribeirão and helped the club win the Brasileiro that season.

In 2012, he moved to Portuguese side Benfica and helped them reach the Europa League final. In 2016, Ederson joined Manchester City and quickly established himself as a first-choice keeper.

Alejandro Gómez is a forward and winger who currently plays for Sevilla. He began his career with Arsenal de Sarandí before moving to San Lorenzo in 2009.

De Roon is a Dutch midfielder who has played for Atalanta since the summer of 2016. De Roon started his career at ASWH before moving to Feyenoord in 2006.

He had a successful three-year spell with Sparta Rotterdam, winning two Eredivisie titles and the UEFA Europa League in 2009 and 2010 respectively. In August 2016, de Roon moved to Italy to join Serie A side Atalanta on a four year contract worth €10 million (£8 million).

De Roon was born in Zwijndrecht and made his debut for the Netherlands U21s in October 2007 against Poland. 

He made his full international debut versus Slovakia later that same month and has since gone on to make 38 appearances for his country including at Euro 2012 where they reached the semi-finals as runners up behind Spain.

Teun Koopmeiners is a Dutch midfielder who currently plays for Atalanta. He made his professional debut in 2015 with Vitesse, and has since played for Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven and Atalanta.

In 2018/19 he scored six goals in Serie A as Atalanta finished runners-up to Juventus. He was named the Netherlands' Young Footballer of the Year in 2017 and was part of the Dutch squad that won silver at the European U21 Championship later that year.

Cristiano Doni is a midfielder who has played for Modena and AC Milan in the Italian Serie A. He was born on 1 April 1973 in Rome, Italy. In 1991, Cristiano Doni joined Modena from Lazio and he made his debut for the club during the 1992–93 season.

He went on to play for them until 1996 when he moved to AC Milan. There, he won several trophies including two Champions League titles (1995 and 1998).

Hans Hateboer is a Dutch footballer who currently plays for Italian club Atalanta. 

He made his professional debut with Veendam in the Eredivisie in 2011 and played for Groningen, Feyenoord Rotterdam, ADO Den Haag and Willem II before joining Atalanta in January 2018.

Hans was born on 9 January 1994 in Beerta, Netherlands and has represented the Netherlands at youth level including appearances at UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifiers against Luxembourg and Estonia as well as being part of their squad that won the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Davide Zappacosta is a Italian full-back who joined Atalanta in the summer of 2019. He has previously played for Sora and Isola Liri in his country. Davide Zappacosta was born on June 11th 1992, making him 30 years old at the time of writing this article.

Davide Zappacosta stands at 1.82 metres tall and plays as a full-back for Atalanta FC, but he has also featured as a midfielder and striker during his career so far. 

Davide started playing football at an early age with local club Sora before moving to Italy's Isola Liri aged 17 where he would make over 100 appearances between 2008 and 2010.

In January 2011 , it was announced that Davide had signed for Serie A side Napoli on loan until the end of the season after impressing while on trial with them earlier that year. 

However, due to injury problems (and subsequently surgery) he did not play any games for Napoli during his stay there and returned to Sora four months later having made just one appearance off the bench which ended in defeat against Lazio.

[4] During the 2012–13 season , now back with Sora following another spell out of action due to injury, Davide scored 8 goals in 33 league matches helping them gain promotion from Lega Pro Prima Divisione into Lega Pro Seconda Divisione as champions.

The next three seasons were spent alternately between club spells (Sora again) or loans (Albinoleffe & Teramo) before finally signing permanently for Genoa CFC prior to their relegation back down into Serie B at conclusion of 2017–18 campaign.

However only 6 months later he moved once more, this time joining Torino CF upon their return up to Serie A. After appearing sparingly throughout 2018–19, being released by Torino without ever making an official appearance, then rejoining Genoa two months later.

It seemed like things might be winding down somewhat quietly – until July 2019 when Chelsea came calling.

José Luis Palomino is a centre-back who currently plays for Atalanta. He was born in 1990 and started playing football at the age of six, with local side San Miguel de Tucumán.

Palomino made his professional debut in 2010 with Lanús, where he spent three seasons before joining Torneo Argentino A side Godoy Cruz prior to the 2013–14 season. 

In January 2014, Palomino joined Serie A club Roma on loan until the end of the season; he made one appearance for Roma during this time but returned to Godoy Cruz at the conclusion of his loan spell.

Angelo Longoni was a midfield player who played for several Italian clubs over the course of his career. He is best known for playing for Juventus and winning two Serie A titles with them.

