Louisiana Tech University’s football team has been a staple of the university’s athletics program since its inception in 1901. As a member of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, the Bulldogs have enjoyed success in recent years, competing in the Western Athletic Conference from 2001 through 2012, and making the transition to Conference USA in 2013.

Led by head coach Skip Holtz, the Bulldogs are a force to be reckoned with in their new conference, playing their home games at the Joe Aillet Stadium. With a consistent drive to succeed, Louisiana Tech is sure to make its mark in the years to come.

Jeff Driskel was born in Oviedo, Florida on April 23, 1993. He attended Hagerty High School before playing college football in Florida from 2011-2014. Driskel was drafted by the 49ers in 2016 but only played for them for one season before moving to the Bengals in 2017.

In 2018 he signed with the Lions and has been their starting quarterback ever since. Jeff Driskel was a 2-star quarterback recruit out of high school and didn't receive many Division I offers. He ended up choosing Louisiana Tech over Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, and others.

Driskel redshirted his freshman year at Louisiana Tech before starting the next two seasons as the starter. In those two years, he completed 59% of his passes for 3,955 yards with 24 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. 

After sitting out the 2015 season due to NCAA transfer rules, Driskel started all 13 games for Louisiana Tech in 2016 and led them to an undefeated regular season record (11–0) en route to their first C-USA championship since 2009.

The Bulldogs went on to lose 49-38 in the second round of the FBS playoffs against Western Kentucky but still earned a spot in the College Football Playoff as a #4 seed thanks to victories over Florida State (#1 seed), Georgia (#3) and Oklahoma. 

Despite being one win away from playing for a national title, injuries forced Jeff Driskel into retirement after just three seasons as a collegiate starter (22 starts). Since retiring from football, Jeff has been working as an NFL analyst on FOX Sports 1 while also doing some college recruiting work.

Now 27 years old, Jeff is considered by most experts to be one of if not THE best dual-threat quarterbacks in history – able or capable of running with any receiver no matter how talented they may be; passing with accuracy downfield even under pressure; making plays with his feet either outside or inside zone runs etcetera.

2. Josh Scobee

Josh Scobee was born in Longview, Texas and played football for Louisiana Tech. He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2004 and spent six seasons with them before moving on to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015.

Scobee is a two-time All-Pro kicker who has made more than 500 field goals during his career, including a record 56 touchbacks in 2013. Josh Scobee retired from professional football after playing one season with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2014 but he continues to work as a commentator for NFL games on Fox Sports 1.

Josh Scobee is a veteran kicker who has spent his entire 11-year NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars. 

He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2006 draft and made his debut in 2007. In 2012, he set a franchise record for most field goals in a season with 27 and also became just the second kicker in league history to make 50+ field goals in one season (joining Stephen Gostkowski).

The following year, he matched that total but missed four extra points during the playoffs which cost Jacksonville their chance at an AFC Championship game appearance. 

In 2016, he signed with New Orleans Saints as an unrestricted free agent and led all kickers in both field goal percentage (.806) and touchback percentage (14). Josh Scobee is currently third all-time on the Jaguars' scoring list with 466 points scored over 112 games played.

3. Amik Robertson

Amik Robertson was drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders. Amik played college football at Louisiana Tech and is currently an active member of the Raiders' roster.

Robertson has been praised for his athleticism and coverage skills, earning him a spot on several draft boards as a top-five corner prospect in 2020. 

With experience playing both man and zone coverage, Amik should be able to contribute immediately with the Raiders while developing into one of the league's best prospects down the line Robertson is a versatile defender who has the potential to be an elite player in the NFL.

He made an immediate impact as a freshman at SMU and was named First-team All-Conference USA in 2017. Robertson was drafted by the Raiders with the 45th pick of the 2018 draft, and he has since become one of their key defenders. 

Robertson has totaled 58 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 8 pass deflections, and 2 interceptions during his time in Oakland so far.

