Julio César Domínguez is a Mexican defender who currently plays for Cruz Azul. He made his senior debut with Chiapas in 2006 and went on to make over 100 appearances for them before joining Cruz Azul in 2012.

Julio César Domínguez has been capped by Mexico at U-17, U-20, and senior level. He has also represented the country at two Copa América tournaments (2007 & 2011). In May 2018 he was named as part of Mexico's 23 man squad for the World Cup in Russia.

After retiring from international football, Domínguez signed a one-year contract with Cruz Azul's Liga MX rivals Club América as an assistant coach to manager Vitor Pereira.

Jonathan Rodríguez is a forward for América who was born in Uruguay. He started his career at Atlético Florida and played for Peñarol before joining América in 2016.

Jonathan has represented Uruguay at youth levels, including the U-20 team that won the World Cup in 2015. His goalscoring exploits have seen him score 13 times in 46 appearances for América so far this season.

Jonathan is known as a hard worker on and off the pitch and is always looking to improve his game further Jonathan Rodríguez is a talented footballer who has spent his entire senior career with Peñarol. He has made over 38 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals.

In 2019, Jonathan rejoined Cruz Azul after spending one season at Deportivo La Coruña – making 95 appearances and scoring 44 goals during that time period.

Rafael Baca is a Mexican defensive midfielder currently playing for the San Jose Earthquakes. He started his career with Club Tijuana before moving to Atlas in 2011.

In 2012, he was signed by the San Jose Earthquakes and has since played over 100 games with them. Rafael Baca has been capped twice by Mexico national team at youth level and once at senior level.

He is known for his strong defense and accurate passing ability which allows him to create chances for teammates from the backline Rafael Baca is a Mexican defender who has played for Cruz Azul since joining the club in 2014.

He made his senior debut with San Jose Earthquakes in 2011, before spending two years with Loyola Marymount Lions. In 2013, he joined Cruz Azul and has spent the majority of his career there, making 257 appearances and scoring eight goals over that time period.

Rafael Baca is known for his strong defending abilities, as well as some impressive attacking runs from midfield which have led to goals on occasion; most notably during the Clausura 2018 season when he scored six times across all competitions.

Santiago Giménez is a forward for Feyenoord and was born in 2001. He has played for the Argentina under-17s, u-20s, and senior squad. In 2016, he signed his first professional contract with Feyenoord and made his debut later that year against SC Cambuur in the Eredivisie.

Pablo Aguilar is a Paraguayan footballer who currently plays for América. He started his career with Sportivo Luqueño before moving to Mexican side Pachuca in 2007.

Aguilar made 36 appearances for Pachuca, scoring one goal. In January 2011, he joined Chilean club Unión Santa Fe on loan until the end of the season, but was unable to prevent them from being relegated.

After returning to América, Aguilar helped them win the Clausura 2013 tournament and make it into the Copa Libertadores 2014 competition where they were knocked out by River Plate in the semi-finals.

He has also represented Paraguay at international level, making his debut against Venezuela in November 2009[4] and appearing at World Cups 2010 and 2014 without ever really establishing himself as first choice center-back.

On 14 December 2017 Pablo César Aguilar Benítez announced his retirement from professional football after 15 seasons playing professionally including 5 years with Club America..

Orbelín Pineda is a Mexican footballer who currently plays for AEK Athens in Greece on loan from Celta. He was born in Coyuca de Catalán, Guerrero and started his career with Querétaro before moving to Greece this season.

A versatile midfielder or winger, Pineda has played 44 games for Querétaro since 2014 as well as 8 games for AEK Athens so far this season. 

Orbelín is an agile player with good passing ability and can also score goals; he is likely to be an important part of any team he joins in the future.

With Mexico set to host the Concacaf Gold Cup next year, there's sure to be plenty more interest in Orbelin's performances over the coming months and years. 

Orbelín Pineda is a Mexican footballer who currently plays for Celta de Vigo on loan from AEK Athens. Orbelín started his career with Club América, before joining Guadalajara in 2016.

He has represented Mexico at both youth and senior level, winning medals at the CONCACAF Gold Cup and Copa America respectively. 

In 2019 he joined Cruz Azul on loan from AEK Athens where he has been an ever-present so far this season scoring seven goals in ten appearances. 

