Nuri Şahin is a German-born midfielder who has played for Dortmund, Real Madrid CF and Antalyaspor in recent years. Borussia Dortmund II in 2005 before becoming a regular fixture in the first team during the 2007–08 season.

He moved to Real Madrid on loan in 2011 but was unable to help them win any silverware that season as they were knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage. 

After leaving Los Blancos, Şahin signed for Antalyaspor side where he currently plays under new head coach Murat Bilginç Altintop.

After impressing in the Turkish second division and being scouted by several European clubs, Şahin moved to Germany to join Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal in 2013. 

He made an instant impact for Dortmund and helped them win the Bundesliga title during his first season there. 

In 2018, Şahin joined Werder Bremen on a permanent basis and has since been one of their key players helping them reach the top flight for the first time in over two decades.

The striker also represented Turkey at both under-17 and under-19 levels before making his full international debut in 2007 aged just 18 years old. 

At 32 years old, Şahin is still very much involved in footballing life and is currently playing for Antalyaspor as they attempt to avoid relegation from Liga I this season.

Orkun Kökçü is a 22-year old Dutch midfielder who currently plays for Feyenoord. He began his youth career at Olympia Haarlem before moving to EDO in 2009.

In 2015, he made his debut for the Netherlands U21s and has since gone on to make several appearances for their senior side. 

Possessing excellent agility and dribbling skills, Orkun is known as one of Feyenoord's key attackers - able to both create chances himself and set up teammates with accurate passes.

Born in Haarlem, Netherlands, Orkun is of Turkish descent - meaning that he represents his country at international level through players from all over the world playing football professionally – something which he is very proud of. 

In May 2016, Orkun signed a new contract with Feyenoord until 2020 Orkun Kökçü is a Turkish international footballer who currently plays for Feyenoord.

He made his debut for the Netherlands in 2017 and has since been capped at various levels, most recently as part of the Turkey U21 team. 

A versatile player, Orkun can play either as a winger or forward and is known for his speed and attacking instincts on the pitch.

Doğukan Sinik is a winger who currently plays for Hull City. He was born on 21 January 1999 in Antalya, Turkey and raised in the city.

 Sinik started playing football at an early age with local team Konyaspor before joining Gençlerbirliği Academy in 2016.

In 2017, he made his professional debut for Gençlerbirliği in a Turkish Cup match against Çaykur Rizespor and went on to make six appearances during the season. Sinik joined Hull City on 1 July 2019 after impressing during pre-season matches earlier that year.

The 23-year-old has represented Turkey at U17, U19, and U21 level and featured prominently for the senior side at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship last summer where they reached the semi finals before losing to Spain.[3] Born in 2003, Doğukan Sinik made his senior debut with Antalyaspor in 2016.

He played four games for the club last season and has been loaned out to Kemerspor this term. A midfielder by trade, Sinik has also represented Turkey at U16 and U18 level. 

With six caps to his name so far, he is tipped to be a key player for Turkey at the 2022 World Cup qualifying stage. 

In addition to playing football professionally, Sinik is also an accomplished basketballer who won a Turkish championship title with Anadolu Efes earlier this year.

His contract with Hull City expires at the end of 2020-21 season and it's possible that he could move on again then - we'll just have to wait and see.

Aktürkoğlu is a Turkish winger currently playing for Galatasaray. He started his youth career at Gölcükspor and made his senior debut in the 2013–14 season.

Aktürkoğlu has represented Turkey at various youth levels, including the U-17, U-19, and U-21 squads. In the 2017–18 season, he finished as the top goalscorer in Super Lig with 17 goals in 26 appearances.

Aktürkoğlu was one of six players to be promoted to Galatasaray's first team squad ahead of the 2018–19 season following their relegation from La Liga/Champions League football; however he did not make an appearance during that campaign.

On 1 July 2019, it was announced that Aktürkoğlu had signed a five year contract extension with Galatasaray which will keep him at the club until 2021. Muhammed Kerem Aktürkoğlu is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Galatasaray.

