The Saudi Professional League, commonly referred to as the SPL, is the top professional football league in Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 1976 and has been a major force in the development of football in the country.

The SPL is composed of 16 teams that compete in a round-robin tournament format. The league is highly competitive and features some of the top players in the region.

The league season runs from August to May, with teams playing each other on a home-and-away basis. The champion of the SPL is crowned at the end of each season and is rewarded with a place in the AFC Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest football players in history. He started his career at Sporting CP and went on to play for some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Vincent Aboubakar is a striker who has played for teams such as Coton Sport, Valenciennes, Lorient and Porto. He has been capped 33 times by Cameroon and scored 16 goals.

Vincent Aboubakar was born in 1992 in the Central African country of Cameroon. After starting his career with local side Coton Sport, he joined French outfit Valenciennes in 2009.

Léandre Tawamba is a Cameroonian forward who currently plays for Al-Taawoun. Tawamba started his career at Eding before moving to Jeunesse Star in 2009.

He made his senior debut with Partizan in 2017 and has since scored 12 goals in 40 appearances. Tawamba was born on 20 December 1989, making him one of the younger players in the Champions League this season.

Léandre is known as an aggressive forward who likes to score goals from close range or around the box; he has also been praised for his speed and dribbling ability.

Adam Maher is a Moroccan international footballer who currently plays for Damac FC. Maher started his career at SV Diemen before moving to AVV Zeeburgia in 2004.

He spent four seasons with AZ, making over 100 appearances and scoring 20 goals. In 2010, Maher signed for Dutch side PSV Eindhoven where he has made over 150 appearances and scored 34 goals since joining the club.

Marega is a French striker who has played for Al Hilal in Qatar and Porto in Portugal. Marega joined Portuguese giants Porto from Les Ulis Saint-Germain in the summer of 2018 for a fee reported to be £33 million.

In 222 appearances for Les Ulis Saint-Germain, Marega scored 108 goals, making him one of the leading scorers in Ligue 1 history. 

After joining Porto, Marega made his debut on 24 August 2018 against Braga; he came on as a substitute for Vincent Aboubakar late into the second half and helped seal victory with an 84th minute goal.

At international level, Marega has represented France at under-21 level and was part of their squad that finished runners up at the 2015 European Championship (where he also featured in two group stage matches).