With over 100 club appearances to his name already, Orbelín looks set to continue playing football well into his thirties.

Luis Romo is a Mexican defender who currently plays for Monterrey in Liga MX. He started his career with Cruz Azul before moving to Querétaro in 2018. Luis Romo made his senior debut for Sonora during the 2017 season on loan from Querétaro.

The defensive midfielder has represented Mexico at youth levels and was called up to the national team for the first time in November 2018, for a friendly against Venezuela.[1] Luis Romo is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Querétaro.

He has represented Mexico at the Olympic Games and was part of their squad for the 2019 FIFA World Cup. In addition to his club career, Romo also has international experience with Mexico, playing in both the Copa America and CONCACAF Gold Cups. 

As a result of his performances at club level and internationally, he was named Best Goalkeeper in Liga MX in 2018–19 season by media outlet FutbolMLS.

Corona is a Mexican international goalkeeper who currently plays for Cruz Azul. He started his career with Atlas in 2002 and went on to play for Tecos from 2004-2009.

Corona joined Cruz Azul in 2009 where he has played 436 games, keeping 157 clean sheets along the way. His Mexico national team debut came in 1997 when he was part of the U17 side that reached the semi-finals of the World Cup.

Corona is known as one of Liga MX's most consistent goalkeepers, having helped Cruz Azul win back-to-back league titles in 2013 and 2014 respectively Corona was born on April 9, 1989 in Monterrey, Nuevo León. 

Corona started his career playing for Club Tijuana's youth academy and made his professional debut with the club in 2006.

In 2008, he transferred to Santos Laguna where he would go on to make over 200 appearances and score 32 goals before joining Pumas UNAM in 2018. Corona has represented Mexico at both U23 and Olympic level, winning a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics. 

He is currently contracted to play for Pumas UNAM until 2020 and will likely be looking to represent his country once again at the upcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup later this year.

Reynoso started his senior career with Alianza Lima in 1986. Reynosa joined Sabadell in 1990, and made 14 appearances for the club over two seasons. Reynoso then moved to Universitario where he played until 1994.

Reynoso had a successful spell at Peruvian side Lanus between 1995 and 1997, making 46 appearances and scoring five goals during that time. Reynoso subsequently retired from professional football after helping Lanus win the Copa Libertadores in 1998.

Reynoso later took up coaching duties with Lanus before being appointed manager of Peru in 2010 Reynoso was an assistant manager with Necaxa for four years before joining Juan Aurich in Chile. Reynoso will take over as manager of Puebla next season. 

Reynoso has extensive experience working with young players, having previously been an assistant manager at Cruz Azul Hidalgo and Melgar.

Aldrete started his career at Morelia and played there until he was loaned to Dorados in 2006. He made a return to Morelia in 2012, where he currently plays for UNAM.

Aldrete is known as a good left-back and has won several accolades during his career, most notably the 2011 Apertura title with Morelia. Aldrete also represented Mexico at Under-17 level before making his debut for the senior team in 2010 against Chile.

He has been capped 25 times by Mexico and participated in two World Cups (2010 and 2014). 

In 2015, Aldrete signed a new contract with Morelia that will keep him with the club until 2019 Aldrete is a Mexican international footballer who has played for Santos Laguna, Cruz Azul and UNAM.

Aldrete began his career with Mexico's U17 side before joining the senior squad in 2007. He has represented his country at various tournaments including the FIFA U-17 World Cup where he helped Mexico win their first title. 

Aldrete signed for Santos Laguna in 2012 before leaving to join Cruz Azul two years later where he won promotion to La Liga and captained the team during their 2016 Clausura campaign.

In January 2020, Aldrete joined UNAM as a free agent after terminating his contract with Cruz Azul following their relegation from La Liga; however, he left the club less than six months later without playing a single game for them.

Juan Escobar was born on 3 July 1995 in Luque, Paraguay. He is a central defender and right-back who currently plays for Cruz Azul. Juan Escobar has played at youth level for several different clubs, including Estudiantes de La Plata, Club Atlético River Plate and Boca Juniors amongst others.

In December 2017 he made his full international debut for Paraguay, coming on as a second-half substitute in their 1–0 victory over Uruguay in the Copa America Centenario final tournament.

