The Windsor Spitfires are an iconic part of the local hockey scene in Windsor, Ontario. Established in 1971, the team joined the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 1975 and has been a proud member of the league ever since.

The Spitfires have a proud and storied history, winning multiple division and conference titles throughout their tenure in the OHL. Off the ice, the Spitfires are committed to making a positive difference in the local community, with their off-ice initiatives and youth hockey programs.

Tim Gleason is a defenseman for the Carolina Hurricanes. He was drafted by the Boston Bruins in 2002, but never played with them due to injury. He then signed with the Hurricanes and has been there since 2007-08 season.

In 2013 he won his first Stanley Cup championship with the Hurricanes over Chicago Blackhawks in seven games. Tim Gleason is married and has two children, one of which plays hockey as well. 

He currently ranks 4th all time on defense for Carolina hurricanes in terms of points (181) He also set an NHL record for most assists by a defenseman during the regular season (50).

Gleason's father Mike played professional ice hockey from 1974 until 1992 including stints in North America, Europe, Japan & Switzerland and was inducted into both the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame and International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame as player/coach respectively.

Adam Henrique is a forward for the New Jersey Devils. He was drafted in 2009 by the Anaheim Ducks, but never played with them due to contract disputes. 

Henrique then signed with the Devils as a free agent in 2013 and has since become one of their most consistent players.

He has scored over 100 points three times in his career and was an important part of Team Canada's gold medal run at the World Championships last year. Adam Henrique is an excellent skater who can both score and create chances for others on the ice, making him a valuable asset to any team he plays for.

Adam Henrique is a left-handed shooter who played for the Anaheim Ducks and New Jersey Devils in the NHL. Adam Henrique was drafted by the Devils in 2008 and has since appeared in over 200 games with them. 

Adam Henrique has also represented Canada at various international tournaments including the World Championships and Olympic Games.

In 2010, he signed with HC Kladno of the Czech Extraliga where he finished as runner-up to the Jaromir Jagr Trophy as league MVP. 

The 26-year-old forward returned to North America this season signing with NJDASK Zilina of Slovak Extraliga, scoring 10 goals and 17 assists in 27 games so far this season; putting him 2nd on the team behind only Patrik Elias.

Ed Jovanovski was drafted with the first overall pick in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers. Jovanovski has played for Vancouver Canucks, Phoenix Coyotes and now with the Florida Panthers.

He is a two time All Star and helped lead Canada to gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Jovanovski has logged over 2,000 minutes in his NHL career thus far and still plays an important role on defence for the Florida Panther's team today Jovanovski played for the Florida Panthers from 1994 to 2014, scoring over 1400 points in his career.

Jovanovski was a key member of Canada's gold medal-winning team at the 2005 World Championships and also represented his nation at three other ice hockey world championships - 2008, 2004 and 2002. 

He played for Team Canada in the 2006 Winter Olympics where he helped Canada win their first-ever Olympic gold medal. 

Jovanovski retired from professional ice hockey following the conclusion of the 2014–15 season but remains involved with various charitable causes across North America including visits to sick children in hospitals as part of "Operation Santa".

Jason Spezza is a veteran centre who has played in the NHL for over 18 years. 

He was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the first round of the 2000 NHL Draft and has since played for Toronto, Dallas, Pittsburgh and finally Toronto again this season.

Jason Spezza is well known for his ability to score goals and he has scored over 500 career goals which makes him one of the most prolific goal-scorers in league history. 

In addition to scoring goals, Jason Spezza also plays an important role on his teams as he is often relied upon to provide leadership and guidance to younger players on the roster.

He will be 39 years old at the end of this season which means that he may be considering retirement but if he does decide to continue playing then there are no doubts about his status as one of the greatest centres in NHL history.

Slater Koekkoek is a 28-year-old defenceman who played for the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2017. Slater was born and raised in North Dundas, Ontario, Canada.

He has played hockey since he was a child and currently plays defence for the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL. Slater's playing style is very aggressive and he often jumps into fights or hits hard to create turnovers on the ice.

He has been compared to former NHL player Jay Bouwmeester because of his physical playstyle and ability to block shots consistently from opposing players. 

