Julius Peppers is a two-time First-team All-Pro and three-time Second Team All-Pro defensive end who played for the Carolina Panthers from 2002 to 2009, Chicago Bears from 2010 to 2013, Green Bay Packers from 2014 to 2016 and again with the Carolina Panthers in 2017.

He was born on January 18th, 1980 in Wilson, North Carolina U.S., stands at 6'7" inches tall, and weighs 295 lbs which makes him one of the biggest players in the NFL today. 

Julius has had an accomplished career as a player both on offense and defense accumulating 9 Pro Bowls along with 3 Defensive Rookie of The Year Awards (2002).

His standout years came during his time playing for Carolina where he helped lead them to their first-ever Super Bowl appearance against the Denver Broncos in 2006 but they were defeated 42–10 by Peyton Manning's team that season. 

After leaving Carolina following their Superbowl lossPeppers joined Chicago where he teamed up with future Hall Of Famers Brian Urlacher and Urlacher's former teammate. Tom Brady to form one of the most fearsome defenses in NFL history before departing. 

Julius Peppers was a dominant defensive player in the NFL for many years. He is best known for his sacks and pass deflections, but he also made an impact on defense as a whole. 

Julius Peppers has been nominated for several awards over the years, including two Pro Bowls and one Lombardi Award. Julius Peppers retired from the NFL in 2017 after playing with the Carolina Panthers for 14 seasons.

2. Alge Crumpler

Alge Crumpler is a tight end who played in the NFL for 11 seasons. He was a two-time Pro Bowler and made all-pro twice. 

In 2001, he was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round and spent four seasons with them before moving to Jacksonville Jaguars in 2006.

Between 2007 and 2015, he played for six different teams including New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, and Seattle Seahawks. 

Alge retired from football after playing his last game for the Seattle Seahawks at age 38 in 2016. Since then he has been working as an analyst on ESPN's "NFL Live".

Alge Crumpler was a dominant wide receiver in the NFL for 11 seasons. He helped lead the Tennessee Titans to two AFC Championship Games and one Super Bowl. 

In 2007, he was traded to the Atlanta Falcons, where he played until his retirement in 2010. Alge Crumpler is a four-time Pro Bowler and three-time First-team All-ACC selection at Georgia Tech University.

Dré Bly played cornerback for the St. Louis Rams and Detroit Lions from 1999 to 2006. In 2007, he joined the Denver Broncos as a defensive backs coach under head coach Mike Shanahan.

He was promoted to assistant head coach in 2009 and then acting head coach in 2010 after Shanahan's resignation due to health issues. 

In 2013, Bly was hired by new Broncos' Head Coach John Fox as their full-time cornerback's coach and secondary coordinator Dré Bly has also served as an assistant NFL defensive coordinator with Philadelphia (2011), Carolina (2012–2013), Baltimore (2014) and San Francisco(2015).

Dré Bly was drafted by the 49ers in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He played for San Francisco from 1999 to 2004 and helped lead them to a Super Bowl victory in XXXIV. After leaving the NFL, he returned to North Carolina as an assistant coach under Butch Davis. 

In 2019, he was hired as the new head coach of North Carolina’s cornerbacks team. Dré Bly is one of only two players ever selected in both the 1st and 2nd rounds of a draft (the other being hall-of-Famer Ronnie Lott).

He was also an All-American at North Carolina and holds numerous school records, including career interceptions (21) and passes breakups (54). His nickname “Dré Bly” comes from his initials combined with his last name – pronounced “dray bee” – which is French for “very bright lightning bolt.

4. Jeff Saturday

Jeff Saturday is the interim head coach for the Indianapolis Colts. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 18, 1975. He played football at Shamrock High School and then attended North Carolina where he played as a defensive back for the Tar Heels from 1994-1997.

After not being drafted by any NFL teams, Jeff signed with Baltimore Ravens in 1998 and helped them win Super Bowl XXXVIII that year. 

Jeff then spent eight seasons with Indianapolis Colts before leaving to join the Green Bay Packers in 2012 as their linebackers coach under Mike McCarthy.

