Updated on:

The Alliance of American Football (AAF) was an exciting new professional American football minor league that began play in February 2019. Founded by Charlie Ebersol and Bill Polian, the AAF consisted of eight centrally owned and operated teams located in metropolitan areas with at least one major professional sports franchise.

The AAF provided fans with a unique and entertaining football experience, with a mix of traditional NFL rules combined with new innovations such as the “sky judge” system and the “overtime shootout.” Unfortunately, the AAF folded after one season due to financial issues.