Despite being relatively unknown, Slater has already made an important impact on both his team and league by standing up for himself when needed and putting forth consistent effort each game Slater Koekkoek is a defenseman for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

He was drafted 10th overall in the 2012 NHL Draft by the Edmonton Oilers, but he has spent most of his career with the Lightning. 

Slater Koekkoek is known for his speed and agility on defense. He has also shown flashes of offensive skill, which have led to him being used as both a powerplay and penalty kill defender over his career. 

Slater Koekkoek is entering into the final year of his contract with Tampa Bay this season, and it will be interesting to see what kind of impact he can have on their playoff run this year.

Cal O'Reilly was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on September 30th 1986. He began his hockey career playing for the Plymouth Whalers of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).

Before moving onto play collegiate hockey at Boston University where he won a national Championship in 2008-09 as well as being named to the NCAA Tournament All-Tournament Team that year.

O'Reilly then signed with Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) and played there until 2013 when he was traded to Calgary Flames along with fellow Flame TJ Brodie in exchange for Karri Ramo and Ladislav Smid. 

While with Calgary, O'Reilly helped them win two Stanley Cup Championships in 2011 and 2012 while becoming an NHL regular during that time period having scored over 50 points three times including finishing second behind Steven Stamkos for most goals by a Canadian player in one season.

In July 2015, after five seasons split between Calgary and Florida Panthers, Cal opted out of his contract with the Panthers opting instead to return home to play for Toronto Maple Leafs who had just acquired him from San Jose Sharks via free agency.

After struggling early on in 2017-18 due to off ice issues which eventually led to him serving a 10 game suspension from team management, Cal bounced back strongly this past season recording 43 points (17 goals & 26 assists) while helping lead Toronto into their first ever playoff berth since 2004.

Paul Lawless is a left wing player who was born in Scarborough, Ontario. He began his career with the Boston Bruins, but later played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks, and Montreal Canadiens.

He won the Stanley Cup with the Canucks in 1994. He retired in 2006. He is currently a hockey commentator for TSN. He is married and has two children. Paul Lawless is a popular figure in the hockey community and is often quoted by other players and journalists.

He is a passionate hockey fan and often attends games in person. Paul Lawless is an excellent player who is known for his speed, creativity, and scoring ability. 

Paul Lawless is a former NHL player who spent his entire career playing for the Hartford Whalers. He was drafted by the Whalers in the 14th round of the 1982 NHL Draft.

He played for the Whalers from 1983 to 1999. He was part of the team that won the Calder Cup in 1987. He also played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks, and Toronto Maple Leafs. 

He retired from playing in 1999. He is currently the Director of Player Development for the Graz EC in Austria. He has also been a coach and analyst for the Austrian national team.

Paul MacDermid is a retired professional ice hockey right winger who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 17 seasons. MacDermid was drafted in the fourth round, 87th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft.

He played for the Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers, and Buffalo Sabres before retiring in 1999. MacDermid was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003. He is currently an analyst for NHL Network. MacDermid and his wife, Julie, have two children.

MacDermid was born in Chesley, Ontario, in 1963. He played major junior hockey for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and was drafted by the Bruins in the fourth round of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. MacDermid made his NHL debut with the Bruins in 1983 and played for them until 1999.

He won the Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 1993. MacDermid signed with the Philadelphia Flyers as a free agent in 2000 and won the Stanley Cup with them in 2001. He signed with the Buffalo Sabres in 2002 and retired in 1999.

Nathan Staios is a 21-year-old American defender who played for Atlanta United FC in the MLS. He is 5'10" and weighs 179 pounds. Staios was born in Atlanta, Georgia and played youth soccer for the Atlanta Silverbacks.

He then attended Georgia Tech, where he played for the Yellow Jackets' soccer team. In February 2019, Staios joined Atlanta United FC after signing a contract. 

He made his professional debut in the team's first game of the season, a 3-1 victory over Minnesota United FC.

Staios has also represented the United States national team at youth level. He made his debut for the senior team in a 2-1 victory over Guatemala in March 2019. 

Staios is a versatile defender who can play at left back, center back, or left midfield. He is known for his strong tackling and tactical awareness.

