The Peru national football team is a representation of pride and passion for the country and its people. Founded in 1927, the Peruvian Football Federation is a member of FIFA’s South American Football Confederation, CONMEBOL.

The team has had a long and celebrated history, winning the Copa America twice, most recently in 1975, and the South American Championship in 1939.

The team has also had many memorable World Cup appearances, including a quarter-final finish in 1970, and is currently ranked 12th in the world according to FIFA.

The current squad boasts some of South America’s best talent, and the Peruvian team aims to bring honor and glory to their country and its fans.

Reyna is a forward who has played for Red Bull Salzburg and Charlotte FC. Reyna was born in Peru, but moved to Austria at an early age. Reyna first joined Alianza Lima as a youth player before joining Red Bull Salzburg in 2013.

Reyna made his debut for the Austrian club in 2011, and has since scored three goals in 22 appearances overall. 

In 2017, Reyna signed with Charlotte FC ahead of the 2018 season where he currently plays. Yordy Reyna is an attacking midfielder who has played for both Peru and Leipzig in his international career.

Yordy Reyna started his professional career with Liefering, before joining SV Grödig on loan in 2014. He then signed for RB Leipzig a year later, helping the club to promotion to the Bundesliga. 

In 2017, Reyna moved to MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps FC where he remained until 2020 when he joined D.C United in the US league system.

After one season with D.C United, Reyna rejoined Vancouver Whitecaps FC for their inaugural season in Major League Soccer's new structure - CONCACAF Champions League. 

Currently, Yordy Reyna plays for Charlotte FC of the USL Championship as they aim to reach MLS again at some point during their five-year history together.

Pedro Aquino is a Peru international and currently plays for América. He started his career with Sporting Cristal, before moving to Europe to play for Eintracht Frankfurt and Valencia CF.

In 2018, he played in the World Cup where Peru reached the quarter-finals. Pedro Aquino has been described as a defensive midfielder who can also contribute offensively; he is known for his accurate passing and tackling skills.

After retiring from football in 2019, Pedro Aquino will focus on pursuing a career in coaching or management Pedro Aquino Sánchez is a Chilean footballer who plays for Mexican club Lobos BUAP on loan from León. 

Pedro has experience playing at both senior and international levels, having represented his country in multiple tournaments.

Having started his career with Sporting Cristal, he joined Monterrey in 2017 before moving to Lobos BUAP on loan earlier this year. 

The midfielder is known for his hardworking style of play and often sets up goals for teammates using precise passing movements. Pedro is expected to return to León once the season finishes later this month.

Reynoso started his senior career with Alianza Lima in 1986. Reynosa joined Sabadell in 1990, and made 14 appearances for the club over two seasons. Reynoso then moved to Universitario where he played until 1994.

Reynoso had a successful spell at Peruvian side Lanus between 1995 and 1997, making 46 appearances and scoring five goals during that time. Reynoso subsequently retired from professional football after helping Lanus win the Copa Libertadores in 1998.

Reynoso later took up coaching duties with Lanus before being appointed manager of Peru in 2010 Reynoso was an assistant manager with Necaxa for four years before joining Juan Aurich in Chile. Reynoso will take over as manager of Puebla next season. 

Reynoso has extensive experience working with young players, having previously been an assistant manager at Cruz Azul Hidalgo and Melgar.

Reynoso is known for his defensive workstyle and ability to develop talent within a team.

Luis Abram is a centre-back who joined Granada in the summer of 2017. He made his professional debut with Sporting Cristal in 2014 and has since played 104 league games for them.

Abram was born in Lima, Peru, but moved to Spain as a child and started playing football there. He had spells at Regatas Lima and Sporting Cristal before joining Granada last season.

Luis Abram started his football career with local side Vélez Sarsfield. He spent time on loan at Granada in the following season, before signing for Cruz Azul. Abram has represented Peru at senior level, qualifying for three Copa América tournaments and reaching the final of one.

In 2019 he won his first trophy with Cruz Azul, winning the Mexican Cup title.

Víctor Yoshimar Yotún was born on April 7th, 1990 in Callao, Peru. He started playing football for Academia Cantolao in 1997 and then moved to Italian side Circolo Sp.

Italiano the following year before arriving at Sporting Cristal in 2007. In his eight seasons with Sporting Cristal he has made 147 appearances scoring 8 goals along the way.

He joined Liga MX side Club León as a free agent this January and has since made six appearances scoring once against Toluca FC so far this season. 

Víctor Yoshimar Yotún is currently contracted to Sporting Cristal until June 2020 but it's possible that he could leave after Copa Libertadores THIS year if they are eliminated from the competition by Independiente Santa Fe or Atlético Nacional who play each other tomorrow night (March 17th).

