Is Barcelona Going To Sell Ter Stegen

Barcelona confirmed that goalkeeper Ter Stegen will not be sold this summer and the club is looking for new players to reinforce its squad. The Catalan giants have been linked with a move for Arsenal’s Wojciech Szczesny, but are also considering other goalkeepers such as Real Madrid’s Keylor Navas and Atletico Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois.

Barca released statements from both Ter Stegen and his agent denying any negotiations had taken place between the two sides over a transfer away from Catalunya in 2018/19 season. With no sign of an agreement being reached between the player and club, it appears he will remain at Camp Nou until at least 2021/22 campaign after signing a contract extension last year which runs until 2023/24 season.

This news comes shortly after Luis Enrique revealed he was open to selling Neymar following speculation linking him with PSG in recent months.

Is Barcelona Going To Sell Ter Stegen?

Barcelona confirmed that Ter Stegen will not be sold and will continue to play for the club. This comes after reports in Germany said Bayern Munich were leading the race for his signature, but Barca have now made it clear they want to keep him at the Nou Camp.

The 27-year-old has been a key part of Ernesto Valverde’s side since joining from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2015 and is one of Europe’s top goalkeepers. He made 43 appearances this season as Barcelona finished second in La Liga, behind Real Madrid on goal difference, with Ter Stegen conceding just 18 goals all season long..

It remains to be seen whether he will stay with Barca next season or move on – but either way, he is sure to add quality depth to their squad.

Ter Stegen will not be sold

It’s been reported that Barcelona will not be selling Ter Stegen this summer, paving the way for him to join up with Louis van Gaal at Manchester United.

The report comes after rumours circulated earlier in the year that Barcelona were keen on signing the goalkeeper from La Liga side Real Madrid. Ter Stegen has long been admired by European clubs and was linked with a move to Bayern Munich last season before eventually joining Barcelona in 2016.

He is currently first-choice keeper for Barcelona and has played an important role in their recent successes, including winning both the Copa Del Rey and Spanish Super Cup this season. Manchester United are now said to be leading the race for his signature as they look to reinforce their goalkeeping options ahead of next season’s Premier League campaign.

Ter Stegen is not for sale

Barcelona is not selling Ter Stegen and the reports of him being traded are false. The goalkeeper has a contract with the team until 2020 and he is important to their plans for the future.

There have been no negotiations between Barcelona and any other clubs about Ter Stegen’s sale, so it is likely that this rumor is just speculations. Ter Stegen has shown his quality in recent years, netting 43 goals in 107 appearances for Barcelona since 2013/14 season which shows his importance to the club on and off the pitch.

So far this season, Ter Stegen has kept five clean sheets in six La Liga matches as Barca sit atop table with 28 points from 10 games.

The club confirmed this

Barcelona confirmed that Ter Stegen is not for sale and the club wishes him all the best in his future career. The reports of an imminent transfer to FC Bayern Munich were denied by both clubs, with Barca stating they have no intention of selling their goalkeeper this season.

German publication Bild has since reported that Ter Stegen will sign a new long-term contract with Barcelona at the end of this campaign which would keep him at the club until 2022. Despite being linked with several top European clubs, including Real Madrid and Manchester City, it appears as though Ter Stegen has chosen to stay put in Spain – signalling his commitment to Barcelona ahead of next season’s Champions League campaign.

With Joe Hart ageing rapidly and Marc-Andre ter Stegen firmly established as first choice for La Liga sideBarcelona, there is speculation linking England national team manager Gareth Southgate with a potential move for the 25-year old stopper in January 2018.

Did Barcelona register their new players?

It’s now been a few days since the transfer window in Spain closed, and there hasn’t been an official announcement from Barcelona yet about who they’ve signed. It seems as though they may have gone ahead and done it without registering them with FIFA. This could lead to some pretty big fines if they get caught, so be sure to check back soon.

La Liga Financial Regulations

The financial regulations that were put in place last year by the La Liga president, Javier Tebas, freed up funding for clubs to be able to sign new players. The activation of this new rule on Friday means that all teams are now allowed to register new players and begin preparations for the upcoming season.

Freed Up Funding

Clubs were given a €200 million budget increase last year which was used to help them sign some of Europe’s top talent. This extra money has meant that many big name stars have recently moved from other leagues into Spain, including Neymar and Eden Hazard from France and Belgium respectively.

Activated On Friday

This regulation became effective on July 1st 2017 after being ratified by La Liga earlier in the week. It allows all teams access to their full squad list at any point during the summer transfer window without fear of punishment or fines from governing body UEFA.

To Recap

Barcelona are currently looking for a new goalkeeper, with rumours circulating that they may sell Ter Stegen. This would leave Manchester United as the only club in contention to sign him.

However, it’s still unclear if Barcelona will actually sell Ter Stegen and he could still move to another club before this happens.
