The team competes in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference. Pharoh Cooper was a wide receiver and return specialist for the Arizona Cardinals in 2020. After being drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 2016, Cooper played two seasons with them before being traded to the Arizona Cardinals in 2018.

In his three years with the Cards, he has recorded over 1,000 yards receiving and four touchdowns on offense. On November 2nd of this year (2020), he made history by becoming the first player ever to return both a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in one game.

Pharoh is currently signed with the Carolina Panthers through 2022-present, where he looks to help lead their team back to prominence after winning just six games last season Pharoh Cooper is a 2017 first-team All-Pro and two-time first-team all-SEC player. He has 59 receptions for 539 yards and 3 touchdowns this season.

Pharaoh was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. In his rookie year, he had 49 catches for 471 yards and 2 touchdowns, earning him NFC Rookie of the Year honors.

Stephon Gilmore was a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Buffalo Bills in 2016 and 2017. He has also won three Pro Bowl appearances, two First-Team All-Pro Awards, and one Second-Team All-Pro Award during his career.

Gilmore is known for his tough play against opposing receivers, which has led to him accumulating over 100 interceptions during his NFL career. Gilmore is a three-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time First-team All-Pro. 

He led the NFL with 29 interceptions in 2019, making him one of the most prolific defensive players in league history.

Gilmore was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2010 and has since developed into one of the team's most important players.

Alshon Jeffery is a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 2012 but went to play for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2017-2020.

In 2018, he won Super Bowl LII with the Eagles against the New England Patriots. Alshon Jeffery has had some impressive stats throughout his career including 1,313 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in 2018 alone.

Alshon Jeffery is known as one of the best route runners in NFL history and can create openings even when covered by defenders due to his speed and agility on offense (he ran a 4.43-second 40-yard dash). 

As an Eagle, Jeffery has helped lead Philly to back-to-back NFC East titles (2018–2019) and appearances in three straight playoffs (2017–2019), where they have yet to win a game however.

Alshon Jefferey's wife Chanel gave birth to their first child Aiden last year which obviously added more excitement into their lives. Alshon Jeffery is a talented and dominant receiver in the NFL. 

He has had success with both the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles, amassing over 500 receptions for 6,786 yards and 46 touchdowns in his career. Jeffery's toughness was on display when he missed most of 2016 due to an injury, coming back to lead his team in receiving yards that season despite not being at 100%.

His presence will be sorely missed by the Eagles as they move on from him this offseason; however, he should have no trouble finding another club where he can continue to dominate play on Sundays.

4. John Abraham

Abraham was drafted by the Jets in 2000, and he played for them until 2005. Abraham is best known for his time with the New York Jets, where he recorded 123 tackles, 8 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble over that period of time.

After leaving the NFL, Abraham has since continued playing football outside of North America - most notably in England's Premier League with Leicester City FC. 

John Abraham is currently a free agent and looking to continue playing professional football at a high level moving forward John Abraham is a veteran linebacker who has played for the Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, and Detroit Lions.

He was first-team All-Pro in 2010 and 2013. Abraham is known as one of the most physical linebackers in the NFL and he will often get into messes with offensive players on both sides of the ball. 

Abraham has also been able to create turnovers by forcing fumbles or interceptions, which are two key stats for any linebacker. Although his career may be winding down, John Abraham still poses a major threat on defense and should be considered when comparing potential free-agent targets this offseason.

5. Dunta Robinson

Dunta Robinson is a former cornerback who played for the Atlanta Falcons from 2010-2012. Dunta Robinson was born on April 11, 1982, in Athens, Georgia, and attended Clarke Central High School.

After playing college football at South Carolina, Robinson was drafted by the Houston Texans in 2004 but only spent three seasons with them before joining the Atlanta Falcons. 

In his five years with the Falcons, he made 116 tackles and two interceptions while also starting 29 games at the corner.

Robinson signed with the San Francisco 49ers as a free agent in 2013 but retired after just one season due to injury problems and now works as a coaching assistant for his alma mater Clarke Central High School Dunta Robinson was a highly decorated collegiate player, winning both the Thorpe Award and Bednarik Award while at Florida State.

After being drafted in the first round by the Atlanta Falcons in 2004, Robinson made an immediate impact as one of their starting cornerbacks. 

Following four seasons with Atlanta (2007-2010), Robinson signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an unrestricted free agent in March of 2012. 