Yoshimar Yotún is a versatile midfielder who has played for clubs in Peru, Argentina and Chile. He was loaned to Malmö FF of Sweden in 2013 before joining Vasco da Gama the following year. 

In 2017 he signed for Orlando City where he made 32 appearances over two seasons before moving to Cruz Azul in 2019. His international career includes 118 caps for Peru and 7 goals, making him one of the most successful players from his country's history.

Advíncula is a full-back and winger for Boca Juniors. He made his senior debut with Sporting Cristal in 2010, before moving to Tavriya Simferopol the following year.

In 2013, Advíncula joined Boca Juniors where he has since become a key member of their squad. Luis Jan Piers Advíncula Castrillón was born on March 2nd 1990 in Chincha, Peru[4].

The 32-year-old started out playing football at Esther Grande Bentin's academy before joining Juan Aurich aged just 14 years old[5]. After impressing during his time at Sporting Cristal, Advíncula moved to Russian side Tavriya Simferopol – scoring zero goals - in 2012.

Returning to South America three years later, Luis Jan Piers signed for then La Liga club Racing Club de Avellaneda[7], making 17 appearances and scoring one goal over two seasons combined prior to joining Boca Juniors permanently in January 2017.

A product of the Peru national team setup,[9][10], Advíncula has picked up 23 caps and scored one goal thus far with his country including being part of their Copa América squad this summer where they reached the quarter-finals before losing 4–1 on aggregate against Chile.

Renato Tapia is an attacking midfielder who currently plays for Celta. He started his career with Sporting Cristal before joining Esther Grande in 2013.

In 2015, he joined Jong FC Twente and made 39 appearances during two seasons there. Renato Tapia has represented Peru at youth level and was part of the country's U-20 side that reached the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup in 2017.[1] Renato Tapia is a talented footballer who has represented Peru at international level.

He is currently playing for Dutch side Feyenoord, and has made 31 appearances in the club's domestic league so far this season. 

Tapia is known for his pace and dribbling ability on the ball, which makes him a difficult player to defend against. He was loaned out to Spanish side Celta Vigo last season, where he made 67 appearances - scoring two goals - before returning to Feyenoord in 2019.

Tapia will be looking to help Feyenoord win another domestic title this season, as well as competing in Europe's top competitions overall.

Teófilo Cubillas is an attacking midfielder who played for a number of clubs over the course of his career. He started out at Alianza Lima, before moving to Basel in 1973.

Cubillas then spent two years with Porto before joining Fort Lauderdale Strikers in 1977. In 1978 he moved back to Peru and joined Alianza Lima again, where he would stay until 1983.

After leaving Alianza Lima, Cubillas signed for the indoor team Fort Lauderdale Strikers in 1983 and retired from playing six years later aged 43 due to injury. 

Teófilo Cubillas was named Peruvian Player of the Year three times (1974, 1975, 1976) and was part of the Peru squad that finished runner-up at the 1986 World Cup finals despite losing 1–0 against Argentina in the final match Teófilo Cubillas is one of Peru’s most decorated footballers, having won numerous accolades during his illustrious international career.

Teófilo Cubillas began his playing days with local club Alianza Lima before making the switch to Spanish side Atlético Madrid in 1978. 

After a successful stint at Atlético Madrid, Cubillas joined fellow Peruvian outfit Universidad de Chile in 1981 where he would go on to win two Copa América titles and four Chilean Primera División championships. 

In 1988, Cubillas joined Brazilian giants Cruzeiro where he helped the team capture three Campeonato Brasileiro titles and reach the Copa Libertadores final for only the second time in their history.

After leaving Cruzeiro in 1992, Cubilla returned home to play for newly founded club al Lanús before retiring from professional football aged 34 years old following a short spell with Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv FC later that year. 

Since retiring from football, Teófilo has worked as both a manager and player/coach within Peruvian clubs including Sporting Cristal (2004-2005) and Unión Huaraz (2006). 

In October 2018 it was announced that Teofilo had been appointed head coach of UDLC Chimbote after spending one season as an assistant coach at La Liga side Rayo Vallecano earlier that year.

Paolo Guerrero is a striker for Avaií who was born in Lima, Peru. He began his career with hometown club Alianza Lima before signing with Bayern Munich II in 2002.

Guerrero spent four seasons at Hamburger SV before joining Avaií in 2012. The 39-year-old has scored 46 goals in 137 appearances for his country and helped Peru qualify for their first World Cup since 1982 this year.

Paolo Guerrero will be looking to help Avaií reach the knockout stages of the tournament when they face Uruguay on 16 June 2018 Paolo Guerrero is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Corinthians and the Brazil national team.