Terry Bradshaw is a legendary quarterback who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for over 20 years. He was one of the most successful players in NFL history and is still considered one of the best to ever play the game.

His career highlights include three Super Bowl championships (1971, 1974, 1979), as well as being named MVP twice (1974, 1978). 

Bradshaw also holds several other records and accolades during his time in the NFL, including becoming only the second player to pass for more than 4,000 yards in a season (5244 yards in 1976) and passing for 50 or more touchdowns six times throughout his career.

After retiring from playing football professionally at the end of 1983, Terry Bradshaw went on to have a successful career as an analyst with ESPN and CBS Sports before passing away aged 74 in September 2018 Terry Bradshaw was one of the most successful quarterbacks in NFL history. 

He won four Super Bowls and was MVP twice. Terry Bradshaw also had a successful career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, leading them to two more Super Bowl appearances.

Terry Bradshaw is a member of several Hall of Fame organizations, including the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame. In 2018, he was inducted into the Louisiana Tech Athletic Hall of Fame along with his father Bell, and brother Jerry.

Kentrell Brice is a strong safety who was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2016. He played for the Buccaneers and Seahawks before joining the Dragons in 2020.

Kentrell Brice had an impressive rookie season with the Packers, making 11 combined tackles and 2 interceptions while also returning one for a touchdown during his time on the field.

In 2019, he suffered an ankle injury which saw him miss six games of action but he has since bounced back to play well for Tampa Bay this season with 3 interceptions and 12 total tackles so far in 9 games played (including playoffs).

At 28 years old, Kentrell Brice will be looking to continue playing at a high level for many seasons to come and could potentially become an important member of any team's defense next year or beyond Kentrell Brice was drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears.

He played collegiately at Vanderbilt where he registered 139 tackles, 10 sacks and four interceptions over his career. Brice is a versatile player who can play both outside linebacker and defensive back in the NFL. 

In 2019, Brice spent time with both the Arizona Cardinals and Saskatchewan Roughriders on their practice squads before being added to Chicago's roster late in the year as an injury replacement for Danny Trevathan.

At 6'1″ tall and 225 pounds, Kentrell Brice has all of the physical tools necessary to be successful in the NFL based off of his college stats alone.

Quinton Patton played wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers from 2013 to 2016. He was drafted by the team in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft and played with them until 2016.

Patton has also played for the Tennessee Titans (2015) and Indianapolis Colts (2016). In total, he has made 92 receptions for 1,499 yards and six touchdowns in his career so far. Patton was a two-time first-team All-WAC receiver for the New York Jets.

Trent Taylor was drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. Taylor played college football at Louisiana Tech. He has appeared in 19 games with the Bengals over the past two seasons.

Ellis was a four-year starter at Louisiana Tech and was a finalist for the Lombardi Award as the nation's top defensive lineman in 2014. Ellis was signed by the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2014 and made the team as a nose tackle.

Ellis played in all 16 games for the Raiders in his rookie season and registered six tackles and one sack. Ellis was a mainstay on the Raiders' defensive line in 2015, starting all 16 games and recording 49 tackles, five sacks and one interception.

Ellis missed the majority of the 2016 season with a sprained ankle but returned in time for the playoffs and recorded a sack in the Raiders' Divisional Round loss to the Houston Texans. Ellis was traded to the Giants in March of 2019 and made the team as a nose tackle.

In nine games with the Giants, Ellis has recorded 41 tackles and one sack.

Boston Scott is a running back for the Philadelphia Eagles. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Scott attended Louisiana Tech and played for the Bulldogs from 2013 to 2017.

He was signed by the New Orleans Saints in 2018, but was released by the team in September. Scott was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles and has played in all 16 games for the team this season. Scott has averaged 3.4 yards per carry and has scored six touchdowns this season.

Rattay was a quarterback player in the NFL for nine seasons, including six with the San Francisco 49ers. He was most successful with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he started in 2006 and led the team to the playoffs in 2007.