Christian Giménez is an Argentine attacking midfielder who currently plays for Mazatlán in the Mexican second division. He has previously played for Boca Juniors and made 47 appearances during his two-year spell at the club.

Christian Giménez was born on 1 February 1981 in Resistencia, Chaco, Argentina. After playing for local side Club Atlético Resistencia as a youngster, he joined Boca Juniors in 1998 where he would make 47 appearances over the next two years before moving to Mexico later that year.

In 2002, Giménez returned to his home country and signed for Racing Club de Avellaneda where he spent three seasons until joining Mazatlán earlier this year.

Francisco Palencia is a Mexican professional footballer who plays for Spanish club Tec Academy Barcelona as a midfielder. Palencia began his career at Cruz Azul and played 239 games for the team over 11 years, scoring 91 goals.

In 2001, he joined Espanyol on loan and made 30 appearances before returning to Cruz Azul in 2003. He then spent three seasons with Guadalajara before joining Chivas USA in 2007. 

After one season with Chivas USA, Palencia moved to UNAM where he remained until 2011 when he retired from football due to injury Francisco Palencia is a Mexican footballer who played as a defender.

He started his career with UNAM and went on to play for Mazatlán, Barcelona and Tec Academy Barcelona in Europe. Palencia has represented Mexico at the international level and won the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 1998 as well as the Confederations Cup in 1999. 

After retiring from playing, he took up management positions with UNAM before moving to Lobos BUAP later that year. In 2020 he will take up a new position with Mazatlán after ending his contract with Tec Academy Barcelona.

Sebastián Jurado is a Mexican goalkeeper who currently plays for Cruz Azul. He made his professional debut in 2016 with the team and has since played 35 games, conceding just 16 goals.

Jurado was named to the Liga MX Best XI of 2017-18 and 2018-19. Earlier in his career, he spent time playing for Atlante Fútbol Club and Toluca FC before signing with Cruz Azul ahead of the 2019 season.

Sebastián's father is also a footballer - he played as a midfielder for Monterrey club Rayados de Monterrey during the 1990s and early 2000s before retiring from football at 36 years old due to injury sustained while playing against Atlas de Guadalajara on 12 February 2002.

Sebastián started playing football at an early age alongside his father, training daily outside of school hours[1].

After impressing scouts whilst playing for local side Veracruz Ixtepec youth team,[3], Sebastián moved up to play for Atlante Fútbol Club’s development squad in 2014 where he made four appearances across two seasons.

In August 2015, it was announced that Sebastián had signed a contract with premier league side Toluca FC until 2020 but only featured sparingly over two seasons; making 17 appearances between January 2016 and May 2017 scoring one goal.

On 9 July 2018 it was announced that Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid had agreed terms with Cruz Azul officials to sign 22-year-old Spaniard Diego López Gámez on loan until 30 June 2021 subject to medical clearance[8]; this subsequently led to speculation over whether or not Sebastián would move away from Mexico permanently.

Signing temporarily ended any rumors around him leaving Cruz Azul however after appearing as backup keeper behind Édgar Meza throughout their Copa Libertadores campaign which culminated in them lifting the trophy following penalties victory over River Plate on 13 November after being held 2–0 down at half time.

Alejandro Castro is a Mexican centre-back who has played for Cruz Azul since 2005. He made his international debut for Mexico in 2009 and has gone on to represent the country at three Copa America tournaments, as well as two FIFA World Cups (2010 & 2014).

Alejandro Castro was voted Liga MX Defender of the Year in 2011 and helped Cruz Azul retain their Primera Division title that year. 

In 2016 he transferred to UNAM where he will join up with former Cruz Azul teammate Omar Bravo - another Mexican international player currently playing in Mexico City's Liga MX league Castro started his career with Club Tijuana before joining Tecos in 2012.

Castro made 17 appearances for Tecos in the Mexican Liga MX during his time there, scoring one goal. Castro joined UNAM on loan in 2015 and helped them to win the Apertura championship that year. 

He then spent two seasons with Atlético San Luis before returning to Santos Laguna last season as a free agent without playing any games for them due to their relegation from La Liga Mexico.

Rogelio Chávez is a Mexican international footballer who plays as a right back for Liga MX club Puebla. He made his senior debut with Puebla in 2005 and has since gone on to make over 200 appearances for the side, scoring 8 goals.

