The Toronto Argonauts have a long and storied history as one of the oldest professional sports teams in North America. Founded in 1873, the team has been competing in the Canadian Football League (CFL) since 1954, and in that time they have captured 17 Grey Cup Championships.

Phillips was undrafted in 2018 but signed with the Carolina Panthers. Phillips played for the Buffalo Bills and Houston Roughnecks in 2018 before signing with the Argonauts in 2020.

Phillips has made a total of 37 catches for 443 yards and two touchdowns during his career. Phillips is a versatile receiver who can also play on special teams.

Which could be an advantage for the Argonauts as they attempt to make it back to the playoffs this season Phillips was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the third round of the 2020 CFL Draft.

In his rookie season, Phillips recorded 54 receptions for 712 yards and six touchdowns. Phillips has been a consistent contributor in each of his four seasons with the Ticats, recording at least 50 catches and 600 receiving yards every year since joining the team in 2020. 

Phillips is one of only three players to have over 1,000 receiving yards in each of their first four seasons with a single CFL team (the others being Mike Tolkin and Derel Walker).

He is also one of just two players to record over 100 receptions and 10 touchdown passes during their career with Hamilton (joining quarterback Jeremiah Masoli).

Oakman is a defensive end who was drafted by the Bismarck Bucks in 2018 but did not play for them. He went on to sign with the West Virginia Roughriders and played for them in 2019.

Oakman had a breakout season in 2020, recording 12 sacks and helping the Los Angeles Wildcats reach the playoffs. In 2021, Oakman signed with the Toronto Argonauts where he has continued to be one of their top defenders.

Shawn Oakman is coming off a Grey Cup championship with the Toronto Argonauts. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 7th round of the NFL Draft, but elected to play in Canada instead. 

Oakman started his career strong with the Argos and recorded 16 sacks over two seasons before being traded to Saskatchewan midway through his third season. In 2018, he had 11 sacks for Toronto and helped lead them to their first ever Grey Cup victory. 

After playing out his contract with Toronto, Oakman signed a one-year deal with Baltimore prior to this season where he has once again been dominant recording 10 sacks so far this year alone.

Shane Ray was a first-round pick by the Denver Broncos in 2015. He played for the Baltimore Ravens from 2019 to 2021, before joining the Toronto Argonauts in 2020.

Ray has recorded over 100 tackles and six sacks in his career so far. 

The 29-year-old is considered one of the best defensive linemen in the league today, and will be an important part of any team he plays for moving forward Ray was a unanimous All-American in 2014 and won the SEC Defensive Player of the Year award.

Ray has 94 total tackles, 14 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries in his NFL career thus far. He also has 1 interception. 

Shane Ray is an all-around standout defender who helped lead 3 different teams to Super Bowl victories (50 with Denver Broncos, 2022 with Saskatchewan Roughriders, 2014 with Kansas City Chiefs).

4. Dewayne Hendrix

Hendrix was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 2019 but did not sign with them. He then signed with the Toronto Argonauts shortly afterwards. Hendrix is a defensive end and stands at 6'4" and weighs 265 pounds.

Hendrix attended Pittsburg where he played football for the Panthers from 2015-2018, recording 66 tackles, 10 sacks and 4 interceptions over that time period. 

After going undrafted in 2019, Hendrix joined the Miami Dolphins practice squad before signing with Toronto later that year as an unrestricted free agent.

In his debut season with Toronto in 2020, Hendrix recorded 5 sacks while helping lead the Argonauts to their first Grey Cup victory since 2007. 

Hendrix was drafted in the 4th round by the Chicago Bears. He played for Jacksonville, St. Louis and Pittsburgh before becoming a free agent and signing with Toronto in 2019.

Hendrix has appeared in 45 games over his five year career, totaling 142 tackles, one interception and six sacks. In 2020 he won Grey Cup with Toronto as part of their inaugural season in the CFL. 

Dewayne Hendrix is currently an active player on the Chicago Bears roster but is set to become a free agent at the end of this season.

Chad Kelly was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He attended St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute and played quarterback for the school's football team before enrolling at Clemson University to play football.

After redshirting his first year, Chad Kelly started all 13 games of the following season as a freshman quarterback and led Clemson to an appearance in the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship game where they lost to Alabama 41-35 on a last second field goal by Jake Coker.

In 2017, he became one of only two quarterbacks in NFL history (with Donovan McNabb) to start all 16 regular season games for three different teams during their rookie seasons (the other being Carson Wentz). 

On September 1st, 2017, after starting the entire preseason with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Chad Kelly signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent and was released on October 6th after completing 3 out of 5 passes in a Week 4 loss against Dallas Cowboys; however he was re-signed just 2 days later On March 14th 2018.

He passed for 367 yards and 3 touchdowns while leading his team past Jacksonville Jaguars 23-16 who had entered halftime with a 21 point lead; earning him AFC Offensive Player Of The Week Award which made him only fourth player ever in CFL history.

