Boruc is a goalkeeper who has played for clubs in Poland and England. Boruc joined English club Southampton in 2006, where he made over 200 appearances until his departure to Legia Warsaw in 2021.

He was part of the Polish team that reached the semi-finals of Euro 2012, before being eliminated by eventual champions Spain. Boruc won silver medals with Poland at both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, as well as bronze medals at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups qualifiers.

In October 2018, it was announced that Boruc had been selected for Poland's squad for their upcoming World Cup campaign.

He made his international debut on 1 November 2018 in a 2–1 win against Montenegro Artur Boruc was born on October 5, 1989 in Wroclaw, Poland. Artur started playing football when he was just six years old and progressed through the ranks at local side Pogoń Szczecin.

He made his professional debut for Widzew Łódź in 2005 and went on to make over 150 appearances for the club before joining Legia Warsaw in 2009.

Where he spent another three seasons until retiring from international football after UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying ended with victory against Iceland.
