Alan Franco was born on August 21, 1998 in Jujan, Ecuador. Alan started his career at Venecia before joining Atlético Mineiro as a youth player in 2011.

He made his professional debut with Atlético Mineiro during the 2017 season and has since been loaned out to Talleres (on loan from Atlético Mineiro) in Brazil.

Alan is known for being an attacking midfielder who can create chances for himself and others around him with his excellent passing ability. 

Alan is still young and has plenty of potential to develop further as a footballer; he will be hoping to make an impact for Atlético Mineiro domestically and also abroad in future seasons.

Franco began his senior career at Colombian side Norte América. He signed for Argentine side Independiente del Valle in 2016, and made 62 appearances over the course of two seasons. 

Franco then moved to Brazilian club Atlético Mineiro on a free transfer in 2020, making 43 appearances before moving to Charlotte FC on loan in 2022.

His international debut came in 2015 during Ecuador's U17 campaign, where he scored five goals en route to fifth place finish at the tournament. Franco has since earned 27 caps for Ecuador and found the back of the net once.

Torres was born on January 11th, 1997 in San Lorenzo, Ecuador. He is a defender and currently plays for Santos Laguna. Torres has represented Ecuador at youth levels and has made one senior international appearance to date.

Torres is 1.87 meters tall and has shown great potential both as a defensive player and creative midfielder throughout his career so far Torres is a young and promising forward who has been playing for LDU Portoviejo since 2013.

He has had success in the Ecuadorian league, most notably with Barcelona SC on loan from Santos Laguna this season. Torres is known for his speed, dribbling ability, and shooting power; he was recently named Ecuadorean U-20 captain.

Torres is likely to be a key player for Ecuador at the upcoming World Cup qualifying rounds.

Mena is a winger who currently plays for León. Mena has played club football in Ecuador, Spain, and Portugal. He made his international debut for Ecuador in 2008 and has since represented the country at various senior levels.

In 2015, Mena was part of the Ecuador team that reached the Copa America final tournament, where they were defeated by Chile. 

Mena is a highly rated player with plenty of potential and he is expected to continue developing as one of the leading talents in world football Mena is a versatile midfielder who can play in midfield or at full back.

He started his career with Emelec, before moving to Deportivo Cuenca on loan in 2010. In 2017, Mena joined Cruz Azul and has since made 52 appearances for the Liga MX side. Mena has also played for Ecuador national team and won 46 caps to date. 

With over 68 league appearances under his belt, Mena is one of Cruz Azul's longest-serving players currently playing in Mexico.

Michael Estrada was born on 7 April 1996 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He is a forward and currently plays for Cruz Azul on loan from Toluca. Michael has made 26 appearances for the club so far, scoring 5 goals.

Before joining Cruz Azul, he spent time with Independiente del Valle in 2017 where he scored 4 goals in 14 appearances. 

Michael is considered to be one of the most promising young forwards in Mexico and his performances at international level have caught the attention of several top clubs across Europe including Valencia and Feyenoord. 

Michael Estrada is a midfielder who has played for several clubs in his career, most notably Macará and El Nacional.

In 2017, he made his international debut for Ecuador and continued to play for them until 2018. He joined Independiente del Valle in 2019 and has been their captain ever since. 

Michael Estrada is currently with D.C United on loan from Toluca, where he has made 16 appearances so far this season.

Aguinaga was a midfielder for Ecuadorian side Deportivo Quito and Mexican outfit Necaxa. Aguinaga started his coaching career in 2015 with Deportivo Cuenca, who he led to the Liga de Ascenso title that season.

In 2017, Aguinaga took charge of Club Santos Laguna in Mexico's second tier. He left this position after one year to take over at newly-promoted Club Tijuana. Aguinaga played for Cruz Azul from 2003 to 2004, during which time the team finished in 14th place.

After leaving Cruz Azul, Aguinaga had a successful international career with Ecuador. He made 109 appearances and scored 23 goals over a nine-year period. 

In 2011, Aguinaga became an assistant manager at América de Quito before moving on to Barcelona SC two years later as head coach.

His tenure was short-lived however, as he was fired after just one season in charge of the club. Aguinaka then took up posts with LDU Loja (2013), Correcaminos UAT (2014–2015) and Deportivo Cuenca (2016). 

All four clubs were unsuccessful in qualifying for the Liga MX playoffs during his managerial stints there respectively.

Cifuentes was born in Esmeraldas, Ecuador on March 12th 1999. He joined Universidad Católica aged just 16 and made his debut for the club in 2016. Cifuentes spent two seasons with Universidad Católica before joining América de Quito on loan in 2017.

Los Angeles FC signed Cifuentes as a Designated Player ahead of the 2019 season. Jose has represented Ecuador at youth levels, making his full international debut in 2018 against Chile Jose Cifuentes was born on July 2nd, 1997 in the city of Guayaquil in Ecuador.

Jose started playing football at a young age and quickly became one of the best players in his region. 

In 2018, he signed with Los Angeles FC after impressing during their Academy trials. He made his professional debut for LAFC against Orlando City SC on March 17th, 2019 and impressed throughout the match, scoring an important goal in a 3-1 victory..

Jose is currently contracted to Los Angeles FC until 2021 and has already helped them reach the playoffs once this season.

Diego Palacios is a left-back who currently plays for Los Angeles FC. Diego Palacios made his senior debut with SD Aucas in 2016 and has since gone on to play for them on 23 occasions.

Diego Palacios is of Ecuadorian descent, and joined SD Aucas at the age of 13 after coming through their youth academy. At 1.69m (5ft 7in), Diego Palacias is tall but relatively lightweight for a defender, meaning he can cope with physical challenges well.

With an eye for goal, Diego Palacio has scored one goal during his time in professional football - which came against LA Galaxy II in March 2019.