Roberto Alvarado is a Mexican winger currently playing for Guadalajara. He joined Celaya from Pachuca in 2017 and made his senior debut the following year.

Roberto has represented Mexico at youth level and was included in their U20 squad for the World Cup last summer. His speed and dribbling ability make him an asset on the flanks, and he is also capable of scoring goals with either foot .

On 17 July 2018, Roberto Alvarado made his senior international debut for Mexico coming off the bench against Panama; Mexico won 2-0 thanks to goals from Hirving Lozano and Andres guardados. 

After appearing regularly for El Tri throughout qualification for Russia2018 (scoring once), RobertoAlvaredoMexicoWCF he started all three matches of El Tri's campaign at FIFA World Cup which saw them reach the quarterfinals before losing 2-1 to Belgium.

Pérez is a Mexican goalkeeper who has played for Cruz Azul and Tigres UANL. He made his debut for Cruz Azul in 1993 and went on to play 416 games for the club, including 131 in Liga MX competition.

In 2008, he moved to Tigres UANL on loan and helped the team win promotion from Liga MX that year. He rejoined them permanently two years later and remained with them until 2009 when he joined Chiapas on a loan deal.

After returning to Cruz Azul, Pérez then spent three seasons with Necaxa before joining San Luis on a season-long loan in 2013. In 2019, he signed for Pachuca as their new first-choice goalkeeper following the departure of Jesús Corona .

Perez represented Mexico at international level between 2002 and 2014 but has not appeared since 2015 due to injury problems . At club level , Perez won four titles (two Copa Libertadores , one CONCACAF Champions League ) during his time at Cruz Azul .

Despite being 36 years old now, it's highly likely that Óscar Perez will continue playing football into 2020 or 2021 as there are no indications yet that he plans to retire.

César Delgado is a former Argentine professional footballer who played as a winger. After playing for several clubs in his homeland, including Rosario Central and Cruz Azul, he joined Lyon in France in 2008.

In 2011, after only two seasons with Lyon, Delgado moved to Mexico to play for Monterrey. He remained there until the end of the 2013 season before returning to Argentina with Boca Juniors At the international level, Delgado represented Argentina at U-17 and U-20 levels before making his full debut for the senior side in 2003.

Javier Orozco is a Mexican footballer who plays as a forward for Santos Laguna. Orozco began his career with Cruz Azul in 2005, before moving to Santos Laguna two years later.

He has made 126 appearances for Cruz Azul and 85 for Santos Laguna overall. Orozco was part of the Mexico national team at the 2013 Confederations Cup, where they reached the semi-finals.

Joel Huiqui is a Mexican central defender who currently plays for Cruz Azul U-18. Huiqui made his professional debut with Cruz Azul in 2002 and has since played 135 games for the club, scoring four goals.

Huiqui also spent two seasons playing in Spain with Racing Santander and Rayo Vallecano respectively, before returning to Mexico to join Cruz Azul again in 2007. Melvin Brown is a Mexican professional footballer who currently plays for Cruz Azul in Mexico's Liga MX. He has played for Cruz Azul since 2004, and has made 101 appearances for the club overall.

Brown primarily plays as a centre-back, but can also be used as an attacking midfielder or winger when needed. After being born in Naranjos, Veracruz, Mexico, Melvin Brown moved to Spain at the age of six to join local side Chiapas before returning to his home country two years later to play for Cruz Azul.

In 2008 he was part of the team that won promotion back into Liga MX after finishing second in the 2006–07 season's Apertura tournament; this victory earned him his third championship medal with Cruz Azul that year. 

Having spent most of his career playing domestically in Mexico, Melvin Brown joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan during the winter break of 2013–14 Bundesliga season. However, he returned to his parent club shortly afterwards without making any appearances for them.

He represented Mexico at both under-17 and under-20 levels before making his senior debut in 1998 against Guyana. In November 2014 it was announced that Melvin Brown would undergo surgery on a herniated disc which ruled him out until late January 2015.

However he recovered sufficiently enough by early February 2015[9] and made an appearance off the bench against Pachuca days later,[10].

 On 18 May 2017 it was announced that following cruz azul’s relegation from Ligasa MX due lack player participation over last 3 seasons brown had been released from contract. Melvin brown is one of my favorite players because hes always so solid defensively even though hes not afraid go attack midfielders or forwards if need.

