Bradford City AFC is one of the most storied clubs in English football. Founded in 1903, they have had a rich and varied history which includes two promotions to the top flight of English football, multiple play-off appearances and also tragedy when 56 people lost their lives at Valley Parade Stadium during a fire on 11th May 1985. Currently managed by Mark Hughes, Bradford City are now competing in League Two – the fourth tier of English Football. With an average attendance for home games consistently around 10,000 fans per match since 2017/18 season, it’s clear that there remains a passionate fan base behind this great club from West Yorkshire.

Luke Hendrie is a defender and midfielder for Bradford City. He made his senior debut in 2012 for Manchester United, before spending two seasons on loan at Huddersfield Town and York City respectively.

In 2016, he joined Bradford permanently and has since played over 100 games in all competitions for the club. Hendrie has represented England at under-15, under-16, under-17, under-18 level, as well as playing twice for the U21s.

He is also eligible to play for Northern Ireland due to his father's heritage there; however he has not yet chosen to represent them internationally. 

Luke Hendrie is contracted with Bradford until June 2020. In May 2019 he was voted Player of the Year by fans after helping Bradford reach promotion from League One. Hendrie is a young, upcoming midfielder who currently plays for Grimsby Town.

Hendrie has been capped by England at various youth levels and is looking to make his senior debut soon. Hendrie is known for his passing ability and control in the middle of the park. 

Hendrie was signed to bolster Grimsby's midfield department this season and will be looking to help them achieve promotion back to the Championship next year. With 90 appearances under his belt, Luke Hendrie is one of the longest serving players in Grimsby Town's history.

Alex Gilliead is a forward who has played for Bradford City in the Championship. Gilliead was born on 11 February 1996 in Shotley Bridge, England and began his career at Newcastle United before moving to Bradford City in 2016.

Alex is tall and strong with good ball control, making him an exciting prospect for any team he plays for. Alex is known as a quick player who can create chances from anywhere on the pitch. 

He has represented England at youth level but may now be looking to represent his country at senior level after impressing during Bradford's promotion campaign this season.

Alex will be hoping to continue his impressive form into next season and help BradfrodCity return to the Premier League Alex Gilliead is a talented English footballer who has played for several clubs in England. 

Alex Gilliead started his career with Newcastle United, and he also spent time on loan at Carlisle United and Luton Town. In 2018, Alex Gilliead joined Bradford City on a season-long loan deal.

Alex Gilliead was called up to the England U20 team in 2015, but he has yet to play for them at senior level. Alex Gilliead is likely to stay with Bradford City next season, after they were relegated from the Premier League this year.

Stuart McCall was born on 10 June 1964 in Leeds, England. He started his career at Bradford City before moving to Sheffield United as an assistant manager in 2007.

Stuart has made over 400 appearances in the English league and is best known for his time with Bradford City where he won the League Cup and FA Cup in 1989 and 1990 respectively.

In international competition, Stuart has represented Scotland 42 times and played at Euro 1992, 1998 World Cup and Euro 2004 among other tournaments. 

After retiring from playing professionally, Stuart became a coach with Sheffield United until he retired from that role too earlier this year after suffering a heart attack while coaching against Rotherham United.

Stuart McCall enjoyed a successful playing career as a midfielder with Bradford City and Everton.

He then went on to manage the clubs for which he had played, Bradford City and Sheffield United. He was interim manager of Rangers in 2016 before being appointed full-time manager at Bradford City in 2018.

David Wetherall is a defender who has played for Sheffield United, Coventry City and Morecambe. He was part of the England U-21 team that won the European Championship in 1991.

David Wetherall made his first-team debut for Sheffield United in November 1990 and went on to make over 200 appearances for them before joining Coventry City in January 1998. He spent two seasons with Coventry City, helping them win promotion from League One in 1999–2000 and reach the FA Cup semi-finals that season.

