The answer to this question starts with the season that Marsh had in 2017. He hit .243/.291/.431 with 33 home runs and 101 RBI in 131 games for Los Angeles. However, he was also caught stealing 18 times which led to his being traded at the trade deadline by the Angels.
Since then, Marsh has played for Cleveland and Arizona where he’s been much more successful. In 122 games for Cleveland, he’s hitting .270/.329/.544 with 25 home runs and 84 RBI. And in 68 games for Arizona, he’s hitting .328/.439/.712 with 14 home runs and 47 RBI. This suggests that either team who acquires him would be getting an above-average player who is currently performing at a high level.
