Club Deportivo Guadalajara, commonly known as Chivas, is one of the most successful and recognizable teams in Mexican football. Founded in 1906, the club plays its home games at the iconic Estadio Chivas in the city of Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico. Over the years, Chivas have established a reputation as one of the most successful teams in the country, having won the Liga MX title twelve times, most recently in 2018.

Fernando Hierro played for Vélez and Málaga as a defender before becoming Spain's manager in 2018. Hierro was appointed to replace Julen Lopetegui after the World Cup disaster.

He led Spain to the European Championships, but they were eliminated in the semi-finals by Portugal. In November, he resigned from his position and was replaced by Fernando Santos.

Hierro is married with two children and lives in Andalusia, southern Spain Fernando Hierro was born on May 12, 1969, in Valladolid, Spain. Fernando Hierro began his career with local side Valladolid before joining Spanish giants Real Madrid in 1987.

In 1989, he made his international debut for Spain and went on to win 89 caps – 29 of which were as captain – over a 15-year period. 

After retiring from playing professionally in 2002, Hierro took up a coaching position at Real Madrid's youth academy and later served as assistant manager to Zinedine Zidane during the Frenchman's time at the club.

He was appointed head coach of Oviedo in 2016 but left after two months due to personal reasons; he returned to manage Spain four years later.

Javier Hernández is a Mexican international striker who currently plays for LA Galaxy. He began his career with Guadalajara before moving to Manchester United in 2010.

After two seasons at Old Trafford, he joined Bayer Leverkusen on loan in 2015 where he made 54 appearances and scored 28 goals. In 2017, he moved to Real Madrid on a permanent basis and has since helped the club win three La Liga titles and the Copa del Rey trophy.

Hernandez was named runner-up for the 2018 Ballon d'Or award after scoring 43 goals in all competitions for Los Blancos that season. 

Javier Hernandez, commonly known as Chicharito or "The Hernán" is a Mexican professional footballer who plays for Premier League club West Ham United and the Mexico national team.

A striker by trade, Chicharito has spent most of his career in Europe playing for Spanish side Real Madrid, English side Manchester United and French side Lille. 

He made his international debut in 2007 and has gone on to score 55 goals for Mexico over 109 appearances, making him their all-time leading scorer. 

In May 2019 he announced that he would be retiring from international football after the 2020 World Cup finals due to injury concerns arising from a succession of concussions sustained throughout his career.

Outside of football, Javier Hernandez is also an entrepreneur with interests in music production and marketing; he founded the clothing brand The Hernán Collection with brother Raúl in 2018.

Carlos Vela is a Mexican international forward who currently plays for LAFC in the United States. Carlos Vela began his career with Guadalajara before moving to Arsenal in 2005.

He made 29 appearances for Arsenal over three seasons. In 2006, Carlos Vela moved to Celta Vigo on loan, where he scored no goals but did provide two assists in 18 appearances. 

Following his time at Celta Velo, Carlos signed with Los Angeles FC and has since helped them reach the playoffs twice (in 2018 and 2019).

Carlos Alberto Vela Garrido was born on 1 March 1989 in Cancún, Mexico.[1] He started playing football at a young age with local side Atlético Balompié before joining Guadalajara's youth setup in 2002.

After making just one appearance for Guadalajara's first team – coming off the bench against Pumas UNAM – Carlos joined English club Arsenal as an apprentice in 2005.

Spending three years with the Gunners' academy,[4] he had limited opportunities to make any real impact during his time there; however, he did score once from open play whilst on loan at Spanish side Celta de Vigo during the 2006–07 season.

On 31 January 2007, it was announced that both parties had reached an agreement whereby Arsène Wenger would sell Carlos to Liga MX side Club América,[7] which took place six days later after passing a medical examination.

At América , Carlo continued developing into one of Mexico 's most coveted forwards; appearing 72 times across all competitions between 2007 and 2013 inclusive, scoring 34 goals including 14 Copa México winners medals.

Daniel Ríos started his professional career at Guadalajara, and has since established himself as one of Mexico's most promising strikers. Daniel is a very strong player with good technique and excellent power in both feet.

Oribe Peralta is a Mexican footballer who has played for Santos Laguna, Monterrey and América. He scored 82 goals in 182 appearances for América since 2014.