In July 2001, he joined Morecambe where he finished his senior career four years later after making 106 appearances. David Wetherall was a midfielder who played for Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds United and Bradford City. 

David Wetherall had a successful managerial career, leading Bradford City to the Championship play-offs in 2007.

He later moved on to manage Kingstonian before leaving the club in May 2011. David Wetherall is currently manager of Scottish Premiership side Ross County.

Hanson started his career at Huddersfield Town, where he spent five seasons before moving to Premier League side Manchester United in 2009. Hanson played for Boston United from 2022-2024 and was part of the team that won the FA Trophy in his final season.

Hanson has also represented England at U21 level and made two appearances for the senior squad. In May 2019, Hanson signed with Worksop Town after leaving Manchester United prematurely due to a knee injury. 

Hanson is known for his powerful striking ability and is considered one of the most talented British strikers of his era.

Hanson has spent his entire senior career with Bradford City, making 283 appearances and scoring 77 goals. 

Hanson is a versatile midfielder who can play in both defence and midfield, as well as being capable of starting attacks from the back. Hanson made 17 appearances for Sheffield United during loan spell in 2018-19 season before returning to Bradford City.

Hanson was part of the team that won promotion to League One in 2017-18 campaign, helping them reach the Championship play-offs where they lost to Fulham on penalties after playing out a goalless draw in the semi-final stage. 

Hanson signed for AFC Wimbledon on loan during summer 2019 but left their after only 14 appearances due to injury problems; he later returned to Bradford City on a permanent deal until 2020-21 season.

He has also had spells at Farsley Celtic (loan), Grimsby Town (loan) and Boston United (loan).

Doyle started his career at Birmingham City before moving to Bradford City in 2015. He is currently the goalkeeper for Bradford City and has made 31 appearances for them so far.

Doyle played youth football with Douglas Hall before playing senior football for Birmingham City from 2003-2015. 

After leaving Birmingham, Doyle spent a year out of the game before rejoining Bradford in 2016 as their new goalkeeper Colin Doyle is a Scottish professional footballer who currently plays for Bradford City.

Colin Doyle started playing football at the age of six and progressed through the ranks at local side Chester City before signing a loan deal with Nottingham Forest in 2004. 

After impressing during his time with Forest, he was snapped up by Millwall on a permanent deal in 2005. With over 150 appearances for Millwall to his name, Doyle moved to Coventry City on a season-long loan in 2010 before returning to Millwall the next year.

In 2015–16, Doyle spent time on loan at Blackpool where he made 33 appearances before returning to Kilmarnock permanently later that year. He has also represented Republic of Ireland U21s and played one game for their senior team in 2007.

Jacobs began his playing career at Sheffield Wednesday, making over 100 appearances for the club before retiring in 1997. He subsequently took up a coaching position with Sheffield Wednesday and has since worked his way up to assistant manager.

Jacobs is also involved in charity work and was recently appointed as honorary ambassador for the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK. In 2003, he was awarded an OBE for services to football and charity work after being nominated by then England captain Alan Shearer.

Wayne Jacobs remains a popular figure among Owls fans and will be remembered fondly by those who have had the privilege of watching him play over the years Jacobs started his managerial career at Bradford City before moving to West Bromwich Albion in 2018. 

Jacobs has a wealth of experience, having played as a defender for Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City over 18 years ago.

He is known for his defensive approach and strong work-rate on the pitch. His time with Bradford City was marked by success, leading them to promotion from League One in 2007 under his guidance. 

At West Bromwich Albion, Jacobs will hope to build on their eighth-place finish last season and secure Premier League football for the club in 2019/20.

Gareth Evans is a midfielder for Fleetwood Town in the English Football League. Gareth Evans began his career at Crewe Alexandra, before moving to Manchester United in 2002.

Evans was part of the England U21 side that qualified for the 2007 European Championships, and later represented Wales at under-21 level. In January 2013, Evans moved to Radcliffe on loan until the end of the season.

