The Newcastle United Jets Football Club, more commonly known as the Newcastle Jets, is a professional soccer club based in Newcastle, New South Wales.

Andrew Nabbout is a 30-year-old Australian forward who currently plays for Melbourne City in the A-League. Andrew began his career playing for Brunswick City before moving to Green Gully in 2009.
In 2010, he signed with Sunshine George Cross and helped them win the Victorian State League Division 2 championship that year.

Brandon O'Neill is a 28-year-old Australian defensive midfielder who currently plays for Newcastle Jets. He began his youth career with ECU Joondalup before joining Perth Glory in 2011.

The club participates in the A-League, the top tier of Australian football. The Newcastle Jets were formed in 1997 as an amalgamation of the Newcastle Knights and the New South Wales Central Coast Mariners.
The Knights had been a foundation club of the A-League, while the Mariners had competed in the league since 1996. The Jets play their home matches at McDonald Jones Stadium, which has a capacity of 18,500. The club’s most successful period came in the early 2000s, when they qualified for the A-League playoffs four times and reached the A-League Grand Final in 2005.
