Robert Lewandowski is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Spanish club Barcelona. He began his career with Delta Warsaw, before joining Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in 2005.

In 2010, he signed for Bayern Munich and helped the team clinch the Bundesliga title that season. After one year at Madrid-based Real Madrid, Lewandowski rejoined Bayern Munich on a long-term deal in 2013.

He has won three consecutive La Liga titles with Barcelona (2014–16), as well as two Champions League crowns (2015 and 2017). 

 Having scored over 250 goals in all competitions during his career, Lewandowski is considered to be one of the best strikers of his generation, and was named by Pelé as one of the 100 greatest living footballers in 2016.

On 6 March 2019, he announced his retirement from professional football due to an injury sustained earlier that month against Atlético Madrid.

Szczęsny is a Polish goalkeeper who has been playing for Juventus since 2017. Szczęsny made his debut for Poland in 2016 and played at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Szczęsny is 1.96 meters tall and plays as a goalkeeper for Juventus in Italy's Serie A. Szczęsny was born on 18 April 1990 in Warsaw, Poland and began his career with Agrykola Warsaw before moving to Juventus in 2017.

As of March 2019, he has kept 73 clean sheets in 222 appearances for Juve across all competitions. Szczęsny was named the best goalkeeper at the 2018-19 Coppa Italia.

Piotr Zieliński is a Polish midfielder who currently plays for Napoli. He started his career with Orzeł Ząbkowice Śląskie and played for them until 2011.

In the meantime, he spent two seasons at Zagłębie Lubin before joining Napoli in 2017. Although primarily an attacking midfielder, Piotr has also been used as a central defender and even as a goalkeeper on occasions - something which evidently impressed Maurizio Sarri when he signed him up.

His combative style of play and accurate passing have seen him become one of the most consistent players in Serie A over recent years, securing multiple caps for Poland along the way too. 

Piotr Zieliński is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Serie A club Napoli. Piotr Zielinski made his debut for Poland in 2009 and has since gone on to make 78 appearances, scoring 10 goals.

He joined Udinese in 2012 and played there until 2016 when he moved to Napoli. In January 2017, he was loaned out to Empoli where he stayed until the end of the season. 

He returned to Napoli in December 2016 but suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury shortly after and had surgery which kept him out of action for six months.

Piotr Zielinski (born 5 February 1990) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Serie A club Napoli, on loan from Udinese Calcio. Born in Gdańsk, he started playing football at local side Śląsk Wrocław before joining regional powerhouse Polonia Warsaw at the age of 12.

After making his senior debuts with them during the 2006–07 Ekstraklasa season, he spent two seasons on loan with Arka Gdynia helping them reach promotion from II.

Karol Świderski is a Polish footballer who currently plays for Charlotte FC in the United States. Rawia Rawicz before moving to Poland's top side Cracovia in 2015.

He made his international debut for Poland in 2017 and has since played at youth level, UEFA Euro U-21 Championship qualification and the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Fabiański is a Polish goalkeeper who currently plays for West Ham United in the English Premier League. He made his debut for Poland in 2007 and has since played at several major tournaments, including the 2010 World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012.

In 2018, he helped Poland reach the World Cup final where they lost to France 1–0. Arkadiusz Milik is a Polish international striker who currently plays for Juventus on loan from Marseille. He made his professional debut with Rozwój Katowice in 2011 and went on to make over 100 appearances for the club, scoring 36 goals.

Milik joined Marseille in 2017 and has since scored 24 goals in 48 appearances for the French side. The 28-year-old was named Poland’s Player of the Year twice .

Arkadiusz Milik is a Polish international footballer who plays for Juventus. He started his career at Górnik Zabrze before joining Bayer Leverkusen in 2013.

Piszczek is a Polish international footballer who currently plays for Goczałkowice-Zdrój in the Polish Second Division. He began his career at Ruch Chorzów, before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2010.

There he won two Bundesliga titles and the Champions League in 2013/14. In 2016, he signed with Tottenham Hotspur but only made one appearance before being loaned back to Dortmund the following season.

He announced his retirement from professional football after making just four appearances for Spurs during the 2018–19 campaign due to injury problems. 

Piszczek has represented Poland at various levels, including 36 times senior level and 10 times under 21s.

On 8 February 2020, he scored an 89th-minute equaliser against Portugal which ensured that Poland qualified for Euro 2020 as Group C winners.

Boruc is a goalkeeper who has played for clubs in Poland and England. Boruc joined English club Southampton in 2006, where he made over 200 appearances until his departure to Legia Warsaw in 2021.

He was part of the Polish team that reached the semi-finals of Euro 2012, before being eliminated by eventual champions Spain. Boruc won silver medals with Poland at both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, as well as bronze medals at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups qualifiers.

In October 2018, it was announced that Boruc had been selected for Poland's squad for their upcoming World Cup campaign.

Sebastian Szymański is an attacking midfielder who currently plays for Feyenoord on loan from Dynamo Moscow. The 23-year-old rose through the ranks at TOP 54 Biała Podlaska before joining Legia Warsaw in 2013.

Szymon Żurkowski is a Polish footballer who plays for Fiorentina as a midfielder. September 25, 1997 in Tychy, Silesia. He made his professional debut with MOSiR Jastrzebie Zdroj in the Polish Ekstraklasa at the age of 17 years and 327 days.

In February 2018 he signed a six-year contract with Fiorentina.[2] Poland at under-19 and under-21 levels, before making his senior international debut in October 2017 against Lithuania.

