Bruno Valdez is a Paraguayan defender who currently plays for Colombian side Atlético Nacional. Valdez made his senior debut in the 2013 season, playing 27 matches and scoring one goal.

In 2017, he was part of the Paraguay national team that reached the final of the Copa América Centenario, where they lost to Chile 2-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the semi-finals. 

In 2018, Valdez signed with Mexican club Tigres UANL from Atlético Nacional for a reported $14 million transfer fee.[2] Bruno began his professional career at Fernando de la Mora before joining Club Libertad as an academy player in 2011.

He then worked his way up through Cerro Porteño's youth system until making his first-team debut aged 19.[4] After winning two league titles and three cups with Libertad (including back to back trebles).

Valdez completed a move to Brazilian giants Flamengo – becoming their most expensive signing ever at €12 million – ahead of 2016 Brasileirão season. 

Valdezes' impressive performances saw him called up by new Colombia manager José Pekerman for friendlies against Bolivia and Peru,[6][7] before making his full international debut against Venezuela on 12 November 2017.

He has since earned 10 caps overall including 3 appearances at Copa America tournaments including being named Man of The Match in their quarterfinal victory over Brazil which sent them into the semifinals where they eventually went down 4–0 to Argentina.

Richard Sánchez is a Paraguayan footballer who currently plays for Valencia CF in Spain. He spent the first four years of his career at Club Atlético Cerro Porteño, before being signed by Valencia in 2017.

Sánchez has represented Paraguay at youth level and made his senior debut in 2016. In 2018, he was named La Liga Player of the Month after scoring three goals in two appearances during the month of March. 

Richard Sánchez is known for his powerful shot and creative play on the pitch, which has seen him score several goals throughout his career so far Richard Sánchez is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for River Plate and Olimpia.

After progressing through the ranks at Racing Santander, he signed with English side Chelsea FC in June 2015 but failed to make an appearance for the first team during his time there and left Stamford Bridge after only six months without making a single appearance for their reserve team either.

Richard then moved back to South America where he joined River Plate ahead of the 2016 season after impressing manager Marcelo Bielsa while on trial with the La Liga outfit earlier that year.

Villar began his professional career with Paraguayan side Sol de América in 1996. He joined Argentine giants Libertad a year later and helped the club win the Copa Libertadores title in 2001.

Villar spent four seasons at Newell's Old Boys before joining Spanish side Valladolid in 2008. In 2011, Villar transferred to Chilean champions Colo-Colo where he played until 2016 when he retired from football due to injury aged 45 years old.

Justo Villar is considered one of the best goalkeepers ever to play for Paraguay and was named as part of their squad for their 2018 World Cup campaign which they failed to qualify for however.[1] Justo Villar is a Paraguayan footballer who has played for Club Atlético Paraná and Nacional.

Justo Villar represented his country at Copa América in 2011, where they reached the final but lost to Argentina. Justo Villar has also played for Colo-Colo and National since joining up with each team in 2013 respectively. 

However, he didn't feature for either side during the 2017–2018 season and was subsequently released by Nacional later that year.

Romero is a Paraguayan winger who currently plays for Corinthians. He started his career at Atlético Paranaense before moving to Brazilian side Internacional in 2013.

In 2017, he joined Corinthians and has since made 98 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals. Romero was part of the Paraguay squad that competed at the 2018 World Cup but did not make an appearance in Russia.

His twin brother, Édgar, also plays football professionally and they are known as "Los Romeros". Brazil Romero is a defender who has played for several clubs in Argentina and Chile. 

He was signed by Corinthians in 2018, but did not make an appearance for the club before moving to San Lorenzo later that year.

He made his international debut for Paraguay in 2013 and has since represented them at various tournaments including Copa América Centenario and the World Cup.

Gatito Fernández is a Paraguayan goalkeeper who currently plays for Botafogo. Fernandez started his career with Cerro Porteño in 2000, and went on to make 122 appearances for the club over six seasons.

