Paul Gascoigne is one of the most decorated English footballers of all time, with a total of eight league titles and three FA Cups to his name. He began his career at Newcastle United before moving to Tottenham Hotspur in 1988.

At Spurs, he formed an attacking midfield partnership with Gary Lineker that won them two Premier League championships and the European Cup Winners' Cup. 

In 1992, Gascoigne moved to Lazio where he spent four seasons playing under manager Francesco Totti before returning to England in 1996 with Middlesbrough.

He retired from professional football in 2000 after failing to recapture his form for Middlesbrough or Sunderland following a lengthy injury lay-off. 

Since retiring from football, Gascogige has pursued a variety of other interests including acting and writing books about his life as a footballer.

Mark Hateley was born in 1961 in Derby, England. He began his career at Nottingham Forest, where he made 93 appearances in total. In 1980, he moved to the Detroit Express, where he made 19 appearances.

He was then signed by Arsenal in 1983, and made 156 appearances for them over the course of 11 seasons. In 1988, he joined Sheffield Wednesday, where he made 119 appearances. He retired from playing in 1996.

He has since gone on to manage several clubs, most notably Queens Park Rangers and Coventry City. He is currently the manager of League One side Walsall. Mark Hateley is one of the most successful English strikers of all time, with 146 goals in 511 appearances.

Mark Hateley played for a number of clubs in England and was capped for England U21s. He was manager of Hull City for a short period of time in 1997. 

He later had a successful managerial career at clubs such as Leeds United, Monaco and Rangers. He retired from managerial duties in 2006.

He now works as a football commentator. Hateley is currently the Assistant Manager at QPR. He has also been involved in coaching roles at various clubs.

Ally McCoist is a Scottish footballer who played as a striker. McCoist started his career at Fir Park Boys Club before moving to Rangers in 1982. He was part of the side that won the Scottish Premier Division in 1985 and the Scottish Cup in 1986.

McCoist spent the next few seasons playing in France, before returning to Scotland to play for Dunfermline Athletic.

Allan McGregor is a Scottish goalkeeper who currently plays for Rangers. McGregor started his career with Hutchison Vale before moving to Rangers in 2001.

McGregor has made over 350 appearances for Rangers and has won several honours including the Scottish Premier League in 2003 and 2005. McGregor was also part of the Scotland national team which reached the semi-finals of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Brian Laudrup is a former Danish football player who is best known for his time with Bayern Munich. Laudrup played for Danish clubs Brøndby and Bayern Munich before moving to Italian side Fiorentina.

Laudrup was one of the most successful Danish football players of all time, winning two Bundesliga titles and the 1993-94 Serie A title with Milan. He later played for Spanish side Barcelona and Greek side Olympiacos before finishing his career with Danish side Copenhagen.

Barry Ferguson was born in Hamilton, Scotland in 1978 and played for Rangers SABC before moving to Rangers FC. Ferguson made 151 appearances for Rangers FC over a period of seven years before moving to Birmingham City in 2003.

Jörg Albertz was born in 1971 in Mönchengladbach, Germany. He started his career at PSV Mönchengladbach in 1975 and went on to play for Borussia Mönchengladbach for the majority of his career.

Nacho Novo is a Spanish forward who played for Racing Ferrol, Somozas, and Huesca in the La Liga. Novo was born in Ferrol, Spain, in 1979 and started playing football at the age of six.

Davie Wilson was born in 1937 in Cambuslang, Glasgow, Scotland. Wilson started his career with Baillieston Juniors in 1954. He then joined Rangers in 1956 and played for the club until 1967.

John Greig is a Scottish football defender who played for Rangers in the 1960s. Greig was born in Edinburgh in 1942 and started his career with United Crossroads before joining Rangers in 1959.

Jim Baxter was a Scottish footballer who played for Nottingham Forest and Scotland. Baxter was born in 1939 and started his career with Halbeath Juveniles in the Scottish Junior Football League.

Derek Johnstone was born on 4 November 1953 in Dundee, Scotland. He started his career with Dundee United, playing in their first team from 1971 to 1974.

Ian McColl was born in Alexandria, Scotland in 1927. McColl started playing football at a young age, and joined Vale of Leven in 1943. McColl went on to play for Queen's Park, before joining Hibernian in 1952.

McColl made his Scottish international debut in 1955, and went on to play 94 times for his country. 

McColl played his final game for Scotland in 1969, and retired from football later that year. McColl began working as a coach with Hibernian in 1970, and continued to work with the club for the rest of his career.

