San Lorenzo de Almagro is one of the most iconic sports clubs in Argentina. Founded in 1908, it is best known for its football team that plays in the Primera División, the first tier of the Argentinian football league system.

Alberto Acosta is a former Argentine striker who played for San Lorenzo and Boca Juniors. Acosta was born in Arocena in 1966 and started playing football at the age of 9 for Julio Arocena.

Gorosito started his career with River Plate before moving to San Lorenzo. Gorosito represented Argentina at international level, appearing for the country in the 1990 FIFA World Cup and the 1994 FIFA World Cup.

Rodolfo Fischer is considered one of the greats of Argentine football and his death will be long remembered. His son, Fabian Fischer, is also a professional footballer and currently plays for Lanús.

Olguín is currently a coach at Independiente. Olguín is married and has two children. Jorge Olguín passed away on 18 May 2018 at the age of 70.

Luis Monti was born in Buenos Aires in 1901 and began his career with Huracán. He spent the majority of his career with San Lorenzo, playing 202 games over the course of nine seasons.

Monti was a member of the Argentina national team between 1924 and 1931, and won 16 caps. He retired from football in 1939, after playing for Juventus. Monti died in 1983 at the age of 82.

Monti played as a defender for several clubs before being appointed manager of Juventus in the early 1940s. Monti led Juventus to titles in both the Italian Serie A and the Coppa Italia during his tenure.

Monti also managed Atalanta and Vigevano during his career, but his most successful period was with Varese. Monti left Varese in 1947 to take over at Huracán, but his time at the club was short-lived. Monti next moved to Pisa, where he led the Tuscan side to promotion to Serie A.

Monti retired from management in 1950 after guiding Pisa to consecutive fourth-place finishes in Serie A. Monti was voted Italian Footballer of the Year in 1947 and 1948. 

Monti was later appointed general manager of the Italian national team, but he resigned after just four months in the role.

Monti died in 1988 at the age of 83.

Buttice was a goalkeeper who played for Los Andes in Argentina during the 1960s and 1970s. He made his senior debut in 1964 and went on to make over 70 appearances for the club.

Buttice also represented his country at international level, appearing in five FIFA World Cup qualifiers and one final tournament. Buttice passed away in August 2018 at the age of 75.

Juan Carlos Lorenzo was a midfielder and striker who played for several teams in Argentina during the 1940s and 1950s. He captained Boca Juniors during the late 1950s and early 1960s.