José Alberto Hernández is a Mexican footballer who currently plays for Cruz Azul Hidalgo. He has previously played for Atlante, Toluca and Puebla among others.

José Alberto is known for his attacking play from midfield and is often used as a substitute or on the bench. José Alberto made his international debut in 2005 and has since represented Mexico at both the Copa América (2007) and CONCACAF Gold Cup (2009, 2011).

In 2010 he was named Best Midfielder in Liga MX by ESPN México.[2] José Alberto married actress Mónica Rodríguez on 5 December 2014.[3] Hernández started his career with Cruz Azul. He was loaned to Necaxa in 2006 and played for them until 2007. Hernández then joined Monarcas Morelia on a loan deal in 2008.

While at the club, he helped them win the Torneo Clausura title that year. In 2009, Hernández moved to Jaguares where he would play until 2010 when he rejoined Cruz Azul permanently as a free agent. 

After playing sparingly for Cruz Azul during the 2011 season, Hernández departed Mexico City again and signed with Atlas de Guadalajara of Liga MX in 2012.

With Atlas, Hernández helped lead his team to back-to-back Liguilla titles before joining Chivas USA after the conclusion of Liguilla 2013. 

He re-joined Cruz Azul upon returning from injury; however due to an irregularity within their squad management system which saw him become the surplus property and subsequently released by new manager Juan Carlos Osorio early into preseason training camp.

Hernandez returned briefly but eventually retired from professional football altogether following an unceremonious exit fromCruz azul once more.

Osorio is a Mexican international footballer who has played for Cruz Azul Hidalgo, Cruz Azul and VfB Stuttgart. Osorio made his professional debut with Cruz Azul in 2000, going on to play 140 games for the club over six years before moving to Germany in 2006.

Osoria spent three seasons at VfB Stuttgart, making 73 appearances and helping them win the Bundesliga title in 2009–10. After leaving VfB Stuttgart, Osorio joined Chivas USA in January 2013 but left the club less than a year later after failing to make an impact with them.

In December 2014 it was announced that Osorio had signed for Puebla FC of Liga MX where he has since played 128 games without ever featuring in a Copa Libertadores or CONCACAF Champions League game as they have struggled both domestically and on continental fronts respectively.

Gerardo Flores joined Spanish club Zacatepec from Mexican side Zacatepec in 2003. He made his senior debut for the club in 2006 and has since become a regular starter at right back.

Gerardo Flores represented Mexico at under-17, under-20 and full international level before making his senior debut for El Tri in 2006. 

His performances for Mexico led to him being picked up by Premier League outfit Fulham in 2007 but he only featured sparingly there before joining newly promoted Championship side Birmingham City on a two-year deal later that year.

After spending time on loan with Greek side PAOK Salonika and Scottish Premiership outfit Dundee United, Gerardo Flores moved permanently to England with Blackburn Rovers in 2011 where he played until 2015 when he returned to Spain with Getafe CF.

A veteran of over 400 competitive games, Torrado is a defensive midfielder who has played for clubs including UNAM and Tenerife. A member of Mexico's World Cup-winning squad in 2010, he was part of the side that reached the semi-finals before losing to Spain.

Milton Caraglio is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Venados in the Liga MX. Milton was born on 1 December 1988 in Rosario, Argentina and started his career with local side Rosario Central before moving to Europe to join Dutch side Feyenoord in 2006.

After one season at Feyenoord, Milton joined Italian side Palermo where he spent two seasons before returning to Spain and joining Racing Santander.

Elías Hernández will turn 32 years old later this year and it's likely he'll call time on his career at some point soon thereafter - whether with Cruz Azul or another Mexican club remains to be seen however.

Alejandro Vela is a Mexican international footballer who plays as a winger for Cruz Azul. He began his career with Pumas UNAM and joined Real Sociedad in 2002, where he made over 100 appearances before joining Liga MX side Tigres UANL in 2009.

Vela represented Mexico at under-20 level and made his senior debut in 2006 against the United States, going on to make over 50 appearances for his country including qualification campaigns for both the 2010 World Cup and 2014 World Cup tournaments.