McColl died on 25 October 2008, aged 81. McColl was a defender, and is best known for his time with Hibernian. McColl was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 1987. 

Ian McColl began his managerial career with Scotland in 1960. McColl led Scotland to a runners-up finish in the 1960 World Cup. McColl also led Sunderland to promotion to the English Premier League in 1967.

McColl led the Vancouver Royal Canadians to the North American Soccer League championship in 1968. McColl returned to Scotland to manage Aberdeen in 1970 before retiring from coaching. 

McColl was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 2006. Ian McColl passed away in February of 2017.

He was a member of the Rangers team that won the Scottish League championship in 1933 and 1939. He is remembered as one of the greatest Scottish football players of all time. 

Bob McPhail was born in 1923 in Pollok, Glasgow, Scotland. Bob McPhail started his career with Airdrieonians in 1923 and played for them until 1927.

In 1927, McPhail joined Rangers and played for them until 1940. McPhail played for Scotland in 1927 and 1936. McPhail was a part of the Scottish League XI from 1926 to 1936. 

McPhail retired from playing in 1940. After retirement, McPhail worked as a coach for Rangers. McPhail died in 2017 at the age of 97.

Sandy Archibald was born in 1916 in Raith, Scotland. He played for Raith Rovers from 1916 to 1934, and Rangers from 1934 to 1935.

He made his international debut for Scotland in 1918, and represented the country in the 1920 and 1930 World Cup tournaments. After retiring from playing, Archibald became a manager, most notably with Raith Rovers and Dunfermline.

David Meiklejohn was a Scottish footballer who played as a centre back or right half. He played for Celtic and Airdrie in the Scottish Football League. Meiklejohn was capped by Scotland nine times, and played at the 1934 World Cup.

Meiklejohn died in 1959 at the age of 58. David Meiklejohn played for Rangers from 1919 to 1936, making 490 appearances and scoring 42 goals in the process. He achieved international recognition in 1922 when he made his Scotland debut and went on to play 15 times.

He was manager of Partick Thistle from 1947 to 1959, winning the Scottish League title in 1953 and 1954. David Meiklejohn died in 1959 at the age of 60.

Robert Cumming Hamilton was born on May 13, 1877 in Elgin, Scotland. Hamilton played for Elgin City in Scottish Football League from 1896 to 1897. He then played for Queen's Park in the Scottish Football League from 1897 to 1898.

Dougie Gray was born in 1905 in Alford, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Gray played his football for local side Alford Thistle before joining Glasgow Rangers in 1926.

He made over 350 appearances for Rangers and won four Scottish League titles, three Scottish Cups and two League Cups. Gray also played for England on seven occasions, making his debut in 1931.

Gray retired from football in 1958 and later worked as a coach at Rangers. Gray died in 1972 in Glasgow at the age of 66-67. Gray is regarded as one of the greatest defenders in Scottish football history.

Gray is the only player to captain both Rangers and England. Gray was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 2006. Dougie Gray started his senior career with Rangers before playing for Scotland.

He was a consistent performer for Rangers and Scotland, appearing in 490 league matches and scoring 10 goals. Gray's international career was cut short due to World War II, but he still holds the record for the most appearances for Scotland.

Gray retired from playing in 1947 and went on to become a manager with Rangers. He led the club to two Scottish Premier League titles and also won the Scottish Cup twice. Gray passed away in January 2016 at the age of 96.

Lorenzo Amoruso began playing football at the age of six, joining his local club. In 1988, Amoruso made his senior debut for Bari. In 1989, Amoruso moved to Juventus, where he spent the majority of his playing career.

Amoruso won the Serie A title with Juventus in 2001, as well as the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana with the club. In 2006, Amoruso moved to AC Milan, where he played until his retirement in 2013.

Willie Henderson was born on 24 January 1944 in Baillieston, Scotland. He started his career at Rangers in 1960 and played for the club until 1972. Henderson then moved to Durban United in South Africa in 1972 and played for them until 1974.

Henderson then returned to Scotland and played for Sheffield Wednesday from 1974 until his retirement in 1984. 

Henderson was a prolific goalscorer during his career and is regarded as one of the greatest wingers in Scottish football history. He retired from playing football in 1984 but continued to work as a football coach until he retired in 2000.

Neil McCann is a former Scottish footballer who played as a left winger. McCann started his career with Dundee, where he made 79 appearances over three seasons.

