The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a premier Twenty20 cricket event that brings together the best of Pakistan’s cricketing talent in a thrilling tournament every year.

Established in 2015, the PSL is organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board and features six teams from six cities across the country. Each team represents its respective city in the competition, with the tournament taking place over a month in February and March each year.

With some of the world’s most renowned cricketers taking part, the PSL showcases the best of Pakistan’s cricketing talent in a thrilling and exciting tournament.

Babar Azam is a top-order batter in the Pakistani cricket team. He was born on October 15, 1994, and is from Lahore, Punjab. Babar Azam has played for Pakistan at the Under-19 level and made his international debut in 2016 against Sri Lanka.

In June 2018 he scored a maiden century in an ODI series against Zimbabwe which helped Pakistan win the series 2–1; it was also his country's first bilateral ODI victory over Zimbabwe since 2008. 

In January 2019, he was named as one of thirty players to be part of the ICC World Twenty20 squad that will compete in England later that year; he made his T20I debut during the tournament, playing against Ireland.

On July 11th, 2020 Babar Azam became only the fifth player to score 1 000 runs and take 10 wickets in ODIs when he achieved this feat with innings of 116 off just 97 balls v WI at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Mohammad Rizwan made his Test debut in 2016 against New Zealand. He has played ODIs and T20Is for Pakistan since 2015. Rizwan is a right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper, who can also bowl medium-pace deliveries from the right-arm side of the bat.

In February 2021, he was named to Pakistan's squad for their tour of England. Mohammad Rizwan is likely to be part of Pakistan’s 2022. 

World Cup squad, as he continues to build on a strong Test record with impressive performances in limited-overs cricket too Mohammad Rizwan is a left-handed batsman who has represented both Peshawar Panthers and Lahore Qalandars in domestic cricket.

He made his international debut for Pakistan against England in November 2022, scoring 27 runs from 21 balls. 

Mohammad Rizwan's successful career highlights include winning the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy as captain of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as being named in the squad for the 2019 World Cup. 

In September 2020, he was banned from all forms of international cricket after testing positive for a drug offense.

Since returning to competitive cricket later that year, Mohammad Rizwan has helped KPK win two more trophies – the Inter-State Twenty20 Tournament and the President's Gold Cup – before appearing in Sussex's T20 Blast side earlier this month (November 20th).

Imam-ul-Haq is a Pakistani batsman who has played for Pakistan since 2017. Imam-ul-Haq was born in Multan, Punjab, in 1995 and is the nephew of former Test captain Inzamam-ul-Haq.

Imam-ul Haq made his Test debut against Ireland on 11 May 2018 and scored 231 runs across three innings. 

Imam played his last Test match against New Zealand on 2 January 2023 and finished with 1,533 ODI runnings including 215 appearances for Pakistan from 18 October 2017 to 18 August 2022 Imam-ul-Haq made his T20I debut for Balochistan in 2019 against England.

The left-handed batsman has played 54 matches across all formats of the game and scored 1,417 runs with a batting average of 39.36. 

In addition to his prowess with the bat, Imam also bowls left-arm orthodox and took 0 wickets in 20 matches during his maiden season for Balochistan. 

He is currently contracted to play for Peshawar Zalmi until 2022, after which he will move on to Somerset in England's second-tier league system.

Kumar Sangakkara is one of the most successful batsmen in Test cricket and was a key player for Sri Lanka during their time as one of the world's leading teams.

He has also been very successful in One Day Internationals, making 105 appearances for his country. 

Sangakkara began his career with modest scores but gradually worked his way up to become one of the best wicket-keepers around, thanks to his strong batting skills.

He retired from international cricket after Sri Lanka lost to India in 2015, though he continues to play domestic cricket for the Sri Lankan side Galle Cricket Club. His brother Thisara is also a professional cricketer who plays first-class and List-A matches around the world.

Kumar Sangakkara married Priyanka Weerasinghe in 2010 and they have two children together – Arjun and Kalyani – both of whom are active participants in sport themselves.

Liam Livingstone is a right-handed allrounder who made his international debut for England in 2017. He has played 73 Tests and 178 ODIs for England, scoring 2,752 runs with nine centuries and taking 152 wickets.

In T20I cricket he has scored 305 runs with six half-centuries and taken five wickets. Liam Livingstone was born in Barrow-in-Furness but grew up in Lancashire before moving to Cumbria to play county cricket for Cumberland County Cricket Club.

Liam Livingstone is a cricketer who plays for Lancashire in the English County Championship. He made his first-class debut for Lancashire in 2015 and has since played 63 matches, scoring 67 runs with 15 50s and an average of 38.08, including 9 centuries and 224 career dismissals in all formats of the game.

Kieron Adrian Pollard was born on 12 May 1987 in Trinidad and Tobago. He grew up in a low-income neighborhood and often had to rely on his own resourcefulness and determination to succeed. 

Pollard is a Trinidadian cricketer who has captained the West Indies cricket team in limited overs cricket and Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL. He is an aggressive all-rounder, a medium-pace bowler, and a big-hitting batsman in the middle order.