In 2015, Jeff took over as interim head coach of the Miami Dolphins after Dan Campbell left to become the offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans. The following season (2016), he led Miami to an 8-8 record but was fired afterward due to continuing issues with player discipline.

 On February 11th, 2017 it was announced that Jeff would return to coaching when he became Interim Head Coach of the Indianapolis Colts replacing Chuck Pagano who had been diagnosed with leukemia.

As of now (2018), Jeffrey continues his duties as Interim HC while also serving as a color commentator on CBS Sports Network's "The NFL Today" alongside Phil Simms and Jay Glazer Jeff Saturday is a football legend and one of the most successful offensive linemen in NFL history. 

He has played for 10 different teams during his 18-year career, including two stints with the Indianapolis Colts. Saturday was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018, making him only the second lineman to be inducted (after Joe Jacoby).

His achievements include six Pro Bowl appearances, two First-team All-Pro nods, and one Second-team All-Pro award - all while playing for some of the biggest names in NFL history, such as Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Michael Bennett. 

Jeff Saturday retired after the 2017 season but returned to coach at Hebron Christian Academy in 2019 - where he led his team to their first state title since 2000.

5. Mack Hollins

Mack Hollins was drafted by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He played for the Eagles during his rookie year but was traded to Las Vegas prior to the 2019 season.

Hollins is a wide receiver who plays on both sides of the ball and has experience as a running back in high school. 

Hollins caught 47 passes for 703 yards and four touchdowns with Philadelphia in 2018 before being traded to Las Vegas.

He is looking forward to continuing his development with the Raiders this season. Mack Hollins has been praised for his athleticism and ability to make big plays downfield.

He was drafted by the team in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, Hollins had 111 receptions for 1,435 yards and 10 touchdowns. 

Hollins has been very productive during his career so far, and he is looking to continue that success in the 2020 and 2021 seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

Lawrence Taylor was one of the greatest outside linebackers in NFL history. He recorded over 100 sacks during his career and was named to 10 Pro Bowls. Lawrence Taylor had a difficult childhood, living in poverty with several siblings until he became successful as an NFL player.

After being drafted by the New York Giants, Taylor quickly established himself as one of the best players in the league and led them to three Super Bowl wins (XXI, XXII, and XXV). He retired from professional football following the 1993 season. 

In 2009, Lawrence Taylor was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame after being unanimously voted into nomination by NFL coaches and executives.

Today, Lawrence Taylor is a motivational speaker and ambassador for charity work around children's welfare issues such as child abuse prevention programs and hunger relief initiatives 

Lawrence Taylor was a two-time Super Bowl champion and three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He is also considered one of the best defensive players in NFL history, with 10 Pro Bowl appearances and 2 NFC Player of the Year Awards.

In 1986, he became only the second player to win both the Bert Bell Award and The Associated Press MVP award (the other being Jim Brown). 

On September 11th, 2001, Lawrence Taylor was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to American football as well as philanthropy work throughout his life.

7. Giovani Bernard

Bernard was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on November 22nd, 1991. After high school, Bernard attended the University of North Carolina where he played running back for two seasons.

In 2013 Bernard was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the NFL Draft and spent four years with them before signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021. 

As a professional runner, Bernard has accumulated over 5,000 rushing yards and 43 touchdowns across his career thus far.

Giovani Bernard is a former college football running back who was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Bernard has had an impressive career in the NFL, playing for three different teams over six seasons. 

He has rushed for over 3,000 yards and 22 touchdowns while also catching 365 passes for 2,990 yards and 14 receiving touchdowns.

In 2019, Bernard signed with the Oakland Raiders as a free agent after spending two years with the Minnesota Vikings. The veteran rusher will be looking to help lead Oakland to success in his final season in the league.

8. Chris Hanburger

Chris Hanburger played linebacker for the Washington Redskins from 1965 to 1978. He was a part of four divisional championships and two Super Bowls during his career.

Hanburger was an All-Pro selection six times in his career, including twice as a unanimous choice. He also won three NFL Defensive Player of the Year Awards and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1984.

After retiring as a player, Hanburger worked as an analyst on ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcasts before passing away in February 2015 at age 81 after battling health issues for many years. Chris Hanburger was an all-pro linebacker in the NFL for nine seasons.