Staios is expected to be a key part of Atlanta United's defense in the future. He is a strong individual player who is also able to contribute offensively. Staios is one of the youngest players in the MLS and is currently the club's second- youngest defender. 

He is already a valuable member of the team and is expected to become even more important in the future.

Ryan Ellis is a defenseman for the Nashville Predators. Ellis was originally drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Ellis has played for the Predators since the 2015-16 season. Ellis has recorded 231 points (36 goals, 177 assists) in 762 career NHL games. Ellis has won the Norris Trophy, awarded to the NHL's best defenseman, twice (2013, 2017).

Ellis is a two-time Olympian, having represented Canada at the 2010 and 2014 Olympic Games. Ellis is married to Canadian ice skater Meaghan French. Ellis has a son, Kaleb, and a daughter, Harper. Ellis is a member of the Canadian Men's National Team.

Peter Sarno is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre. He was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second round, 45th overall, of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

He has also played for the Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning, and the New York Rangers. Sarno has won three Stanley Cups with the Lightning, in 2004, 2006, and 2010.

He has also competed in the 2004 World Championships, the 2006 World Cup of Hockey, and the 2010 Winter Olympics. In 2013, he was awarded the King Clancy Memorial Trophy, which is given to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of leadership, courage, and dedication to the sport of ice hockey.

Sarno is the son of Canadian hockey legend Peter Sarno. He was born with a birth defect which left him with a partially paralyzed left arm. Despite this, he has continued to play professional hockey.

Alexander Khokhlachev was born in Moscow, Russia in September 1993. Khokhlachev is a centre who was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Khokhlachev made his NHL debut with the Bruins in the 2015-16 season. Khokhlachev has also spent time with the Russian National Team, appearing in at least one international tournament each year since 2013.

Dave Roche is a left wing player who has played for the Ottawa Senators, Buffalo Sabres, and Colorado Avalanche in the NHL. Roche was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the first round, ninth overall, in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.

Wyatt Johnston is a 19-year-old Canadian basketball player who currently plays for the Mississauga Steelheads of the American International Basketball League.

Johnston underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee on May 12 and is expected to miss six to eight weeks. Johnston was the fourth overall selection in the 2016 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks.

Will Cuylle is a 21-year-old forward from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the 4th round, 96th overall, in the 2018 NHL Draft.

He played for the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) during the 2018-19 season. He was invited to participate in the 2018 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, where he played for the Canada U18 team.

He won a gold medal with Canada U18 at the 2018 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. He was named to the Canada's 2019 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship team. He was selected to the 2019 IIHF World Championship roster.

Logan Brown was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. Brown played junior hockey in the United States with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League.

Brown was selected in the first round, sixth overall, by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Brown made his NHL debut with the Red Wings in the 2016–17 season.

Brown signed with the Ottawa Senators as a free agent in the summer of 2018. Brown was traded to the Anaheim Ducks in the 2019 NHL Trade Deadline. Brown has played in 53 games with the Ducks and has scored five goals and ten points.

Ernie Godden is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played centre for the St. Louis Blues and the Hartford Whalers in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Godden played junior hockey for the St. Catharines Saints and the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He was drafted by the Blues in the second round, 41st overall, of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft.

Claude Loiselle is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Loiselle was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the third round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft.

Kerby Rychel is a left wing who was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the third round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. 

Rychel played college hockey at the University of North Dakota, where he was a two-time Hobey Baker Award finalist.

Weber is a left-handed shot and has played in over 350 games in the NHL. Weber is a hard-working player who is known for his grit and determination.

Ruben Rafkin is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is currently playing for Karpat of the SM-liiga. Rafkin was born in 2002 in Turku, Finland.

Rafkin was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the 3rd round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Rafkin played for the JYP Jyväskylä and KalPa junior teams before joining Karpat in the 2016-17 season.

Rafkin has represented Finland at the World Junior Championships in 2017 and 2018. Rafkin was named to the Finland U20 team for the 2017 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Rafkin has also played for Team Finland at the 2018 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.

Rafkin has also won two medals at the World U18 Championships with a silver in 2016 and a gold in 2017. Rafkin was named to the SM-liiga All-Star team in 2018.

