Tranmere Rovers Football Club is a long-standing and proud member of the English football league system. Founded in 1884 as Belmont Football Club, they are based in Birkenhead, Merseyside and have been a part of their local community ever since.

Throughout their history, the team has experienced highs and lows, but have always remained committed to the local game. They currently compete in EFL League Two and play their home games at Prenton Park. Jordan Turnbull was born on October 30th, 1994 in Trowbridge, England. He started his career at Swindon Town before joining Southampton in 2007. In 2013, he moved to Tranmere Rovers and has since played over 150 league games for the club.

Jordan is currently a defender for Tranmere Rovers and has represented England at youth level. Jordan Turnbull is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Coventry City. 

He made his debut for Southampton in 2013, and has since played for Swindon Town on loan and Northampton Town in the English Premier League.

Jordan also represented England at youth level, playing twice for their U19 side before appearing once more with their U20 team.

Jason Koumas was born on September 25th, 1979 in Wrexham, Wales. He started his career at Liverpool where he played for two seasons. He then moved to Tranmere Rovers where he played for three seasons.

He then joined Wigan Athletic in 2007. He retired from professional football in 2013. He then started work as a football coach. He is currently a football analyst for BT Sport. He has also been a manager in the Welsh Premier League.

Jason Koumas is an attacking midfielder who is well-known for his goal-scoring ability. Jason Koumas is a Welsh international who has played for his country 34 times. Koumas spent time at West Bromwich Albion and Cardiff City before joining Tranmere Rovers in 2013.

He has played in the Premier League, Championship, League One, and League Two. Koumas is a hard-working midfielder who is known for his passing ability.

Pat Nevin was born in Glasgow in 1963 and started his career playing for Clyde. Nevin joined Chelsea in 1983 and played for them until 1988. Nevin joined Everton in 1988 and played for them until 1992.

Nevin joined Tranmere Rovers in 1992 and played for them until 1997. Nevin joined Kilmarnock in 1997 and played for them until 1998. Nevin retired from playing in 1998. Nevin has been a coach at Watford, Everton, and Chelsea.

Nevin has also been a television pundit for ITV. Nevin was made an OBE in the 2017 Queen's birthday honours. Pat Nevin was born in Scotland in December of 1958. Nevin began his football career playing for Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League.

Nevin was a member of the Scotland national team from 1982-1996, during which time he won a U-18 championship and a U-20 championship. 

Nevin also had a short stint playing for Scotland B in the Scottish Football League. Nevin retired from football in 1996 and now works as a football commentator.

Nevin was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

Zoumana Bakayogo is a defender who has played for Paris Saint-Germain and Millwall in the English Premier League. He was born in Paris, France on 17 August 1986.

He started his career with Paris Saint-Germain, making his debut in 2004. He spent time on loan at Millwall during the 2006/2007 season. He joined Millwall permanently in 2007, and remained with the club until 2008.

Bakayogo then joined Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille. He made his debut for Olympique de Marseille in a 2-1 victory over Lille on 12 September 2009. He scored his first goal for Olympique de Marseille in a 3-1 victory over Valenciennes on 18 February 2010.

He left Olympique de Marseille in the summer of 2013, and signed for Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen. 

Zoumana Bakayogo is a Senegalese midfielder who has played for Brighton & Hove Albion and Leicester City in the English Premier League. Bakayogo was born in the town of Diamant, near the capital Dakar, in Senegal in 1990.

After starting his career with local side AS Saint-Louis, Bakayogo moved to France to play for Tours FC, then Angers SCO, before joining Brighton & Hove Albion in 2007. 

He made his Premier League debut for the Seagulls against Manchester United in October 2007, and went on to make 128 appearances for the club, scoring 18 goals.

Bakayogo joined Leicester City in 2013, and helped the Foxes to the Premier League title in 2015. He made 21 appearances for Tranmere Rovers in the 2018–19 season, before signing for Notts County in January 2019. 

Bakayogo has played for the Senegal national team on three occasions, scoring two goals. He is currently with the Senegal national team as they prepare for the 2020 Africa Cup of Nations.

John Aldridge is a retired English professional footballer who played as a striker. Aldridge began his career at South Liverpool, before signing for Liverpool in 1978.

Aldridge made over 330 appearances for Liverpool, winning the League Cup in 1984 and the FA Cup in 1986. Aldridge later played for Birmingham City, Wimbledon, and Sunderland.

Aldridge retired in 1998. Aldridge was named Liverpool's all-time leading scorer in 2004. Aldridge is the father of professional footballer John Aldridge Jr. Aldridge was appointed Liverpool ambassador in 2013.

Aldridge was made a Freeman of the City of Liverpool in 2016. John Aldridge was born on September 18, 1958 in Liverpool, England. After starting his career at South Liverpool, Aldridge signed for Liverpool in 1978.

