The Wichita State Shockers men’s basketball team is a powerhouse in the NCAA Division I, representing Wichita State University with talent, skill, and heart. Jabali was drafted 44th overall by the New York Knicks in the 1968 NBA draft. He played for the team from 1968 to 1975. Jabali is best known for his time with the Washington Capitals, where he averaged 14 points per game over four seasons (1969-71).

Jabali later played for the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs before retiring in 1982. Jabali was a powerful scorer in the ABA and helped lead Oakland to two championships. He also starred for Indiana, where he won an ABA title and was an All-Star multiple times.

Jabali then had a successful career in the NBA with Denver, San Diego, and Indiana again before ending it with Chicago in 1975. Warren Jabali is now considered one of the most underrated players from the ABA era due to his lack of recognition outside of basketball circles.

Gaylon Nickerson was born in 1969 and raised in Osceola, Arkansas. Gaylon played college basketball at Wichita State before being drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in 1994.

He spent four seasons with the Hawks before joining the Milwaukee Bucks for two more years. In 2001, he signed with the Golden State Warriors and remained there until 2003 when he retired due to injury.

After his retirement from playing, Gaylon worked as a color commentator for ESPN's coverage of NBA games until 2016 when he took a job as an assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks under Rick Carlisle.

Gaylon Nickerson had a successful NBA career playing for the Washington Bullets, Oklahoma City Cavalry and Pallacanestro Virtus Roma. Gaylon was known as one of the most versatile players in the league being able to play both forward positions.

He won two scoring titles during his time in the NBA and also made an appearance in three consecutive All-Star games. After retiring from professional basketball Gaylon became involved with coaching where he is currently head coach of Mansfield Hawks in England's Premier League 2 division.

Shamet has been a consistent scorer in the NBA and has averaged 14.8 points per game in his four seasons. The 25-year-old is from Kansas City, Missouri and played high school basketball at Park Hill.

Shamet went to Wichita State and played alongside Trae Young, who helped him develop his skills. The 6'4'' shooting guard was drafted 26th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2018 NBA draft. In his rookie season, Shamet averaged 10.4 points and 3.4 assists per game.

In his sophomore season, Shamet averaged 16.2 points and 4.7 assists per game. In his third season, Shamet averaged 17.5 points and 4.7 assists per game. 

In his fourth season, Shamet averaged 14.8 points and 4.7 assists per game. Landry Shamet is a young player who is developing his game and has a lot of potential.

Shamet was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft. Shamet played college basketball at the University of Kansas. 

Shamet has appeared in 26 games for the 76ers this season, averaging 5.8 points and 2.2 rebounds. Shamet is a versatile player who can play both guard positions. Shamet is expected to be a key player for the Sixers in the future.

Xavier McDaniel was a highly successful small forward / power forward in the NBA. McDaniel was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1985 NBA draft and played for them until 1998.

McDaniel is best known for his time with the Boston Celtics, where he won two championships. McDaniel is also a three-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA selection. McDaniel was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.

McDaniel currently works as an NBA commentator for ESPN. McDaniel was born in Columbia, South Carolina on June 4, 1963. Xavier McDaniel went to high school at A.C. Flora in Columbia, South Carolina. 

Xavier McDaniel played college basketball at Wichita State before being drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1985 NBA draft.

Xavier McDaniel was one of the most prolific scorers and rebounders in college basketball history. He was a two-time NCAA scoring leader and two-time MVC Player of the Year, and he was drafted by the New Jersey Nets in the first round of the 1986 NBA Draft. 

Xavier McDaniel's NBA career was brief, but he was a valuable contributor to several teams.

He played for the Iraklis Thessaloniki (1995–1996), the New Jersey Nets (1996–1998), and the Los Angeles Clippers (1998–2000), and he won an NBA All-Star Game and an NBA All-Rookie First Team Award. 

