Saheed Adebayo Akinfenwa is a striker who has played for clubs in England and Lithuania. He began his career at Watford before joining Barry Town in 2003.

After brief spells with FK Atlantas and Wolverhampton Wanderers, he signed for AFC Wimbledon in 2015 where he still plays today. 

Akinfenwa has scored over 100 goals during his career, including 49 league goals for AFC Wimbledon which makes him the club's all-time leading scorer.

He has represented England at under-21 level and made one appearance for the senior team, coming on as a substitute against Sweden in November 2013.

Ade Azeez is a forward who has played for Charlton Athletic and Welling United in the English Football League. In September 2015, he was substituted into AFC Wimbledon's match against Plymouth Argyle as a substitute.

Steve Cooper is a 67-year-old English professional footballer who plays as a forward. Cooper started his career with local side Stourbridge Town before moving to the then-Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1976.

Ian Twitchin was a right back and midfielder for Middlesbrough and England. He was born in Teignmouth, England and died in December 2017. Twitchin played for Middlesbrough from 1970 to 1979 and for England from 1980 to 1984.

He won the League Cup with Middlesbrough in 1972 and the European Cup with Liverpool in 1984. He was named Player of the Year in both 1972 and 1984. He was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002. Twitchin was known for his versatility and strong defensive play.

Middlesbrough named their training ground after Twitchin in 2017. He was awarded an honorary degree from Teignmouth University in 2018.

Tommy Northcott was born on 5 December 1931 in Torquay, England. Northcott played football as a striker for several clubs in the 1950s and 1960s, notably Torquay United and Plymouth Argyle.

He made more than 250 appearances in the English Football League, and won the championship with Plymouth Argyle in 1967. Northcott also played for the England national team, making his debut in 1955.

He played at the 1958 World Cup and the 1966 World Cup. Northcott retired from football in 1973, after playing for Torquay United and Exeter City. Northcott died on 26 September 2008 in Torquay, England, aged 76.

He was married to Margaret and had two children. Northcott was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2003. Northcott was a popular figure in the town of Torquay, where he was known as "Mr Torquay".

Don Mills passed away in 1994 at the age of 67-68. Mills began his career with Queens Park Rangers in the 1946-1951 season. He then spent two seasons with Torquay United on loan before joining Cardiff City in the 1951-1952 season.

Mills remained with Cardiff for six seasons before joining Leeds United in the 1962-1963 season. Mills played a total of 503 club matches over the course of his career. He was capped once for the England national team in a 1951 friendly match against Spain.

Mills retired from professional football in the 1962-1963 season. After his retirement, Mills worked as a coach for Torquay United. Mills died in December 2001 at the age of 76. Mills is considered to be one of the greatest midfielders in the history of English football.

40. Sammy Collins

Sammy Collins was an English singer, songwriter, and actor. He is best known for his 1958 song "I'm Not in Love", which reached number one in the UK and sold over one million copies.

Collins also had a successful solo career, and sang in both English and French. He was a regular on British TV shows in the 1960s and 1970s, and appeared in several films. Collins was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1997, and died a year later.

He was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2002. Collins was born in Bristol in 1923, and began his career in the RAF during World War II. He first came to prominence in the early 1950s, when he formed the jazz group The Five Keys with pianist Ronnie Scott.

Bedeau has represented England at under-19, under-21, and senior level. In May 2018, Bedeau announced his retirement from professional football. Bedeau is a fan favourite for his attacking style of play. He is currently a coach for the Brighton United youth team. Bedeau is married and has two children.

Geoff Cox was born in Nuneaton, England in 1934. Cox began his career with Nuneaton as a winger, but later moved to inside forward. Cox played for Aston Villa, Fulham, and Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League.

He is best known for his roles in the television series Midsomer Murders and Z-Cars. Shaw died in Middlesbrough, England on 11 November 1991 at the age of 67. Ron Shaw was a winger who played for Harrow Borough and Torquay United.

Shaw was born in 1924 and retired in 1958. Shaw won a total of 384 caps for England and scored 99 goals. Shaw was a highly-rated player during his playing career and was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002.

Dennis Lewis was born in Treherbert, Wales in 1925. He died in 1996 in Torquay, England. Dennis Lewis was a Welsh poet and novelist. He wrote about the Welsh mining towns and their people.

Some of his books include The Miner's Wife, The Glass Menagerie, and The Rainbow. He was a recipient of the Wales Book of the Year Award and the prestigious Cymru Award. Dennis Lewis is widely considered one of the most important Welsh writers of the 20th century.

Dennis Lewis started his career at Swansea Town. After two seasons at Swansea, Lewis signed for Torquay United. Lewis was a regular for Torquay and helped the team to promotion to the Football League in 1951. Lewis was a key player for Torquay in their first season in the Football League and the team finished in ninth place.

Lewis was part of the Torquay side that reached the FA Cup semi-finals in 1954. Lewis left Torquay in 1959 and moved to Portsmouth. Lewis made over 440 appearances for Torquay and was a key part of the team that won promotion to the Football League in 1951. 

Lewis was a regular for Portsmouth in the Football League and helped the club to win the FA Cup in 1963.

Dennis Lewis retired from playing in 1965.

Eifion Williams is a Welsh international footballer who plays as a striker or winger. Williams started his career at Bangor City before joining Swansea City in 1999.

He spent six seasons with the club, winning the Welsh Cup twice and the League Cup once. Williams joined Southampton in 2006 and helped the club win the League Cup and the FA Cup.

He left the club in 2011 and joined Stoke City. Williams joined Fulham in January 2012 and spent two seasons with the club. He left Fulham in May 2014 and joined Championship side Hull City.

Williams joined Bournemouth in January 2016 and helped the club win the Championship title. He left Bournemouth in May 2017 and joined Cardiff City. Williams has represented Wales at international level, making his debut in 1998.

He has played 96 international matches and scored 34 goals. Williams is the father of twin daughters and has been married to his wife, Hayley, for 10 years. Williams was diagnosed with testicular cancer in May 2017 but successfully underwent surgery and recovered.

Williams is a ambassador for the Welsh Cancer Society.