David Kelly was born on 25 November 1965 in Birmingham, England. Kelly played for Bartley Green Boys, West Bromwich Albion, Alvechurch, and Walsall in his youth career.

After leaving Walsall, Kelly signed with West Ham United in 1988. He spent two seasons with the Hammers. Kelly then moved to Leicester City in 1990. He played for the Foxes for two seasons before retiring in 1991.

Kelly later worked as a football commentator for BBC and ITV. David Kelly passed away on 17 July 2013 at the age of 57. Kelly was a forward who was known for his pace and goal scoring ability. Kelly was posthumously inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2014.

Kelly is remembered for his strong work ethic and dedication to the sport of football. David Kelly was born in Liverpool in 1968. 

David Kelly started his career as a player with Newcastle United in the early 1990s. He later played for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sunderland and Sheffield United.

Micky Mellon is a Scottish footballer who is currently the manager of Tranmere Rovers. He started his career with Bristol City and had a successful spell there before moving to Cork City on loan.

Ash Taylor is a defender who currently plays for Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership. Taylor made his senior debut in 2010 for Tranmere Rovers and has since played for clubs including Watford, Reading and Kilmarnock.

A product of Bromborough Academy, Taylor has been capped at youth level by England, and represented his country at the 2013 U-20 World Cup. Taylor is known for his powerful tackling and speedy running down the left flank.

Welsh began his career with Liverpool, playing four seasons for the Reds before moving to Hull City on a loan in 2006. After spending two seasons with Hull, Welsh signed with Preston North End in 2007.

Welsh remained with Preston until 2016, when he retired from professional football. Welsh has made over 200 appearances in the English Premier League and was a member of the Liverpool team that won the Champions League in 2005.

Clint Hill is a former English professional footballer who played as a defender. Clint Hill played for Tranmere Rovers between 1994 and 1997. Hill then played for Queens Park Rangers between 1998 and 2011.

Hill was appointed assistant manager of Stockport County in November 2018. Hill made his international debut for England in 1998 and earned 52 caps over a 10-year period. Hill retired from playing in 2011 and has since been involved in coaching and management.

Hill has won 50 caps for England, making him the second most capped player in England's history. Hill is the joint-second most capped player in England's history, alongside Peter Shilton. 

Hill is a former captain of the England national football team. Clint Hill made his name at Tranmere Rovers before moving to Stoke City in 2003.

He spent five years at Stoke before joining Crystal Palace in 2007. Clint Hill played his first game for the United States in 2009.

Moore began his career at Tranmere Rovers before moving to Cardiff City in 1979. He had a successful spell at Rotherham United, scoring 125 goals in total.

Moore moved to Chicago Sting in 1983 and helped the team win the MLS Cup in 1985. He retired from playing in 1987 and went on to have a successful coaching career.

Ian Goodison was born in 1972 in Jamaica and moved to England at a young age to play football. He started his career with Tranmere Rovers, and played for the club for 11 seasons.

He was a regular in the Tranmere Rovers team and helped the team to promotion to the Premier League in 2005. He played for Manchester United for two seasons, but was released in 2007.

He then played for Blackburn Rovers for two seasons, before moving to Wigan Athletic in 2009. He played for Wigan Athletic until 2011, when he retired from professional football. He now works as a football analyst for BBC Radio Lancashire.

Ian Goodison was inducted into the Tranmere Rovers Hall of Fame in 2014. He has also been nominated for the PFA Players' Player of the Year award twice, in 2005 and 2006. 

Ian Goodison is a Jamaican international footballer who has played professionally in the United Kingdom for Tranmere Rovers, and in the Jamaican national team.

Goodison made his professional debut with Tranmere Rovers in the 2002–03 season, and went on to make 366 appearances and score 11 goals for the club over a 14-year period. 

He represented Jamaica at senior level from 1996 to 2009, and played 128 matches, scoring 10 goals. Goodison joined the Jamaican national team in 1996, and made his international debut in a 2–1 win over Bermuda in December of that year.

He has since played at the 2009 and 2013 World Cups, as well as the 2004 and 2008 Olympics. Goodison retired from international football in May 2016, after playing his last match for Jamaica in a 1–0 victory over the United States. 

After retirement from international football, Goodison joined Harbour View, who were then playing in the Jamaican League Premier Division. Ian Goodison is an experienced and respected footballer, who has played at a high level for a number of years.

Iain Hume is a Scottish striker who has played for several clubs in England. Hume won the club's player of the year award in 2011 after scoring 19 goals in 61 appearances for Preston North End.

In January 2014, Hume signed for Woodstock FC, his first managerial position. Hume has also represented Scotland at international level. Hume was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1983. Hume started his career at Tranmere Rovers before moving to Leicester City in 2005.