Angelo Longoni died in 1993 at the age of 60 after a long battle with cancer. He will always be remembered as one of Italy's greatest footballers. Angelo Longoni was a midfielder who played for several Italian clubs over the course of his career.

He is best known for his time with A.C. Milan, where he made 196 appearances and scored 37 goals during the 1954 to 1961 period. After leaving Milan, Angelo spent three years with Lazio before returning to Atalanta in 1963. 

In 1964, he represented Italy at the World Cup finals in Brazil where they reached the semi-finals but were knocked out by eventual winners England following a 1-0 defeat in their second game of the tournament.

Angelo retired from playing football after 1966 season and went on to coach various youth teams before passing away aged 70 in 2008.

Glenn Strömberg is a retired Swedish footballer who played as a midfielder. 

He started his career with IFK Göteborg, before moving to Malmö FF in 1985. Strömberg won two Swedish Championships and one Svenska Cup during his time at Malmö FF, as well as making 47 appearances for the Sweden national team.

After leaving Malmö FF in 1992, he spent three seasons with Dutch side Feyenoord Rotterdam before retiring from football at the age of 36. 

Since retirement, Strømberg has worked as a coach at several clubs including GIF Sundsvall and Helsingborgs IF., most recently taking charge of AIK Fotboll in December 2018 Glenn Strömberg was a prolific goal scorer in his career, with 342 goals in 35 club appearances.

He played for IFK Göteborg and Benfica before joining Atalanta in 1984. His international career saw him score nine times for the Sweden U21s and 52 times for the full national side. 

Glenn Strömberg retired from professional football in 1992, after playing 218 games for Atalanta over seven seasons.

Piero Gardoni was a defender who played for several clubs in Italy during the 1960s and 1970s. He won the 1962–63 Coppa Italia with AC Milan, and he also represented his country at international level.

Piero Gardoni died in 1994 at the age of 60 after a long illness. Piero Gardoni is a legendary Italian footballer who played for Atalanta and Reggina. 

Piero Gardoni was one of the most talented players in his era, and he’s still considered one of Italy’s greatest ever midfielders.

Piero Gardoni made an immediate impact when he joined Atalanta in 1953, helping them to win two league titles during his time there. 

After leaving Atalanta, Gardoni spent two seasons with Palazzolo before moving on to Reggiana – where he won the Serie B title in 1958/59 season. 

In 1968, Piero Gardoni moved back to AC Milan where he would play until 1969/70 season – at which point he retired from professional football due to injury aged just 32 years old.

Since retiring from playing football, Piero has remained active as a manager; overseeing both Pergolettese (2007-2008) and Südtirol (2009-2013). 

Now 68 years old, it seems unlikely that we will see another player quite like Piero Gardneri walk onto the pitch again – but if by some chance we do then fans around the world will be eager to witness it.

Fabrizio Ferron is a Italian goalkeeper who played for A.C. Milan in the 1985-1986 season, and later had spells at Genoa and Fiorentina before joining Sampdoria in 2002.

He made his Serie A debut against Bologna on 18 October 1985, coming on as a substitute for Gianluca Pagliuca in the 86th minute; he conceded three goals in that match but helped keep Sampdoria from losing 3–0.

In total, he made 85 appearances for Milan (scoring one goal), 45 appearances for Genoa (winning two titles) and 31 appearances for Fiorentina (finishing second twice). 

On 30 July 2002, Ferron signed with Sampdoria after rejecting an offer from Juventus; he kept 19 clean sheets during his two seasons with the club before departing following their relegation to Serie B at the end of 2004–05 campaign.

After brief stints with Chievo Verona and Pescara respectively, Ferron retired from football at 36 years old having won five league titles – all while playing either as a starter or backup keeper behind Luca Toni – plus one Coppa Italia title whilst representing Italy 54 times between 1988 and 2001. 

The 2007/08 season saw him make a return to professional football when he joined newly promoted Lega Pro Seconda Divisione side Venezia on loan until June 2009.

Over 12 months later though Venezia folded midseason meaningFerron never managed to make an appearance for them due to injury problems sustained while training with Mantova ahead of their promotion playoff game against Rimini which Mantova lost 2-1 leaving him out of pocket €30k.

Mario Pašalić is a German-born Croatian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Italian club Atalanta. In 2013, he joined Premier League side Chelsea on a free transfer from Hajduk Split and made no appearances for the Blues during his two-year stay in London.

Duván Zapata is a Colombian international striker who currently plays for Italian club Atalanta. He started his career at América de Cali before moving to Colombia's top division, the Primera Division, in 2011 with Estudiantes.

