The Charleston RiverDogs have been a part of the South Carolina baseball scene since 1997, where they have proudly represented Charleston and the surrounding communities in the Minor League Baseball circuit.

From their home at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park, the RiverDogs strive to provide an enjoyable, family-friendly atmosphere for fans of all ages. As the Single-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, the RiverDogs are dedicated to helping aspiring young players develop their skills and reach the Major Leagues.

1. Logan Allen

Cleveland Guardians

Logan Allen is a 25-year-old pitcher for the Colorado Rockies. He was drafted by the Rockies in the first round of the 2015 MLB draft, and made his MLB debut in 2018.

Allen has primarily been used as a starter, but he also has experience as a reliever. In 2019, Allen had an outstanding season with the Rockies, posting a 2.27 ERA and 178 strikeouts over 156 innings pitched.

As one of the youngest pitchers in baseball, Allen is still looking to improve his game and develop further into an elite pitcher in Major League Baseball Logan Allen was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft.

Allen has excelled at both pitching and batting throughout his young career, posting a record of 5-10 with an ERA of 5.89 and striking out 68 batters in 140 innings pitched between two teams this season alone. 

With his impressive stats, it is no surprise that he has been called up to the major leagues for a short stint with Cleveland Indians / Guardians earlier this year before being traded to Baltimore Orioles shortly after.

As one of baseball's most promising prospects, Logan Allen will continue to develop and work hard on becoming one of America's top pitchers or hitters in years to come.

2. Brock Jones

Brock Jones was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft. He made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast League Rays and hit .324 with 4 home runs and 36 RBIs in 52 games.

In 2019, he played for both the Princeton Royals (A) and Bowling Green Hot Rods (AA), posting a combined batting average of .269 with 5 home runs and 38 RBIs between both levels. 

He is currently playing for Durham Bulls (AAA) where he has posted a batting average of .293 with 2 home runs and 18 RBIs through 33 games this season.

Brock is considered to have a strong toolbox including excellent power potential as well as solid defensive skills at both outfield positions Jones was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 3rd round of the 2009 amateur draft. 

Jones made his professional debut with the Tri-City ValleyCats in 2010 and hit .282/.371/.536 with 10 home runs and 61 RBIs in 122 games.

He spent most of 2011 with the Lancaster JetHawks, hitting a combined .284/.360/.465 with 16 home runs and 101 RBIs in 133 games. In 2012, Jones played for both Colorado Springs Sky Sox (A) and Corpus Christi Hooks (AA), hitting a combined .296/.366/.

512 with 17 homeairs and 104 RBIs between them before being traded to Fresno during midseason. In 137 games for Fresno this season, he has hit .291/.359/486with 20 HR & 85RBI's as they have clinched their first Pacific Coast League playoff berth since 2008.

3. Dominic Keegan

Dominic Keegan is a 22-year old catcher for the Tampa Bay Rays. Dominic was drafted in the first round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Rays out of Northeastern University.

He made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast League Rays in 2018 and hit .291/.374/.471 with 4 homeruns and 36 RBIs in 57 games. In 2019, he played at Advanced-A Charlotte where he hit .278/.339/.464 with 10 homers and 50 RBIs in 108 games while also leading all minor leaguers in defensive runs saved (53).

Dominic is currently playing for Double-A Montgomery where he's hitting .297/.361/.498 with 7 home runs and 34 RBIs through 44 games this season Dominic Keegan is a pitcher for the Methuen Mountaineers. 

Dominic was drafted in the 4th round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres. He had Tommy John Surgery in March 2017 and missed all of 2018 while rehabbing, but came back strong to have a great 2019 season with Methuen.

Dominic has a fastball that can reach 98 mph as well as an impressive slider and changeup, which he uses to get strikeouts and ground balls alike. 

In 10 innings pitched this season, Keegan has allowed just one run on four hits with nine strikeouts and no walks, earning him First Team All-New England honors from The Boston Globe.

4. Carson Williams

Carson Williams

Williams was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft. Williams is a left-handed pitcher who has a strong fastball and slider.

Williams started his career with the Charleston RiverDogs in 2018. Williams was named the Appalachian League Pitcher of the Year in 2018. Williams is expected to start the 2019 season with the Rays.

Williams was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 3rd round of the 2016 MLB Draft. Williams began his professional career in the Arizona League, where he hit .282 with 4 home runs and 23 RBI in 39 games.

In 2017, Williams played for the Greenville Drive of the South Atlantic League and hit .309 with 7 home runs and 34 RBI in 58 games. In 2018, Williams played for the Salem Red Sox of the Carolina League and hit .314 with 9 home runs and 47 RBI in 76 games.

Williams was called up to the Red Sox in September 2018. He made his MLB debut that month and hit .302 with 1 home run and 4 RBI in 8 games. Williams was designated for assignment on July 31, 2019. Williams was traded to the Atlanta Braves on August 1, 2019.

5. Cole Wilcox

Cole Wilcox

Cole Wilcox is a 23-year-old pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays. Wilcox is a right-handed pitcher and bats and throws right-handed. Wilcox was drafted by the Rays in the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft.

Wilcox made his professional debut in 2018 with the Gulf Coast League Rays. Wilcox was promoted to the Montgomery Biscuits in 2019. Wilcox made his MLB debut with the Rays on July 14, 2019. Wilcox is the first player from the state of Tennessee to make his MLB debut.

Wilcox has a 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA in three games with the Rays. Wilcox is considered a top prospect in the Rays organization. 

Cole Wilcox is a pitcher for the Thunder Bay Giants in the Canadian Baseball League. He was drafted out of high school by the Toronto Blue Jays in the sixth round of the 2016 MLB draft.

He made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Blue Jays in 2018. He was traded to the Thunder Bay Giants in 2019. He has a 4.00 ERA in 14 games with the Giants. 

He is from Nashville, Tennessee. He has a 3.86 ERA in 41 games (34 starts) with the Thunder Bay Giants. He has a 2.79 ERA in 101 career innings. He is a right-handed pitcher.

6. Nick Schnell

Nick Schnell is a center fielder for the Tampa Bay Rays. Schnell was drafted by the Rays in the first round of the 2018 MLB draft. Schnell is a versatile player who can play anywhere in the outfield.

Schnell has been very impressive in his rookie season, leading the Rays in batting average and stolen bases. Schnell is a bright prospect who is only going to get better in the future. Nick Schnell is a pitcher for the Indianapolis Indians.

Nick Schnell is a 6'2" left-handed pitcher who has a fastball that can reach the mid-90s. Schnell was drafted by the Indians in the fourth round of the 2013 MLB Draft. 

Schnell was named to the Midwest League All-Star team in 2018. Schnell has been a part of the Indians' Minor League system since 2012.

Schnell has a 3.81 ERA in 205 innings over three seasons with the Indians. Schnell is looking to improve on his 2018 season, which saw him post a 3.65 ERA in 131 innings.

7. Brandon Wagner

Brandon Wagner is an infielder for the Staten Island FerryHawks. He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 3rd round of the 2015 MLB draft. Brandon Wagner has played in the minors for the Mariners and the Atlanta Braves.

Brandon Wagner played for the Staten Island FerryHawks in the 2017 season. Brandon Wagner has had a successful career in the minors, posting a .293 batting average with 49 home runs and 153 RBI. Brandon Wagner is expected to make an impact with the Staten Island FerryHawks in the 2018 season.