Chris Greenacre is a former striker who played for Manchester City and Cardiff City in the English Premier League. Greenacre rejoined Wellington Phoenix in January 2019 as an assistant manager.

Ryan Taylor is a full back and midfielder who has played for several English clubs, most notably Newcastle United. Taylor has represented England at youth level, and has also played for Tranmere Rovers and Newcastle United.

In 2013, Taylor joined Buxton on a two-year contract. Taylor has been a regular for Buxton this season, and has made 14 appearances in the National League.

Tony Rowley was a centre forward who played for several teams over his career. He was born in Wales in 1929 and died in 2006. Rowley was a very successful player and won a number of trophies during his career.

He is remembered as one of the best centre forwards in the history of English football. Rowley is also notable for being the first player to score a goal in the European Cup. He is a member of the Welsh National Football Hall of Fame.

Rowley's son, Mark, is also a professional footballer. Rowley is widely considered to be one of the greatest centre forwards in the history of the game. He is also considered to be one of the most complete players in the history of English football.

Wayne Allison is a striker who played for a number of clubs in England during the 1990s. Allison spent time at Halifax Town, Watford and Bristol City, before retiring in 1995.

Allison was a prolific goalscorer, with 48 goals in 195 appearances. Allison was capped by England at youth level, and has since worked as a football coach. Allison is currently a football coach at a school in Huddersfield.

Allison is a popular coach with young players, and has been involved in the development of several players. Allison is a respected figure in the football community, and is known for his positive attitude.

Allison began his managerial career with Swindon Town in 1995. Allison led Swindon to the League One title in 1997, but left for Huddersfield Town two years later.

Arthur Lomax is a midfielder for Tranmere Rovers. He was born on 17 May 2004. He is 18 years old. He has made 30 appearances for Tranmere Rovers so far.

Arthur has made two appearances for the England U19s. He has also represented his country at U15, U16, and U17 levels. Arthur is a product of the Liverpool youth academy.

He made his professional debut for Tranmere Rovers in a League Cup game against Blackburn Rovers in 2016. Arthur is a talented player with a lot of potential and he is sure to improve with experience.

Arthur Lomax is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Wigan Athletic in the English Premier League. He has represented Wales at under-21 level. Lomax started his career at Tranmere Rovers, before joining Wigan Athletic in July 2018.

He made his debut for the Latics in a League Cup tie against Burton Albion on 8 August 2018. Lomax made his full Premier League debut for Wigan Athletic in a 3-1 win over Southampton on 5 November 2018. 

Lomax has been capped at under-21 level by Wales. He made his debut for the country in a 0-0 draw with Slovakia in March 2018.

Calvin Zola was born in Kinshasa, Zaire, in 1984. He began his career at Newcastle United in 2001. He scored 16 goals in 62 appearances for the club. In 2003, he moved to Italy to play for Serie A side Lazio.

He left Lazio in 2007 and returned to England to play for Chelsea. He signed for French club Marseille in 2009. He left Marseille in 2012 and moved to Lille. He signed for English side Aston Villa in January 2013.

He left Villa in February 2014 and moved to Italian side AC Milan. Calvin Zola is a versatile midfielder who is known for his passing ability and crossing ability. He started his career at Newcastle United, before moving to Oldham Athletic on loan.

He then spent time at Tranmere Rovers and Crewe Alexandra before joining Burton Albion on a loan. He was then signed by Aberdeen, where he made 20 appearances in total. He then joined Stevenage on a six-month loan, before returning to Burton Albion.

He has since retired from football, but is still involved in coaching.

Tommy Eglington was an out-left for Munster Victoria in the 1950s. He had a long career with the province, making over 100 appearances. Eglington also played for Ireland, and won 31 caps.

He died in 2004, aged 81. Eglington was a member of the Munster team that won the 1957-58 Heineken Cup. He is also remembered for his excellent club career with Naas. Eglington was inducted into the Munster Hall of Fame in 2006.

He was born in Donnycarney, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1923. Eglington died in 2004, aged 81. Eglington was a versatile defender who played for both Everton and Tranmere Rovers during a long and successful career. He represented Ireland at both international levels, and was part of the League of Ireland XI team that competed in the 1961–1963 season.

Eglington was born and raised in Dublin, and made his first-team debut for Shamrock Rovers in 1942. He went on to play for Everton for six seasons, before moving to Tranmere Rovers in 1957. He retired from football in 1961, and later worked as a coach at the club level. Eglington passed away in April 2016, aged 87.

Final Words

Tranmere Rovers F.C. has had a long and proud history, and has produced some of the best footballers in the country. From the early days of the club, through to the present day, Tranmere Rovers has been home to some of the country’s top players, and they have all contributed to the club’s successes.