Oribe Peralta made his international debut for Mexico in 2003 and has gone on to win 57 caps, scoring six goals. In 2008, he joined Chiapas on loan and helped them reach the 2009 CONCACAF Champions League Final where they were defeated by Chelsea 2–1 after extra time.

Víctor Guzmán is a Mexican footballer who currently plays for Guadalajara. He made his senior debut in 2015 with Jasso Fariña's side and has since gone on to make 38 appearances for the club across all competitions.

In 2017, he helped lead Guadalajara to their first Liga MX title in over two decades as they finished above rivals Club America. Previously, he had played for clubs such as Atlético Nacional and Cruz Azul among others before making the switch to Mexico's top flight in 2015.

Víctor is known for his creativity and passing ability from midfield which has seen him be compared to former Spain international Xavi Hernández.

Victor Guzmán is a Mexican footballer who plays for Pachuca. He has played for the Mexico national team on multiple occasions, most recently in 2018.

Victor Guzmán started his career with Atlas in 2012 and went on to play for other clubs including Pachuca and Guadalajara before joining the Mexico U23 side in 2016. 

His talent was recognised early on, as he won several awards while playing at lower levels of football including Liga MX Player of the Year twice (with Atlas and then Pachuca) and CONCACAF Under-20 Championship Golden Boot winner (2015).

Victor Guzmán’s success at international level saw him called up by manager Juan Carlos Osorio for Mexico’s matches against Canada and El Salvador during their World Cup qualification campaign – though he wasn't able to help them secure a berth in Russia due to a 0–1 home loss against America later that same month.

Roberto Alvarado is a Mexican winger currently playing for Guadalajara. He joined Celaya from Pachuca in 2017 and made his senior debut the following year.

Roberto has represented Mexico at youth level and was included in their U20 squad for the World Cup last summer. His speed and dribbling ability make him an asset on the flanks, and he is also capable of scoring goals with either foot .

Roberto Alvarado made his Liga MX debut with Atlas on 5 August 2016 against Pachuca and scored his first goal for Atlas two weeks later against Chiapas in an 8-1 victory.

In February 2018, Roberto Alvarado helped Atlas win their first ever league title after scoring six goals during the Clausura tournament including two penalties shootout goals to help them defeat Santos Laguna 4-3 on aggregate in the final matchday of the Apertura tournament finals.

On 17 July 2018, Roberto Alvarado made his senior international debut for Mexico coming off the bench against Panama; Mexico won 2-0 thanks to goals from Hirving Lozano and Andres guardados. 

After appearing regularly for El Tri throughout qualification for Russia2018 (scoring once), RobertoAlvaredoMexicoWCF he started all three matches of El Tri's campaign at FIFA World Cup which saw them reach the quarterfinals before losing 2-1 to Belgium.

Alan Mozo is a Mexican footballer who currently plays for Guadalajara. He started his youth career with Club America before moving to Guadalajara in 2016.

Alan is primarily known as a right-back, but has also played at centre-back and left midfield on occasion. Alan made his senior debut in 2018, playing against Santos Laguna in the Copa MX Finals.

In 2017, he was named Liga MX Young Player of the Year after being voted by fellow players and coaches throughout the season. Outside of football, Alan studies law at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

Alfredo Talavera is a goalkeeper who has played for clubs such as Guadalajara and Juárez. He was part of the Mexico squad at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.

In 2016, he helped his club reach the Liga MX final where they lost to América de México on penalties after a 1-1 draw in extra time.

Alfredo Talavera has also represented his country at various international tournaments including the Copa America (2007, 2015), Gold Cup (2009, 2013) and CONCACAF Gold Cup (2015).

Alejandro Mayorga is a Mexican footballer who plays as a left-back for Guadalajara. Alejandro Mayorga made his senior debut with Guadalajara in the 2016–17 season, and has since gone on to make over 50 appearances for them.

Alejandro Mayorga began his career at Club América before moving to Guadalajara in 2017. In addition to playing football, Alejandro Mayorga also competes in track and field events – he represented Mexico at the youth level in both athletics and swimming.

Omar Bravo is a Mexican striker who played for Guadalajara, Deportivo La Coruña and Sporting Kansas City. He joined Cruz Azul in 2012 and helped the club to win the Mexican Championship that season.