In his lone season with KC, Robinson led all NFL corners in interceptions and defensive touchdowns despite playing just 14 games due to injuries sustained early on in the year.

Now 31 years old and coming off a disappointing 2014 season which saw him released by KC after just three months, it will be interesting to see what else Robinson can accomplish on the field next year or beyond.

6. Sterling Sharpe

Sterling Sharpe was a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers from 1988-1994. He had an impressive career with the team, and he was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 2006.

Sterling Sharpe was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 6th, 1965. He attended Glennville High School, where he played football and basketball before turning his attention to football full-time after his junior year.

After playing college ball at South Carolina, Sharpe was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1988 as their first-round pick ( seventh overall). He spent nine seasons with the team before retiring in 1994 due to injury.

Sterling Sharpe is a two-time Pro Bowler (1992 & 1993) and a four-time All-Pro selection (1990–1993). His best season came in 1992 when he caught 91 passes for 1,512 yards and 11 touchdowns – earning him NFL MVP honors along the way.

SterlingSharpe currently works as an analyst for Fox Sports Wisconsin covering both professional and collegiate sports in Wisconsin. Sterling Sharpe was a three-time first-team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowl selection in the NFL. 

He is also one of only two players to ever lead the league in receiving yards, with 2,101 yards in 1994.

Sharpe finished his career with 64 touchdowns on 465 receptions for 11, and guideway man Jerry Rice holds the record with 77 touchdowns on 521 receptions. 

Sterling Sharpe played for four different teams during his 14-year playing career: Carolina Panthers (1989–1992), Green Bay Packers (1993–1994), Baltimore Ravens (1995), and New York Jets (1996).

After retiring from football he started a clothing company that has since become one of America's leading sportswear companies - Nike SB Incorporated.

7. Jadeveon Clowney

Clowney has had a decorated career in the NFL, being named to three Pro Bowls and two All-Pro teams. He was drafted first overall by the Houston Texans in 2014 and quickly became one of the league's best defenders.

In 2018 he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks where he continued his impressive play before an injury ended his season prematurely. Clowney is currently playing for the Cleveland Browns and is considered one of their biggest stars.

Jadeveon Clowney is one of the most dominant defensive players in NFL history. He has recorded 310 total tackles, 43 sacks, 13 forced fumbles, and 8 fumble recoveries over his career. Clowney was a two-time First-team All-American and won the Ted Hendricks Award in 2012 as college football's best defender.

He was drafted by the Houston Texans with the number 1 overall pick in 2014 and quickly established himself as one of the league's top defenders. 

In 2018 he led all NFL defenders with 17 quarterback pressures while also contributing 9 tackles for loss and 2 interceptions from his linebacker position. With an incredible level of dominance on both sides of the ball, Jadeveon Clowney is already cemented into NFL history as one of its greatest defenders ever.

8. A.J. Cann

Cann attended Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School in Bamberg, South Carolina. He played college football at South Carolina and was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Cann has appeared in 36 games over four seasons with the Texans, starting 24 of them. In 2017, he signed a three-year contract extension with the team that would keep him through 2020.

 Cann is considered to be an excellent run blocker and a solid pass protector on offense; his versatility has helped him earn several starts at different positions throughout his career with Houston.

He is married and has one child; he enjoys spending time outdoors fishing and hunting during free time off from football season A.J. Cann is an excellent all-around football player who can play either tackle or guard positions on the offensive line. 

He was a Second-team All-American 2014 and a first-team All-SEC performer in 2014, which showed his talent and ability to dominate defenders on both sides of the ball offensively and defensively.

Cann has started 102 games since entering the NFL in 2015, showing that he is durable and reliable as one of Jacksonville's key starters up front for years to come.

9. D. J. Wonnum

D. J. Wonnum Career

D. J. Wonnum attended Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia and played linebacker for the school's football team as a junior and senior. 

Wonnum was highly recruited by college coaches after his standout play at the high school level and chose to attend South Carolina over offers from several other schools.

As a redshirt freshman during the 2016 season, Wonnum appeared in six games and recorded seven tackles before injuring his shoulder late in the year; 

He missed all of 2017 due to surgery on that shoulder but returned for 2018 with improved form and emerged as one of SC's key defenders beginning in September of that year.

In 2020, Wonnum was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings with their fourth-round pick (117th overall) and has since made two starts for them off the bench while also appearing in five games total across all competitions including four starts this season. D. J. Wonnum is a young, up-and-coming linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings.

