Welcome to the exciting world of West Virginia Mountaineers men’s basketball. Founded in 1915, the Mountaineers have a rich and storied history of success, having won 13 conference tournament championships, made 29 appearances in the NCAA tournament, including two Final Fours, and won two National Invitation Tournaments championships.

Miles McBride is a highly touted prospect who was drafted by the New York Knicks in the second round of the 2020 NBA draft. Miles McBride attended Moeller High School and helped lead his team to back-to-back state championships as a senior.

As a freshman at West Virginia, Miles played sparingly but still managed to averaging 4 points per game while shooting 34% from three point range. 

In his sophomore season, Miles emerged as one of the best players on West Virginia's roster and averaged 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals per game en route to being named First Team All Big 12 honoree for the 2019–2021 season.

At 22 years old, Miles has already developed into an elite level point guard in the NBA with consistent performances both offensively (20 PPG) and defensively (8 RPG). Miles McBride was selected 36th overall in the 2021 NBA draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. 

Miles has played for three teams during his career so far, including New York Knicks, Westchester Knicks and Oklahoma City Thunder. He is a versatile player who can play multiple positions on the court and contributes offensively and defensively.

Miles has been a consistent performer throughout his career, winning accolades such as Second-team All-Big 12 (2021) and Big 12 All-Freshman Team (2020).

Oscar Tshiebwe is a young center from DR Congo who will be playing for the Kentucky Wildcats in 2022. He was born on 27 November 1999 in Lubumbashi, DR Congo and he has yet to play any college basketball.

At 6' 9" (2.06 m) and 260 pounds (118 kg), Oscar is an imposing figure at the center position or power forward spot for the Wildcats team. 

Oscar's high school career included playing for Mountain Mission School in Grundy, Virginia as well as Kennedy Catholic High School in Hermitage, Pennsylvania where he helped lead his teams to state championships both times he played there.

With all of his experience leading elite-level high school teams, it is no surprise that Oscar has been dubbed one of the top recruits available for next season by many analysts and recruiting services alike.

Williams was a high school standout in Cincinnati, Ohio, and he was highly recruited by some of the top programs in the country. He eventually chose West Virginia and played for the Mountaineers for two seasons.

After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft, Williams joined the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association. Williams has since returned to the NBA, signing with the Jiangsu Dragons of the CBA in the summer of 2021.

Williams is a powerful forward who is capable of scoring in a variety of ways, and he is expected to have a major impact in the Chinese league. Williams is also a skilled passer and rebounder, and he is considered to have a bright future in the NBA.

Williams is set to make his CBA debut this season, and he is looking to build on the success he has had in the past. Williams is a dedicated player who is always trying to improve his game, and he is expected to continue to make an impact in the Chinese league for many years to come.

Ebanks was originally drafted by the Lakers in 2010, but he never played in the NBA. He played for the Drive in the NBA Development League before retiring in 2017.

Ebanks was a four-year player at West Virginia before being drafted by the Lakers. Ebanks has played for Al-Ahli Jeddah in the Saudi Premier League since 2017. Ebanks is a powerful small forward who can score in a variety of ways.

Ebanks is currently playing for Al-Ahli Jeddah in the Saudi Premier League. Ebanks was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2010 and has since played for Bakersfield, Los Angeles D-Fenders, Texas Legends, Springfield Armor, Brujos de Guayama, and Leones de Ponce.

Ebanks has won several awards during his time in the NBA, including the 2010–2011 Bakersfield Jam Rookie of the Year, the 2012 NBA Development League MVP, and the 2013 NBA D-League All-Star Game MVP. Ebanks is also a four-time All-Star and was voted to the All-NBA Third Team in 2013.

Ebanks is currently a member of the Al-Ahli team in the Saudi Professional League.

Huggins is currently the head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers. He has been with the program since 2007, and during that time has compiled a record of 338–196 (.633).

Huggins played point guard for the Ohio Buckeyes from 1972-1973 before embarking on a coaching career. His first coaching job was as an assistant for the West Virginia Mountaineers under Don Haskins from 1977-1978.

Huggins then had a three-year stint at UCF as an assistant from 1983-1984. He was hired as the head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers in 2007. Huggins has led the Mountaineers to two NCAA Tournament appearances (2013, 2014) and two Big 12 regular season championships (2013, 2014).