After his playing career ended, Xavier McDaniel became a television analyst and color commentator. He has also written several books about basketball, and he currently works as an NBA referee.

Xavier McDaniel is one of the most accomplished players in the history of college basketball, and he will always be remembered as one of the greatest scorers and rebounders in NCAA history.

Cal Bruton was born in New York City in 1954. He attended high school in Springfield Gardens in Queens before going on to play college basketball at Wichita State.

He was drafted by the Brisbane Bullets in the 1976 NBA draft but never played in the league. He moved to Australia in the early 1980s and played for the Geelong Supercats and Perth Wildcats before retiring in 1992.

Cal Bruton is now a basketball coach and has worked with a number of youth teams. Cal Bruton played in the NBL for several years and was a two-time All-NBL First Team selection. Bruton also played for the Perth Wildcats and the Hobart Devils in the ABA.

He coached the West Sydney Razorbacks in the NBL from 2007 to 2013. Bruton has also coached in the Philippines and Spain. He is a member of the Basketball Australia Hall of Fame. Bruton was inducted into the Geelong Supercats Hall of Fame in 2018. Cal Bruton is currently an assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons.

Cleanthony Early is an American power forward who played for the New York Knicks in 2015. Early played college basketball at SUNY Sullivan. Early is a native of the Bronx and played high school basketball at Pine Bush.

Ron Baker was a highly touted shooting guard and point guard prospect who went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft. Baker signed with the Knicks and made his debut in 2016.

He played in 67 games that season and averaged 7.9 points and 2.9 assists per game. Baker improved his averages in 2017, posting 13.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 rebounds per game.

The Knicks waived Baker in December of that year and he was signed by the Westchester Knicks. He played in five games for them before being waived again. Baker signed with the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association in February of 2019.

Ron Baker is a versatile forward who can play both inside and out. Baker was a valuable member of the Washington Wizards last season, averaging a career-high 18.7 points per game. He was also a key contributor on the team's playoff run, averaging 14.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Baker has represented the United States at both the Pan American Games and the National Team levels. He is a three-time First-team All-MVC selection and was named to the AP honorable mention All-American list in 2015. Baker is entering his fourth season in the NBA and is poised to continue his impressive play.

Toure' Murry was originally drafted by the New York Knicks in the 2012 NBA draft, but was undrafted. He played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the New York Knicks, and the Utah Jazz in his rookie, sophomore, and junior seasons, respectively.

In his senior season at Wichita State, Murry led the Shockers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in school history. After his rookie season, Murry was traded to the Erie BayHawks. He was then waived by the BayHawks in February of the 2015 season.

In August of the same year, Murry signed with the Phoenix Suns. He was waived by the Suns in December of the same year. In December of 2016, Murry signed with the Toronto Raptors. He was waived by the Raptors in February of the 2017 season. In February of the 2017 season, Murry signed with the Detroit Pistons.

He was waived by the Pistons in April of the same year. In May of the same year, Murry signed with the Luleå Basket of the Swedish Basketligan. 

He was waived by Luleå in September of the same year. In October of the same year, Murry signed with the Memphis Grizzlies. He was waived by the Grizzlies in November of the same year.

In November of the same year, Murry signed with the Atlanta Hawks. He was waived by the Hawks in December of the same year.

Malcolm Armstead is a point guard who has played in the NBA since 2013. He played college basketball at Chipola College and Oregon. He was undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft but has since had a successful career in the league.

He joined Krka in 2013 and helped the club win the Swiss Basketball League championship in 2017. Armstead joined Greek side AEK Athens in 2015, and helped the team win the Greek League championship in 2016.

Armstead moved to İstanbul BB in 2016 and helped the club win the Turkish Basketball League championship in 2017. In 2017, he joined Neptūnas of the Greek Basket League, and helped the team win the Greek Cup championship. 

Armstead joined Rethymno Cretan Kings of the Cyprus League in 2018. He helped the team win the Cyprus League championship in 2018.

