Kevin Smith

Baseball has been a major part of Venezuelan culture since the early twentieth century. It has become a beloved sport throughout the country and is by far the most popular game played by Venezuelans.

The roots of baseball in Venezuela are attributed to the cultural influence of the United States oil companies which introduced the game at the end of the 1910s and beginning of the 1920s. Since then, it has grown to become a staple of Venezuelan culture and continues to bring joy to the people of the country.