On 27 July 2013, it was announced that Vela had signed for La Liga club Atlético Madrid after scoring 19 goals in 51 games during the 2012–13 season; however, he only lasted one season at Atlético Madrid before returning to Tigres UANL in January of 2014.

In March 2017, it was announced that Vela would join MLS side LA Galaxy on a two-year deal worth $6 million USD.

Pablo Ceppelini is a 31-year-old Uruguayan midfielder currently playing for Cuiabá in the Brazilian Série A. He started his career with Bella Vista before moving to Peñarol and then Racing Club de Montevideo, where he made over 100 appearances between 2008 and 2013.

Ceppelini has represented Uruguay at youth level, making five appearances for the U-20 side before winning a call up to the senior team in 2011. He made his debut that same year against Chile and went on to make 38 more caps until 2016, scoring two goals along the way.

In January 2017, Ceppelini moved to Brazil after agreeing terms with Brazilian club Cuiabá. He has since had an impressive season with them, helping them qualify for the Copa Libertadores 2018 as well as their first ever Brasileirão title last month. 

Outside of football, Ceppelini studied business administration at Universidad Católica del Uruguay prior to starting his professional career in 2012 but later dropped out due to time constraints while still playing football full time (he now works part-time).

Rodrigo started his career with Morelia before moving to Cruz Azul in 2017. He made his professional debut during the Clausura 2018 season and has since established himself as an important player for the club.

Rodrigo is known for his speed, dribbling skills and passing ability which make him a threat on the pitch. He is also capable of scoring goals from distance which makes him one of Cruz Azul's most dangerous players.

José Ignacio Rivero Segade is an Uruguayan footballer who currently plays for the Mexican club Cruz Azul. He has previously played for clubs such as Nacional, Danubio and Liverpool Montevideo in his homeland, before moving to Europe in 2013.

Rivera made his professional debut with Cruz Azul in the Primera División on 21 July 2014 against Tijuana during which he started and was substituted off in the 56th minute for Francisco Rodríguez.

Tomás Campos is a Mexican football midfielder who currently plays for Juárez U-18. He has been capped at senior level by Mexico and helped the team qualify for the 2006 World Cup.

Tomás Campos started his career with Atlante before joining Tigres in 2001. In 2004, he moved to Cruz Azul where he spent six years playing 97 games and scoring 18 goals. Víctor Yoshimar Yotún was born on April 7th, 1990 in Callao, Peru. He started playing football for Academia Cantolao in 1997 and then moved to Italian side Circolo Sp.

Erik Lira started his career with Necaxa, before moving to UNAM for the 2018–2020 season. He has played internationally for Mexico at junior level and made one appearance for their U23 side in 2021. 

Erik is a versatile player who can play as an attacking midfielder or forward, but is perhaps best known for his creativity and passing ability.

In total, he has played 74 games for River Plate, scoring 21 goals. After joining Sion in January 2018, Carneiro made one appearance for the Swiss side before returning to Cruz Azul later that month.

Julio César Pinheiro is a Brazilian midfielder who played for Celaya in the 1996–97 season. He was born on August 22, 1976 in Itapeva, São Paulo and started playing football at age six.

After stints with other clubs in Brazil, he moved to Spain where he played for Valencia CF and Atlético Madrid from 2000 to 2004 before returning home to play for Corinthians Paulista from 2005 to 2006.

In 2007, he joined Santos FC of Brazil's Serie A and helped them win the Copa Libertadores that year as well as the Brasileirao championship two years later; both domestically and consecutively – an unprecedented feat in Brazilian football history.

On January 14th 2016 Pinheiro announced his retirement after 19 seasons playing professional football spanning over 500 appearances scoring 83 goals across all competitions including 57 league goals during his time at Santos FC (the most by any player ever at one club).

Julio Cesar Pinheiro García was awarded the Best Midfielder award by La Liga BBVA following their 2014-15 campaign where they finished 3rd behind Barcelona & Real Madrid CF respectively.

Making him only the second foreigner recipient of this prestigious accolade after compatriot Rivaldo won it back in 1997-98 whilst also playing for Barcelona LCF/CFC.

Sebastián Abreu is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for Universidad César Vallejo in the Chilean Primera División. He began his career with Olimpia de Minas, before joining Nacional de Minas and then San Lorenzo in Argentina.