He joined Kymis of the Greek Basket League in 2018. He helped the team win the Greek Cup championship. Armstead joined Golden Eagle Ylli of the Greek Basket League in 2019. He has helped the team win the Greek League championship.

Dave Stallworth was a three-time All-Star in the NBA and was one of the most versatile players in league history. He was drafted by the New York Knicks with the third pick in the 1965 NBA draft and played for the team for six seasons.

He was part of the Knicks' 1969 championship team and was also named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 1971. He retired from the NBA in 1974, but later made a comeback and played in the league until 1981. 

Dave Stallworth was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1985 and the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.

He died on March 15, 2017 at the age of 75. Stallworth was a key player on the 1970 New York Knicks championship team. Stallworth also helped lead the Baltimore Bullets to the 1973 championship. 

Stallworth was a three-time first-team All-MVC player and was inducted into the Wichita State University Hall of Fame. Stallworth was also an All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Second Team twice.

Stallworth was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1985. Dave Stallworth passed away in February of 2016 at the age of 80. Stallworth was a key contributor to the development of the point guard position and is considered one of the all-time greats.

11. Cliff Levingston

Cliff Levingston is a 62-year-old head coach currently coaching the TBL's Kokomo Bobcats. He played power forward in the NBA for the Detroit Pistons from 1982-1995.

After retiring from playing, he began coaching in 2000 with the TBL's Fort Wayne Mad Ants. He was then named head coach of the Kokomo Bobcats in 2013. He has led the Bobcats to three playoff appearances, most recently in 2017.

Levingston was born in San Diego, CA on January 4, 1961. He attended high school in Samuel F. B. Morse in San Diego, CA before going to Wichita State for two years. He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 1st round (9th overall) of the 1982 NBA Draft.

He played for the Pistons for six seasons before retiring in 1995. Cliff Levingston is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for thirteen seasons. 

Levingston played for the Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, and PAOK in his thirteen-year career.

He is best known for his time with the Pistons, where he won two championships in 1982 and 1984. Levingston also played for the Buckler Bologna, Denver Nuggets, and Rochester Razorsharks in Italy during his European career. 

He was named an All-Star twice and was a key player on the Pistons teams that won the championships in 1992 and 1993.

Levingston retired from basketball in 1995 and later coached the Fort Wayne Fury and Dodge City Legend in the NBA Development League. He is currently the head coach of the Kokomo BobKats in the NBA G-League.

Maurice Evans was one of the most prolific scorers in college basketball history. Evans was a three-time All-American at Wichita State and led the team to the NCAA Tournament in his final season.

He was undrafted in the 2001 NBA Draft but was signed by the Washington Wizards. Evans played for the Wizards for four seasons before being traded to the Orlando Magic in 2007. Evans played for the Magic for four seasons before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in 2011.

Gene Wiley was born on November 12, 1937 in Amarillo, Texas. Wiley attended high school in Carver and played college basketball for Wichita State. After being drafted by the Lakers, Wiley played in the NBA for six seasons.

He was a key player on the Lakers' 1962 championship team. After his playing career ended, Wiley became a coach and executive in the NBA. In 2010, Wiley was awarded the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame induction. Gene Wiley is a retired American basketball player and coach.

He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010. Wiley currently works as a basketball analyst. Wiley was a standout center for the Lakers during the early 1960s. He won a first-team All-MVC award in 1962 and was also a part of the Lakers team that made it to the NBA Finals that year.

After playing two seasons with the Oaks and Chaparrals, Wiley ended his playing career with the Dallas Stars in 1968. He later went on to have a successful career in coaching, most notably with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Wiley was inducted into the Texas Tech Athletics Hall of Fame in 1984. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 63.

Antoine Carr was drafted 8th overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 1983 NBA draft. He played for the Pistons from 1983 to 2002. Antoine Carr is best known for his time with the Atlanta Hawks, where he won three championships (1990, 1991, 1996).