He was a part of five Redskins teams that made it to the playoffs, and they reached two Pro Bowls. After his retirement from football, he became a color commentator on Redskins games.

Hakeem Nicks was a star wide receiver at Independence High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended North Carolina and played for the Tar Heels from 2006 to 2008.

In 2009, he was drafted by the New York Giants and spent three seasons with them before moving on to Indianapolis in 2014. Hakeem is one of the most experienced receivers in the NFL having played over 100 games during his career so far.

He has been a part of two Super Bowl-winning teams (2011 & 2012) and is currently playing for the San Francisco 49ers Hakeem Nicks was a first-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2007. In his six seasons with the Colts, he caught 356 passes for 5,081 yards and 31 touchdowns.

He signed with the New York Giants as a free agent in 2015 and had a solid season there catching 51 passes for 675 yards and four touchdowns. 

The following year he signed with the Saints, where he had an even better season catching 104 balls for 1,124 yards and eight touchdowns - both career highs in each category.

On March 11th of this year Hakeem Nicks announced his retirement from professional football after 10 years representing himself on Sundays.

10. Donnell Thompson

Thompson was a dominant defensive end for the North Carolina Tar Heels from 1977 to 1979. Thompson helped lead UNC to an undefeated regular season and a berth in the 1980 Sugar Bowl, where they lost to Alabama.

Thompson was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 1981 NFL Draft but never played for them due to injury. Thompson spent time with both the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins before retiring in 1992 after playing eight seasons in the NFL.

In 2001, Donnell became head coach at East Carolina University where he spent six years before being fired midway through his seventh year despite leading ECU to two bowl games during that span (the Independence Bowl and Military Bowl). 

After leaving ECU, Thompson served as assistant head coach at Appalachian State University until 2015 when he retired once again due to health concerns stemming from a car accident he suffered several years prior.

Quinn was drafted 14th overall by the St. Louis Rams in 2011 and spent four years with the team before signing with Miami as a free agent in 2018. Quinn has been an all-pro three times (2012, 2013, 2016) and is fifth on the NFL's all-time sacks list with 154.5 career takedowns.

His best season came in 2015 when he recorded 13 sacks for the Rams and Dolphins combined and helped lead his team to the playoffs where they were defeated by Pittsburgh in round one.

 Quinn will be playing his final season of football this year with Dallas after being released by Miami at the end of preseason action earlier this month. Robert Quinn is a former defensive end for the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles. 

He was drafted by the Bears in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft and played with them until 2016, when he signed with Philadelphia. Quinn won two Super Bowls (2013, 2014) with Chicago and one with Philadelphia (2019). 

He has been named to three Pro Bowls (2013, 2014, 2021) and was second in forced fumbles during his career behind only Jared Allen. 

Quinn also holds several individual records for defensive ends including most sacks in a season (22 in 2013), most tackles in a game (24 vs Green Bay Packers on November 18th, 2015),

most quarterback pressures in a season (126 against Minnesota Vikings on October 31st, 2017), as well as being third all-time for total points scored against an opposing offense while playing defense (.56 per game).

12. Myles Murphy

Murphy was a dominant defensive end for the Clemson Tigers in his junior year, recording 15 sacks and 57 tackles. Murphy has stated that he plans on attending law school following his football career, and will pursue a career in construction management.

Murphy is one of only two players from Georgia to be drafted into the NFL, joining cornerback Desmond Trufant (Seattle Seahawks). Murphy was a two-time first-team All-ACC selection and a member of the Clemson Tigers' 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship team.

Murphy is known for his speed, explosiveness, and playmaking ability on offense. He has amassed more than 4,000 yards from scrimmage in his career thus far. 

Murphy will have to contend with some tough competition at the NFL level next year as he prepares for what could be an outstanding career in professional football.

13. Josh Downs

Downs was a highly touted recruit out of high school, and he is entering his junior season with North Carolina. He has shown good athleticism during his career at UNC, catching 109 passes for 1,429 yards and 10 touchdowns in three seasons.