Kieron Pollard is considered one of the most explosive all-rounders in T20 cricket. Here are some of his achievements:

In 2007, together with Trinidad and Tobago, he won the KFC Cup. In 2008, he earned the man of the match award.

In 2010, he was the highest-paid player in the IPL. Then he played for Mumbai Indians. In 2011, he won the Champions League Twenty20 with the Mumbai Indians.

Alex Hales is an opening batter for England and made his Test debut in 2015 against South Africa. He has also played ODIs for England, making his debut against India in 2014.

Alex Hales was born on 3 January 1989 in Hillingdon, London and attended the independent Westminster School before studying at Durham University where he played for the Durham MCCU side.

After graduating from Durham with a degree in sports science, Hales worked as a cricket coach before signing up with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club (NCC) in 2012 as their batting coach and mentor to young players.

In February 2016 it was announced that Alex had signed a two-year contract extension with Nottinghamshire until the end of 2020 which would see him continue working alongside new head coach Matt Prior at Trent Bridge. 

A right-handed batsman and bowler, Alex has scored over 10,000 first class runs including five centuries while taking more than 1,700 wickets – both figures being club records when he joined Nottinghamshire in 2012.

Vince is a right-handed batsman and bowler who has played for England since 2015. Vince made his Test debut in 2016 against Sri Lanka, scoring a century on his way to becoming England's leading run scorer in Tests during the 2017 season.

In December 2018, he was named as one of the thirteen players who will represent England at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. 

Vince also represented Sussex County Cricket Club (ECCC) from 2009 until 2013 before signing for Sydney Sixers ahead of the 2014–15 seasons.

He finished 3rd highest run scorer with 863 runs scored in first class cricket matches during that time behind only David Warner and Steve Smith respectively. James Vince is a left-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who has played for Hampshire since 2009. 

In 2016, Vince made his international debut for England against Pakistan and he has been a regular in the side ever since.

He was part of the Sydney Thunder squad that won the Big Bash League title in 2018/19. Vince also represented England at T20Is, including their victory over West Indies in January 2022.

 Signed to play with Karachi Kings in Pakistan's Premier League from 2019/20 season onwards, James will hope to continue his good form on home soil there as well as cement his place within English cricketing folklore.

Tim David is a middle-order batsman who made his T20I debut for Singapore against Qatar in July 2019. He has since played four more T20Is for the Lions, including three of their last four fixtures.

David was born and raised in Singapore but represents Australia at international level. A right-handed batsman and bowler, he has been compared to Brendon McCullum due to his allround ability on the field Tim David is a batsman who plays for the Saint Lucia Kings in the T20I format.

Colin Munro is a left-handed batsman who has represented New Zealand in international cricket. He made his ODI debut against South Africa in 2013 and has since played 34 matches, scoring 904 runs at an average of 38.16 with two centuries and one fifty-plus score.

His final match for the Kiwis was against Pakistan in 2019, where he scored 58 not out off just 49 deliveries to help his side win by six wickets. 

Munro is known as a reliable batsman who can put on big scores when needed, which is evident from his nine century stands throughout his career so far.

Outside of playing cricket, Colin Munro works as a civil servant for the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment Colin Munro is a New Zealand cricketer who made his T20I debut against South Africa in 2012. 

He has represented Auckland in the domestic T20 tournament since 2006 and has also played for Worcestershire (2014-2015) and Kolkata Knight Riders (2016-present).

In international cricket, Munro has played for Australia A twice - in 2013 and 2016 - as well as appearing for New Zealand's ODI side on multiple occasions.

Shadab Khan made his Test debut in April 2017 against the West Indies and has since played 21 Tests. He was also part of Pakistan's World Cup squad, but did not feature in any matches.

Shadab is a right-handed batsman and bowls Right-arm leg break. In December 2018, he was named in the squad for Pakistan's tour of England later that year. Shadab Khan made his Test debut for Pakistan against the West Indies in March 2017.

He has since played 53 matches, including 22 T20Is, and is currently playing for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). 

Shadab was born in Rawalpindi, Punjab on 26 March 1995. He started playing cricket at a young age and represented various schools teams before making his first-class debut for Rawalpindi Rams in 2015.

He was named as captain of K-Electric ahead of the 2018 PSL season and led them to victory in the tournament final that year. 

In January 2019, he signed with Guyana Amazon Warriors becoming their fifth overseas player following Quinton de Kock, Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum and Dinesh Chandimal.

Shadab has also appeared for Yorkshire County Cricket Club during their inaugural campaign in Division Two of the English domestic league system but left midway through the season after sustaining an injury.

Although not originally from Karachi or Sindh province like many other Pakistani cricketers, Shadab considers himself a Punjabiistani because his family comes from Lahore.

Rossouw made her international debut for South Africa in August 2014 and has since played in over 50 ODIs and 25 T20Is. She is a left-handed batter and bowls right-arm off break.

