Sagan Tosu FC is a professional football club based in Tosu, Saga Prefecture, Japan. Founded in 1997, the club was formed from the remnants of Tosu Futures, who had become insolvent the previous month. They were admitted to the Japan Football League from 1997 to 1998 and the J. League Cup in 1997.

In 1999, they were one of the “Original Ten” to be admitted to the newly formed J. League Division 2 (J2). Since then, Sagan Tosu FC have gone on to have a successful career, winning the J2 championship in 2011 and becoming the first team from Saga Prefecture to be promoted to the J1 League. They have since established themselves as a mid-table team in the top division of Japanese football.

Segundo Víctor Ibarbo is a Colombian winger who currently plays for Japanese club V-Varen Nagasaki. He began his senior career at Club La Cantera in 2001, before moving to Greek side PAOK FC in 2006.

Ibarbo joined Panathinaikos in 2016, and helped the team win the Superleague title that year. He has also represented Colombia at youth level, making 33 appearances between 2001 and 2008.

Daichi Kamada is a Japanese attacking midfielder who currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt. He started his career with Kids FC in 2008 and quickly established himself as one of the most promising young players in Japan.

Yuji Ono is a Japanese attacking midfielder who currently plays for Sagan Tosu. Ono started his career with Yokosuka F. Marinos in the J1 League, and helped the club to promotion to the J.

League Division 1 in his debut season. He then moved to Nara Club in the J2 League, where he won the J2 League Golden Boot and J2 League Division 2 title in his first two seasons with the club.

Naoyuki Fujita is a midfielder for Sagan Tosu and was born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1987. He started his career with Cerezo Osaka, playing for them from 2004 to 2009.

Yosuke Yuzawa was born on 31 December 1990 in the town of Nikkō in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. He started playing football at the age of six, and attended the Tochigi Prefectural Aichi Soccer School.