A versatile player, Żurkowski can also play as an attacking mid fielder or winger; he has been deployed mainly as a left back by coach Adam Nawałka during his time at Fiorentina.

Szymon Żurkowski is one of three Polish players to have played for both Legia Warsaw and Chelsea (the others being Jakub Blaszczyński and Przemyslaw Tyton).

Robert Gumny is a Polish defender who currently plays for FC Augsburg. He made his professional debut with Lech Poznań in 2016, and has since played over 50 matches for the club.

Skorupski is a Polish goalkeeper who currently plays for Bologna. Skorupski made his professional debut in the 2010–11 season, and has since become a first-team regular.

He was named Poland's Young Player of the Year in 2012 and 2017, and also won the IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper Award in 2016.

Zbigniew Boniek is a Polish football manager and UEFA Vice President. He has also been a president of the Polish Football Association (PZPN) and a player.

Boniek was born on March 3, 1956, in Bydgoszcz, Poland. He started playing football at a young age and later became a professional player. In 1982, Boniek became a manager and led Polish clubs such as Legia Warsaw and Widzew Łódź.

He also managed the Poland national team. In 2012, Boniek was elected president of the Polish Football Association (PZPN). He served in this role until August 2021. 

In June 2021, Boniek was elected as UEFA Vice President. He will continue to serve in this role until April 2023.

Zbigniew Boniek was a Polish international footballer who played as a midfielder. Boniek spent most of his career with Zawisza Bydgoszcz, where he helped the club win the Polish Cup in 1975. He also played for Juventus and Roma, before retiring in 1988.

Jacek Krzynówek is a Polish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Italian side AC Milan and the Polish national team. He started his career at RKS Radomsko, before moving to KS Cracovia in 1997. 

He made his international debut in 1999, and went on to represent his country at the 2002 World Cup, Euro 2004 and the 2006 World Cup.

He has played over 250 games for his country, scoring 26 goals.

Ernest Pohl was a Polish football player who played for Hertha Berlin, Dynamo Kiev, and Grasshopper Club Zurich. He was known for his accurate passing and ability to create opportunities for his teammates.

Pohl died in 1995 at the age of 66 from a heart attack. Ernest Pohl was a German-born science fiction and fantasy writer. He is most famous for his novel Gateway, which was first published in 1954. 

He also wrote short stories and novels, including the Hugo Award-winning novel The Space Merchants.

Pohl was a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, and was inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame in 1998. He died in Hausach, Germany in 2004.

Ernst Otton Wilimowski was born on 23 June 1916 in Kattowitz, German Empire. He played for 1. FC Kattowitz from 1932 to 1933 and then for Ruch Chorzów from 1934 to 1939.

In 1939, he joined 1. FC Kattowitz again, but left the club in 1940 to join the German national team. He played for the national team in the World Cup in 1938 and in the European Championship in 1940.

He also played for 1. FC Kattowitz in the Polish Championship in 1937 and 1938. He retired from playing in 1940, and later worked as a coach. Ernst Otton Wilimowski died on 30 August 1997 in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Ernst Wilimowski was a prolific goalscorer for PSV Chemnitz during the 1940s and early 1950s. He scored 68 goals in league play during his time with the club, which is more than any other player. Ernst Wilimowski also had a successful international career, scoring 13 goals for Germany between 1941 and 1942.

After leaving PSV Chemnitz, Ernst Wilimowski spent several years with 1860 Munich before moving on to FC Kattowitz and then Karlsruher SC. 

Ernst Wilimowski ended his career with SC Zwiesel in 1948. Ernst Wilimowski was a member of the Polish national team between 1934 and 1939, and he helped his country to the semi-finals of the 1938 World Cup.

Szarmach is a Polish professional football striker who was born on 3 October 1950 in Gdańsk. He first played for Arka Gdynia in 1969 before spending the next 10 years with Górnik Zabrze.

Szarmach then moved to France to play for Auxerre and Clermont Foot. He retired from professional football in 1987 but continued to play for a number of lower-level clubs. Szarmach made his international debut for Poland in 1972 and went on to score 27 goals in 63 appearances.

He was named the Polish Footballer of the Year in 1976 and 1977. Szarmach has since been involved in coaching and managing clubs in his home country. 

He was recently inducted into the Gdańsk Walk of Fame. Szarmach was named the Polish Footballer of the Century in 2000. Andrzej Szarmach played football as a midfielder for many years and represented his country at both the international level and the Olympic Games.

Szarmach had a successful managerial career, firstly with Clermont Foot and then with Châteauroux. He then moved to Angoulême and spent two years there before moving to Lubin. Szarmach retired from playing in 1998, but continued to manage for a few more years. 

He has since been involved in the coaching staff of various teams. Szarmach is now a football commentator for Polish television. Szarmach is a devout Catholic and his charity work focuses on helping children in need.

He has three children and is married to his long-time partner. Szarmach is a popular figure in Poland and is often seen at public events.

Gerard Cieślik was a Polish actor, who is best known for his role in the popular Polish soap opera, Życie Zwykłe. Cieślik was also a successful stage actor, who appeared in numerous productions across Poland and abroad.

Cieślik is also remembered for his charitable work, which focused on the promotion of Polish culture abroad. Cieślik is a member of the Polish Actors' Union and the Polish Film Academy. Gerard Józef Cieślik was born on 27 April 1927 in Hajduki, Poland.

On 3 November 2013, Gerard Cieślik passed away at the age of 86.