Diego Palacios is an Ecuadorian footballer who currently plays for Los Angeles FC in the United States. Diego was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and started playing football at an early age with local side Emelec.

After impressing during his time with Emelec, Diego signed for Dutch club Willem II on loan in 2018. The 20-year-old made 27 appearances for Willem II over two seasons before joining LAFC this January. 

In 2019 he will be competing at the FIFA U-20 World Cup where he has been called up by Ecuador coach José Francisco Sarmiento to make their debut appearance at the tournament finals later this year.

Méndez is a midfielder for São Paulo and was part of the Ecuador U20 team that made it to the final of the 2017 South American Youth Championship. Méndez started his career with Norte América, before joining Sao Paulo in 2018.

Méndez has played at various youth levels for Ecuador and will hope to continue playing at a high level for his country in the future. Méndez is an experienced defender who has spent his entire senior career with Independiente.

Méndez was part of the Ecuadorian national team that qualified for the World Cup in 2018. Méndez made his international debut in 2015 and has since played 34 games for Ecuador. 

Méndez signed with Orlando City ahead of the 2019 season, but he did not appear in a single game for them before being loaned to Los Angeles FC at the end of the year.

Méndez will join São Paulo during the 2022 season and is expected to be a key player for them on their way to winning back-to-back titles in Brazil's Serie A league.

Valencia was born in Esmeraldas, Ecuador and started playing football at a young age with local side Atlético Eloy Alfaro. After impressing with Fenerbahçe's youth sides, Valencia made his professional debut in 2009 and has since become one of the team's key players.

In 2011 he helped the club win their first Turkish League title and two years later he completed a €24 million move to Manchester City where he won three Premier League titles before joining Fenerbahçe again in 2017. 

A quick, hard-working forward who is capable of scoring goals either from distance or close up, Valencia is already an Espanyol legend after netting 36 times for them during his time there between 2013 and 2015.

He has also represented Ecuador at international level on numerous occasions, most notably at the 2014 World Cup where they reached the quarter finals before being knocked out by Argentina. 

With over 200 appearances for both Fenerbahçe and Manchester City combined, Enner Valencia is now firmly established as one of Europe’s top forwards.

Iván Hurtado is a retired Ecuadorian footballer who played for Emelec and Celaya in his country's top division. Iván Hurtado made his professional debut with Emelec in 1992, aged just 18.

He spent six seasons with the club before joining Celaya in 1999. After leaving Celaya, Hurtado had spells at Tigres (2001-2002) and Querétaro (2002). His final appearance came on 14 March 2002 against UANL Laguna in Mexico City's Liga MX.

Iván Hurtada announced his retirement from football after playing his last game for Querétaro on 20 November 2001. 

In total, Iván Hurtado made 102 appearances for Emelec and 89 for Celaya – scoring two goals during that time span. Currently, Iván lives in Spain with his wife and three children.

Carlos Gruezo is a Ecuadorian midfielder who currently plays for FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga. Carlos Gruezo started his career at Unión Deportiva Juvenil and made an impression with LDU Quito later on.

Pervis Estupiñán is a Ecuadorian-born left-back who joined Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2016. Estupiñán started his career at LDU Quito, where he made over 100 appearances in four years.

Ulises de la Cruz is a retired footballer and politician who represented Carchi Province in the National Assembly. De la Cruz was born in 1974 in Piquiucho, Carchi Province, Ecuador.

De la Cruz played as a defender for clubs in Ecuador and Chile. De la Cruz retired from football in 2008. De la Cruz was elected to the National Assembly for Carchi Province in May 2013.

De la Cruz served as the PAIS Alliance's spokesperson on sports and physical education until his resignation in May 2017. De la Cruz is married and has two children. De la Cruz is a devout Catholic.

De la Cruz is a former footballer who represented Carchi Province in the Ecuadorian Football Federation. De la Cruz began his career at Deportivo Quito before transferring to Barcelona S.C. in 1995. 

De la Cruz made his international debut for Ecuador in 1995 and went on to score 101 goals in 101 appearances.

After leaving Barcelona S.C., De la Cruz returned to Deportivo Quito and then moved to Aston Villa in 2006. De la Cruz retired from professional football in 2008 but continued to play for LDU Quito. 

De la Cruz has been named Ecuadorian Player of the Year five times and is the all-time leading goal scorer for the national team.

De la Cruz was named in the FIFA World Cup All-Star Team in 2010. In 2013, De la Cruz became the new head coach of LDU Quito.

Giovanny Espinoza is a central defender who has played for Aucas and Monterrey in Ecuador. He made his senior debut for Aucas in 1997 and has since played for Monterrey, Racing Santander, Liga MX side Pachuca, and current club Toluca.

Espinoza has represented his country at various levels, including the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He is nicknamed "El Chino" (the Chinese man) due to his participation in the Chinese Super League. Espinoza is a commanding defender who is known for his aerial ability and strong tackling.

He is a key figure for Toluca, who are currently in the Liga MX playoffs. Espinoza is married and has two children.

Alberto Spencer was born on December 6, 1937 in Ancón, Ecuador. He was a forward who played for Ecuador at the World Cup in 1962 and 1970. Spencer also played for Atlético Madrid, Valencia, and Deportivo La Coruña during his career.

He died on November 3, 2006 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Spencer was a member of the Ecuadorian national team and was a part of the team that qualified for the World Cup in 1962. 

Spencer was also a part of the Ecuadorian national team that competed in the Copa América in 1967 and 1969.

Spencer was a member of the Cleveland Force of the American Indoor Soccer Association (AISA) during the 1975-1976 season. Spencer was inducted into the Ecuadorian Football Hall of Fame in 2000. Spencer's death was announced on November 7, 2006.
