The Providence Bruins are a professional ice hockey team that serves as the primary development team to the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, the team competes in the American Hockey League and plays their home games at the Amica Mutual Pavilion.

With a long history of success, the Providence Bruins have produced countless NHL stars and have become a beloved team among hockey fans in the Providence area.

David Pastrňák was born on May 25th, 1996 in Havířov, Czech Republic. 

At just 6'1", David is one of the smallest players in the NHL and his size has often been a disadvantage against bigger opposition.

Despite this, David has played for HC Kladno (junior), Boston Bruins (rookie), Worcester Sharks (AHL) and Providence Bruins (ECHL). 

In 2016-17 he led all AHL rookies with 36 goals and 76 points in 78 games as Worcester Sharks advanced to the Calder Cup Final where they lost to Toronto Marlies 4-3.

The following season he posted 24 goals and 56 points in 73 games as Providence was again eliminated from playoff contention late in the season by Hartford Wolf Pack 3-2.

In overtime of Game 7 of their first-round series which also went into overtime after regulation time had expired resulting David Pastrňák was drafted 25th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2014 NHL Draft.

David Pastrňák has played for the Czech Republic at both junior and senior levels, including a gold medal victory at the World Junior Championships in 2013. David Pastrňák is primarily a right-wing, but he can also play center or left-wing if needed. 

David Pastrňák scored his first professional goal on October 25th, 2014 against Montreal Canadiens goaltender Dustin Tokarski. 

Injuries have been an issue for David Pastrňák throughout his career; however, he has bounced back each time to play again later that season or even further down the line.

It is expected that David Pastrnaek will be playing with the Bruins full-time starting next season after impressing during his rookie campaign last year.

Jack Studnicka is a young, talented player who has been playing in the AHL for the Providence Bruins this season. He was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the second round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft and made his professional debut with their affiliate team earlier this year.

Jack is a big, physical forward who can score goals and create havoc on both offense and defense. His development will be key to whichever team selects him next season - he could potentially fill a need on either side of the ice if developed correctly. 

Keep an eye out for Jack Studnicka as he looks to make an impact at higher levels of hockey soon. Jack Studnicka is a right-shooting centre who was drafted 53rd overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. 

He played college hockey at Northeastern University, where he led his team in scoring as a senior with 31 goals and 52 assists for 83 points in 54 games. In 2018–19, Studnicka made his professional debut with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL).

On July 12, 2019, he signed an entry-level contract with the Bruins. Studnicka has represented Canada internationally at various age levels from under-18 to under-20 level and captained Team WHL at the World Junior Championships in December 2018 where they finished fourth after losing to Sweden in overtime of their semifinal game.

Krug was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the first round (24th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Krug made his NHL debut with the Bruins during the 2011-12 season and has since played in over 200 regular season games, scoring 31 goals and 68 points.

In 2016, he signed a six-year contract extension with Boston worth $27 million. Krug is known for his aggressive play on ice and strong offensive output from defensemen across all leagues around the world; including playoffs where he has been key to several championship teams' success.

He was named to Team USA's 2017 World Cup roster but did not participate due to an injury suffered earlier in the year while playing for Boston in a game against Montreal Canadiens Torey Krug is a defenseman for the Boston Bruins. 

He was drafted by the Blues in 2012 but has spent most of his career with the Bruins.

Krug was born in Newton, Massachusetts and raised in nearby Concord. He played college hockey at Dartmouth College before turning pro with St Louis Blues in 2011–12 season. 

After struggling to make an impact during his first two years as a professional, he turned things around this past year and became one of Boston's key players.

Krug has represented United States at various junior levels, winning gold medals at both the World Junior Championships (2011) and IIHF World Championship (2013). 

In addition to playing defense, Torey can also play left wing if needed- something that proved useful when injuries hit Boston's lineup late last season.

Matt Grzelcyk is a defenseman for the Boston Bruins. He played college hockey at Northeastern University and was drafted by the Bruins in the third round of the 2012 NHL Draft.

In 2018-19, Grzelcyk had a career year with the Bruins, scoring 11 goals and 33 assists for 44 points in 82 games. Grzelcyk has been part of Team USA's World Juniors program multiple times, most notably during his freshman year in which he helped lead Team USA to gold medal victory over Canada.