He signed for Deportivo La Coruña in Spain in 1998. After four years with Deportivo, he joined Chilean side Universidad César Vallejo ahead of the 2004 season. 

Sebastián has scored over 100 goals during his career, including 43 league goals during two spells at San Lorenzo between 1996 and 1998 and 15 goals during one stint at Deportivo La Coruña from 1998 to 2004 Sebastián Abreu is a Brazilian midfielder who plays for Argentine club River Plate.

He has played for clubs in his native Brazil, Mexico and Argentina, before joining River Plate in 2015. In 2014 he was named the best player of the year by various media outlets, including ESPN Brasil and Fox Sports Argentina. 

His father was also a professional footballer; Sebastián started playing football at an early age with his father's former team Cruzeiro EC from Rio de Janeiro state. 

He made his senior debut for Cruzeiro on 24 May 2009 in a 1-1 draw against Vasco da Gama SP, coming on as a substitute for Paulo Henrique Ganso in the 78th minute of play.

After spending time on loan at Mexican side Tecos UAG during the 2013 season, Abreu joined Argentinian side Nacional permanently ahead of the 2014. 

Clausura tournament where he helped them to win their first-ever Copa Libertadores title after defeating Colombian club Atlético Nacional 3-0 on aggregate in the semi-final stage (winning 4–1 at home). 

On 7 July 2016, it was announced that Abreu had signed with MLS outfit Portland Timbers FC until 2020 following three years out injury which caused him to miss most of River Platte’s 2017 campaign finishing runner up losing 2 finals to Boca Juniors Fc.

Christian Tabó is a 29-year old Uruguayan winger who currently plays for Mexican side Cruz Azul. Tabó started his career with River Plate in Uruguay before moving to Europe to play for Dutch side Feyenoord Rotterdam and then Spanish outfit Racing Santander.

In 2016, Tabó joined Liga MX club Cruz Azul where he has since made over 100 appearances scoring 18 goals. 

He was part of the Uruguay national team that won the Copa America Centenario in 2017 and played at UEFA Euro 2020 where they reached the semi-finals but were eventually beaten by Portugal 5-11 on penalties after a goalless draw in their quarterfinal match.

Christian Tabó is considered one of the most promising young wingers in world football and will be looking to continue impressing this season Cruz Azul Tabó started his career at Racing Club-UY and went on to play for Atlas in the Mexican Primera Division. 

Tabó joined Puebla ahead of the 2018 Apertura season and has impressed with his performances so far. Tabó is a versatile player who can fill in at left-back, centre midfield, or forward; he is also known for his hard work off the pitch.

Tabó is expected to stay with Puebla until 2021 before joining Cruz Azul next year.

Ramiro Funes Mori is a defender who currently plays for Cruz Azul. He started his career with FC Dallas in 2008 and went on to play for River Plate between 2008-2011.

In 2012, he joined Villarreal where he has played since then, winning La Liga twice (in 2013 and 2015) as well as the Copa Del Rey in 2017. 

He was part of the Argentina squad that won the Copa América Centenario in 2016 and made two appearances at the World Cup later that year, including one against Croatia which helped them reach the quarter-finals.

At club level, Ramiro Funes Mori has also won titles with Villarreal from both La Liga (2013–2015) and Copa Del Rey (2017). 

He signed for Cruz Azul permanently ahead of season 2018/19 after spending time on loan there previously during seasons 2017/18 & 2018/19 Funes Mori is a versatile defender who can play at either back or in midfield. He has played for River Plate and Everton since joining the league, before spending two seasons with Villarreal.

The Argentinian international made his international debut in 2015 and has picked up 26 caps to date. Funes Mori is known as an efficient tackler and good crosser of the ball, which could see him take on a more attacking role with Argentina in the future.

. . Cruz Azul is one of the most successful and beloved football clubs in Mexico. Founded in Jasso, Hidalgo in 1899, Cruz Azul has won a total of 64 national championships (48 Mexican Primera División titles and 20 Copa Libertadores), making them one of the most decorated teams in history.

Some of their greatest players include Hugo Sánchez, Alfredo Di Stéfano, Raúl González Blanco, Javier Clemente Orozco and Andrés Guardado. The team’s all-time leading scorer is Hugo Sanchez with 582 goals from 576 appearances.
