Zlatan Ibrahimović is an award-winning striker who currently plays for AC Milan. He was born in Sweden and started his career with Malmö BI before transferring to FBK Balkan in 1995.

In 1999, he moved to Malmo FF where he enjoyed great success scoring over 150 goals in 200 appearances.

Gunnar Nordahl was a Swedish striker who spent his entire professional career with Italian club AC Milan. 

He is considered one of the greatest strikers in football history, and holds several records including most goals scored in a European Cup (25), Serie A (217) and all-time for both clubs combined (338).

Nordahl started his career at local side Hörnefors IF, before moving to Degerfors IF ahead of World War II. After two seasons he joined IFK Norrköping where he won back-to-back Swedish championships in 1947 and 1948. 

In 1950, Gunnar Nordahl moved abroad to join Italian giants AC Milan where he helped them win three successive league titles between 1951 and 1953 as well as the 1952–53 European Cup Winners' Cup.

He also reached the final of the 1957 Copa del Generalísimo but lost out to Real Madrid Fútbol Club de España. Following spells with Roma and Karlstad BIK during 1958–1960.

Gunnar Nordahl rejoined AC Milan for a second spell which lasted until 1965; this time helping them claim their fifth domestic title in 1963 and reach another European Cup semi-final that year before losing out again to Barcelona FC on aggregate.

Internationally, Gunnar Nordahl represented Sweden at numerous tournaments including the 1954 FIFA World Cup where they made it all the way to the quarterfinals before being knocked out by Uruguay.

Euro 1968where Sweden finished third after beating Yugoslavia 2–1 in an epic semifinal match held at Wembley Stadium; UEFA Euro 1984where they were eliminated from competition following a 4–0 home loss against Dutch side Feyenoord Rotterdam.

The 1990 FIFA World Cup where Sweden placed fourth after reaching their first ever knockout stage ;and The 2002 FIFA World Cup where they narrowly missed qualification by finishing fifth place behind Germany , Turkey , Croatia & Denmark.

On 15 September 1995, aged 73 years old, Nils Gunnar Nordahl died suddenly while on holiday in Alghero, Italy.

Nils Liedholm was born on October 8, 1922 in Valdemarsvik, Sweden. He started his career with Valdemarsviks IF before moving to IK Sleipner and then IFK Norrköping.

In 1961 he joined Milan where he played 359 games over a fourteen-year period. He made 23 appearances for Sweden between 1947 and 1958, scoring 12 goals during that time span.

Nils retired from playing in 1961 but continued to manage teams until his death in 2007 at the age of 85 years old. Nils Liedholm played as a midfielder for many of Sweden's top clubs, including Milan and Roma.

He was capped 53 times by his country and helped them to the 1974 World Cup final. After retiring from playing, he went into coaching with Milan and Verona before joining Roma in 1984. 

He left Rome at the end of the 1987-88 season after leading them to second place in Serie A behind Juventus.

He then took over at Verona but was sacked after only six months due to failure to achieve promotion back to Serie A; he subsequently became assistant coach at Fiorentina under Nevio Scala before returning home to manage IFK Norrköping in 2003-04 season.

Henrik Larsson is a Swedish professional footballer, who currently plays for Manchester United. He has played in the Premier League for both Celtic and Barcelona, as well as periods on loan at Helsingborgs IF and Manchester United.

Henrik Larsson was born on September 20th 1971 in Helsingborg, Sweden. At the age of 17 he joined Högaborgs BK where he would score 64 goals over two seasons before transferring to Helsingborgs IF. 

In 1992, Larsson transferred to Feyenoord where he scored 101 goals over six years including 26 during his time with Feyenoord which earned him selection to play for Sweden at Euro 96 that year.

After leaving Feyenoord in 2004, Larsson signed for Celtic becoming one of their most prolific strikers ever with 174 goals in total across seven seasons with the Glasgow club; this included winning three Scottish Premier Leagues (2005-07).

Two Scottish Cups (2003-05) and one Scottish League Cup (2004). In 2006, after nine successful years at Celtic Park transfer speculation began linking him with some of Europe's biggest clubs including Barcelona and Real Madrid.

It was Manchester United who secured his services on a season long loan deal later that year; this move proved incredibly successful as he helped them win four trophies - FA Cup (2007), Champions League (2008), European Super Cup (2008) and Intercontinental Cup (2009).

Upon returning to Old Trafford from his loan spell at Helsingborgs IF in 2007, rumours circulated once again linking him with Spanish giants Real Madrid but ultimately nothing came of these reports leading.

Many pundits to believe that something had held back negotiations between the two sides until just days before signing officially became official on July 1st 2009 when Barça matched United's £30 million valuation.

On June 30th 2014 it was announced by Manchester united that Henrik Larrson had retired from football due to an ACL injury sustained while playing against Chelsea earlier that month.

Carl Starfelt was born on 1 June 1995 in Stockholm, Sweden. He is a centre-back and currently plays for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership. Carl has represented Sweden at youth levels, but made his senior debut for Rubin Kazan in 2016.

Kurt Hamrin is a retired Swedish footballer who played as a winger. He started his career with Huvudsta IS before joining Juventus in 1956. 

Hamrin won two Swedish championship titles with AIK and was part of the teams that reached the European Cup Winners' Cup final in 1962, losing to Barcelona 3-1 after going down 2-0 at halftime.

Gren represented Sweden at the 1958 FIFA World Cup where he helped the team reach the semi-finals. He retired from playing in 1953 and later worked as a football commentator for Swedish television.

Ronnie Hellström is considered one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time. He starred for Malmö FF for over 20 years and won numerous trophies. Hellström was a part of the Swedish team that reached the final of the UEFA European Championship in 1984.

They lost to France. Hellström also played for Sweden at the 1988 and 1990 World Cups. Hellström announced his retirement from professional football in 1998. 

Hellström was appointed as the new manager of Djurgården in 2008. He led the team to the Swedish Cup in 2009 and the Allsvenskan in 2010.
