Santos Laguna is a Mexican professional football club that has been a part of Liga MX since 1996. Founded in 1988, the club has grown to become one of the most successful teams in the Mexican league and a force to be reckoned with in CONCACAF.

Located in the urban area of La Comarca Lagunera in northern Mexico, Santos Laguna has won six league titles and three CONCACAF Champions League titles.

The team is renowned for its passionate and loyal fanbase and has become a symbol of pride for the La Comarca Lagunera region.

Cecilio Domínguez is a Paraguayan winger who joined Santos Laguna in 2017. He made his senior debut with Sol de América in 2012, and has since appeared for several Paraguayan clubs including Cerro Porteño, Olimpia Asunción and Guaraní Club.

Domínguez was part of the Paraguay national team that finished runners-up at the 2015 Copa America Centenario tournament.[3] 

In 2016 he signed for Mexican side Pumas UNAM where he helped them reach the semi-finals of the Liga MX Clausura playoffs before leaving to join Santos Laguna two years later.

Cecilio Domínguez is known as an accurate finisher and dangerous dribbler on the wing – attributes which have seen him score goals both domestically and internationally.[1] Outside of football, Cecilio Andrés Domínquez Ruiz is also a student at Universidad Católica del Paraná.

Araujo started his career at Cruz Azul, where he played 49 games in total. He joined Santos Laguna on loan for the 2014 season and made 106 appearances for them before moving to Celta.

Araujo has represented Mexico at U20 level and was part of their team that won the 2011 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship. 

In 2018, he helped Celta win La Liga, Copa del Rey and Europa League trophies as they finished as Champions of Europe for the first time in their history.

Néstor Araujo is a centre-back who can also play at right back or defensive midfield if needed and is known for his accurate cross balls from the backline Néstor Araujo is a Mexican footballer who currently plays for America in the Liga MX. He has also played for Mexico U20 and Mexico U23 teams.

Néstor was born on July 10, 1992 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. In 2011 Néstor made his debut with the Mexico national team and went on to play 64 games between then and now including three.

Copa América appearances and two Olympic Games tournaments in 2012 London and Rio de Janeiro respectively.

His most recent international goal came against El Salvador during qualifying for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup which they eventually won.

Oribe Peralta is a Mexican footballer who has played for Santos Laguna, Monterrey and América. He scored 82 goals in 182 appearances for América since 2014.

Oribe Peralta made his international debut for Mexico in 2003 and has gone on to win 57 caps, scoring six goals. In 2008, he joined Chiapas on loan and helped them reach the 2009 CONCACAF Champions League Final where they were defeated by Chelsea 2–1 after extra time.

Oribe was part of the Santos Laguna team that won the Apertura title in 2013 before signing with América ahead of the Clausura tournament; however, he failed to score during his first season with Los Azulcremas.

He was named Liga MX Forward of The Year in 2018 after leading all scorers in La Liga with 17 league goals.
On 3 October 2018, it was announced that Oribe had signed a new three-year contract extension with America until 2023.

Carlos Darwin Quintero Villalba was born on September 19, 1987 in Tumaco, Colombia. The attacking midfielder has played for clubs such as Deportes Tolima and América de Cali since 2004.

He made his professional debut with the latter club in 2007 and has gone on to make over 250 appearances for them over the years. In 2018, Quintero signed for Minnesota United of Major League Soccer (MLS).

The35-year-old is a versatile player who can play anywhere across midfield but is most effective when running at defences from behind or playing off strikers.

Fernando Gorriarán is a Uruguayan midfielder currently playing for UANL. Fernando Gorriarán started his career with River Plate Montevideo. He made 86 appearances for the club before joining UANL in 2017.

Fernando Gorriarán is primarily a defensive midfielder, but can also be deployed as a central forward or full back when required. Fernando Gorriarán has been capped by Uruguay at youth level and played on their Under-20 World Cup winning team in 2013.

Fernando Gorriarán was part of River Plate's Copa Libertadoreswinning side in 2016 and is currently captain of UANL's reserves team Fernando Gorriarán is a Spanish-born Uruguayan footballer who currently plays for Brazilian club Santos Laguna.

Torres was born on January 11th, 1997 in San Lorenzo, Ecuador. He is a defender and currently plays for Santos Laguna. Torres has represented Ecuador at youth levels and has made one senior international appearance to date.

Torres is 1.87 meters tall and has shown great potential both as a defensive player and creative midfielder throughout his career so far Torres is a young and promising forward who has been playing for LDU Portoviejo since 2013.

He has had success in the Ecuadorian league, most notably with Barcelona SC on loan from Santos Laguna this season. Torres is known for his speed, dribbling ability, and shooting power; he was recently named Ecuadorean U-20 captain.

Carlos Acevedo is a goalkeeper for Santos Laguna. He has played professionally since 2016 and was part of the Mexico national team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Carlos Acevedo was born in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico on 19 April 1996. He began his career with Club América's youth system in 2013 before joining Santos Laguna two years later as their second-choice keeper behind Edson Álvarez.