Zapata has been capped by Colombia on several occasions and played in their 2014 World Cup campaign. In 2013 he joined Serie A side Napoli but only made one appearance before returning to Atalanta the following year.

Malinovskyi joined Shakhtar Donetsk from Polissya Zhytomyr in 2006 and made his professional debut the following year. He spent four years with the Ukrainian side before joining Marseille on loan in 2015.

Merih Demiral is a 24-year old Turkish centre-back who joined Atalanta in the summer of 2020. He made his professional debut with Karamürsel Idmanyurduspor aged just 16 and went on to make over 150 appearances for the club before joining Fenerbahçe in 2016.

Rasmus Højlund is a 19-year-old forward who currently plays for Atalanta. He made his debut in the Danish Superliga with Brøndby in 2016 and went on to make over 40 appearances for them before joining Holbæk last season.

Jeremie Boga is 26 years old and currently plays for Atalanta in Italy. He started his career with ASPTT Marseille before joining Chelsea in 2009. 

Boga has been capped at Under-20 level by France, and made his senior international debut against Germany in March 2018.

Brandon Soppy is a French youth international who has played for CFF Paris, Rennes and Atalanta in the Serie A. He made his senior debut for Rennes in 2017 and went on to make nine appearances that season.

Jørgen Leschly Sørensen is best known for being a striker with Odense BK and Atalanta. He played in 134 games during his senior career, netting 51 goals.

Jørgen Leschly Sørensen passed away on 21 February 1999 at the age of 76 after a long illness. Jørgen Leschly Sørensen was born on 24 September 1922 in Lumby, Denmark and died on 21 February 1999 Jørgen Leschly Sørensen was born in 1953 and played for Milan from 1954 to 1955.

After leaving Milan, he played for Odense BK from 1958 to 1962. He represented Denmark at international level between 1946 and 1949. 

Jørgen Leschly Sørensen retired from professional football in 1963, after playing for Randers FC during the 1962-1963 season where he won the Danish Cup with his team.

Adriano Bassetto was a talented attacking midfielder who played for several teams over the course of his career. 

He is most well-known for his time with Juventus, where he won several titles and made an important contribution to their success in the 1970s and 1980s.

Bassetto also had successful spells with Milan and Fiorentina, before ending his playing career with Vicenza later in life. Adriano Bassetto passed away at the age of 74 after a long illness. 

His death has left fans around the world mourning his loss. Adriano Bassetto is best known for his time at Serie A club Siena.

He spent 17 seasons with the club, making over 200 appearances and scoring a total of 92 goals. Adriano Bassetto also had a successful international career, playing for Italy on three occasions. 

His most notable performance came in 1954 when he scored three goals in an away victory against Sweden. After leaving Siena, Adriano Bassetto joined Cesena before moving onto Lucchese and Atalanta respectively.

He retired from professional football in 1963 but continued to play amateur football until his death in 2017 at the age of 96 years old.

Angelo Domenghini was born on August 25, 1941 in Lallio, Italy. He began his career with Atalanta and played for Inter Milan from 1964 to 1969 before retiring.

Angelo represented Italy at the 1968 World Cup where they reached the semi-finals. After retirement, he became a football coach and worked with clubs including Cagliari, Roma, Hellas Verona and Trento among others.

In 2003 he received an honorary doctorate from La Sapienza University in Rome for his contribution to Italian football as a player and coach over the years. Angelo passed away on December 5th 2018 after a long battle with cancer aged 81.

Angelo Domenghini was born on October 9th, 1941 in Derthona, a small town in the Piedmont region of Italy.

Angelo Domenghini made his professional footballing debut with Olbia Calcio during the 1963–64 season and went on to play for 33 clubs over a period of 7 years, including Asti (1977–78), Derthona (1978–81), Torres CF (1982–83), and Novara Calcio (1990-91). 

Angelo Domenghini represented Italy at international level as a player and managed them at both UEFA European Championship tournaments – winning the championship in 1968 – before being appointed manager of World Cup finalists Mexico squad in 1970.

After leaving Mexican club América de México following their third place finish at the tournament he returned to Serie A management with Torino FC where he remained until 1978 when he moved abroad for one final time to take charge of AS Saint Etienne. 

After four years spent developing young players at Saint Etienne, Angelo retired from coaching aged only 48 after guiding them back into Ligue 1 after two seasons away and taking home two domestic titles along the way.

An honour that capped off an illustrious managerial career which had seen him win numerous accolades domestically and internationally alike.

Severo Cominelli was born in 1915 and died in 1998, at the age of 82. He played as a midfielder for clubs such as AC Milan and Internazionale. Cominelli represented Italy at international level on numerous occasions, retiring from playing football in 1967.