He made his debut for Radcliffe against Northwich Victoria on 31 January 2013,[4] and helped them win promotion to Division One South as champions.

On 8 July 2014, it was announced that Evans had signed with Championship club Queens Park Rangers on a three-year contract. After one year with QPR, he left them by mutual agreement in May 2016 after suffering relegation from the Premier League.

Scott Banks is an attacking midfielder who currently plays for Bradford City on loan from Crystal Palace. Scott Banks started his youth career with Linlithgow Rose Boys Club before moving to play for Glasgow Celtic and then Newcastle United.

In 2017, Scott Banks was a part of the Crystal Palace team that won the FA Cup final. In January 2019, it was announced that Scott Banks had joined Bradford City on loan until the end of the season. 

Scott banks has represented Scotland at both under-17 and under-21 level Banks started his senior career at Dundee United, where he made over 100 appearances.

He then moved to Clyde on loan in 2019 before joining Crystal Palace on a free transfer later that year. In 2020, Banks joined Alloa Athletic on loan and went onto make four appearances for the club before returning to Dunfermline Athletic the following year. 

In 2021, Banks signed for Bradford City on a short-term deal and helped them reach the play-offs that season.

After impressing with Scotland U19s in 2019, Banks has been called up to their full national team squad several times since then including two 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers as well as this year's UEFA European Championship qualifying campaign.

Which ended in defeat against Sweden last month but still secured qualification for next summer's tournament through another playoff match against Slovenia next week.

Dion Pereira is a young English talent who has been impressing in the Football League with Bradford City on loan from Luton Town. Dion Pereira is highly rated within the footballing circles, and he looks to be an exciting player to watch in the years to come.

The winger possesses great pace and skill which makes him difficult for defenders to deal with, particularly when he's operating down the left flank. It will be interesting to see if Dion can help Bradford City secure promotion back into England's top division; so far this season, they have performed well overall.

As a youngster, Dion played for Watford before joining up with Luton Town last summer; it seems as though he has found his feet at Championship level very quickly indeed. 

Pereira made his debut for Watford in 2015, and has since gone on to make over 100 appearances for the club. Pereira is known for his prowess at defending, as well as scoring goals from midfield or defense.

In 2019 he joined Atlanta United 2 after being released by Watford, and made an immediate impact with five goals in eighteen appearances. He seems destined for a long career in the Premier League, with Luton Town loaned him out last year before Atlanta United signed him permanently this year.

Yann Songo'o is a French defender who joined Bradford City in the summer of 2022. He started his career with Deportivo La Coruña, before moving to Metz and then Zaragoza.

In 2018, he helped France win the World Cup, playing all three matches as they beat Croatia 3-1 in the final. Yann Songo'o is a composed defender who loves to get down and dirty in midfield when needed Yann Songo'o started his career at French side Auxerre before moving to Spanish side Zaragoza in 2010.

He made a total of 121 appearances and scored 16 goals for Plymouth Argyle during the 2018-19 season. 

Yann Songo'o has also had loan spells with Blackburn Rovers, Ross County, and Morecambe over the course of his career thusfar. The Cameroon international is currently on loan at Bradford City until the end of 2021.

Emmanuel Osadebe was born in Dundalk, Ireland on 1 October 1996. He is currently a midfielder for Bradford City and has made over 100 appearances for the club since joining in 2016.

Osadebe enjoyed a successful youth career with Shamrock Rovers, making over 150 appearances before moving to England to join Bradford City in 2016. Osadebe has represented Ireland at under-16, under-17, under-19 and senior level, scoring two goals at senior level.

He is most well known for his time at Dundalk where he made over 100 appearances and scored 27 goals.

After leaving Dundalk, Emmanuel signed for Tottenham Hotspur but only made a few appearances before moving on to Cambridge United. 

In 2018, he joined Newport County on loan and helped the club reach the third tier of English football for the first time in their history. Currently, Emmanuel is contracted to Bradford City but appears likely to leave at the end of the season due to lack of playing time.