In 2007, he joined Brazilian side Corinthians, where he made 58 appearances before moving back to Paraguay in 2014 to join Botafogo. 

Fernandez has represented his country at Under-20 level, as well as appearing twice for the senior team – most recently during the Copa America Centenario tournament in 2016.

He is considered one of Paraguay's finest goalkeepers and is widely regarded as one of South America's top prospects heading into the future Gatito Fernández is a Paraguayan international footballer who currently plays for Brazilian club Botafogo. 

He started his career with Argentine side Racing and has also played for Dutch side Utrecht and Portuguese outfit Vitória.

In 2017, he joined Brazilian club Botafogo on a season-long loan deal. Gatito is known for his powerful shot and accurate passing ability, which has earned him several nicknames including El Mago (The Wizard) and el Pichichi (The Pot). 

He represented Paraguay at the Copa América in 2011 where they reached the final but were sadly beaten by Argentina. In 2018, he won his first title with Botafogo after they beat Flamengo in the Brasileirão championship Final matchday 6th fixture - scoring both goals in the process.

Gustavo Gómez is a Paraguayan defender who currently plays for Palmeiras. Gustavo Gómez made his senior debut with Cerro Porteño in 2013 and quickly showed promise, earning selection to the Paraguay national team soon after.

In 2017, Gustavo joined Palmeiras on a four-year contract and has since played an important role at the club, helping them win back-to-back Brazilian Championships in 2018 and 2019.

Alonso began his career with Cerro Porteño in 2011. He made 21 appearances for the Paraguayan national team between 2012 and 2018, scoring one goal. Alonso joined Krasnodar in January 2019.

Júnior Alonso is a Colombian international footballer who plays for French club Lille and the Colombia national team. 

Júnior has played 136 games for Argentine side Cerro Porteño, 46 games for Belgian side Lille, 9 games on loan at Celta de Vigo in Spain and 32 appearances for Brazilian outfit Atlético Mineiro since making his professional debut in 2013.

Alonso came to prominence with Paraguay's U20 team, where he helped them win the 2013 South American Youth Championship before being called up to the senior squad by then-coach Jorge Sampaoli in March of that year. 

The 23-year old made his full international debut against Venezuela on 5 October 2013, going onto make 47 appearances and score two goals over the following three years while representing Colombia at Copa América Centenario (2015) as well as both World Cups (2018 & 2022).

In August 2018 it was announced that Júnior would join Belgian champions Lille on a season long loan deal with an option to buy after impressing during stints with Atlético Mineiro and Boca Juniors earlier in his career.

He scored nine times whilst playing 21 matches between January 2019 and February 2020 prior to returning to Atlético Mineiro permanently ahead of their UEFA Champions League campaign which ended without success early this month.

Andrés Cubas is a 26-year-old midfielder who currently plays for Vancouver Whitecaps. He was born in Argentina and started his career at Argentinos Juniors.

Jesús Medina is a Paraguayan footballer who currently plays for Russian club CSKA Moscow. He is primarily a winger but can also play as an attacking midfielder.

Julio César Romero Insfrán is a Paraguayan attacking midfielder who played for Sportivo Luqueño and New York Cosmos in his early career. In 1983, he transferred to Fluminense where he became one of the most consistent players in the club's history.

He retired in 1988 after playing 211 games for Fluminense. Romero Insfrán is currently the manager of Liga Deportiva Desportiva Comunicaciones.

José Luis Chilavert is a Paraguayan goalkeeper who is best known for playing for Argentinian side San Lorenzo. Chilavert made his professional debut in 1985 and went on to appear in more than 500 league matches for the club.

Ayala then played for Colo-Colo before retiring in 2006. Ayala was a regular for Paraguay in the Copa América and FIFA World Cup tournaments.

Roberto Cabañas was a Paraguayan footballer who played as a forward.