He is considered one of the greatest Italian midfielders of all time. After his retirement from playing, Cominelli became a manager, spending two spells with Inter before moving to Lazio in 1977 where he remained until 1982. 

A statue dedicated to Severo Cominelli was erected outside the San Siro stadium after his death in 1998.

Severo Cominelli was an influential player for Atalanta during the 1940s. He helped lead the team to victory in both of their Serie A titles during that time period. 

After leaving Atalanta, Severo Cominelli went on to play for Internazionale and SPAL before retiring from football in 1950. He is considered one of the greatest defenders ever to have played in Serie A, and his impact on the league will never be forgotten by those who witnessed him play.

Stefano Angeleri was born in 1926 and began his career with Oratorio Ovada. He played for Juventus from 1945 to 1960, winning two Serie A titles along the way.

After retiring as a player, he became a manager and led Atalanta to promotion to Serie A in 1984. He died aged 85 in 2012. Stefano Angeleri is considered one of the greatest midfielders of all time and was inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame in 2008.

Stefano Angeleri is a manager, who has had a long managerial career that began in 1961 with Atalanta youth team. From 1965 to 1969, he managed at the Serie A club Atalanta. He then spent two years managing Parma before moving on to manage Modena in 1973 for three seasons.

In 1976, Angeleri took over as caretaker manager of Casale and led them to promotion from Serie B the following year. After leaving Casale, he was appointed manager of Cremonese where he stayed for two seasons before taking charge of Seregno for one season in 1978-79 campaign.

In 1980-81 season he joined Pergocrema but only lasted until the end of the league campaign after which he moved on again this time joining Sant'Angelo for another short stint lasting just one season 7.

He then rejoined Piacenza as their new head coach whereupon they finished second behind Juventus in 1983/1984 championship winning season.

Stefano left Piacenza after less than 2 years and next coached Lecco spending just 1 year at the helm 9 Returning back into management ranks Stefano took charge of newly promoted side Siena spending 3 seasons at the helm.

Damiano Zenoni started his career at Atalanta. He spent two seasons with the Bergamo side, before joining Pistoiese on loan in 1996. Damiano Zenoni made his Serie A debut for Atalanta against Como in 1994 and went on to make 209 appearances for the club over a nine-year period.

In 2005, Damiano Zenoni joined Torino where he played 55 matches over two seasons before retiring from professional football late in 2007 at the age of 34 due to injury problems sustained during a match against Cesena earlier that year.

After retiring from playing, DamianoZenoni moved into coaching and was appointed head coach of Bari's under-18 team midway through 2009–10 season but left after only four months when he was replaced by Francesco Guidolin.

In January 2012,DamianoZenoni was appointed head coach of Pisa but resigned eight months later citing family reasons.

Zaccaria Cometti was born on January 7, 1937 in Romano di Lombardia, Italy. He started his career with US Fiorita before joining Juventus in 1957. After a successful period at Juve, he joined Milan in 1970 and helped them win the European Cup Winners' Cup that year.

In 1981, he moved to AC Milan's fierce rivals Inter Milan where he played until 1988. He finished his career with Roma where he made 268 appearances between 1990 and 2000 before retiring from professional football later that year due to injury. 

Zaccaria Cometti is considered one of the best goalkeepers of all time and won several honours during his career including 3 Serie A titles (with Juve, Milan and Roma), 2 Coppa Italia titles (with Milan and AC Fiorentina) as well as 4 Italian Cups (Juventus 1982/83; ACMilan 1983/84; Inter 1985/86; AS Roma 1990).

His international debut came against Spain on October 9th 1961and saw him make 12 appearances for Italy over the next two years before finally winning a full cap against Switzerland on May 6th 1963 after being an unused substitute for both 1960 World Cup qualifiers.

At club level, Zaccaria also represented Sampdoria(1962–1964), Bologna(1965–1968) Genoa(1970-1971), Parma (1981-1982) Catania (1984-1985) Torino FC Siena Frosinone Calcio Chievo Verona SS Lazio Sporting Lisbon.

Carrera started his career in the Italian Serie A with Pro Sesto. He then played for Russi before moving to Serie B side Alessandria in 1985. While at Alessandria, Carrera won promotion to Serie A in 1986 and made 156 appearances over six seasons with the club.

In 1991, he moved to Bari where he stayed until 1995, making a total of 158 appearances during that time span. 

After leaving Bari, Carrera had spells at Pescara and Genoa before joining Spartak Moscow as manager midway through the 2018 season; however, he was sacked after just nine months in charge due to poor results .