Vadaine Oliver is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Bradford City. Vadaine Oliver was born in Sheffield, England on 21 October 1991. Vadaine Oliver is 6 ft 2in tall and weighs 117 lbs.

Romoney Crichlow is a defender who currently plays for Bradford City on loan from Huddersfield Town. Romoney Crichlow was born in Luton, England in 1999 and has spent his entire career to date playing football in the UK.

Liam Ridehalgh is a defender who currently plays for Bradford City. He was born in Halifax, England on 20 April 1991 and grew up playing football there.

Lee Angol is a striker who currently plays for Bradford City. He started his career with Tottenham Hotspur and made over 100 appearances for the club before moving on to Bradford City in January 2017.

Dean Windass is a former English professional footballer who played as a midfielder or striker. He spent the majority of his career with Hull City, scoring goals in both league and cup competitions.

After leaving Hull City, he had brief spells at Aberdeen and Oxford United before retiring from playing in 1999. Dean Windass was awarded an honorary degree by Kingston University in 2011 for his services to footballing education.

Mark James Bower was born in Bradford, England on 23 January 1980. He started his career at Bradford City, making over 100 appearances for the club before moving to Rochdale in 2004.

In 2006, he joined Halifax Town and spent two seasons with them before joining League Two side Plymouth Argyle in 2008. After one season with Plymouth Argele, he moved back down to League Two and signed for Accrington Stanley in 2010.

Stephen Darby started his youth career at Liverpool, where he made over 100 appearances. He was awarded a full professional contract with the Reds in 2008 and has since been a regular starter for them.

In 2012, Darby signed for Championship side Blackburn Rovers on a three-year deal and helped them to promotion back to the Premier League in 2015/16. Rory McArdle is a defender who currently plays for Harrogate Town. Rory was born on 1 May 1987 in Sheffield, England and raised in the city. He played football for his school team before joining local club Rotherham United as a trainee in 2002.

Billy Clarke is a striker who has played for Ipswich Town and Hull City in the English Premier League. Clarke made his debut for Ipswich at the age of 17, and went on to make 49 appearances for the club before joining Colchester United on loan in 2006.

Clarke joined Hull City in January 2019, having spent two years with EFL Championship side Sheffield Wednesday. Clarke scored his first goal for Hull in their 3-1 win over Cardiff City on 18 March 2019; he later said that it was "a dream come true".

Nahki Wells was born in Bermuda on 1 June 1990. He started his career with Dandy Town Hornets, before moving to England and joining Bristol City in 2013.

Joe Colbeck is a 36-year old English footballer who plays as a right winger for Championship side Birmingham City. Joe started his career at Bradford City, before moving on to play for Ipswich Town and then Birmingham City in the Premier League.

He has represented England at youth level, and won caps with both the under-21s and senior sides. In 2017–18, Joe made 23 appearances in all competitions for Birmingham City as they reached the playoffs but were unable to win promotion back to the Premier League.

Luke O'Brien was born in Halifax, England on September 11th 1988. He began his football career at Bradford City in 2005 where he made over 100 appearances for the club before leaving to join Peterborough United in 2007.

Omar Daley is a Jamaica international footballer, who has played for Portmore United and Israel. He started his career with Central Strikers in 2001 before moving to Israel later that year.

In 2006 he signed for Value P and helped the team win promotion to the Jamaican Premier League in 2007. In 2008, he moved back to Jamaica and joined Manchester City on loan until the end of the season.

However, he was not allowed to play due to visa problems and returned to Man City shortly after without playing a game for them.

In 2009 Omar rejoined Value P but left at the end of 2010 due to financial difficulties at the club which led him being declared bankrupt by The National Bankruptcy Court in Kingston on 25 January 2011.

He currently plays for Spanish second-division side UD Salamanca where he signed from Atlético Madrid B on 1 July 2013.

