Kai Sotto is a 20-year-old center for the Adelaide 36ers in the NBL. He was born and raised in the Philippines, but played high school basketball at Ateneo de Manila before enrolling at Arizona State University.

Kai Sotto exhibited impressive talent as a freshman at ASU, averaging 13 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 53% from the field and 43% from three-point range. He declared for the NBA draft after his sophomore season, but was undrafted despite being one of the best players available.

Instead of joining an NBA team immediately, Kai decided to play overseas with several teams in Europe over the past two years. After impressing during his trial stint with Italian side Montepaschi Siena this year, he signed with Adelaide on July 1st 2020.

Kai has already made an immediate impact for Adelaide: he averaged 14 points and 12 rebounds per game during their preseason campaign (which ended prematurely due to injuries), earning him selection to represent Australia at this year's FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournament in Uruguay next month.

With some excellent performances behind him and plenty of potential still remaining, there's no doubt that Kai Sotto is destined for stardom - whether it be in the NBA or overseas where he can truly show off his skills.