Carr also played for the Sacramento Kings, Utah Jazz, and San Antonio Spurs. Antoine Carr retired in 2002. He now works as a basketball analyst for TNT. Carr was a prolific scorer in college and in the NBA; his 9,176 points are third all-time in NCAA history and his 3,384 rebounds are fifth.

Nate Bowman was an American basketball player who played in the NBA for the Cincinnati Royals and New York Knicks. Bowman was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1943 and attended high school in Kirkpatrick.

He played college basketball at Wichita State and was drafted by the Cincinnati Royals in the 1965 NBA draft. Bowman played in the NBA for four seasons with the Cincinnati Royals, New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers.

He is best known for his time with the New York Knicks, where he won two NBA championships (1973 and 1975). Bowman retired from professional basketball in 1977. He died from a heart attack in 1984 at the age of 41. Nate Bowman was born on October 30, 1974 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

In high school, Bowman was a two-time All-State selection and was voted to the All-America team as a senior. Bowman played collegiately at the University of North Carolina. 

He was a two-time Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) champion and a two-time All-ACC selection. Bowman was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the 1997 NBA Draft.

David Kyles was born on December 7, 1989 in Dallas, Texas. Kyles played college basketball at Wichita State, where he was a two-time all-conference selection.

Kyles was not drafted in the 2012 NBA draft, but he has since played in the NBA for the Dallas Mavericks and the Atlanta Hawks. Kyles is a shooting guard who is known for his scoring ability.

Kyles is married and has two children. Kyles was born in Astrum Levice, Slovakia. Kyles began playing basketball at a young age and quickly developed into one of the top players in his country.

Cleo began her career as a flight attendant with Braniff Airways. She later worked for Wichita Vickers where she became a flight instructor. Cleo retired from Wichita Vickers in 1988 and moved to Rentiesville.

Cleo is a retired flight instructor and is currently an active member of the American Legion. Cleo is a talented artist and has exhibited her work throughout the United States. Cleo is married to her husband, Don, for over 60 years.

They have two children and five grandchildren. Cleo is a philanthropist and has donated money to a number of charities over the years. Cleo is currently 90 years old and is still active and doing what she loves most, painting.

Cooper played forward at Wichita State from 1987-1991 and helped the Shockers to a Final Four appearance in 1991. Cooper then played with the Fort Wayne Fury in the National Professional Basketball League (NPBL) from 1991-1993.

Cooper then transitioned to coaching with the UNLV Rebels, first as an assistant before becoming the team's head coach in 2014. 

Cooper has led UNLV to two NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 berth in 2017. Cooper is a two-time NPBL Coach of the Year recipient (2002 with the Fort Wayne Fury and 2010 with the Sioux Falls Skyforce).

Dreiling is best known for his thirteen seasons playing in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers. Dreiling was a big man at 7'1", and was known for his rebounding and defensive abilities.

Dreiling retired in 1998 after playing with the Indiana Pacers, Orlando Magic, and Milwaukee Bucks. Dreiling is currently an assistant coach with the Wichita State Shockers men's basketball team.

Greg Dreiling was a standout player at Indiana University, where he helped lead the Hoosiers to the NCAA Championship in 1984. Dreiling was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the 1986 NBA Draft, and he went on to play for the team for six seasons, including two as a starter.

Dreiling was part of the Dallas Mavericks team that reached the NBA Finals in 1994, and he also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Cavalry over the course of his career. 

After retiring from the NBA, Dreiling went on to play in Europe, where he was a key player for Pau-Orthez and then Rockford Lighting.

Dreiling is a two-time All-Star, and he was inducted into the Indiana University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001.

Sherrod was born in Wichita, Kansas in 1962. He attended high school at Wichita Heights and played college basketball at Wichita State before being selected in the NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls in 1985.

