It is unclear if this affected his recruitment to college football teams but it did not stop him from pursuing football at the next level.

He performed so well that he was named to the SEC All-Freshman team alongside star players Amari Cooper and T.J. Yeldon. In his sophomore year, Kelly stepped up as the starting center after Jones left for the NFL draft.

As a starter, he was in charge of calling plays and managing an offensive line that ranked fourth in fewest sacks allowed per game among SEC teams and 23rd nationally. Kelly became an important player on Alabama’s football team thanks to his incredible skills both offensively and defensively.

His talent did not go unnoticed as he received several accolades throughout his college career. Thanks to Kelly’s standout performances on the field, he helped lead Alabama to victory multiple times, including their championship win against Clemson in 2016.

Professional career

Ever since then, Kelly has contributed heavily to the Colts’ success on the field through his impeccable skills and talent as a center.

His career highlights include assisting Frank Gore become one of five players in NFL history to rush for over 1,000 yards at age 33 or older.[10] In addition, during his rookie year season in 2016, Kelly started all eleven games that he appeared in before receiving an injury that placed him on injured reserve.