Jamie Walker is a Scottish winger who currently plays for Bradford City. Walker started his career at Heart of Midlothian before moving to Bradford City in 2015.

Walker has made over 100 appearances for both clubs and has scored 10 goals during his career so far. 

Walker represented Scotland at under-16, under-17, under-19 and Under 21 level, playing for the country on multiple occasions including Euro 2016 qualifying campaigns.

Finn Cousin-Dawson is a 20-year-old central defender who currently plays for Bradford City. He was born in Stockton-on-Tees, England and started playing football at the age of six with his local club, AFC Easingwold.

Matthew Platt is a defender for Bradford City. He was born on 3 October 1997 in Knowsley, England. At 1.83 m (6 ft 0 in), he is tall and solidly built for a defender.

Matthew started his career with Liverpool's academy but left after two years to pursue his footballing dreams elsewhere. He made his debut for Bradford City in September 2016 as a substitute against York City.

Michael Boulding began his career at Doncaster Rovers, before moving to Mansfield Town. He was prolific during his time at Mansfield, scoring 35 goals in 115 appearances.

Tony McMahon is a defender and midfielder who has played for Middlesbrough since 2004. He joined Blackpool on loan in 2007, playing in all but one of their matches that season.

Tony McMahon made his debut for England under-21s in 2005 and went on to make 16 appearances before being called up to the senior squad by Sven-Göran Eriksson in 2007.

Tyreik Wright is a young winger who has been playing for Plymouth Argyle since the 2018 season. Tyreik Wright started his career with Lakewood Athletic before joining Aston Villa in 2018.

Tyreik Wright is 1.79 meters tall and can play as a winger or forward, making him an important player for Plymouth Argyle on the field. Tyreik Wright has represented Ireland at youth level, and he hopes to do so again at senior level one day Tyreik Wright is a young player who has been playing for Aston Villa since the 2021 season.

Paul Heckingbottom is a 45-year old defender who has played for Sunderland, Darlington, Sheffield United and Hartlepool United in his career. 

He made his professional debut with Sunderland in 1995 and went on to play 105 times for the club before leaving for Darlington in 1999.

He was loaned out to Scarborough (1997) and Hartlepool United (1998) during his time at Sunderland before joining them permanently on a permanent deal the following year. 

Paul Heckingbottom helped Darlington win promotion from League Two in 2000–01 and then signed for Sheffield United as their new manager replaced Kevin Blackwell later that season.

The Blades were relegated back down to League One at the end of 2002 but bounced back immediately under Heckingbottom's management, finishing fifth in 2003–04 while also reaching the FA Cup semi-finals that same season. 

In 2006–07 he led Sheffield United to their second successive Championship title after they finished two points behind champions Manchester City despite losing 3 of their final 4 games of the season due to an 11-game ban imposed by The Football Association for breaking anti-doping rules.

Following relegation from The Premier League at the end of 2013–14, Paul Heckingbottom was appointed manager of struggling Sheffield United.

Kyel Reid is a winger who has played for West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Blackpool over the course of his career. He was born in England in 1987, and started playing football at the age of eight with local side Deptford Utd.

He made his professional debut for West Ham United in 2004, before spending time on loan at Barnsley and Crystal Palace during the next two years. In 2007 he moved to Blackpool on a permanent basis, where he spent seven seasons before joining Beaconsfield Town this year.

Reid is known as an attacking player who can score goals from distance or set up teammates; he has won several honours throughout his career, most notably the 2013 Football League Two play-off Final victory over Bradford City which earned him promotion to League One. 

He currently plays for Beaconsfield Town in League Two (the third tier of English football).

Richard Smallwood is a midfielder for Bradford City. He was born in Redcar, England on December 29th 1990 and began his career at Middlesbrough. After making over 100 appearances for the club, he joined Bradford City in January 2017.

