Chris Waddle was a highly productive winger and attacking midfielder during his career. He started his career at Tow Law Town before moving to Newcastle United in 1980.

Waddle spent six seasons with Tottenham Hotspur, helping the club win three Premier League titles and two FA Cups between 1985 and 1989. 

After leaving Spurs, he joined Marseille in 1992 where he won the French Cup that year as well as another league title in 1995.

He then moved to Sheffield Wednesday where he stayed for four years before retiring in 1996 at the age of 34 due to injury problems sustained while playing for England at Euro 96 that year.

Chris Waddle is a former English football player who played as a midfielder. Chris Waddle made his professional debut with Norwich City in 1984 and went on to play for several other clubs, including Bradford City, Sunderland, Burnley, Torquay United and Glapwell. 

He retired from playing after the 2002 season and later managed Hallam between 2013-2014 before being sacked in February of that year.

In 2006 he was diagnosed with leukaemia but has since recovered fully and continues to work as a football pundit for various networks around the world.

Di Canio is a forward who played for Lazio and Juventus in his career. Di Canio was born on 9 July 1968 in Rome, Italy. In 1985, DiCanio joined Lazio as a youth player and made 54 appearances for the team over four seasons.

In 1986, he moved to Serie A club Ternana on loan where he scored 27 goals in 27 appearances before returning to Juventus in 1990. 

With Juventus, DiCanio won six titles including three consecutive Serie A championships from 1991-1993 which makes him one of the most successful players at the club ever.

Following his time with Juventus, DiCanio signed with Sunderland FC in England but only managed five league games before being sacked by manager. 

Kevin Keegan due to disciplinary reasons later that year Paolo Di Canio is a highly respected Italian football manager who has had success in both his domestic and international career.

Di Canio started his managerial career at Swindon Town before moving to Sunderland, where he led the club to promotion to the Premier League. 

Since leaving Sunderland, Di Canio has taken up roles with Lazio and Cisco Roma, each of which he has won multiple trophies during his tenure. 

In 2013, Paolo DiCanio was appointed head coach of Italy's national team but resigned after just 1 year due to disagreements with the Football Federation over player selection policies.

Michail Antonio is a forward for West Ham United in the Premier League. He was born in Wandsworth, England and started his career at Tooting & Mitcham United.

Antonio has made over 100 appearances for West Ham since joining them in 2015, scoring 26 goals. He represented England at under-16, under-17, under-19, and senior levels before making his full international debut in 2016 against Lithuania.

Des Walker was born in 1965 and began his career with Nottingham Forest. He played for England at youth level, but never made the full national team. He joined Manchester United in 1994 and stayed there until 2003, when he retired from professional football.

After retiring as a player, Des Walker moved into coaching and currently works as an assistant manager at Blackburn Rovers F.C.

Nigel Pearson is a former English defender who played for Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City. He was appointed manager of Bristol City in November 2009, after previously being their assistant manager.

In his first season in charge, Pearson led the club to promotion to League One, where they remained until relegation at the end of the 2013–14 season. 

After two seasons back in League Two, Pearson guided Bristol City back up to League One as champions in 2016–17; this marked his third successive promotion with a different club.

On 10 July 2018 he was sacked by Bristol City following a poor run of results which left them 19th out of 20 clubs in the Football League.

He has also managed Trinidad and Tobago national team, Huddersfield Town, Notts County, Leeds United U21s, Barnsley U23s, Leicester City's reserve side Exeter Chiefs' development squad and Crawley Town's academy staff as caretaker-manager during December 2017 while Eddie Howe took leave due to ill health.

Nigel Pearson commenced playing senior football at Shewsbury Town before joining local rivals Sheffield Wednesday on 1 January 1981 aged just 18 years old making 153 appearances scoring 5 goals over six seasons including winning both The FA Cup (1985) & UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup (1986).

It wasn't long before Graham made history when starting against Liverpool – becoming only second player ever behind Billy Bremner & Ian Rush from non-league Shewsbury town side Shrewsbury Town to play 100 league games for one club.

(After leaving Wednesday he would go on loan later that year join Notts County helping them gain promotion via playoff). 

On 12 May 1987 Nigel signed for reigning Division 2 Champions Sheffield Wednesday achieving many honours such as reaching European competition twice more losing finalists 1986/87 UEFA Champions Clubs Tournament then winners 1988/89 Intertoto Cup but never getting past.

First round proper until 1992 beating Feyenoord Rotterdam 3-1 aggie fans were ecstatic, gaining entry into prestigious Club World Championship held by Spanish giant Valencia CF.

