Landon Donovan is a former American professional soccer player who played for LA Galaxy and Bayern Munich. He was born in Ontario, California on March 4th 1982.

Donovan started his career with Bayer Leverkusen II before joining San Jose Earthquakes on loan in 2001. After leaving San Jose Earthquakes, Landon signed for LA Galaxy where he made 247 appearances over the course of 11 seasons.

In 2009, he joined Bundesliga side Bayern Munich on loan and helped them win the Champions League that season. 

He returned to Everton in 2012 after two years at Bayern Munich and retired from playing professionally at the end of 2014 Landon Donovan is a retired American soccer player who represented his country in 157 appearances.

He first came to prominence as a member of the United States U23 team, where he helped them win the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup and 2002 FIFA World Cup qualifying tournaments. 

Donovan later spent time with Spanish club Valencia before joining Major League Soccer's LA Galaxy in 2006. With LA Galaxy, Donovan won two MLS Cups (2008, 2011) and was also named league MVP twice (2007, 2010).

After leaving LA Galaxy at the end of the 2014 season, Donovan signed with English club Everton but only made one appearance for them before retiring from professional football aged 36 years old in 2016. 

Since retiring from playing professionally, Landon has been involved in coaching both at youth level and abroad with AC Milan and Liga MX side León respectively.

Wynalda was born in Fullerton, California and played college soccer at San Diego State. Wynalda made his professional debut with the San Diego Nomads of the USISL in 1988 before transferring to Germany to play for 1.

FC Saarbrücken two years later. Wynalda spent six seasons playing for MLS clubs Atlanta Silverbacks (1996-1999) and San Jose Clash (1999-2002). He also had a brief loan spell with Liga MX side León in 1999. 

After retiring from playing professionally, Wynalda coached various youth teams before being appointed head coach of the United States Under-23 Men's National Team in 2013 Eric Wynalda is a former U.S.

international soccer player who played 106 games for his country from 1990 to 2000. He started out as an attacking midfielder with the Tampa Bay Mutiny in Major League Soccer before playing for other clubs in America and Europe, including Chicago Fire, Charleston Battery, Bakersfield Brigade and San Diego Flash. 

In 2001 he moved to England to play for the Revolution and then returned home to play for the Philadelphia Union before retiring in 2007 at age 36 after a successful managerial career with both Cal FC (2010-2011) and Atlanta Silverbacks (2012-2014).

Monteiro was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands and started playing football at a young age. He played for Dutch side Dordrecht before moving to the United States to play college football with Georgetown University.

After two years with the Hoyas, Monteiro signed with San Jose Earthquakes in 2016 where he has since made over 130 appearances in MLS. 

In 2019, Monteiro helped San Jose reach the Western Conference Finals where they were narrowly defeated by Los Angeles FC on penalties after a 0-0 draw in regulation time.

Having spent his entire career in America so far, Monteiro is currently contracted to San Jose until 2020 and is also linked with an overseas move next season as he looks to further his career abroad. 

Monteiro started his senior career with Dutch side Cambuur in 2015, before moving to Heracles Almelo the following year.

After a loan spell at Metz, he joined Philadelphia Union for the 2018 MLS season. He has made appearances for Cape Verde and Portugal's national team in recent years.

Carlos Gruezo is a Ecuadorian midfielder who currently plays for FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga. Carlos Gruezo started his career at Unión Deportiva Juvenil and made an impression with LDU Quito later on.

De Rosario is a Canadian international midfielder who has played for clubs in Germany, the United States, and Canada. He is best known for his time with San Jose Earthquakes, where he was a crucial part of the team's run to the MLS Cup in 2006.

Jeff Agoos played for F.C. Dallas from 1990-1992 and was a part of the team's MLS Cup championship in 1991. Agoos then played for the Maryland Bays of the American Professional Soccer League from 1991-1992.

Shea Salinas is a professional American football player. He was born in Lubbock, Texas, in 1986. He played college football at Furman University. He has played as a winger and left-back in the NFL.

He has also played for the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers. He has made over 100 appearances in the NFL. He has also played for the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys.

After retiring from professional football, Shea Salinas moved to become a coach with the San Jose Earthquakes II.

Ronald Cerritos was born in San Salvador, El Salvador in 1975. He played for ADET from 1993-1997 and then joined the San Jose Earthquakes in 1997. He spent three seasons with the Earthquakes before moving to Dallas Burn in 2002.

