The New Zealand Warriors are a professional rugby league football club that has been playing in the National Rugby League (NRL) since 1995. Based in Auckland, they are the only team in the NRL from outside Australia and are currently coached by Andrew McFadden.

The Warriors have a strong history of success, having made the finals of the NRL six times and achieved a Grand Final appearance in 2002. They are the only team from outside Australia to have won the Minor Premiership and have a passionate fan base that follows them wherever they go.

Ruben Wiki was born in Auckland, New Zealand on 21 January 1973. He is a prop and centre for the All Blacks and has represented his country at international level since 1993.

Ruben Wiki made his test debut against France in 1993 and went on to play 79 tests, scoring 16 tries. 

In 2004 he became the first player ever to score 50 points in an international match when he helped New Zealand defeat Canada 42-14 at Eden Park.

On 10 July 2009, Ruben Wiki announced that he would retire from rugby after the 2009 World Cup tournament in South Africa, having played 236 games representing his country over 14 years (including 12 as captain). 

Ruben Wiki is married with two children and currently resides in Auckland where he runs a property business with his brother-in-law.

2. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is a fullback/wing player who was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1995. Charnze played for the Junior Kiwis before joining the NRL's Wellington Knights in 2013.

He made his first grade debut for the Knights against Canberra Raiders in round 17 of the 2014 season and quickly established himself as one of the team's key players.

James Maloney is a talented five-eighth and halfback who has played for the Melbourne Storm since 2007. He was born in Orange, New South Wales in 1986 and attended Sutherland High School before signing with the Melbourne Storm.

Maloney made his first grade debut for the Melbourne Storm in 2006 against Parramatta Eels and has since been a mainstay of their team, playing over 200 games for them. 

In 2013 he signed with English club St Helens RLC but returned to the Melbourne Storm at the end of that season.

James Maloney is one of Australia's most successful rugby league players having won two premierships (2007 and 2013) as well as a World Cup (2013).

During his time with Melbourne Storm, James helped them win two NRL Premierships (2007 & 2012) as well as making 4 appearance for Australia national team including 2 test matches against New Zealand and 1 match against England during 2013 World Cup campaign.

Which Australia went on to win - sealing their first ever World Cup title. In 2016 James decided to return home and sign with Penrith Panthers after 12 seasons overseas where despite struggling through some tough times early into.

His tenure at Penrith Panther's - due largely Injury- plagued 2017 Season saw him recapture form late into the year culminating in winning player of the season award at season’s end.

Brent Tate began his career with the Roma Eagles in Queensland before moving to England and playing for Bradford Bulls, Coventry Bears, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Hull Kingston Rovers.

In 2009 Brent Tate was signed by the Sydney Roosters where he played until 2014. After being released by the Sydney Roosters he joined the Newcastle Knights in 2015. 

Brent Tate has represented Australia at international level on a number of occasions including test matches against New Zealand and France as well as minor tournaments such as The World Cup Qualifiers against Samoa and Papua New Guinea.

In 2017 Brent Tate announced his retirement from professional rugby league after spending two years with Newcastle Knights. Currently Brent is undertaking a coaching course at NRL Super League side North Sydney Bears

5. Matthew Ridge

Matthew Ridge is a fullback who has played for Ponsonby in the New Zealand National Rugby League. Ridge was born in 1968 in Rotorua, New Zealand and played rugby union before switching to rugby league in 1992.

He has represented New Zealand at international level, playing in the 1995 World Cup and the 2000 and 2003 Tri-Nations tournaments. Ridge played in the 1995 World Cup and the 2000 and 2003 Tri-Nations tournaments.

In 2004, Blair moved to the Auckland Warriors and played for them until 2007. In 2007, Blair signed with the Brisbane Broncos and played for them until 2013. In 2013, Blair signed with the Sydney Roosters and played for them until 2017.