He then signed for Scottish Premier League side Dundee United, where he spent six seasons. McCann then signed for English side West Ham United, where he spent two seasons before retiring in 2006.

Jerry Dawson was a goalkeeper who played for clubs in Scotland and England. Dawson started his career with Gairdoch Juveniles before moving to Falkirk. He made his professional debut in 1938 and spent the remainder of his playing career with the Falkirk club.

Dawson won several caps for Scotland and represented his country at the World Cup in 1954. He retired from professional football in 1962 but continued to play for local clubs. Dawson died in 1977 aged 67. He was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 1984.

Dawson is remembered for his saves during the 1954 World Cup. Dawson is considered one of the greatest goalkeepers of his era.

Alan Morton was born on 24 April 1893 in Glasgow, Scotland. Alan Morton was born in Glasgow in 1913 and was a player for Queen's Park from 1913-1920. He made his international debut for Scotland in 1919 and went on to play 31 times for the national side. 

Morton enjoyed a successful career with Rangers, playing 382 games for the club over a seven-year period.

He was part of the Scottish League XI that competed in the 1920-21 season and won the league title. Morton retired from playing in 1931 and went on to manage Queen's Park between 1933-1935.

Alex MacDonald is a Scottish footballer who played as a midfielder for several teams in his career. MacDonald started his career at junior club, Luncarty, before joining Glasgow United.

He had a successful spell at United, winning the Scottish Cup in 1967 and achieving promotion to the English league in 1969. MacDonald left United in 1971 to join Aberdeen. He spent four seasons with the Dons, winning the Scottish Cup in 1974.

MacDonald then joined Rangers, where he spent the remainder of his career. He won the Scottish League Cup in 1980 and the Scottish Cup in 1981. MacDonald retired from playing in 1984, but continued to work as a coach. He later served as manager of Partick Thistle.

Willie Johnston is a Scottish footballer who spent his entire career with Rangers. Johnston made his Rangers debut in 1964 and went on to play 211 games for the club.

Johnston was a regular for Rangers in the early part of his career, but his appearances became more sporadic in later years. Johnston played for Scotland at youth levels, but did not make his senior international debut until 1982.

Johnston retired from football in 1992 and later worked as a coach at Rangers. Johnston was inducted into the Rangers Hall of Fame in 2009. 

Johnston is the father of current Rangers player Lee Johnston. Johnston was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2016 and died in March 2017.

Colin Stein was born on May 10th, 1947 in Linlithgow, Scotland. He started his career with Armadale Thistle, playing for them between 1965 and 1969. Stein then played for Hibernian, Dundee United, and Celtic before retiring in 1983.

He was a part of the Scottish team that won the European Cup in 1986. Stein is currently the owner of a pub in Edinburgh. He has been married twice and has three children. Stein is a football coach and commentator. He is a member of the Scottish Football Hall of Fame.

He has written several books about his life in football. Colin Stein was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1965. He began his career as a player with Hibernian in 1965, before joining Rangers in 1968.

Willie Waddell was an outside right who played for Rangers over a period of more than 400 appearances. Willie Waddell was a Scottish professional football player who played as a winger for Rangers from 1939 to 1955.

Waddell was born in Strathclyde in 1939 and started his career with Rangers in 1939. He won six Scottish League XI caps and scored one goal during his time with the team.

Bobby Shearer was born on December 29, 1931 in Hamilton, Scotland. He began his career playing for Burnbank Athletic in the Scottish lower leagues. He made his professional debut with Clyde in the Scottish First Division in 1952.

He remained with Clyde for six seasons before moving to Rotherham United in 1958. He remained with Rotherham for eight seasons before retiring in 1966. He subsequently worked as a football coach with various clubs in the United Kingdom.

He died on November 5, 2006 at the age of 74. Bobby Shearer was a right-back who played in the Scottish First Division and the English Football League. He was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 2003. Bobby Shearer was born in 1951 in Hamilton, Scotland.

He began his career with Hamilton Academical in 1951 and went on to play for Rangers in 1967 and Queen of the South in 1965. He also had a short stint as manager of Third Lanark in 1970. He retired from playing in 1971 and subsequently became a manager. 

He led Hamilton Academical to the Scottish League Cup in 1979 and then to the Scottish Premier Division in 1982.

He then led Aberdeen to the Scottish Premier Division in 1984 and 1986. He retired from managerial duties in 1988. He has since worked as a television pundit. He was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