Massimo is currently head coach of Pistoiese in Italy's Lega Pro division Massimo Carrera was born on October 23, 1971 in Milan. 

He started his professional career at Juventus in 1991, and went on to play for a number of clubs over the next two decades including Atalanta, Napoli, Treviso and Pro Vercelli. Carrera made his international debut for Italy in 1992 and played at Euro 96 where they finished as runners-up.

In 2004 he left Juventus after winning three Serie A titles with the club and moved to Napoli where he won another title before retiring from playing professionally in 2005. 

After retiring from playing, Carrea returned to management as assistant manager at Juventus between 2009-12 before taking up the same role with Russia’s Spartak Moscow between 2016-18. 

In December 2018 it was announced that he had been appointed head coach of AEK Athens ahead of their 2020–21 season in Greece’s top division PAOK FC will be his assistant manager again.

Valter Bonacina is a former Italian midfielder who played for Atalanta and Virescit Boccaleone. He started his career at Cenate Sotto before joining Virescit Boccaleone in 1986.

He made his Serie A debut with Atalanta in 1981 and spent nine seasons with the club, winning two titles (1985–86, 1991–92) along the way. In 1991 he joined rivals Virescit Boccaleone where he stayed for four more seasons before retiring from professional football in 1996.

After retirement, Bonacina took up coaching duties at several lower-league clubs including Reggiana (1996), AlbinoLeffe (1998), Novara Calcio (1999), Lumezzane (2004) and Rende Fontebene (2005). 

He was appointed head coach of Lega Pro side Pescara on 15 November 2013 but was sacked less than a year later after a poor start to the season which saw Pescara bottom of the league table with only four points from six games played On 18 October 2016.

It was announced that Bonacina had been appointed new manager of Serie D side Castel di Sangro following Gianluca Silvestri's departure due to family reasons.

However, on 24 March 2017 Castel di Sangro were expelled from Italy's fifth tier because they failed to fulfil financial obligations On 10 May 2018 Valter Bonaccia.

Became new coach of newly promoted Eccellenza side UPC Pavia replacing Andrea Mandorlini Valter 'Vally' Bonaccia began playing football as an amateur player for local team FC Bergamo youth section while studying law at university during 1984/85 season.

During summer 1985 he moved to nearby second division club Cenate Sotto.
In January 1986 he signed by Padova’s third division outfit Vicenza Calcio making just 2 appearances.

In July 1986 Valter transferred again this time to fellow Serie A strugglers Atalanta – spending ten years there until leaving aged 34 in June 1992.
He then returned home country signing by fourth division outfits Cremonese & finally Imolese.

Giovanni Vavassori started his career with Atalanta, playing 63 times for the club during the 1970-1972 season. He then moved to Napoli where he made 94 appearances between 1972-1977.

In 1977, Giovanni joined Atalanta's rivals AC Milan and played 172 games over a four year period. After leaving Milan, Giovanni returned to Atalanta before retiring in 1982 at the age of 34 years old after helping his team win Serie A twice (1978 and 1979).

Giovanni has since been involved in coaching at both youth level and senior level with several clubs including Catania, Lazio and Fiorentina amongst others before joining Chievo as their head coach in 2016/17 season. Giovanni Vavassori was born in 1982 and played for Cagliari from 2002 to 2003.

He then moved on to play for Atalanta, where he remained until 2004. In 2005, Giovanni joined Genoa but only stayed with them for one season before moving onto Cesena the following year. 

He then signed with Avellino in 2007 where he spent two seasons before signing with Verona in 2010. Giovanni retired from playing at the end of the 2012-13 season and currently works as a manager at his old club Cagliari's youth team.

Remo Marco Freuler is a Swiss football midfielder who currently plays for Nottingham Forest. He has previously played for Hinwil and Winterthur. 

Freuler has played for the Switzerland national team at under-21 level and was called up to the senior team for a friendly against Slovenia in March 2016.

He was born in Ennenda, Switzerland, in 1992. Freuler started his career at Hinwil, before moving to Winterthur in 2005. He made his senior debut for Winterthur in 2009. 

Freuler joined Nottingham Forest in January 2017. He made his debut for Forest in a 2-1 defeat to Derby County in the Championship on 12 January 2017.

Freuler is a versatile midfielder who can play as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder, or as a forward. He is known for his strong tackling and ability to win back possession. 

Freuler has been praised for his speed, passing, and attacking skills. Freuler is a Switzerland international and has played for the team at under-21 level and at senior level.