Sherrod played for the Bulls for three seasons before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1989. Sherrod played for the Cavaliers for two more seasons before retiring from the NBA in 1992. After retirement, Sherrod worked as a basketball coach at Wichita Heights High School and then at Wichita State.

Sherrod was inducted into the Wichita State Hall of Fame in 2006. He was married to his wife, Darlene, from 1987 until their divorce in 2001. Sherrod has two children, Aubrey Jr. and Averie. He currently resides in Wichita, Kansas. Sherrod is a former shooting guard who played college basketball at Geelong.

Sherrod was a Second Team All-MVC selection three times and was named the MVP of the McDonald's All-American Game in 1981. 

Sherrod played professionally in the Australian National Basketball League for the Geelong Supercats and the Wyoming Wildcatters. Sherrod is currently the head coach at Roberts Wesleyan College.

Sherrod was born in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in the small town of Mount Juliet, Tennessee. Sherrod is married and has two children. Sherrod is a graduate of Vanderbilt University where he earned a degree in Business Administration. 

Sherrod is a coach at Roberts Wesleyan College and also serves as an assistant coach for the Geelong Falcons in the Australian National Basketball League. Sherrod is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Jaime Echenique was born in Barranquilla, Colombia on April 27, 1997. He played high school basketball at IED Pestalozzi in Barranquilla, Colombia. Echenique played college basketball for Trinity Valley CC in Texas.

He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 2018 NBA G League Draft. Echenique has played for the Pistons, the Utah Jazz, and the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA G League. Echenique is scheduled to play for the Motor City Cruise in the 2022 NBA G League season.

Echenique is a skilled center who can play both inside and outside. Echenique is a versatile player who can play both offensively and defensively.

Hannah was born on November 15, 1987 in Rochester, New York. She played college basketball at Paris JC and Chipola College before joining Wichita State in 2008.

Hannah has played in the LBA since 2010. She is currently a point guard for the Scafati Basket. Hannah is a two-time All-Star and was the 2011 LBA Most Valuable Player.

Hannah is also a member of the United States Women's National Basketball Team and the Senegal Women's National Basketball Team. Hannah was a member of the gold medal-winning women's basketball team at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Hannah is currently married and has two sons. Hannah is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Hannah is a leader in her community and has been involved in many charitable organizations. Clevin Hannah was an undrafted player who has played in the NBA since 2010.

Gal Mekel was born in Ramat HaSharon, Israel in 1988. He attended Wichita State from 2006-2008, and then played in the NBA for two years before returning to Israel.

Gal Mekel played for Maccabi Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Benetton Treviso in his career. He was drafted by the Mavericks in 2008 but never played in the NBA. Gal Mekel joined the Israeli team Maccabi Haifa in 2013 and won the Israeli League Championship in 2014.

Gal Mekel retired in 2018. Gal Mekel was born on March 16, 1988 in Haifa, Israel. Mekel played for the Israeli League's Hapoel Tel Aviv before joining the Dallas Mavericks in 2013. Mekel is a versatile player who can play both Point Guard and Shooting Guard.

In his two seasons with the Mavericks, Mekel averaged 10.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. In 2018, Mekel joined the Gran Canaria club in the Spanish Liga ACB. Mekel is expected to join the Málaga club in the Spanish Liga ACB for the 2019–2020 season. 

Mekel has participated in the Israeli and Spanish national teams, and has won medals at the EuroBasket (2010), the World Cup (2014), and the EuroLeague (2015). Gal Mekel is a two-time Israeli League MVP and two-time Israeli Cup MVP.

Conner Frankamp is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for Gaziantep Basketbol of the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi. Frankamp attended Wichita State University and played for the Shockers from 2015-2018.

In the 2018 NBA Draft, Frankamp was undrafted and currently plays in the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi. Frankamp is a point guard who is skilled at creating his own shot and distributing the ball. Frankamp has represented the United States internationally at the FIBA Europe Cup.