Rossouw has been one of the most consistent performers for South Africa, scoring runs at an impressive rate both domestically and internationally. In March 2017, she was named as captain of the Southern Stars team for the Women's World Twenty20 tournament in England later that year.

Rilee Rossouw is a South African cricketer who has played for the Multan Sultans in domestic cricket and for the Free State Tuskers in international matches. 

He made his debut for South Africa in November 2015, playing against Zimbabwe. Rossouw was born on 24 October 1991 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

In February 2018, he was named the captain of Tshwane Spartans ahead of the 2018/19 season after previous captain Andile Phehlukwayo departed to play county cricket in England. 

Rossouw has also represented Hampshire in English County Cricket League (ECCL) fixtures over two seasons from 2017 to 2019, making 27 appearances and scoring 945 runs at an average of 36.16 with two centuries and three fifties during that time span.

He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for South Africa against Netherlands on 6 November 2022 at Kingsmead Stadium. In this match, he scored 23 not out off just 14 deliveries while taking 2 wickets with figures of 3/25 – both career bests – as South Africa won by nine runs.

Shahid Afridi is an all-rounder who played for both cricket and football. He was born in 1977 in Khyber Agency, Pakistan, to a cricketing family. Shahid Afridi has represented several teams over the years, most notably Pakistan and England.

He is known for his powerful batting and bowling abilities, which have helped him score many crucial runs or bowl decisive balls during matches. 

In 2017 he retired from international cricket after playing 115 Tests and 248 ODIs for his country (an overall record of 523 runs scored with 29 centuries).

Shahid Afridi is married with two children; son Aamer Hasan Khan and daughter Iman Ali Khan.[8] He currently coaches Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistani Premier League Shahid Afridi is a Pakistani cricketer who has played for both the national and international sides. 

He made his Test debut in 1998 against Australia, and went on to play 150 matches for Pakistan before retiring in 2016.

Afridi was also part of the team that won the World T20 tournament in 2007, and he enjoyed great success with Peshawar Zalmi in T20 cricket too, winning two trophies during his time there. 

In 2009, he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket after suffering a knee injury which ruled him out of contention for the 2010 World Cup. 

However, he returned to playing county cricket in England later that year where he continued to be highly successful until announcing yet another retirement at the end of 2018 aged 42 years old.

Jason Roy is a right-handed batsman who has represented England since 2014. He made his Test debut against Ireland in 2019 and scored a century on 4 September 2019, becoming the first Englishman to score a hundred against an Irish side.

In ODI’s, Roy notched up his first cap against Ireland in May 2015 and has gone on to play 14 ODIs for England scoring 825 runs at an average of 36.78 with three half centuries and one century Jason Roy is an Australian cricketer who has played for Surrey since 2008.

He made his first-class debut in 2006 and went on to play 49 matches for New South Wales before signing with Surrey. After making his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut in 2014, he became a regular player for Australia and scored the winning run against India in the 2019 T20 World Cup final.

At international level, Roy has been part of Australia’s squads for every edition of the ICC World Cricket League (WCL) since its inception in 2014 as well as all three editions of their biennial global tournament

Mohammad Hafeez is a Pakistani all-rounder who has played for Pakistan since 2003. He has made 173 Test appearances and last played in the final Test of 2018 against New Zealand.

In ODIs, Hafeez has scored 144 runs at an average of 33.50 with a highest score of 67 not out and taken 20 wickets at an average of 34.33 with a best performance of 3/51 against Zimbabwe in 2007 ODI series.

Mohammad Hafeez was born on October 17th 1980 in Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan to parents Javed Khan and Shabana Pervaiz Siddiqui who were engineers by profession.

He began his cricketing career playing for local team Sharjah Cricket Club before being signed up by Islamabad United where he spent six years from 2000–2004 as part of their youth academy, making his first-class debut aged just 16.

Misbah-ul-Haq is a Pakistani batsman and former captain of the Pakistan national cricket team. He is widely regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world, and was instrumental in Pakistan's Test successes in the early 21st century.

He retired from international cricket after the 2017 World Cup, but continues to play for Pakistan in domestic cricket. Misbah-ul-Haq was born in Mianwali, Punjab, on 28 May 1974. He began his cricketing career at the age of 14, playing for his village team.

Misbah-ul-Haq made his Test debut in March 2001 against New Zealand, and went on to play 166 Tests, scoring over 10,000 runs and taking over 2,000 wickets. 

He was captain of Pakistan from August 2010 to December 2017. He has been named the Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2009, 2012 and 2017, and was also the recipient of the ODI Player of the Year award in 2009 and the ICC Test Player of the Year award in 2012.

Luke Ronchi is a New Zealand international wicketkeeper and batsman. He made his Test debut for New Zealand in 2015 against England, and has since played eight further Tests and 36 ODIs.

He has also represented Australia on a limited basis, making his Test debut in 2008. He has a highest score of 61 not out in the third Test against India in 2016. He is the son of former New Zealand cricket captain Ian Ronchi.