Henry Burris(Ottawa Redblacks/2006), Damon Allen(Calgary Stampeders/2001) & Ricky Ray(Toronto Argonauts/2007) - to win that award twice consecutively.

He completed 25 out of 43 pass attempts for 355 yards and 2 touchdowns while playing 44 minutes including overtime period against Baltimore Ravens on August 30th as part of NFL.

 International Series held at Wembley Stadium resulting Philadelphia Eagles winning 33-30 thanks also to Torrey Smith receiving touchdown from Nelson Agholor less than two minutes into OT making it 34-30 Baltimore.

Which resulted television ratings record breaking game attracting over 50 million viewers on NBCSN.

In week 12 vs Carolina Panthers he injured his ankle late in third quarter but continued playing until final whistle finishing 15 out of 27 passing attempts for 263 yards Kelly is currently under contract through 2020 with option years thereafter.

Philip Blake was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 2012 NFL Draft. He played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2013 and the Montreal Alouettes in 2015-2018.

Blake signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2019. He was named a CFL All-Star in 2018 and was voted the league's Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman. Blake is a three-time winner of the CFL's Most Outstanding Lineman Award.

Blake is a Canadian citizen and played college football at Baylor. He was born in Toronto, Ontario and played his high school football at Bishop Allen Catholic High School. Blake is married and has two children. Blake is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.

Philip Blake played 78 games with the Toronto Argonauts over the course of his career, starting 77 of them. He was a CFL East All-Star in 2018 and was a Grey Cup champion with the team in 2022. Blake was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

He played three seasons with the Ravens before being traded to the Calgary Stampeders in 2014. Blake signed with the Argonauts in 2018 and played a key role in their Grey Cup victory. He is currently a free agent and is likely to return to the Argonauts.

Markeith Ambles was a standout wide receiver for Henry County High School in Georgia. He went on to play for Houston in college, but was undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Ambles signed with the Calgary Stampeders in 2018 and played well enough to be re-signed by the Argonauts in 2021. Ambles is a versatile receiver who can play both on the outside and in the slot.

Ambles was also named the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian in 2020. In the Argonauts' Grey Cup victory in 2022, Ambles caught seven passes for 139 yards and a touchdown. Ambles has also been a member of the United States national team. He has played in two World Cups and one CONCACAF Cup.

Henoc Muamba is a linebacker for the Toronto Argonauts. He was drafted in the first round of the 2011 CFL Draft by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He played for the Indianapolis Colts from 2014 to 2015.

He was traded to the Montreal Alouettes in 2015. He was signed by the Dallas Cowboys in 2016 but was released in October. He returned to Montreal in December. He was traded to the Toronto Argonauts in February 2018.

He was signed to a long-term contract with the Argonauts in May 2018. He was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Player in 2018. Henoc Muamba was drafted in the 3rd round of the NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons in 2018.

Henoc Muamba played college football for the McGill Redmen. Muamba was a part of the Redmen's 2017 Grey Cup victory. Muamba signed with the Montreal Alouettes in 2018. Muamba was released by Montreal in November of 2018.

Muamba signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in December of 2018. Muamba started in the Roughriders' first game of the 2019 CFL season. Henoc Muamba has yet to record any statistics in the CFL. Henoc Muamba is currently a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders' practice squad.

He was signed as a free agent by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2015. In 2017, Woods was named the East Division All-Star. Woods retired from the CFL in 2018. Bear Woods was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the fourth round of the 2009 CFL Draft.

Woods played four seasons with the Argonauts, recording 137 defensive tackles, four sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble. He was signed as a free agent by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2015. In 2017, Woods was named the East Division All-Star.

Woods retired from the CFL in 2018. Woods was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2010 NFL Draft. Woods played for the Montreal Alouettes from 2011 to 2016. Woods was part of the Argonauts' inaugural season in 2017. Woods has won two Grey Cups with the Toronto Argonauts.

Woods has been a two-time CFL All-Star and won the James P. McCaffrey Trophy in 2014 and 2016. Woods has amassed over 2,000 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns in his career.

Samuel Acheampong was born on January 12th, 1996 in Brampton, Ontario. He played college football at the University of Utah. He was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the fifth round of the 2018 CFL Draft.

He made his CFL debut in the Argo's 33-29 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders on July 22nd, 2018. He recorded two tackles and one sack in that game. He played in all 16 regular season games for the Argonauts and finished with 36 tackles and four sacks.

He was named the East Division's Most Outstanding Defensive Lineman at the CFL Awards Ceremony on December 5th, 2018. He was also named to the East Division All-Star Team. 

He signed a three-year contract extension with the Argonauts on December 21st, 2018. Samuel Acheampong is a Canadian Football League player who currently plays for the Toronto Argonauts.

He was drafted by the team in the second round of the 2020 CFL Draft. Samuel Acheampong has had a successful career in the CFL. He has won a Grey Cup championship with the Argonauts in 2022.