Rattay was fired by the Arizona Cardinals in 2007, but he later rejoined the team as a quarterback coach. He left the Cardinals in 2010 to become the quarterbacks coach for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Rattay is currently the quarterbacks coach for the Cowboys.

Rattay is a former quarterback who played in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Rattay has also coached in the NFL, most recently as the wide receivers coach for the Washington Redskins. Rattay has also coached at Louisiana Tech and Oklahoma State.

Rattay was inducted into the Louisiana Tech Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007. Rattay is a two-time UFL champion as the wide receivers coach for the 2009 and 2010 Louisiana Tech teams.

Kenneth Dixon was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2016 NFL Draft. He played for the Baltimore Ravens from 2016-2018 before being traded to the New York Jets.

Dixon played for the Jets in 2019 before being traded to the Toronto Argonauts in the offseason. He is currently a member of the Toronto Argonauts. Kenneth Dixon has made a name for himself as a running back in the NFL.

 He set NCAA freshman single-season records for rushing touchdowns (27) and total touchdowns (28). Dixon was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

IK Enemkpali was born on July 3, 1991 in Pflugerville, Texas. Enemkpali played college football at Louisiana Tech. Enemkpali was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Enemkpali has played in 10 NFL games, including five starts. Enemkpali has recorded 16 tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble. Enemkpali is currently a free agent. Enemkpali is expected to compete for a starting position in the Buffalo Bills' defensive line in the upcoming season.

Enemkpali is married and has two children. Enemkpali is a self-motivated individual who is always looking to improve his skills. 

Enemkpali was a high draft pick by the Jets in 2014, but found himself in the NFL's doghouse due to off-field issues. He was traded to the Bills in 2015, but was waived in 2016.

He signed with the Raiders in 2017 and had a solid year, recording 14 tackles and 0.0 sacks.

Adairius Barnes was born on April 30, 1994 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He attended high school at Port Gibson and played college football at Louisiana Tech.

Barnes was undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft but signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. In Baltimore, Barnes competed for a spot on the team's cornerback roster and made the team as a rookie.

In 2017, Barnes was waived by the Ravens and signed with the Cleveland Browns. In 2018, Barnes was waived by the Browns and signed with the Detroit Lions. In 2019, Barnes was waived by the Lions and signed with the New York Giants.

In 2020, Barnes was waived by the Giants and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2021, Barnes was waived by the Buccaneers and signed with the Buffalo Bills. Barnes had a productive rookie season with the Detroit Lions. He had 7 total tackles, forced a fumble, and fumble recoveries.

Troy Edwards is a former NFL receiver who spent his entire career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was drafted by the Steelers in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft and played for them for six seasons.

Edwards spent two seasons with the St. Louis Rams and then two with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2005, he signed with the Titans and spent two seasons with them. Edwards then spent a season with the Detroit Lions before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars again in 2006.

Edwards retired from the NFL in 2007. He has since worked as a football analyst for various networks. Edwards was inducted into the Louisiana Tech University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007. 

He is married and has two children. Troy Edwards was a consensus All-American and Fred Biletnikoff Award winner at Michigan in 1998.

After playing three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, Edwards signed with the Minnesota Vikings in 2007 and had a productive year. Edwards was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009 and had another good year.

Fred Dean was a defensive end who played for the San Diego Chargers and San Francisco 49ers over a ten-year career. He was one of the most productive defensive ends in NFL history, registering over 100 sacks and making four Pro Bowl appearances.

Dean was also an intimidating player, known for his size and strength. He retired in 1985 after a decade in the league, and passed away in 2020 at the age of 68. Fred Dean was a major contributor to both teams he played for, and will long be remembered as one of the greatest NFL defenders of all time.

McCown is a quarterback who was drafted by the Browns in 2004. McCown spent four seasons with the Browns before moving on to the Buccaneers. McCown played for Tampa Bay for two seasons before signing with the Saints in 2015.