He was a standout at Vanderbilt and has continued his success in the NFL so far. In 2019, Wonnum was named to Second Team All-SEC after posting 91 tackles, 14 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 5 pass deflections throughout the season.

His play earned him rave reviews from scouts and analysts alike - he's clearly one of the top prospects in this year's draft class.

At just 23 years old, D.J., as he is commonly known, looks poised to have an illustrious career in the NFL - don't be surprised if you see him make some big plays on Sundays soon.

10. Deebo Samuel

Deebo Samuel was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2019. He played college football at South Carolina and has since been a regular member of the team.

Deebo is known for his speed and ability to make plays downfield, making him a key part of the Niners' offense. In 2018 he set a school record with 1,450 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns on 114 receptions.

As an undrafted rookie in 2019, Deebo made an impact playing both as receiver and returner for San Francisco early in the season before suffering an injury that ended his season prematurely Deebo Samuel is an exciting and versatile player with the ability to make big plays in any game.

He has been one of the best receivers in the NFL for a few years now, and his skills will only continue to improve as he gets older. Samuel was selected first-team All-Pro by the National Football League (NFL) in 2021, making him one of the most accomplished players in his position in recent memory.

He is also a three-time First-team All-American, having won this award back-to-back in 2018 and 2019. His success on the field has led him to numerous other awards, including being named SEC Player of the Year twice (2018, 2019). 

With 12 receiving touchdowns over the past two seasons alone, Samuel clearly knows how to find pay dirt when it matters most - something that can be very dangerous for opposing defenses.

11. Sheldon Brown

Sheldon Brown played cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2002-2008. He was a two-time Pro Bowler and helped lead the team to their first Super Bowl victory in 2008.

Brown attended Richburg High School in Lancaster, South Carolina, and played college football at South Carolina before being drafted by the Eagles. 

Sheldon Brown is one of only four players in NFL history to record over 2,000 tackles, 50 interceptions, and 10 sacks (the others are Rod Woodson, Charles Woodson, and Richard Sherman).

After leaving the NFL Sheldon Brown has worked as an analyst on ESPN's "NFL Sunday Countdown". 

Sheldon Brown married his wife Whitney in 2011 and they have three children together - Sawyer (born 2013), Harper (born 2015), and Lillie Mae (born 2017). Sheldon Brown was a dominant cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns over a 10-year career.

He recorded 6 defensive touchdowns during his time in the NFL, which is an impressive feat. Sheldon Brown was known for his exceptional ball skills and ability to intercept passes. 

His 143 pass deflections are second only to Hall of Famer Joe Montana on the all-time list among cornerbacks. Sheldon Brown also had some strong tackles numbers - he averaged more than 8 per game throughout his career.

The 2006 Pro Bowler announced his retirement following the 2009 season, having played in 158 games (all with Philadelphia or Cleveland). 

After retiring from football, Sheldon became a commentator on Fox Sports 1's "NFL Sunday Countdown". In 2015, he joined ESPN as an analyst for their College Football coverage.

12. Jared Cook

Jared Cook was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2009. He played for them from 2009 to 2012. In 2013, he signed with the Oakland Raiders and has been there since then.

Jared Cook is a tight end and is known for his athleticism and catch radius. He has made several Pro Bowls and All-Pro Teams during his career, most recently in 2018 when he led the Raiders in receiving yards and touchdowns.

Jared Cook will be 36 years old at the end of this season, which shows that he still has some good football left in him. Cook was a third-round draft pick of the St. Louis Rams in 2013 and spent four seasons with them before signing with the Green Bay Packers as a free agent in 2016.

He had his most productive season with Green Barrow, catching 76 passes for 1,214 yards and 10 touchdowns. Cook signed with the Oakland Raiders prior to the 2017 season but only played in six games because of injury. 

The Saints acquired him during waivers at the end of that year and he has been a valuable part of their offense ever since, amassing over 2,000 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns in three seasons together.

The Chargers signed Cook ahead of this past offseason after he spent time on injured reserve with New Orleans due to an ankle injury incurred early last year while playing for Los Angeles against Seattle Seahawks At 31 years old.

It's likely that Cook's best days are behind him but given his consistency throughout his career he is still one of the top tight ends in football.

Rice was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 2007 and has played for them since. He is a receiver and has had success with the Seahawks, amassing over 1,000 yards receiving in each of his three seasons with them.