Huggins has a salary of $3.575 million annually. Huggins was born on September 21, 1953, in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Kevin Jones was a successful high school player in Mount Vernon, New York, and was drafted by the Canton Charge in the 2012 NBA Development League Draft.

Jones played in the NBA Development League for two seasons before signing with Baskonia in 2017. Jones is a power forward who is known for his strong rebounding and shot-blocking skills.

Jones is currently a key player for Baskonia, who are competing in the EuroLeague. Jones has won several awards during his playing career, including the 2017 Spanish Basket League MVP. At 6'9" and 255 pounds, Kevin Jones is a physical force on the court.

Jones consistently produces excellent numbers in the D-League, and he's looking to make an impact in the NBA. Jones is a versatile player who can play both inside and out, and he's not afraid of a physical challenge. Jones is a proven scorer, and he's a good passer as well.

Jones is looking to make an impact with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the upcoming season. Jones is a hard worker, and he's always looking to improve his game. 

Jones is a longshot to make the NBA, but he's working hard to make it big time. Jones has a lot of upside and he's certainly worth watching in the upcoming season.

Hot Rod Hundley was a point guard and shooting guard who played in the NBA for the Cincinnati Royals and Philadelphia 76ers between 1957 and 1963. He was drafted first overall by the Royals in 1957 and is best known for his time with the 76ers, where he won an NBA championship in 1983.

Hundley is a six-time All-Star and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1984. He died on March 27, 2015, at the age of 80. 

Hundley was a standout player at West Virginia and was drafted by the Lakers in the second round of the 1957 NBA draft. Hundley was a versatile player who was able to play both point guard and shooting guard.

Hundley was a three-time All-Star and was named the NBA's Most Valuable Player in 1961. Hundley played for the Lakers for nine seasons and helped the team win two NBA championships. Hundley retired from the NBA in 1968 and later became a coach.

Joe Alexander was selected 8th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2008 NBA Draft. Alexander has played for the Milwaukee Bucks since 2008. Alexander is a power forward who averaged 9.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in 2008-09.

Alexander's shooting percentage decreased in 2009-10, but he still averaged 13.9 points and 5.5 rebounds. Alexander is a free agent and is expected to be a key player for the Bucks in the 2010-11 season. Joe Alexander was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and is American / Israeli.

Joe Alexander is 6'8" and 220 pounds. Joe Alexander is a very versatile player, and he is expected to continue to be a key player for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2010-11 season. Joe Alexander is a 6'9" center from the United States who has played in the Israeli League and the EuroLeague.

Alexander was drafted in the first round (20th overall) by the Chicago Bulls in the 2010 NBA Draft. 

Alexander has played for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Chicago Bulls, Texas Legends, Krasnye Krylya Samara, Santa Cruz Warriors, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Dinamo Sassari in the NBA and has also played in the Israeli League and the EuroLeague.

Alexander has appeared in over 220 games in the NBA and has averaged 4.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Alexander is a member of the United States Men's National Team and has played in over 30 games for the USA. 

Alexander is a member of the Israeli National Team and has played in over 50 games for the Israeli National Team. Alexander is currently playing for the Beşiktaş team in the Turkish League.

Fred Schaus was born on June 30, 1925 in Newark, Ohio. Schaus attended high school in Newark, Ohio and played college basketball for West Virginia. Schaus was drafted by the Fort Wayne Pistons in the 1949 NBA draft and spent four seasons with the team.

Schaus then spent two seasons with the Baltimore Bullets before rejoining the Pistons for the 1953–54 season. Schaus retired from pro basketball in 1954 and settled in Morgantown, West Virginia. Fred Schaus passed away on February 10, 2010 at the age of 84.

Fred Schaus is a successful basketball coach and executive who has spent most of his career with the Lakers. Schaus led the Lakers to four NBA championships in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He also served as the team's general manager for a period of time.

Schaus is a two-time Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee. He is also a member of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.

Lowes Moore was born in Plymouth, North Carolina in 1957. Moore played high school basketball at Mount Vernon in Mount Vernon, New York. Moore attended West Virginia University and played for the Mountaineers from 1976 to 1980.

Moore was drafted by the New Jersey Nets in the 1980 NBA draft and played for the team from 1980 to 1992. Moore is remembered for his point guard play and is sixth on the Nets' all-time assists list. Moore retired from playing in 1992 and now works as a coach.

