Van Hooijdonk is a striker who played for RBC Roosendaal, NAC Breda, Celtic and Nottingham Forest in his career. In 2001 he joined Benfica where he spent two seasons before moving to Vitesse Amsterdam in 2003.

Van Hooijdonk retired from playing football in 2007 after failing to win a place at Vitesse's first team and later worked as their sporting director until his departure in 2015. 

He was born on 29 November 1969 in Steenbergen, Netherlands and has three children with Dutch model Tonje Bakker: daughters Amalia (born 2002) and Eloise (born 2004), son Maxime (2006).

Van Hooijdonk made his international debut for the Netherlands national football team on 11 December 1989 against Spain.[3] He scored one goal during this match which helped the Netherlands reach the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 1996 where they were defeated by England.

After retiring from professional football, van Hooijdonk became assistant coach at Feyenoord Rotterdam but left them after just over two months due to personal reasons[5].

On 9 October 2015 it was announced that van Hooijdonk had been appointed Sporting Director of Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen,[6] a position he resigned from less than six months later citing differences with new head coach Fred Rutten. 

Pierre van Hoojikn currently works as an ambassador for various charities including FIFPro – The International Federation of Professional Footballers' Associations – cancer support organisation Breast Cancer UK and children's charity Kindness Ambassadors Holland.

Wilfried Bony is a Ivorian striker who has played for several teams in Europe, most notably Sparta Prague and Swansea City. 

He began his career at Maracanã Bingerville before moving on to play for Cyril Domoraud Academy and then Sparta Prague.

In 2011, he joined Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem where he scored 46 goals in 65 appearances over two seasons. 

He signed for English club Swansea City in 2013 and quickly became a fan favourite with his clinical finishing ability. 

He left the Liberty Stadium after six years to join Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG in January 2018 as part of a £30 million deal that made him the world's highest paid player at the time.

Theo Janssen is a Dutch midfielder who currently plays for Vitesse. Theo Janssen began his youth career with Vitesse before moving on to play for several other Dutch clubs including Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven.

In 2012, Theo Janssen joined Vitesse in the Netherlands Premier League where he has since played 143 matches scoring 19 goals. 

Ahead of the UEFA Europa League group stage match between Ajax and Vitesse, it was announced that Theo Janssen had been diagnosed with testicular cancer but would continue to play as scheduled pending further tests results later this week which are expected to be positive.

Phillip Cocu was born on October 29, 1970 in Eindhoven, Netherlands. He is a Dutch football midfielder who played for AZ Alkmaar and PSV before moving to Barcelona as a professional player in 2004.

Cocu won the Spanish League title with Barcelona in 2006 and 2007 before joining Qatar's Al Jazira club in 2008. In July 2014 he signed with Vitesse Arnhem of the Netherlands' Eredivisie league after leaving his previous team without playing a game due to an injury sustained two years earlier.

Cocu has been capped 104 times by the Netherland national team since making his debut against Wales on November 21, 1996.

Roy Makaay is a Dutch football striker who played for Bayern Munich, Feyenoord and Deportivo La Coruña. Makaay started his career at SC Woezik, before moving to DIOSA and then to Blauw Wit Nijmegen.

Houwen joined Vitesse in the summer of 2016 from fellow Eredivisie side FC Twente. He made his debut for the club in a 3-2 Eredivisie victory over PEC Zwolle on 18 August 2016.

Nicky Hofs is a Dutch footballer who plays as a midfielder for Feyenoord. He started his career at Arnhemse Boys before joining Dutch side Vitesse in 2001.

Mitchell Dijks is a Dutch professional footballer who currently plays for Vitesse. Dijks made his professional debut with Ajax in 2009 and has since played for clubs including Vitesse, FC Utrecht, Middlesbrough, and Crystal Palace.

Edward Sturing is a defender who played for De Graafschap and Vitesse in the Netherlands during the 1980s and 1990s. He made 326 appearances for Vitesse and 452 for De Graafschap.

Edward Sturing was born in Apeldoorn in 1963 and began his career with De Graafschap. He made his debut for the club in 1982 and went on to make 123 appearances for them over the next seven years.

In 1987, Sturing moved to Vitesse and he spent the next 329 seasons with them. He is the club's all-time appearance record holder, and he helped Vitesse to two Eredivisie titles and two KNVB Cups. Edward Sturing announced his retirement from professional football in 1998.

He has since been involved in coaching and managing at various levels. Edward Sturing is a former Dutch football manager who most recently served as caretaker manager of Vitesse in the Dutch Eredivisie. 

Sturing began his managerial career with Vitesse in 1999, serving as an assistant before being appointed caretaker manager in 2007.

He later managed Volendam and Kayseri Erciyesspor before returning to Vitesse in 2016. In 2018, he was appointed caretaker manager of Vitesse following the sacking of Erwin Koeman. 

He is currently the assistant manager of Dutch club Jong Vitesse. Sturing was born in the Netherlands in 1969. He played as a midfielder for several Dutch clubs, including Vitesse, Volendam, and Kayseri Erciyesspor.

He retired from professional football in 2003. Edward Sturing was appointed manager of the Dutch national team in January 2019.

Chris van der Weerden is a former Dutch international footballer who played as a right-back. He is currently an assistant manager at SBV Vitesse.

John van den Brom is a Dutch international midfielder who played for Vitesse and Ajax. Van den Brom made his professional debut for Vitesse in 1986 and went on to score 80 goals in 225 appearances for the club.