McCown has played in 112 NFL games, completing 5,069 of his 11,095 passes for 58,466 yards and 39 touchdowns. McCown is a two-time Pro Bowler and was named to the All-Pro Second Team in 2009. McCown was released by the Saints in August of this year.

Myron Baker was a linebacker for the NFL's Tennessee Titans from 1993 to 2002. He was drafted by the Titans in the fourth round of the 1993 NFL Draft. He played for the Titans for seven seasons and recorded 186 tackles, five sacks, and two interceptions.

He retired from the NFL in 2002. He is now a football coach at his alma mater, Louisiana Tech. He was inducted into the Louisiana Tech Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009. Baker is married and has two children.

Baker is a member of the Louisiana Tech Athletics Hall of Fame and the Tennessee Titans Hall of Fame. Jim Boudreaux is a former American football player and current coach. He played as a tackle and defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons.

Boudreaux played college football at Louisiana State University. He was a first-team All-American in 1966 and was inducted into the LSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1984.

After retiring from the NFL, Boudreaux became a head coach in the NFL. He was the head coach of the New Orleans Saints from 1993 to 1998 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1999 to 2002.

Artie Smith was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the fifth round of the 1993 NFL Draft. He played for the Cincinnati Bengals and the New England Patriots before retiring in 1998.

Smith is best known for his time with the Patriots, where he was a key player on the team's Super Bowl-winning squad in 1998. He also made a significant impact during his time with the 49ers, recording 12 sacks in his three seasons with the team.

Smith is a versatile player who is adept at playing both defensive end and outside linebacker. He also has experience as a pass rusher and as a run stopper. Smith is a two-time Pro Bowler and was also named to the All-Pro Team in 1998. He is currently the defensive line coach for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Billy Ryckman was a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys from 1977 to 1983. Ryckman was a huge part of the Cowboys' success in the early 1980s, and was a three-time Pro Bowler.

Ryckman was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 1983, and spent the next two years with the team. Ryckman was picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1986, and spent three seasons with the team.

Ryckman was signed by the Detroit Lions in 1990, and spent two seasons with the team. Ryckman was signed by the Washington Redskins in 1992, and spent two seasons with the team. Ryckman was signed by the Buffalo Bills in 1994, and spent two seasons with the team.

He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018. Holland has played in 106 games and has 581 receiving yards. He has also had 487 punt return yards and three touchdowns. Holland is a two-time Pro Bowler.

He earned his degree in business administration from Louisiana Tech in 2013. Holland is currently a wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Holland started out his career with the Oakland Raiders and played there for four seasons.

He then went on to play with the Arizona Cardinals for one season. After that, he spent a year with the Indianapolis Colts before signing with the Ottawa Redblacks. Holland is a versatile player who can play both linebacker and safety.

Roland Harper is a retired American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eleven seasons. He played for the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and San Francisco 49ers.

Harper was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002. He was diagnosed with leukemia in 2000, but recovered and continued to play. Harper is a minister and author. Harper is married to the former Toni Harper.

They have four children. Harper has endorsed conservative and Christian political candidates. Harper is a spokesman for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Harper currently resides in Seguin, Texas. Harper was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the 1975 NFL Draft.

Harper played with the Bears for six seasons. Harper was a Pro Bowl selection in 1980. Harper had a successful career in the NFL, amassing over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Doug Evans is a former NFL cornerback who played for the Green Bay Packers, Carolina Panthers, and Seattle Seahawks. Evans was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 1993 NFL Draft and played for them for four seasons.

He was then traded to the Carolina Panthers in 1998 and played for them for three seasons. He was then traded to the Seattle Seahawks in 2002 and played for them for two seasons. After leaving the NFL, Evans played for the New Orleans Saints for two seasons.

He retired in 2006 and now works as a cornerback coach for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Evans was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018. He has two children, a son and a daughter. Evans is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana. Doug Evans was a Super Bowl champion with the Detroit Lions in 2003.