Urho Vaakanainen is a Finnish defenceman who was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the first round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Vaakanainen has spent most of his career with HPK in Finland, where he has recorded 96 points (27 goals and 63 assists) over 176 games.

In November 2018, Vaakanainen signed an entry-level contract with the Bruins. Vaakanainen will compete for playing time on Boston's blueline this season, as well as representing Finland at both the World Championships and Olympics in 2019. 

Urho Vaakanainen is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the Boston Bruins in the National Hockey League (NHL).

He was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the first round, 18th overall, of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Vaakanainen played his junior career with JYP Jyväskylä before being traded to SaiPa midway through his second season there. 

In 36 games with SaiPa during the 2016–17 SHL season, he registered 16 goals and 34 assists for 50 points, helping them clinch their fourth championship in six seasons.

Vaakanainen made his North American debut with Boston at age 19 during the 2017–18 season and recorded one goal and two assists over 11 games played before suffering a knee injury that ended his campaign prematurely; he has since resumed full training camp preparations.

Austin Czarnik is a talented center for the Boston Bruins. He was drafted by the Bruins in the third round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Austin has played in 233 games with Boston, scoring 38 goals and adding 73 assists for 119 points.

In 2016-17 he had 25 goals and 36 assists for 61 points in 82 games played, helping lead Boston to their first Stanley Cup since 1972. Austin is married to Ashley Kucharski and they have two children - Aiden (born November 14th, 2013) and Addison (born December 1st, 2015).

The following year he improved upon those numbers, finishing third onBostoninpoints(46)and helping lead them back to the Stanley Cup Finals where they were once again defeated by Pittsburgh Penguins. 

In 2018-19, Austin had a breakout season playing alongside Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand as one of the top line torpedo artists in hockey; tallying 31 goals and 55 assists for 88 points which placed him second overall among forwards behind only Patrick Kane.

Seth Griffith has spent his entire professional career in the NHL with the Boston Bruins. He was drafted by the Bruins in 2010 and made his debut that season.

Griffith quickly became a fan favourite, scoring 50 goals and 150 points over four seasons with Boston before being traded to Nashville in 2015. 

Injuries limited him to just 47 games over two seasons with Nashville but he bounced back nicely after signing with Detroit for the 2017-18 campaign.

The Red Wings are currently without a contract for next season but expect him to be involved in negotiations as he is one of Detroit's top players. 

Seth Griffith was drafted by the Boston Bruins in 2012. Seth played for the Bakersfield Condors of the AHL before joining their NHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins in 2016.

Seth made his debut with Boston during the 2017–2018 season and has since remained with them through to present day. Seth is known for being a hard working player who will go to great lengths to win games or put points on the scoreboard for his team-mates. 

At just 23 years old, there's plenty of potential still left in Griffith's tank and he looks like he could be a long term fixture in either league he plays in - AHL or NHL.

Jack Ahcan is a 25-year-old American football player who played defensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League (NFL). Ahcan was born and raised in Savage, Minnesota.

Colby Cave was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on December 26, 1994. He was a goaltender for the Providence Bruins of the AHL in 2015-16. On April 11, 2020, Cave died after a two-year battle with leukemia.

His death was widely mourned by hockey fans and fellow players across the country. 

A moment of silence was held in his honour prior to the Bruins game against the Hartford Wolf Pack on April 13th. In the weeks and months following his death, Cave's family set up the Colby Cave Foundation to help support leukemia research.

The Colby Cave Memorial Hockey Game was held in his honour on September 17th, 2020 at the York University Ice Centre. 

The game was organized in part by his former Bruins teammate, Charlie McAvoy. The Colby Cave Foundation continues to work to improve the quality of life for people with leukemia.

Grahame played for the Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Detroit Red Wings before landing with the Lake Erie Monsters in 2011. Grahame has won two Stanley Cups with the Detroit Red Wings in 2008 and 2009.

Ferraro retired from the NHL in 2009. In his playing career, Ferraro totaled 594 points (278 goals and 360 assists). He currently works as a broadcaster for the Rangers and the Penguins. 

Ferraro was born on October 30, 1974, in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He is married to his wife, Shannon, and they have two children. Ferraro is a graduate of the University of North Dakota.
