The Ryder Cup is one of the most exciting events in men’s golf, pitting the best players from Europe and the United States against each other in a biennial competition. Named after the English businessman Samuel Ryder, who donated the iconic trophy, the event is administered jointly by the PGA of America and Ryder Cup Europe.

Taking place on alternating courses in Europe and America, the Ryder Cup is much more than just a golf tournament, with dramatic matches and intense rivalries that have spanned generations.

He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1987. In 2014, Brooks Koepka became the youngest player ever to win on the PGA Tour when he captured the Valspar Championship at just 21 years of age.

 His biggest victory to date came at the 2018 Masters Tournament where he defeated Jordan Spieth by three shots in a playoff for his first major championship title. 

Brooks Koepka also won two majors in 2019 – The Open Championship and U.S. Open – making him one of only four players in history to achieve this feat (the others being Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy).

As well as winning numerous tournaments on tour, Brooks Koepka has also been crowned Player of the Year twice - once by the golfers' association Golf Writers Association of America (GAA) and again by members of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA).

Collin Morikawa is a professional golfer who turned pro in 2019. Collin Morikawa was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Collin Morikawa has played on the PGA Tour and the European Tour since turning professional.

In 2018, Collin Morikawa won the Web.com Tour's season-ending event, The Greenbrier Classic, becoming only the second player to win both an NCAA title (at UC Berkeley) and a PGA Tour event (the Puerto Rico Open). 

With his victory at The Greenbrier Classic in 2018, Collin became eligible to play on one of Europe's main tours for 2019 - the ChallengeTour - which he did later that year with three top 10 finishes including a T-3 at the Julius Baer Swiss Open presented by SCG Invest Sàrl.

Collin married Katherine Zhu in 2022 Collin Morikawa is a professional golfer who has won six times on the PGA Tour. He has also achieved some success on the European Tour, winning four times. 

His best results in major championships have been at the Master's Tournament, where he finished fifth in 2022, and at the PGA Championship, where he won in 2020. 

Morikawa was runner-up twice more during his career - once on the U.S Open circuit and once at The Open Championship. He now works as an analyst for Golf Channel Asia Pacific.

11. Tommy Fleetwood

 Fleetwood was born in 1991 in Southport, Merseyside, England to Pauline (née Smith) and Thomas Fleetwood Sr., an Englishman who played football for Bolton Wanderers and Liverpool FC respectively before becoming a sports agent.

Growing up, Tommy attended St Bede's School which he left at 18 years old to focus on his golfing career full-time after winning several junior tournaments including the Canada Cup which earned him an exemption into the 2009 British Masters.

Where he finished tied for seventeenth place alongside other young Brits such as Jordan Spieth, Justin Rose, Rickie Fowler, et al.

 From there it was off to America’s elite college amateur circuit where again he performed well enough to retain his Golf Monthly Amateur of the Year title ahead of some big names such as Keegan Bradley et al.

Once back home with more experience under his belt, Tom continued playing events all over Europe but also reached further than ever by competing on both sides of the Atlantic. 

Taking part successfully in three FedExCup Playoffs culminating finally with victory at THE NORTHERN IRISH OPEN held at Royal Portrush Golf Club near Antrim Northern Ireland.

More recently Tommy has been putting together consistent performances both individually AND collectively as part of Team GB’s Men’s World Team Champions side that took out.

The Presidents Cup event last month hosted by Shinnecock Hills Country Club Long Island New York USA beating Sweden.

In 2007, he became only the third player to win both The Open Championship and The Masters Tournament in one calendar year, as well as becoming Spanish Champion that same year. 

Sergio García retired from competitive golf after playing his last round of tour events at 2017's PGA Championship but returned for play in 2019 with some less prestigious events under his belt already completed.

16. Bubba Watson

18. Shane Lowry

He has won 21 tournaments, including three majors (the Master's Tournament in 2016 and the U.S. Open in 2020 and 2021). 

Casey is also well-known for his consistency off the course – he's been nominated for several awards, most notably the Sir Henry Cotton Award, which recognizes British players with distinguished careers outside of golf.

Casey will be looking to build on his recent successes this season when he plays at The Championships later this month.

20. Tony Finau

In addition to his success on tour, Tony Finau has also had some good results in major championships, including fifth-place finishes at both Masters Tournament (in 2019) and the U.S.

He has 10 professional wins, including two majors - the 2016 U.S. Open and 2018 PGA Championship. He was ranked 5th in the world as of 24 January 2021 but fell down the rankings later that year due to injuries sustained in early December 2020. 

In late 2019 he made a comeback to competitive golf, winning three tournaments within six weeks before finishing 2nd at The Master's Tournament behind Justin Thomas in April 2020.