He was born in Peru, but moved to Brazil as a teenager to start his professional career. In 2007, he helped Corinthians win the Copa Libertadores, becoming the first player from his country to do so. 

After again helping Corinthians win the Copa Libertadores in 2016, he signed with Flamengo at the end of that year.

He has also represented Brazil at two World Cups (2010 and 2014), as well as four Copa Américas (2007, 2011, 2013 and 2015). 

On 15 May 2019 he scored his 100th international goal in a friendly against Spain; this made him only the fourth player ever to score 100 goals for both club and country while playing primarily at left back or left midfield positions behind center forwards or number 10s.

André Carrillo is a Peru-born winger who currently plays for Al Hilal in the Saudi Professional League. He made his professional debut with Alianza Lima in 2009 and spent three seasons there before moving to Saudi Arabia in 2015.

Carrillo has represented Peru at both Under-20 and senior levels, making five appearances between 2009 and 2011. In 2016, he helped Al Hilal win the King's Cup title after scoring two goals in the final against Ittihad Jeddah. 

After impressing during pre-season, Carrillo was named on the bench for Al Hilal's first official match of the season – an away clash against Najran FC – but did not feature as they lost 3–1.

On 14 September 2017, Carrillo scored his first goal for Al Hilal since joining them in November 2016 when he netted their second of a 2–0 victory over Qatari side Lekhwiya SC.

Pizarro is a Peru international and one of the most prolific strikers in club football. Pizarro started his career with Cantolao, before joining Alianza Lima in 1997.

He spent six seasons at the Peruvian side, scoring 174 goals from 71 appearances. In 2001, Pizarro moved to Germany to join Werder Bremen for £6 million (then a world-record transfer fee).

He helped them win two Bundesliga titles and was named German Footballer of the Year twice during his time at the club. After nine years with Bayern Munich, he left for Chelsea in 2007 where he made 21 appearances over two seasons before retiring in 2009 due to injury.

Since retirement, Pizarro has worked as an ambassador for several charities including UNICEF Peru and A Better World Foundation. Senior career includes all competitive matches.

Lapadula is a Italy international striker who played for Juventus and Parma before joining Cagliari in 2012. Lapadula was born in Turin, Italy in 1990 and started his career with Serie A club Juve Stabia before moving to co-owned side Collegno Paradiso.

He made his senior debut with Parma during the 2007–08 season, but moved on loan to Treviso the following year where he scored 11 goals in 36 appearances. 

In July 2012, Lapadula joined Cagliari on a permanent basis after scoring 12 league goals for Parma that season including 5 winners against relegation rivals Catania which helped them avoid dropping from Serie A.

The 32 year old has so far scored 38 goals across all competitions for Cagliari averaging almost one goal per game over the past two seasons helping them narrowly avoid relegation each time despite their inconsistent form at times over that period of time.

However they were relegated from Serie A at the end of 2018/19 following a disastrous campaign which saw them finish bottom of their group with just 8 points accrued from 18 games played.

Nolberto Solano is a former Peruvian footballer who played as a midfielder. Solano started his career with Alianza Lima before joining Sporting Cristal in 1993.

He made 97 appearances for Sporting Cristal before moving to Boca Juniors in 1997. Solano helped Boca Juniors win the 1997 Copa Libertadores. He retired from football in 1998.

Solano is now a football agent. He represented Peru at international level. Solano has three children. Solano is a ambassador for the charity organisation "A Better World". Nolberto Solano is a former Peruvian footballer who played as a midfielder.

He played for Peruvian club Universitario and English side Newcastle United. He also represented Peru at international level. 

After retiring from football, Solano started a coaching career with Internacional de Toronto. He was appointed manager of Peru Olympic in 2016.

Solano is the son of former Peruvian international player, Alberto Solano. He was born on October 16, 1978. Solano is married and has two children. He is currently manager of Peru Olympic.

Santiago Ormeño is a Mexican forward who currently plays for Juárez on loan from Guadalajara. He made his professional debut with América in 2011 and spent three seasons with the club before joining Guadalajara in 2015.

Ormeño has represented Mexico at Under-17, Under-20, and Under-23 levels. He is known for his pace and dribbling ability, and is a regular for the Mexico national team. Ormeño is a strong candidate for the Golden Boot at the 2017 Confederations Cup.

He has also been linked with a move to Europe in the future. Santiago Ormeño is married to Ivonne Zayas and the couple have two children. 

He is a devout Christian and regularly attends church. Ormeño is a popular figure among the Juárez fans and is considered to be one of the club's most important players.