He started his career with hometown club Hisareynspor and played for Başakşehir in the Süper Lig before joining Karacabey on loan in 2018. After returning to Başakşehir, he signed for Erzincanspor on a permanent basis ahead of the 2019–20 season.

Tugay Kerimoğlu has played for Galatasaray, Rangers and Blackburn Rovers in his career. He was born in Istanbul, Turkey on 24 August 1970. Tugay is a midfielder who has played for Galatasaray A2 and Rangers before joining Blackburn Rovers in 2001.

He made his international debut for Turkey against Greece on 14 November 1998 at the age of 26 years old. 

In total, he has scored 10 goals during his 49 appearances for Turkey including 2 during the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign which helped them reach the semi-finals of the tournament where they lost to eventual winners Portugal 1–0.

After extra time Tugay Kerimoğlu is a successful assistant manager and has enjoyed a long managerial career in Turkish football.

He most recently worked as an assistant manager at Galatasaray, but he first came to prominence with Şanlıurfaspor. Tugay Kerimoğlu has also represented Turkey at international level, playing in the FIFA World Cup 2002 and the Mediterranean Games 1993. 

After spending several years working as an assistant manager, it was announced in October 2010 that he had been appointed head coach of Galatasaray's reserves team - however this role lasted for just one season before he was replaced by Fatih Terim.

In June 2013 it was announced that he would be replacing Cesare Prandelli as Assistant Manager at Serie A side Fiorentina ahead of their upcoming season.

His stay there only lasted until December 2014 though, following which he returned to his previous position with Galatasaray's youth teams.

Berkan Kutlu is a Swiss midfielder who currently plays for Galatasaray. He made his professional debut in 2018 and has since played 39 matches, scoring one goal.

Kutlu was born on January 25th, 1998 in Monthey, Switzerland. His nickname is "Kutlu". Berkan Kutlu has represented the Switzerland national under-17 and under-19 teams before making his senior international debut in 2017.

Arda Turan is a talented Turkish winger who has played for several top clubs in Europe. He was born in 1987 and started his career at Altintepsi Makelspor before moving to Galatasaray in 2005.

Turan has been capped over 100 times by Turkey, scoring 34 goals, and he won the league title with Galatasaray in 2011. Arda is now 35 years old and still playing football, most recently joining Osmanlispor on a one-year deal in August 2016.

Arda Turan is a versatile midfielder who can play in any position on the field. Arda has represented his country at both youth and senior levels, and has enjoyed some success during that time. 

He joined Barcelona from Atlético Madrid in 2015, and has since made 36 appearances for the Spanish giants.

Altay is a goalkeeper for Fenerbahçe and was born in 1998. He started his career at Bursaspor before moving to Fenerbahçe in 2017. Altay made his senior debut with the club in 2017-18 season, playing 11 matches.

In the 2018-19 season, he played 24 matches and kept seven clean sheets as Fenerbahçe finished runners up in Süper Lig behind Barcelona FC. 

Altay has represented Turkey at U17, U20 and U23 level before making his full international debut against Bulgaria on 4 March 2019.[2] Altay Bayındır is a Turkish international footballer who plays for Ankaragücü.

After impressing with his performances for the youth sides, he joined Bursa Yolspor in 2012 and went on to make over 100 appearances for them before moving to Ankaragücü in 2016.

Altay is known as a powerful midfielder who can destroy opposition defences with his passing ability and dribbling skills; he also scores goals regularly from set pieces or direct free-kicks. 

His national team career began in 2014 when he was called up to Turkey U17s, making one appearance during their campaign at the European U17 Championship that year. 

In 2017, he represented Turkey U19s at the UEFA Youth League where they reached the semi-finals before being knocked out by Spain; meanwhile, back at club level, Altay helped Bursa Yolspor finish third in Süper Lig after leading the table going into winter break midway through the season.