Lemon was drafted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 2011 CFL Draft. He played for the Saskatoon Roughriders and the San Jose SaberCats in his first two CFL seasons.

In 2016, Lemon signed with the Calgary Stampeders. Lemon has played in 97 career CFL games and has registered 89 tackles, 11 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Lemon is a three-time CFL All-Star and was voted the East Division's Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2018.

Lemon is a U.S. citizen and was born in Charleston, South Carolina. Lemon is married and has two children. Lemon is a business analyst for the Calgary Stampeders. 

Lemon is a member of the Stampeders Alumni Association and is active in the community. Shawn Lemon has been a mainstay on the Calgary Stampeders' defence for the past few seasons.

Lemon has been a CFL all-star twice, and has won the Grey Cup in 2014 and 2017. Lemon has also been named to the CFL's all-time team, and is one of the most decorated players in the league's history.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson is a 34-year-old quarterback who was undrafted in 2011. He played for the San Jose SaberCats in 2011. In 2012, he played for the Calgary Stampeders.

In 2013, he played for the Montreal Alouettes. In 2014, he played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In 2015, he played for the Toronto Argonauts. In 2016, he played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

In 2017, he played for the BC Lions. In 2018, he played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. McLeod Bethel-Thompson was drafted in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. Bethel-Thompson played quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings from 2014 to 2016, and then for the Toronto Argonauts in 2017.

Bethel-Thompson has been a two-time Grey Cup champion, and is currently the CFL's all-time passing leader. Bethel-Thompson is a Canadian citizen, and is currently playing in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Wynton McManis is a linebacker for the Toronto Argonauts and was drafted in the 2016 NFL Draft but did not sign with a team. McManis played college football at Memphis and was a two-time All-American.

In the 2016 NFL Draft, McManis was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round but did not sign with them. McManis was then selected by the Argonauts in the seventh round of the 2016 CFL Draft.

McManis made his CFL debut in the Argonauts' season opener against the Montreal Alouettes and recorded five tackles. In Week 2, McManis recorded his first career sack against the Edmonton Eskimos. In Week 8, McManis recorded a season-high 14 tackles in the Argonauts' 48-21 win over the BC Lions.

In Week 10, McManis recorded 11 tackles in the Argonauts' 47-10 loss to the Ottawa REDBLACKS. McManis finished the season with 54 tackles, two sacks, and two interceptions in 11 games.

Ja'Gared Davis was born on September 11th, 1990 in Crockett, Texas. Davis played college football at SMU. He was undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, but signed with the Houston Texans.

Davis played for the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs in 2013 and 2014 respectively. He was signed by the Washington Redskins in 2014 and played with them until he was released in 2015.

Eric Rogers was undrafted in 2013 but caught on with the Dallas Cowboys. Rogers made a name for himself with the Portland Thunder of the Arena Football League, where he caught 42 passes for 576 yards and seven touchdowns in 2014.

Rogers signed with the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League in 2014 and had a great year, catching 78 passes for 1,188 yards and 11 touchdowns. Rogers joined the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL in 2015 and had a great year, catching 111 passes for 1,564 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Rogers signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2016 but was cut before the season started. Rogers signed with the Argonauts again in 2017 and had another great year, catching 122 passes for 1,752 yards and 18 touchdowns. 

Rogers signed with the Argonauts in 2018 and had another great year, catching 124 passes for 1,983 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Rogers signed with the Argonauts in 2019 and is having an even better year, catching 131 passes for 2,289 yards and 24 touchdowns. Rogers is one of the best receivers in the CFL and is a major threat to score any time he gets the ball.

Leake has averaged 73 rushing yards per game in his career. Leake is currently a running back for the Argonauts. Leake has expressed his desire to play in the NFL. Leake was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Andrew Harris is a Canadian Running back who has been with the Blue Bombers and Lions in the CFL. Harris had a successful career in the CFL with the Blue Bombers, earning two Grey Cups.

He was drafted in the 2008 CFL Draft by the Lions, but was traded to the Blue Bombers before the 2009 season started. Harris had a breakout year in 2016 with the Blue Bombers, earning CFL MVP and leading the team to the Grey Cup.

Harris signed with the Argonauts in February of 2022. Andrew Harris was born on October 12, 1992 in Toronto, Ontario. Harris attended Bishop Strachan School in Toronto and played football for the school's varsity team. Harris then attended McMaster University and played football for the McMaster Marauders.

Richardson was drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Steelers for two seasons before being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2015.

Natey Adjei was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1989. Adjei played college football at Buffalo and was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the seventh round of the 2012 CFL Draft.

Adjei has played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Toronto Argonauts, and Edmonton Eskimos in the CFL. Adjei retired from the CFL in 2017 after playing for the Edmonton Eskimos. In the CFL, Adjei has been a wide receiver and has amassed over 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.

Adjei has also been a member of the Canadian national team. Adjei is currently a coach at his alma mater, St. Joseph Secondary School.
