Dietmar Demuth was born in Querfurt, Bezirk Halle, East Germany in 1955. Demuth started his career as a central defender at TuS Osdorf in 1963. He moved to FC St.

Thomas Meggle started his career at SF Harteck München before moving on to Wacker München. He made his debut for FC Augsburg in 1993 and went on to make 293 appearances for the club.