In March of this year he made his Liga MX debut against Cruz Azul and kept a clean sheet in what would be his only appearance for the club that season. 

In December 2017, Carlos Acevedo got his chance to start for Santos Laguna when Edson Álvarez was sent off against Pachuca; he responded by keeping a clean sheet in an eventual 1-0 victory.

Carlos Acevedo represented Mexico at the 2018 FIFA World Cup where they reached the quarterfinals but were eliminated after drawing 2-2 with Belgium. 

Santos Laguna announced on 8 May 2019 that Acevedo had signed a new contract until 2022 which will keep him at Los Colchoneros until 2025.

Dória began his career with Botafogo in 2009. Dória moved to Santos Laguna in 2014 and has since made over 100 appearances for the club. Matheus is a centre-back and is captain of Santos Laguna.

Dória was born in Brazil, but has played international football for Portugal at youth level. 

In March 2017, he captained Santos to victory in the Copa Libertadores final against Independiente Santa Fe Dória spent four seasons with Botafogo, helping them win the club's fourth league title in 2012.

He then moved to Marseille where he made 26 appearances over two seasons before joining São Paulo on a loan spell in 2015. 

Dória joined Santos Laguna permanently that year and has since played 135 games for them across all competitions - including 11 caps for Brazil at senior level. In 2018, he signed for Yeni Malatyaspor on loan until the end of the season.

Dória is an attacking midfielder who is known for his speed and crossing ability as well as his creativity on the ball; he was part of Brazil's U20 team which won gold at the 2013 FIFA World Youth Championship.

Jared Borgetti is a Mexican international striker who has played for Atlas, Santos Laguna and Sinaloa. He is most famous for his time at Bolton Wanderers where he scored 19 goals in two seasons.

Following his release from Bolton, Borgetti joined Pachuca but only stayed there for one season before moving to Mexico City side Toluca in 2006. 

At the age of 35, Borgetti announced his retirement from football after failing to regain his form with Toluca following an injury-hit season in 2009/10.

In total, Jared Borgetti made 295 appearances in La Liga, Premier League and Football League Championship combined as well as scoring 188 goals during a 17-year professional career Borgetti was born in the United States but played for Mexican club Al-Ittihad. 

Borgetti had a successful international career with Mexico, playing in 89 matches and scoring 46 goals.

Borgetti is most famous for his goal against Ecuador at the 2007 Copa America which helped Mexico to reach the semifinals where they lost to Brazil. After retiring from football, Borgettti has started working as an analyst with Fox Sports Deportes and ESPN Brasil respectively.

Javier Orozco is a Mexican footballer who plays as a forward for Santos Laguna. Orozco began his career with Cruz Azul in 2005, before moving to Santos Laguna two years later.

He has made 126 appearances for Cruz Azul and 85 for Santos Laguna overall. Orozco was part of the Mexico national team at the 2013 Confederations Cup, where they reached the semi-finals.

Carlos Izquierdoz is a 34-year-old centre back who currently plays for Sporting Gijón in the Spanish La Liga. Carlos Izquierdoz began his career at Racing Club de Avellaneda before moving to Santos Laguna in 2013.

Ayrton Preciado is a forward who currently plays for Emelec in Ecuador. He has previously played for Atlético Madrid and Santos Laguna in Spain. Preciado is Ecuador's all-time leading goalscorer and was named the Best Young Player at the 2017 Copa America.

Preciado has represented his country at various youth levels, including the U20 and U23 squads. Preciado made his debut for Atlético Madrid in the 2014–15 season.

Christian Benítez was born on 1 May 1986 in Quito, Ecuador. He started his career with Universidad Católica in Ecuador before moving to America in 2012.

He made his debut for América in a Copa Libertadores match against Colo-Colo in 2012. He was part of the Ecuadorian national team at the 2013 Copa America.

He died in a car accident on 29 July 2013 in Doha, Qatar. Christian Benítez was a striker and is best remembered for his time with America. He leaves behind his wife and two young children.

Christian Benítez started his professional career at Colombian side El Nacional in 1997. He moved to Mexican side Santos Laguna in 2004 and helped them win the Liga MX title in 2007.

Oswaldo Sánchez is a Mexican goalkeeper who played for Atlas, América and Guadalajara. He was part of the Atlas team that won the 1993-94 Mexican First Division.

Sánchez played 276 games for Guadalajara and kept 111 clean sheets. Sánchez was part of the Mexico national team that won the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 1996. He signed for Santos Laguna in 2006 and stayed with the club until his retirement in 2014.

Oswaldo Sánchez was named goalkeeper of the year in Mexico in 2006 and 2012. He is currently the goalkeeping coach of Santos Laguna.

Sánchez was born on March 2nd, 1975 in the Mexican state of Veracruz. Sánchez started playing football at the age of six for his local club, Cruz Azul. Sánchez made his professional debut with Santos Laguna in 1992.

Julio Furch was born on July 29, 1989 in Winifreda, Argentina. Furch is a forward and currently plays for Atlas. Furch started his youth career with River Plate.