Eventually losing 2-1 away from home after extra time despite having world-class players like Gary Speed (Aston Villa), Paul McGrath (Rangers), Chris Waddle (& Wimbledon) etc available.

Lucas João is a 29-year-old Portuguese forward who currently plays for Reading. Lucas started his career with Beira Mar Almada before moving to Nacional in 2011.

In 2012, he joined Premier League side Fulham on loan and made 11 appearances during the season. After returning to Fulham in 2013, he was loaned out again to Championship club Reading until the end of the 2014–15 season where he scored 10 goals in 48 appearances.

Roland Nilsson is a former Swedish defender who played for several teams in his career, most notably IFK Göteborg and Sheffield Wednesday. Nilsson was born in Helsingborg in 1963 and started playing football at Helsingborgs IF at the age of 14.

Nilsson made his professional debut in 1981 with Helsingborgs IF and went on to make 124 appearances for the club. 

Nilsson joined IFK Göteborg in 1989 and played 152 games for the club before moving to Sheffield Wednesday in 1994. Nilsson retired from football in 1997 but returned to play for Helsingborgs IF in 1999.

Kuqi is a striker who has played for a number of clubs in his career, most notably HJK Helsinki, FC Jokerit, Sheffield Wednesday, and Stockport County. He started his career at Serbian club Trepca, before moving to Finnish side KaPa-51 in 1990.

Kuqi joined English side Sheffield Wednesday in 2002, and scored 64 goals in 127 appearances for the club.

Darko Kovačević is a Serbian professional footballer who currently plays for Olympiacos. Kovačević started his career with Radnički Kovin before joining Partizan in 1995.

Imre Varadi was born in London, England in 1959. Varadi started his career at Letchworth before moving to Sheffield United in 1978. He spent the majority of his career with Everton, playing 26 games between 1979 and 1983.

In 1983, he joined Wednesday. He played 76 games for the club before retiring in 1985. Varadi has since been involved in coaching, working at both Newcastle United and Sheffield Wednesday. He was appointed manager of Hungarian side Debrecen in December 2018.

Carlton Palmer is a former English footballer who played as a midfielder. Palmer started his career at Chelsea, before moving to West Bromwich Albion. He spent three seasons at Sheffield Wednesday before joining Leeds United.

Kevin Pressman is a former goalkeeper who played for Sheffield Wednesday, Stoke City and Grantham Town. In 1987, Pressman joined Wednesday and went on to make 404 appearances for the club.

He was later appointed manager of Coventry City and led them to promotion to the Premier League in his first season at the club. 

Pressman left Coventry City in 2009 to take up the managerial position at Scunthorpe United. He resigned from his position at Scunthorpe United in December 2013 after failing to win any of their first 15 matches in charge.

Mark Pembridge is a Welsh midfielder who has played for several teams in the English Premier League and the Football League. Pembridge started his career at Welsh club Swansea City, before moving to Premier League side Leeds United in 1991.

Jens Niclas Alexandersson is a Swedish winger who played for Hammarby IF and Sweden national team. Alexandersson started his senior career with Hammarby IF in 1989.

Martin Hodge is a former English goalkeeper who played for Everton and Plymouth Argyle. He made his debut for Everton in 1979 and went on to make 25 appearances for the club.

He moved to Plymouth Argyle in 1983 and played 43 games for the club before retiring in 1985. He has since been involved in coaching and is currently the goalkeeping coach at Bolton Wanderers.

He was named the Everton goalkeeper of the year in 1980 and 1981. He was also named the Football League goalkeeper of the year in 1979. He has been capped by England at international level and made his debut in 1980.

He spent two seasons at Hartlepool before joining Rochdale in 1994. Hodge joined Plymouth Argyle in 1996 and went on to make 169 appearances for the Pilgrims.

He retired from playing in 2001 and went on to manage Scunthorpe United, Plymouth Argyle, and Milton Keynes Dons. Hodge is currently the head coach of Doncaster Rovers. He is the father of current Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Hodge.

Lee Bullen is a Scottish football player who has played for Ayr United in the Scottish Premier League. He began his career at Dunfermline Athletic, before moving to Penicuik Athletic and then Meadowbank Thistle.

He made his debut for Ayr United in the Scottish Premier League in 1990. He has played for Scotland at Under-21 level, and has also earned five caps for the full national team. He retired from professional football in 2007, after playing for Sheffield Wednesday in the Premier League.

He is currently the manager of Ayr United. He was inducted into the Ayrshire Sports Hall of Fame in 2009. He has two sons, one of whom plays for Manchester United.