He was a Second-team All-Pro in 1997. Evans played in six Pro Bowls during his career. He recorded 639 tackles, 28 interceptions and 6 sacks. After his playing career, Evans became a broadcaster for the Lions. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.

He was known for his speed and his ability to make acrobatic catches. Tilley retired from the NFL after playing for 14 seasons. He now works as a color commentator for Cardinals games.

Tilley was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007. Tilley has two children, one of whom is a professional quarterback. Tilley currently resides in Shreveport, Louisiana. Tilley was an eight-time Pro Bowler and played in the 1980 Pro Bowl.

Mickey Slaughter is a legendary quarterback in professional football. He played for the Baltimore Colts, the New York Jets, and the Dallas Cowboys, and had a successful career.

Slaughter was born in Monroe, Louisiana, in 1941. Slaughter attended Louisiana Tech University and played for the Bulldogs from 1959 to 1962. In 1963, Slaughter was drafted by the Baltimore Colts in the 7th round of the AFL Draft.

He played for the Colts for two seasons before moving to the New York Jets in 1965. Slaughter played for the Jets for four seasons before joining the Dallas Cowboys in 1969. He played for the Cowboys for eleven seasons, and was a key player on their teams that won three Super Bowls.

Slaughter retired from professional football in 1978. He has since been involved in coaching and officiating. Mickey Slaughter is a legend in American football, and he is still remembered for his illustrious career.

Williamson was an American football linebacker who played for the Baltimore Colts and the Houston Oilers in the NFL and the Minnesota Vikings in the AFL.

He was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on October 9, 1942. He attended Louisiana Tech and played linebacker for the Bulldogs from 1962 to 1964. Williamson was drafted by the Baltimore Colts in the eighth round of the 1964 NFL Draft and by the Minnesota Vikings in the ninth round of the AFL Draft.

He played for the Colts from 1964 to 1967 and the Oilers from 1967 to 1970. Williamson then played for the Cleveland Browns from 1971 to 1972. He finished his career with the Philadelphia Eagles from 1973 to 1976. 

Williamson died on July 11, 2020 in Houston, Texas at the age of 77. J. R. Williamson played for the Oakland Raiders and Boston Patriots in the 1960s and 1970s.

Williamson was an All-Pro linebacker for the Raiders and won a championship with the team in 1967. After playing for the Patriots, he retired and became a college football coach. 

He is the father of former NFL linebacker Jevon Williamson. Williamson was born on December 20, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee. He died on October 24, 2017, in Memphis.

George Benyola is a former NFL kicker and was most recently a kicker for the New England Patriots. Benyola was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and attended Allen High School.

43. George Doherty

George Doherty was born in Camden, Mississippi on September 5, 1920. He attended high school at Canton in Mississippi before enrolling at Louisiana Tech.

While at Louisiana Tech, Doherty played as a guard and tackle for the Bulldogs. Doherty was drafted by the Brooklyn Tigers in the 1944 NFL Draft. He played for the Tigers for two seasons before being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1946.

From 1946 to 1949, Doherty played for the Steelers. He then played for the Cleveland Browns from 1950 to 1951. From 1951 to 1953, Doherty played for the Washington Redskins. He retired from playing in 1953. He was a successful coach at Northwestern State, leading the Demons to three conference championships and three NCAA tournaments.

He also served as the school's athletic director from 1972 to 1978. Doherty was inducted into the Louisiana Tech Athletic Hall of Fame in 1983. He passed away in 2014 at the age of 88.

Eldonta Osborne is a linebacker who has played in the NFL for over 20 years. Osborne was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round of the 1989 NFL Draft.

He played for the 49ers, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, and Detroit Lions. Osborne was a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro. Osborne retired from the NFL in 2004.

He has since been a commentator and analyst for NFL games. Osborne is married and has two children. Osborne is a Louisiana native. Osborne is an inductee into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.