Trevor Murphy played for Sibir Novosibirsk of the KHL in the 2015-16 season. Murphy then moved to the Kunlun Red Star of the Chinese Elite League for the 2016-17 season. 

Murphy signed with Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL for the 2017-18 season. Murphy played in 47 games for Ak Bars Kazan in the 2017-18 season.

Murphy signed with the NHL's Arizona Coyotes as a free agent in the 2018-19 season. Murphy made his NHL debut with the Coyotes on October 6, 2018. 

Trevor Murphy was waived by the Coyotes on October 12, 2018. Murphy signed with the KHL's Ak Bars Kazan for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.

Blair Barnes was born in Windsor, Ontario in 1960. Blair Barnes began his acting career in the early 1980s, appearing in productions such as "Crazy on the Outside" and "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen".

Barnes continued to appear in films and television throughout the 1990s and 2000s, most notably in roles in "The West Wing" and "ER". Blair Barnes died on June 29, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois after a long battle with cancer.

Barnes was married to actress Stephanie March from 1985 until their divorce in 2004. Barnes was survived by his two children from his first marriage, Jamie and Joss. Blair Barnes was cremated and his ashes scattered in Hawaii.

Blair Barnes played for the Los Angeles Kings from 1979 to 1984. He had a brief NHL career with the Edmonton Oilers, playing 81 games and scoring 10 goals. Blair Barnes was a right wing who was known for his speed and puck-handling.

Barnes was born in Toronto, but grew up in the United States. After playing college hockey at the University of Michigan, Barnes was drafted by the Kings. In 1980, Barnes made his NHL debut with the Kings. He played 81 games over four seasons with the team.

In 1984, Barnes was traded to the Oilers. He played 34 games with the team, scoring one goal. Barnes is currently a hockey coach in the United States. Blair Barnes retired from hockey in 1984.

Cam Janssen has spent his entire NHL career with the Devils. Janssen is a very dangerous player with the puck on his stick. Janssen is a strong skater with good puck control.

Janssen has two Stanley Cup rings with the Devils. Janssen is a solid penalty killer. Janssen is a restricted free agent this offseason. Janssen is expected to be a free agent again in the summer of 2019.

Janssen is a candidate for the Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL's most valuable player. Janssen is a very popular player with the fans in New Jersey. Cam Janssen was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 2002 NHL Draft.

He played for the St. Louis Blues and the Nottingham Panthers before retiring in 2016. Cam Janssen was a prolific goal scorer throughout his career, accumulating over 400 goals and 1,000 points in the NHL. Cam Janssen was a key member of the Devils' 2014 Stanley Cup victory.

Cam Janssen is a two-time All-Star and was named to the NHL's All-Rookie Team in 2003. Cam Janssen is the son of former NHL player Jacques Janssen. Janssen is currently an assistant coach with the Devils' AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Devils. Cam Janssen is married and has two children.

Cam Janssen is a member of the Canadian Olympic team that will compete in PyeongChang in 2018.

39. Gerry Leroux

Gerry Leroux

Leroux was born in 1958 in St. Bernardin, Ontario, Canada. He is 5'6" and 165 pounds. Leroux played left wing for the Montreal Canadiens for most of his career.

Leroux was a three-time All-Star and was the recipient of the Hart Memorial Trophy in 1993. Leroux retired in 2000. He is now a hockey commentator for TV and radio.

Leroux is married and has two children. Leroux is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. He is currently a commentator for TV and radio. Gerry Leroux was a versatile player who was able to play both defense and forward.

Leroux played for six different teams in his playing career and was a part of the Indianapolis Racers, IHL Muskegon Mohawks, Flint Generals, and New York Rangers. Leroux was never drafted into the NHL, but he did play in the league for six seasons.

Leroux is best known for his time with the New York Rangers where he scored over 100 points in three different seasons. Leroux retired from the NHL in 1984 and now works as a scout for the Detroit Red Wings. Leroux is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and was inducted in 2003.

The Windsor Spitfires are one of the most successful teams in the history of hockey, having won two Memorial Cup championships and five OHL championships.