Moore has three daughters and one son. Moore was inducted into the West Virginia University Hall of Fame in 2002. 

Moore is a member of the West Virginia Mountaineers Hall of Fame and the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame. Lowe's Moore played collegiately for the Albany Patroons and was a key player on their 1985 championship team.

Moore was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 3rd round of the 1982 NBA Draft. Moore spent three seasons with the Cavaliers before being traded to the San Diego Clippers in 1983.

 Moore played with the Clippers until 1985, when he was traded to the Golden Apples. Moore spent two seasons with the Golden Apples before being traded to the Westchester Golden Apples.

Moore spent the final season of his career with the Westchester Golden Apples. Moore finished his career with the record of 1,248 games played and 1,353 points scored. 

Moore was a four-time All-Star and was a member of the Utah Jazz's 1995 championship team. Moore is currently the head coach of the Albany Patroons.

Jaysean Paige was born on July 30, 1994 in Jamestown, New York. He played high school basketball at Jamestown. He played college basketball at Southern Idaho and Moberly Area CC before transferring to West Virginia.

He was undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft but has played in the NBA since 2016. Paige is a point guard who has played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and Miami Heat. 

He was named to the 2018 NBA All-Rookie Second Team and was named to the 2019 NBA All-Star Game but did not play due to injury.

Paige has won two NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors and one with the Miami Heat. He is married to actress and model Chanel Iman and they have one daughter. Paige is a Puerto Rican national and has represented his country in international basketball competitions.

Alex Ruoff was born on August 29, 1986 in Hamilton, Ohio. Ruoff attended high school at Central (Brooksville, Florida) and played college basketball at West Virginia.

Ruoff was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in the 2009 NBA draft but did not sign with the team. Ruoff played professionally in the NBA for the Phoenix Suns, Charlotte Hornets, and Orlando Magic from 2009 to 2022.

Ruoff is a shooting guard and small forward. Ruoff has averaged 6.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in his career. Ruoff is married and has two children. Ruoff is a member of the American Basketball Association (ABA) and the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Ruoff is a two-time ABA All-Star and one-time PBA All-Star. Alex Ruoff is a long-time member of the Liège basketball team. 

He started playing for the team in 2009 and has since then been a mainstay on the roster. Ruoff has been a consistent player for Liège, appearing in over 100 games over the course of the last three seasons.

He has averaged 11.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game during that time. Ruoff is a versatile player, capable of playing both the center and power forward positions. 

He is also a good shooter, able to score from anywhere on the court. Ruoff is a strong defender and has been a key player in Liège's recent success. He is a hard worker and is always looking to improve his game.

Ruoff is a key member of the Belgian national team, having represented his country at various tournaments over the past few years. He is expected to be a mainstay on the Liège roster for the foreseeable future.

13. Wil Robinson

Wil Robinson was born on December 25, 1949 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He attended high school at Laurel Highlands in North Union Township, Pennsylvania.

Robinson then went on to study at West Virginia, where he played football and basketball for the Mountaineers. After graduating from WVU, Robinson embarked on a football career in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles (1974–1979) and the San Francisco 49ers (1980).

He also played for the Cleveland Browns (1981), the Los Angeles Rams (1982), and the Cincinnati Bengals (1983). 

After his football career ended, Robinson began a coaching career with the Eagles (1989–1991), the 49ers (1992), and the Bengals (1995). Robinson has also been a television commentator and analyst for NFL games.

Robinson is also a motivational speaker. In 2004, Robinson was inducted into the Philadelphia Eagles' Hall of Fame.

Staten attended high school at Dayton and played for Thurgood Marshall before transferring to Oak Hill Academy. Staten played college basketball for Dayton before transferring to West Virginia.

Staten is a point guard and was drafted in the second round of the 2016 NBA draft by the Brooklyn Nets. Staten has appeared in 31 games for the Brooklyn Nets, averaging 5.2 points and 1.8 assists.

Staten is a free agent and is expected to sign with another team in the near future. Staten was undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft, but has been playing in the NBA since 2015. He has represented Finland in international play, winning a Finnish League Foreign MVP in 2017.