Rice also holds several team records, including most receptions in a season (112) and most receiving touchdowns (16). 

In 2013, he retired from professional football after playing for the Seahawks for three years; however, he returned to play in 2017 as an honorary captain on their championship squad.

Sidney Rice won a Super Bowl with the Minnesota Vikings in 2008. He was drafted by Seattle Seahawks in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and helped lead them to their first ever championship game in 2013. 

In addition to his playing career, Sidney Rice has also been involved in charity work through his foundation which helps underprivileged youth get a education and opportunity.

Sidney Rice is one of only six players who have had at least 1,000 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns over their rookie season - an achievement that he accomplished twice (2007 & 2009). 

A three-time Pro Bowler with 243 receptions for 3,592 yards and 30 touchdowns during his five seasons as a professional football player - all while battling knee injuries.

Spencer Rattler is a junior quarterback at the University of South Carolina. He led the Gamecocks to an 11-2 record in his freshman season and won SEC Player of the Year honors.

Rattler has been compared to former NFL quarterback Tom Brady due to his accuracy, throwing power and leadership abilities on the field. In 2022, Spencer Rattler will be playing professional football for the Indianapolis Colts as their starting QB.

Spencer Rattler is a sophomore defensive back for the South Carolina Gamecocks and was one of their most consistent players during their run to the 2020 Big 12 Championship. 

Rattler has started all 13 games he's played in at safety and racked up 73 tackles, six interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and a touchdown this season.

He also made an impact on special teams as he registered three punt returns for touchdowns and averaged 25 yards per return throughout his career with SC thus far. 

Rattler will look to lead South Carolina deep into the playoffs next year where they'll face off against either Alabama or Oklahoma in what could be another exciting postseason run for Steve Spurrier's squad.

Hayden Hurst was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2018 NFL Draft. He played college football at South Carolina and was a standout tight end for the team during his four-year career.

Hayden has been noted as an athletic tight end with good hands, which should make him a valuable player on offense for the Bengals. Hayden is still developing as a player and will likely need to continue to work on his consistency in order to improve upon his strengths.

Hayden Hurst was one of the most highly touted players in the 2018 NFL Draft. He was a top tight end prospect and led South Carolina with 61 receptions for 801 yards and seven touchdowns. 

Hayden Hurst is an athletic player who can catch balls anywhere on the field, making him a threat both as a receiver and runner after the catch.

The Baltimore Ravens were lucky to nab Hayden Hurst with their first-round pick (26th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft, as he has been an impactful player from day one. He will be key part of Joe Flacco's offense moving forward. 

With Dennis Pitta retiring last season, Hayden Hurst emerged as Joe Flacco's go-to target downfield, leading all tight ends with 74 catches for 1,051 yards and six touchdowns through 13 games this season before injuring his knee Week 14 against Jacksonville Jaguars).

If healthy, he should continue to produce at an elite level in 2019 and beyond.

George Rogers was a running back for the New Orleans Saints and Washington Redskins in the NFL. George Rogers was a three-time Pro Bowler and was twice named the NFL's Most Valuable Player.

George Rogers is the only player in NFL history to rush for over 2,000 yards and catch over 100 passes. George Rogers was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001. George Rogers is currently the color commentator for the Saints Radio Network.

George Rogers was a key player on the Super Bowl XXII champion New Orleans Saints. Rogers was a three-time Pro Bowler and an All-Rookie Team selection in 1981. He was a Heisman Trophy winner and a consensus All-American in 1980. Rogers was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in 2006.

Rogers is the South Carolina Gamecocks' all-time leading rusher. He retired from the NFL in 1999. Rogers is currently an assistant coach with the Saints. George Rogers is a highly respected member of the Saints community. He is a role model to current and future Saints players.

Spurrier played quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers from 1967-1975. He is most famous for leading the Florida Gators to a national championship in 1996.

He also coached the South Carolina Gamecocks from 1981-2015. In 2016, Spurrier retired from coaching, but will remain with the team as a senior adviser. Spurrier was born on April 20, 1945, in Miami Beach, Florida.

He attended Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tennessee. Spurrier played college football at Florida. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 1967 NFL Draft. Spurrier won three Super Bowls with the 49ers, as well as two with the Gators.

Spurrier is one of the most successful head coaches in college football history. He has led his teams to championships in three different conferences (SEC, ACC, and SEC East) and has amassed a record of 268-119-2. Spurrier is known for his high-octane offenses and innovative play-calling.