Cerritos enjoyed a successful two-year spell with Dallas Burn, scoring 38 goals in total. In 2004, Cerritos joined Deportivo Saprissa in El Salvador. He stayed with Deportivo Saprissa for three seasons before joining Salvadoran side Municipal Atlético Marte in 2007.

Cerritos left Municipal Atlético Marte in 2009 and joined Águila in 2010. Cerritos moved to Honduras side Atlético Motagua in 2013. Cerritos retired from professional football in 2015. Ronald Cerritos played for D.C. United from 2003-2004 and then for Alianza from 2004-2005.

Cerritos had a successful international career with El Salvador, playing 70 matches and scoring 8 goals.

Doyle was born in San Jose, California, in 1966. Doyle started his career in 1985 with the San Francisco Dons of the USISL. Doyle made his MLS debut with the San Francisco Bay Blackhawks in 1990.

Doyle spent three seasons with the Bay Blackhawks before joining Örgryte IS of the Swedish league in 1992. 

Doyle rejoined the Bay Blackhawks in 1993 and remained with the team until 1997. Doyle signed with the Earthquakes in 1997 and spent six seasons with the team, helping them to two MLS championships and two US Open Cup titles.

Doyle retired from playing in 2003 and later served as a coach with the Earthquakes and the US U-20 team. Doyle was inducted into the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame in 2007. 

Doyle currently works as a soccer analyst for Fox Sports. Doyle played in Germany for a number of years, before moving to the United States to play for the San Jose Earthquakes.

Doyle was a part of the U.S. Men's Soccer team that won the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 1991. He later managed the San Jose Earthquakes, before stepping down after two seasons in 2005.

Ronnie Ekelund was born in Glostrup, Denmark in 1972. Ekelund started his career with Brøndby in 1988 and helped them achieve promotion to the Danish Superliga in 1992.

Ekelund then moved to Spain to play for Barcelona B and Barcelona, where he made one appearance in the 1994-95 season. In 1995, Ekelund moved to Southampton on a loan deal and played 17 games for the Saints.

After his loan spell at Southampton ended, Ekelund returned to Denmark to play for Brøndby for the rest of the 1995-96 season. In 1996, Ekelund signed for Southampton on a permanent basis and went on to play over 100 games for the club.

After leaving Southampton in 2001, Ekelund had a brief spell playing in the United States with Chivas USA before returning to Denmark to play for AGF Aarhus. In 2013, Ekelund retired from professional football after playing for Danish side Midtjylland.

Ronnie Ekelund currently works as a football coach in Denmark.

Khari Stephenson is a Jamaican international footballer who plays as a midfielder for MLS side Columbus Crew. Stephenson began his career with Real Mona in Jamaica and played for Williams Ephs in the United States before joining MLS side Columbus Crew in 2008.

Stephenson has represented Jamaica at the senior international level and has made over fifty appearances, scoring six goals. Stephenson is a devout Christian and has spoken about his faith influencing his play in the midfield. 

Stephenson is a member of the Jamaican national team and was part of the team that reached the 2010 World Cup.

Darren Carl Huckerby was born on 23 April 1976 in Nottingham, England. He started his career at Notts County before joining Norwich City in 2001. He has made over 230 appearances for the Canaries, scoring 36 goals.

Huckerby has also spent time with Stockport County, Walsall, Sheffield United, Bristol City and Blackburn Rovers, as a player and coach. 

He has been a coach with the Norwich City Academy since 2013. Huckerby retired from playing in 2012, but continues to coach with the Norwich City Academy.

He was made Academy Coach at Norwich City in November 2016. Huckerby is a full England international, having made 44 appearances for his country.

Final Words

The San Jose Earthquakes are a professional soccer team based in San Jose, California. The team was founded in 1996 and played its first season in the American Professional Soccer League.

The Earthquakes won the Western Conference championship in their inaugural year, and reached the 1998 US Open Cup final, losing to D.C. United. The Earthquakes made the playoffs in each of their next six seasons, but never reached the MLS Cup final.

The team’s fortunes changed in 2003, when they acquired David Beckham and signed him to a multi-year contract. The Earthquakes finished first in the Western Conference and reached the MLS Cup final, where they lost to the Dallas Burn.