Downs will be a major threat as a receiver this year with the Tar Heels looking to make some noise in the ACC Atlantic Division. 

Downs was a two-time first-team All-ACC selection and an all-American in 2021. Downs totaled 131 tackles, 10 for loss, 4 sacks, 3 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles over his three seasons with the Tar Heels.

Down played linebacker at North Gwinnett High School where he helped lead the team to back to back state championships as a senior and junior.

Chandler was a four-star running back prospect out of Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. He started all 13 games for the Volunteers during his freshman season and finished with 1,787 yards on 347 carries (5.4 avg.) with 14 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Chandler declared for the NFL Draft following his sophomore year and was selected 169th overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2022 draft. In his rookie season in 2022.

He led the team with 815 rushing yards on 134 attempts (5 ypc) while also catching 28 passes for 298 yards and one touchdown.

Chandler became an unrestricted free agent after playing two seasons with Minnesota before signing a three-year contract extension with Carolina on July 2nd, 2024 Ty Chandler was a standout running back for the Minnesota Vikings in their first two seasons. 

He led the team in rushing yards and touchdowns as a rookie, then continued to be an important player on offense during his second season.

The 22-year-old has speed and agility that make him difficult to take down, but he also has good power and strength when he hits the ground. 

Chandler is built like a running back who can impact games both through his rushing attempts and receptions out of the backfield. He should continue to develop as a playmaker for the Vikings over the next few years.

15. Elijah Hood

Elijah Hood is a running back for the Carolina Panthers. He was drafted in the 7th round of the 2017 NFL draft. Hood attended Charlotte Catholic High School.

He was a three-year starter for the Panthers. He was a 1,000-yard rusher each of his last two seasons at North Carolina. In the NFL, Hood has played in 12 games.

He has 6 carries for 16 yards and 1 catch for 5 yards. Elijah Hood is a hard-working player who is looking to continue his development in the NFL. Elijah Hood is a versatile player that has experience playing a variety of positions on both offense and defense.

Hood has started at a few different positions during his collegiate career, including cornerback and wide receiver. He was a first-team All-ACC selection in 2015 and 2016, and was also a third-team selection in 2016. Hood was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Hood has started nine games for the Raiders in 2017, recording 32 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and an interception. Hood was traded to the Carolina Panthers in August of 2018. 

He has started all nine games for the Panthers this season, recording 39 tackles, six sacks, and an interception. Hood was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent in 2019.

Quinton Coples was a highly-rated defensive end prospect who was drafted by the New York Jets in the 2012 NFL Draft. Coples played college football at North Carolina and was a First-Team All-ACC selection in 2011.

Coples has made an impact in the NFL with the Jets, recording 17.5 sacks in his two seasons with the team. He has also shown versatility by playing on both the defensive line and in the defensive backfield. Coples is a workhorse player who is always hustling to make a play.

Charlie Justice was a halfback for the Washington Redskins from 1950 to 1954. He was drafted in the 16th round in 1950 and played for the Redskins for six seasons.

Ellis was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1998 NFL Draft. Ellis played for the Dallas Cowboys for 10 seasons, appearing in 151 games and recording 494 tackles, 17 sacks, and two interceptions.

Ellis was a four-time Pro Bowler and was eventually inducted into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor. Ellis retired from the NFL in 2008 and later became an analyst for Fox Sports. Ellis was a three-time First-team All-ACC selection at North Carolina and helped lead the Tar Heels to a National Championship in 1997.

Harris Barton was an all-pro offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers from 1987 to 1998. He was a two-time All-Pro and a member of the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 1990s.

Drechsler is a two-time All-Star and was the 1988-89 NBA Sixth Man of the Year. Drechsler owns and operates Dave's Drive-In in Bethesda, Maryland. Drechsler was inducted into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame in 2003. Drechsler is a television color commentator for the Charlotte Hornets.

Brandon Spoon was a middle linebacker for the Carolina Panthers from 2001-2009. Spoon was a four-time Pro Bowler and was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2001.

He was also a two-time All-Pro and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2006 and 2009. After playing for the Panthers, Spoon played for the New Orleans Saints from 2010-2013.