He has been credited with popularizing the "Power Spread" offense, which features a variety of short, quick passes. Spurrier is a controversial figure, however. 

He has been accused of coaching dirty, and he has been fined by the NCAA for rules violations on multiple occasions. Spurrier is a passionate and outspoken coach, and he has been known to get emotional during games.

Spurrier retired from coaching following the 2015 season, but he is still active in the sport as an analyst for ESPN. Spurrier was born in 1960 in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Melvin Ingram III is a standout outside linebacker for the Miami Dolphins. Ingram was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 2012, but he was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021.

Connor Shaw is a former American football quarterback who played for the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears in the NFL. Shaw started his career as a quarterback at the Cleveland Browns, but was released in 2014.

He was then picked up by the Bears, and played in all 16 games for them in 2016. Shaw is the director of football relations for the South Carolina Gamecocks. Shaw was born in Georgia in 1991, and attended Flowery Branch High School.

Duce Staley is an assistant head coach for the Detroit Lions. He was previously an NFL running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Detroit Lions.

Duce Staley played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1997 to 2003. He was a part of three Super Bowl-winning teams during his time in Philadelphia. After playing for the Eagles, Staley joined the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He spent four seasons with the Steelers before moving on to the Detroit Lions. Staley has been an assistant head coach for the Lions since 2013. He is responsible for overseeing the running backs on the team. Duce Staley is married and has two children.

Harold Green was a running back for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1990 to 1995. He played in 102 games and had 1,311 yards on 251 carries. Green was a two-time All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowler.

In 1995, he led the Bengals in rushing with 843 yards and 10 touchdowns. After his playing career was over, Green became the head coach of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. He was fired after one year.

Green is now a color commentator for the NFL on CBS. Harold Green was born on January 29, 1968 in Ladson, South Carolina. He played football at Goose Creek High School and then attended South Carolina. Harold Green was drafted by the St.

Bobby Bryant was a cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings from 1968-1980. He was part of the Vikings' 1970 NFC Championship team and was a Pro Bowl selection in 1976.

Bryant was inducted into the Minnesota Vikings Hall of Fame in 1984. Bryant is also a member of the NFL Hall of Fame. Bryant was an all-around player for the Vikings during the late 1960s and early 1970s.

He was a two-time Pro Bowler and helped lead the team to its only NFL championship in 1969. Bryant was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1947. He played college football at the University of Minnesota and was a two-time All-American.

After spending his first four NFL seasons with the Vikings, Bryant was traded to the Baltimore Colts in 1973. He retired from the NFL following the 1976 season. Bryant is a member of the Vikings Hall of Fame and the Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame.

After his playing career, Addison served as the Eagles' head coach from 1976 to 1981. He was inducted into the Eagles' Hall of Fame in 1982. Tom Addison died in 2011 at the age of 75 after a long illness. Tom Addison was a standout player for the Boston Patriots during their time in the AFL.

He was 3-time All-AFL and 4-time AFL All-Star, and was also a part of the Boston Patriots All-1960s Team. Tom Addison originally played collegiately at the University of Notre Dame. 

He was drafted by the Patriots in the 3rd round of the 1960 NFL Draft. Tom Addison played for the Patriots for 10 seasons, from 1960 to 1967.

After his time in Detroit, Edwards spent three seasons with the Oakland Raiders. He recorded 31 sacks and 10 forced fumbles in that time.

Edwards is now a commentator for the NFL on FOX. He provides analysis for games and also provides assistance to players and coaches during halftime shows. 

Edwards was born in Tonga and played college football at the University of Utah. He was selected by the Detroit Lions in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft.

Edwards is married and has two children. He is a devout Mormon and has spoken publicly about his faith.

Dan Reeves was a running back for the Dallas Cowboys from 1965 to 1972. Reeves led the Cowboys to two Super Bowl appearances, in 1971 and 1972. He was inducted into the Cowboys' Hall of Fame in 1980.

Reeves died in 2022, aged 77. Dan Reeves was an assistant coach for the Dallas Cowboys for seven seasons and worked his way up to head coach in 1993. Reeves led the Giants to two NFL championships as head coach from 1993 to 1996.

Reeves was then hired by the Atlanta Falcons, where he remained for seven seasons. Reeves retired from coaching following the 2003 season. Reeves was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006. Reeves is currently a color commentator for the NFL on CBS.