In total, Richard has made over 230 appearances in the English football league system and international level for both England U21s and The full national team Richard Smallwood is a versatile player who can play in any midfield position.

He started his career at Middlesbrough before moving to Rotherham United on loan in 2014. In 2017, he joined Blackburn Rovers and played 78 games for them over two seasons before joining.

Andy O'Brien began his career at Leeds United before moving to Bradford City. He later played for Manchester United, Chelsea and Celtic FC in England before joining Queens Park Rangers in Scotland in 2014.

O'Brien was a regular starter for QPR during the 2015/16 season but left the club at the end of that campaign after they were relegated from the Premier League. In July 2017, he joined Championship side Reading on a two-year contract.

Andy O’Brien has made over 250 appearances throughout his career and is now playing with Reading in the English Championship O'Brien started his career at Bradford City, before moving to Newcastle United in 2001. He spent six seasons with the Magpies, scoring 33 goals in 120 appearances.

O'Brien then had a spell on loan at Bolton Wanderers before joining Leeds United permanently in 2011. With 43 league appearances and one goal for the Whites, he was released by Leeds in 2014. Nicky Law is a midfielder who currently plays for Rangers. He made his debut for Sheffield United in 2005 and went on to make over 100 appearances for the club before joining Rangers in 2013.

Nicky Law has represented England at youth level, making 11 appearances between U16s and U21s. In 2012, he was named Scottish Professional Football League Young Player of the Year after helping Rangers win the league title that season.

Morais is a Portuguese winger who has played for Chelsea and Milton Keynes Dons in the English Football League. Morais started his career at Chelsea, but was loaned out to Millwall in 2006.

After two seasons with Millwall, Morais moved to Milton Keynes Dons on a permanent deal in 2007. Morais made his first team debut for Milton Keynes Dons during the 2008–09 season and went on to make over 100 appearances for the club before leaving in 2013.

He rejoined Chelsea as a free agent that year and has since featured sporadically for them, most notably during their successful 2014–15 campaign which saw them win the Premier League title. In January 2016, he joined Championship side Reading on an initial one-month loan.

On 1 May 2016, Morai signed permanently with Reading after his contract with Chelsea expired.[6][7] Morai represented Portugal at under-21 level before making his full international debut against Scotland in November 2009.

He retired from international duty following Portugal's elimination from UEFA Euro 2012 although he remains eligible to represent Portugal through descent.

Lee Bullock is a midfielder who has played for York City in the English Football League. The 41-year-old started his career with York City in 1998 and went on to make 171 appearances, scoring 24 goals during that time.

In 2004, Bullock transferred to fellow EFL side Barnsley where he would make over 100 appearances before retiring at the end of the 2008 season. Lee retired from playing professionally in 2008 but continues to work as a coach with junior clubs near his home town of Stockton-on-Tees, England.

He was named captain of York City's reserves team midway through the 2009–10 season and helped them win promotion back into the Football League Two division after just two seasons absence. 

On 14 May 2010 Lee made an appearance for York City against Rochdale U21s coming on as a substitute in the 84th minute which led him being awarded honorary membership of Rochdale.

Bullock married his long term girlfriend Natasha Richardson on 2nd October 2012, they have one daughter together (born 10 December 2013). She also works as her husband’s assistant coach at their former club Stockton Town F C.

Timothée Dieng is a French international midfielder who currently plays for English club Exeter City. Timothée Dieng was born on 9 April 1992 in Grenoble, France.

He has played for clubs including Lille OSC, FC Nantes and AS Monaco before joining Exeter City in January 2018. 

In total, Timothée Dieng has made over 100 appearances for both national and club sides across Europe, most notably representing France at the 2013 U-20 World Cup and 2015.

European Championship tournaments as well as winning two Ligue 1 titles with Olympique de Marseille between 2014 and 2016.

An accurate passer of the ball with excellent vision and passing range from midfield, Timothée Dieng is popular with fans due to his creative playmaking abilities which often create chances for his teammates.
