Jordan Pickford is a goalkeeper for Everton and was named the club's Player of the Year in 2017. Jordan Pickford was born on 7 March 1994 in Washington, England.

He started his career at Sunderland before moving to Darlington and Alfreton Town on loan spells. He made his full international debut for England in 2016 and went on to play at the 2018 FIFA World Cup where they were knocked out by Croatia in the quarter-finals.

Jermain Defoe is a retired English professional footballer who played as a striker. He started out his career at Charlton Athletic, and joined West Ham United in 1999.

In 2004, he left the Premier League to join Portsmouth, before returning to England with Tottenham Hotspur in 2007. Defoe then signed for Sunderland in 2011 before retiring from football later that year.

Defoe has represented England at the international level on multiple occasions and was part of their squad that won the 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign under Sven-Göran Eriksson. 

He announced his retirement from international football in March 2017 following non-selection for Gareth Southgate's 23-man squad for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia respectively.

Jack Colback is a midfielder who currently plays for Nottingham Forest. He was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England on 24 October 1989. 

He's 5'10" tall and has played for Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Ipswich Town and Forest since debuting in the 2010-11 season.

Jack Colback is known for his hard work off the ball as well as his attacking play from midfield; he has scored 11 goals in 167 appearances throughout his career to date. 

In March 2012, Jack Colback signed a new two-year contract with Nottingham Forest which will keep him at the club until 2015.[4] 

On 10 September 2014, it was announced that Jack Colback would be out for up to six months after suffering an ankle injury duringmatch against Queens Park Rangers.[5] After making a return to action earlier this year (November).

Asamoah Gyan is a Ghanaian international footballer who plays as a striker for UAE club Al Ain and the Ghana national team. Asamoah Gyan began his career with Liberty Professionals in 2003, before moving to Udinese the following year.

He spent four seasons at Rennes before joining Sunderland in 2010. In 2012 he joined Al Ain on loan, where he has since made over 65 appearances and scored 73 goals. 

Asamoah Gyan was named African Footballer of the Year in both 2008 and 2011, and reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in 2014 as captain of Ghana's squad.

After retiring from international football in 2016, Asamoah Gyan returned to play for Al Ain later that year—scoring six goals in eight league appearances during the season.

Simon Mignolet is a goalkeeper for Belgian club Club Brugge. He started his career at Sint-Truiden, before moving to Sunderland in 2010 and then Liverpool the following year.

Mignolet has made 155 appearances for Liverpool since 2013, including Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup. In 2019 he was named as Belgium's captain ahead of their 2020 European Championship campaign.

Raich Carter was a prolific goalscorer for Sunderland during the 1930s. He made his debut for Sunderland in 1931 and went on to score 118 goals over the course of nine seasons with the club.

Raich Carter later played for Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Middlesbrough and Manchester United before ending his career in England with Wilerby Town in 1968. 

Raich Carter is widely considered one of the greatest inside forwards ever to have played professionally, and he was inducted into both the English Football Hall of Fame and The North East Football Museum's Hall of Fame as a result.

Raich Carter was born on October 30th, 1915 in Stoke-on-Trent. He started his playing career at local club Stoke City before moving to Hull City in 1938. 

After a successful spell with Hull City, Raich Carter moved to Leeds United where he won the League Championship in 1948 and 1949.

He then went on to manage Cork Athletic and Mansfield Town before returning to Leeds United as manager in 1963 where he remained until 1966 when he left for Middlesbrough.

Raich Carter retired from football following his departure from Middlesbrough and later worked as a coach at various clubs including Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday before retiring completely in 1985.

Julio Arca is a versatile central midfielder who has played for clubs in Argentina, Spain and England. He was signed by Sunderland in January 2014 for £4 million.

Arca started his career with Quilmes before moving to Spanish side Valencia, where he won the Copa del Rey in 2006 and 2007. He then joined Barcelona, where he won three La Liga titles (2008-10), two Champions League crowns (2009-10) and the Club World Cup (2012).

In summer 2013, Arca moved to English side Manchester City but failed to win any silverware at the club. After leaving Manchester City, Arca spent time on loan at French club Lille before joining Sunderland on a permanent deal in January 2014. 

At Sunderland, Arca has been used as both a central midfielder and left wingback due to his versatility and attacking instincts off the ball; these have seen him score four goals from 21 appearances so far this season.

Marcus Stewart is a former professional footballer who played as a striker. He began his career with Bristol Rovers, before moving on to Hull City and Burnley.

He later had spells at Wigan Athletic and Dundee United, before retiring in 2007 after playing for Chesterfield in League Two. Stewart has since worked as the Head of Player Development at Yeovil Town, helping the club reach promotion to League One in 2016.

Fletcher was born in 1987 in Shrewsbury, England. He started his career at Hibs in 2000 and quickly became a first-team regular. He moved to Sunderland in 2007, where he scored over 100 goals in three seasons.

He joined Dundee United in 2015 and has been a regular starter ever since. He has won three Scottish Premier League titles and two Scottish Cups with Dundee United. Fletcher is one of the most prolific strikers in Scottish football and is respected by his peers.

Danny Collins is a former English footballer who played as a centre back and left back. Collins made his senior debut with Chester City in 1996, and went on to play for Buckley Town, Mold Alexandra, and Sunderland.

David Watson is a retired English central defender who played for Notts County and Nottingham Forest. David Watson was born on 5 October 1946 in Nottinghamshire and started his career at Stapleford O.B.

He made over 200 appearances for the Gunners. Quinn later played for Sunderland, Boston United, Celtic, and Cork City. He made over 500 appearances in all competitions.

Len Ashurst was born on 10 March 1939 in Liverpool, England. He started his career at Liverpool before moving to Sunderland in 1970. He made 455 appearances in the Football League during his time at Sunderland and Hartlepool.

Richie Pitt was born in Ryhope, County Durham, England on October 22, 1951. Pitt started his career at Newcastle United, making his debut in 1967. He spent the majority of his time at the club playing as a defender.

In 1984, Pitt joined Manchester City. He spent 14 years with the club, making over 200 appearances. In 1991, Pitt moved to Chelsea. He spent three years with the club, making over 40 appearances. Pitt retired from playing in 1995.

He then started working as a coach with various clubs. Pitt was appointed as the caretaker manager of Manchester City in December 2006. 

He held the position until March 2007. In October 2007, Pitt was appointed as the new manager of Portsmouth.

He held the position until November 2009. Pitt was appointed as the new manager of Blackburn Rovers in December 2009. 

He held the position until July 2013. Pitt was appointed as the new manager of Newcastle United in November 2013. He held the position until November 2016.

Charlie Hurley is a retired Irish football centre half who played for several clubs in the English and Scottish leagues. He made his debut for Cork City in 1955 and went on to make over 350 appearances for the club.

He joined Manchester United in November 1968 and played 487 league games for the club over the next five years. 

He then moved to Scotland to play for Celtic, where he won a Scottish Cup and two Scottish League championships.

He retired from playing in 1975 and later managed several clubs in Ireland. He is currently the president of the Football Association of Ireland. 

He was made an honorary life president of Manchester United in 2000. He was awarded an honorary degree from the University of Cork in 2006.

He was made an honorary citizen of Cork in 2007.