2018 saw him earn caps with both Turkey's Under 20s (where he scored two goals) and 21s (who finished runners-up). 

Finally, following impressive displays throughout qualification for Euro 2020 - which included scoring against Kazakhstan whilst representing Turkey Ulusal Futbol Federasyonu (the governing body of Turkish football).

Rüştü Reçber is a goalkeeper who has played for several teams in his career. He started out playing for Korkuteli before moving to Burdurgücü and then Antalyaspor.

After spending time on loan at Antalyaspor, Barcelona, and Fenerbahçe he rejoined Fenerbahçe permanently in 2006. He retired from professional football in 2009 but continues to play amateur football with Beşiktaş İzmir today.

Reçber is a versatile midfielder who has played for both Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe. Reçber previously represented Turkey at youth level, before making his senior international debut in 2002. 

The 32-year-old has since gone on to win two UEFA European Championships and one FIFA World Cup with his country, as well as numerous domestic honours throughout his career.

Reçber is currently playing for Turkish side Antalyaspor on loan from Fenerbahçe in the Süper Lig. 

He will be looking to help Antalyaspor finish in the top four this season, although he may have competition from former Atletico Madrid player Saul Niguez amongst others due to the club's wealth of talent. Receber was born on October 10th 1984 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Arda Güler was born in Altındağ, Ankara on 25 February 2005. He started his youth career at hometown club Altındağ SK and made his professional debut with Fenerbahçe in the Süper Lig during the 2014–15 season.

Yüksek is a young midfielder who currently plays for Fenerbahçe. He made his professional debut in 2011 with Bursaspor and spent the following two years at their academy before joining Fenerbahçe's first team in 2015.

January 26th, 1999 in İznik, Turkey. He is 1.83 metres tall and has played as an attacking midfielder throughout his career so far. Turkey at under-15 level before moving to play for Bursa Merinosspor where he developed further as a player.

Lefter was born on December 22, 1925 in Istanbul and started his career with Taksim. He moved to Fenerbahçe in 1947 and stayed there for the next five seasons before joining Fiorentina in 1951.

After leaving Fiorentina, Lefter had a short stint at Nice before retiring from professional football in 1953. Lefter passed away on January 13, 2012 at the age of 86 after a long battle with illness.

Lefter Küçükandonyadis was a successful manager and player in the Turkish football league. He started his managerial career at Egaleo in 1965, and then went on to manage several other clubs including Johannesburg (1966-1967), Samsunspor (1967-1968), Orduspor (1968-1969) and Mersin İdman Yurdu (1969-1970).

After leaving management he continued playing for Samsunspor until 1971 when he retired from professional football at the age of 36 years old. Lefter Küçükandonyadis died on November 14th, 2004 after a long battle with cancer.

Emre Belözoğlu is a Turkish footballer who plays as a midfielder for İstanbul Başakşehir. He started his career at Zeytinburnuspor, before joining Galatasaray in 1996.

He spent five seasons with Inter Milan, winning the Serie A title in 2001–02 and reaching the UEFA Champions League final that season. In 2005 he signed for Newcastle United, where he played 58 games over two years before moving to Fenerbahçe in 2008.

He captained Turkey at Euro 2016, helping them reach the semi-finals where they were beaten by Portugal on penalties after a 2–2 draw after 120 minutes of play; this was his country's first ever appearance at a European Championship finals tournament.

Emre Belözoğlu has also won three Primeira Liga titles (with Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe), one Super Cup (with Inter Milan) and one Coppa Italia (with Internazionale).

On 15 January 2019, aged 42,[3] Belozoglu announced his retirement from professional football.[

He made an international debut for Turkey against Bulgaria on 10 October 2000[6], becoming their all-time leading scorer with 11 goals during Euro 2012 qualifying campaign and appearing in 4 matches including 3 starts at the tournament itself.

Scoring once against Spain which helped secure third place overall behind hosts Germany and Austria respectively[citation needed].