Eldonta Osborne is a former high school and college basketball player who has played in the NBA for two seasons. Osborne played for the Phoenix Cardinals in 1990 and the Shreveport Pirates in 1994 and 1995.

Osborne has a career record of 1-1. He played in one game for the Cardinals and scored three points. Osborne played for Louisiana Tech. Osborne was not drafted in 1990, but he was selected in the second round of the 1994 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Cardinals.

Osborne played for the Cardinals for two seasons before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1996. Osborne played for the Cavaliers for one season before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in 1998. Osborne played for the Bucks for one season before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in 1999.

Osborne played for the 76ers for two seasons before being traded to the Dallas Mavericks in 2002.

Garland Gregory played football and basketball at Columbia High School in Columbia, Louisiana. He then played college football at Louisiana Tech. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 1941 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins and played for the team for two seasons.

He then played for the Cleveland Browns for four seasons. He then played for the New Orleans Saints for thirteen seasons. He was inducted into the Louisiana Tech Hall of Fame in 1977. He was awarded the Pro Football Hall of Fame's prestigious Walter Camp Award in 1985. He was also awarded the George Halas Award in 1985.

He retired from football in 1968. Garland Gregory was an undrafted player in 1942 who played for the San Francisco 49ers. Gregory was a first-team Little All-American in 1941. Gregory played in 27 games over two seasons with the 49ers. Gregory had 20 starts in those two seasons. Gregory was a defensive back and return specialist.

Gregory is best known for his return of a punt for a touchdown against the Chicago Bears. Gregory died in 2006 at the age of 83.

Hiram Eugene was born on November 24, 1980 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Hiram attended Louisiana Tech and was a safety for the Bulldogs. He was undrafted in the 2006 NFL Draft but signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent.

He was released by the Dolphins in 2007 and signed with the New York Giants. He was released by the Giants in 2008 and signed with the Tennessee Titans. He was released by the Titans in 2009 and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was released by the Jaguars in 2010 and signed with the Indianapolis Colts.

He was released by the Colts in 2011 and signed with the Houston Texans. He was released by the Texans in 2012 and signed with the Buffalo Bills.

 Hiram Eugene is a safety who played for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs from 1998-2000, the Miami Dolphins from 2007-2008, and the New York Giants from 2008-2009. He was released by the Giants in 2009 and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he played until 2010.

He was then released by the Jaguars and signed with the Indianapolis Colts, where he played for one season. He was released by the Colts in 2011 and signed with the Houston Texans, where he played until 2012.

Jerron Wishom started his NFL career with the Houston Texans in 2005. He spent three seasons with the Green Bay Packers before signing with the San Francisco 49ers in 2006.

He played for the Minnesota Vikings from 2007 to 2009. He signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2010 and played for them until he was released in 2013. He rejoined the Saints in 2014 and has since played the majority of the season.

He will be playing in his tenth NFL season this year. Jerron Wishom is a cornerback and has played in over 100 games. He has made five Pro Bowl appearances and has been named to the All-Pro Team twice. He is a two-time winner of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

Jerron Wishom was drafted in the 5th round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He was waived by the Cowboys on September 3, 2008. He was signed to the practice squad of the Montreal Alouettes on September 4, 2008. He was released by the Alouettes on October 28, 2008.

He was signed to the practice squad of the Saskatchewan Roughriders on November 4, 2008. He was released by the Roughriders on December 10, 2008. He was signed to the practice squad of the Orlando Predators on December 16, 2008. He was released by the Predators on January 6, 2009.

Final Words

Louisiana Tech University’s football team has been a staple of the university’s athletics program for over 100 years, and has produced some of the best players in the country.

Some of the best players to ever wear the maroon and gold include Eric Zachery, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Trent Richardson. The Bulldogs have had a lot of success over the years, winning six conference championships and appearing in thirteen bowl games.
