Penn State University Hockey is one of the premier college hockey programs in the United States. Founded in 1971, the program has earned a reputation for excellence both on and off the ice. The Nittany Lions have won two Big Ten regular season titles and four Big Ten Tournament titles in their history.

The team has also made numerous appearances in the NCAA tournament, making it to the Frozen Four three times and earning a berth in the national championship game in 2018. With a proud tradition of success, Penn State is a perennial contender in the college hockey landscape.

Alex Limoges was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on March 7th 1995. 

At just 27 years old, Alex is one of the younger players in the NHL and has already won championships with both Team USA and HC Sochi of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

Known for his size and strength down low, Limoges is a potent offensive force who can score goals at any time. With a long career ahead of him, Alex Limoges will continue to be an impact player at the highest level of hockey possible. 

Alex Limoges is a left-handed shooter who has spent the majority of his career playing in the NHL for Winnipeg Jets.

He was undrafted, but signed with Manitoba Moose as an amateur free agent in 2021. In his first full season with the team, he led them to their first Calder Cup championship and was named MVP of the playoffs. 

He continued to be a key player for Manitoba over the next few seasons and helped lead them back to the Calder Cup finals in 2024 before they were once again victorious against Springfield Falcons.

2. Brandon Biro

Brandon Biro is a left wing player for the Calgary Flames. He was drafted by the Flames in the 2nd round, 45th overall of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. 

Brandon made his professional debut with the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League in 2015-16 and recorded 43 points (24 goals, 19 assists) in 67 games before being called up to Calgary for their playoff run.

In 2017-18, he registered 33 points (15 goals, 18 assists) in 82 games as part of a Flames team that reached the Stanley Cup Finals. 

Brandon has been playing internationally since 2016 with Team Canada where he collected 3 gold medals at under 20 tournaments including World Juniors and World Championship Brandon Biro is a left-handed shooter who currently plays for the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL.

He was drafted by the Rochester Americans in the 2020 NHL Draft, but did not sign with them and instead opted to play college hockey at Boston College. 

Brandon has spent most of his professional career playing in the AHL with the Rochester Americans, where he's been a key player on their team over the past two seasons. 

In 2018–19, he scored 25 goals and 52 points in 68 games played, helping lead them to an appearance in the Calder Cup Finals.

Brandon is considered one of Canada's top prospects and could potentially make an impact at some point during his pro career. He will be looking to continue this strong form next season when he joins up with Buffalo once again.

Nate Sucese was born on July 12, 1996 in Fairport, New York. He is 5' 9" tall and weighs 174 pounds. He is a left wing player. Sucese has played for the Syracuse Crunch, Manitoba Moose, and Hartford Wolf Pack in the American Hockey League (AHL).

He has also played for the Syracuse Stars of the ECHL. Sucese has three goals and six assists in 39 games played in the AHL. He has one goal and one assist in nine games played in the ECHL. Sucese is signed to a three-year contract with the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Sucese was drafted by the Syracuse Crunch in the fifth round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Nate Sucese is a left winger who was drafted by the Chicago Wolves in the 2020 NHL Draft but has not yet made an appearance in the league.

Guy Gadowsky is the current head coach of Penn State and has a record of 178–149–25 (.541). Guy Gadowsky played hockey for Colorado College from 1984 to 1989 and then played for San Diego Gulls from 1990 to 1995.

Guy Gadowsky was on the Canadian National Team from 1992 to 1994. Guy Gadowsky was head coach of the Straubing EHC from 1994 to 1995. Guy Gadowsky was hired as the head coach of Penn State in December of 2014.

David Goodwin was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 27, 1992. David is a center who shoots left. David has played for the Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Minnesota Timberwolves in his career.

David has averaged 7.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in his career. David was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2016. David is a three-time All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Third Team in 2017.

David signed with the Atlanta Hawks as a free agent in 2018. David is married to his high school sweetheart, Kaitlyn Goodwin. David has two children, a daughter and a son. David Goodwin is a professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the Belfast Giants of the EIHL.

Goodwin was undrafted, but played college hockey at Mora IK in Sweden. Goodwin has played for several teams in the Finnish Liiga, including SaiPa and Cracovia Krakow. 

Goodwin made his professional debut with the Giants in the 2017–18 season. Goodwin has represented Sweden at the under-20, under-18, and under-16 levels.

Brett Murray is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing for the Rochester Americans of the AHL. Murray was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the fourth round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

He made his NHL debut with the Sabres in 2017. Murray scored his first NHL goal in a 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on December 2, 2017. 

Murray was traded to the Rochester Americans in February 2019. Murray has also played international hockey for Canada.

Liam Folkes is a freshman defenseman for the Penn State Nittany Lions men's ice hockey program. Folkes was a first-team all-state selection as a defenseman for his high school, the Corpus Christi Ice Rays.

Folkes played for the Penn State Icers men's ice hockey program at the ACHA Division I level before joining the Penn State Nittany Lions men's ice hockey program in the 2012–13 season. 

Folkes has appeared in all 22 games for the Nittany Lions this season, recording one goal and three assists.

Folkes was a member of the United States men's national ice hockey team at the 2017 IIHF World Championship. 

Folkes will represent the United States at the IIHF World Championship in Denmark in May. Folkes is a native of Corpus Christi, Texas. Folkes will graduate from Penn State in May with a degree in business marketing.

Charlene Morett is the head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions field hockey team. She has been with the program since 2011. Morett played field hockey at Penn State and led the team to a national championship in 1978.

She also played for the United States National Team. Morett has a background in physical education and has been teaching field hockey at Penn State for over 20 years. The Nittany Lions are looking to improve upon their 11-7 record this season.

Morett is determined to get the team back to the NCAA tournament. Morett is a two-time winner of the Ernie Neuman Award, which is given to the nation's top field hockey coach. Charlene Morett was born on March 10, 1959 in Washington, D.C. She was a goalkeeper on the 1984 U.S.

Olympic women's field hockey team that competed in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Morett played her club hockey for the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Firebirds. She was inducted into the National Field Hockey Hall of Fame in 2005. Morett has since retired from playing field hockey.

She currently works as a television commentator for the Women's National Team. Charlene Morett was married to former U.S. international defender Jeff Morett from 1984 until his death in 2003. In 2005, Charlene Morett was named the women's head soccer coach at the University of Maryland.

Kiara Zanon is a forward for Penn State. She was born on August 22, 2002 in Fairport, New York. She is 5'5" and weighs 145 pounds. Zanon plays left-handed.

She has scored 71 goals and added 54 assists for 129 points in her collegiate career. She was a first-team All-American in her freshman year and a second-team selection in her sophomore year.

Zanon was named Big Ten Player of the Year in her junior year. She led Penn State to the NCAA Women's College Cup in her senior year. Zanon is also a two-time WCHA Player of the Year and a three-time All-American.

Kiara Zanon is a professional American soccer player who currently plays for the United States women's national team. Zanon has represented the United States at the World U18 Championship and the CONCACAF Women's Championship.

She has also played for clubs in the United States, Sweden, and France. Zanon was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 2000. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she played for the UNC Tar Heels women's soccer team.

Zanon was drafted by the Washington Spirit in the 2017 NWSL College Draft. She made her professional debut for the Spirit on August 25, 2017. 

Zanon was named to the United States women's national team for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. She played in all three of the United States' group matches at the tournament.

Zanon was named to the United States women's national team for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