Darryl Bryant is an American point guard and shooting guard currently playing in the NBA. Bryant played college basketball for West Virginia before being drafted by the 2012 NBA draft but not signing with an NBA team.

After playing in the D-League for a year, Bryant signed with the German club Fürstenfeld in the 2013–2014 season. He then moved to the Italian club Virtus Bologna in 2015 before returning to Fürstenfeld in the 2016–2017 season.

He has also played for the Panthers Fürstenfeld and the Brooklyn Nets. Bryant is a two-time D-League All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Development League Second Team in 2016. He is a member of the United States national team and played in the 2016 Olympics.

In the 1983 NBA draft, the Indiana Pacers selected Jones with the 49th overall pick. As a point guard and shooting guard, Jones played for the Pacers for six seasons. In 1988, Jones was traded to the New York Knicks.

He played for the Knicks for two seasons before retiring in 1991. Jones has since served as an NBA commentator and coach. Greg Jones is a two-time All-Star and three-time All-NBA selection. Greg Jones played collegiately at Wisconsin and was an All-American in 1984.

He played in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks before retiring in 1997. Jones is a three-time First-team All-Atlantic 10 honoree and was the CBA Rookie of the Year in 1984. 

Jones is currently an assistant coach at Division III Colby College. Jones has been involved in coaching since retiring from the NBA.

He has been an assistant coach at the collegiate level, most notably at Colby College. Jones is a native of Evansville, Indiana. Jones is married and has two children.

Mike Gansey is the Cleveland Cavaliers' General Manager. He was born in 1982 and played college basketball at St. Bonaventure. He was undrafted but played in the NBA for 6 seasons, most notably with the Orlando Magic.

He was named the GM of the Cavs in May 2014. In his role, he oversees all aspects of the Cavaliers' basketball operations. He has a background in player personnel and scouting. He is credited with helping to rebuild the Magic into a perennial playoff team.

Everhart played college football at Virginia Tech from 1981 to 1985. As a player, Everhart was a part of the Hokies' 1985 national championship team. After his playing career was over, Everhart went on to work as an assistant coach at various schools, including Georgia Tech and Tulane.

Byrd was a standout player at Hinton High School in Lynch, Kentucky, and played at West Virginia from 1944-48. Byrd coached at Hinton High School from 1953-1955, and then at Morgantown High School from 1955-1972.

Byrd was a four-time All-American and a consensus first-team selection in 1948. Byrd was inducted into the West Virginia University Hall of Fame in 1982. Byrd was a member of the United States Olympic Basketball team that won the gold medal at the 1948 Games in London.

Byrd was also a member of the United States national team that finished second at the 1948 World Championship. 

Byrd was named the National Coach of the Year in 1954. Byrd retired from coaching in 1972, and died in 2022 at the age of 94. Byrd served as the Assistant AD for Miami Dade North Campus from 1962-1966.

Byrd then served as the Assistant AD for Miami Dade South Campus from 1969-1972. Byrd served as the Executive Director of the Atlantic 10 Conference from 1984-1992. 

Byrd has been honored with several awards, including being named a First-Team All-American by Helms in 1947. Byrd currently resides in Miami, Florida.

Deniz Kılıçlı is a Turkish professional basketball player who plays for Anadolu Efes of the Turkish Basketball League. Kılıçlı played college basketball for West Virginia, where he was an All-American in 2013.

Deniz Kılıçlı was born in the town of İskenderun in the province of Mersin on December 9, 1993. He started playing basketball at the age of six and was spotted by scouts from Anadolu Efes while playing in a youth tournament. 

He made his debut with Anadolu Efes in the 2013–14 season and quickly established himself as one of the top young players in the Turkish League.

In the 2015–16 season, he led Anadolu Efes to their first Turkish Cup title, scoring 24 points in the final against Kayseri Erciyesspor. Kılıçlı was loaned to Istanbul BB in the 2016–17 season, helping them to win the Turkish League championship. 

He returned to Anadolu Efes for the 2017–18 season and helped the team to win the Turkish Cup again. In the 2018–19 season, Kılıçlı helped Anadolu Efes to win the Turkish League and Turkish Cup.

In the 2019–20 season, he was loaned to Trabzonspor and helped them to win the Turkish League championship. Kılıçlı returned to Anadolu Efes for the 2020–21 season and is currently playing in the Turkish League with them.
