Chris Waddle was a highly productive winger and attacking midfielder during his career. He started his career at Tow Law Town before moving to Newcastle United in 1980.

Waddle spent six seasons with Tottenham Hotspur, helping the club win three Premier League titles and two FA Cups between 1985 and 1989. 

After leaving Spurs, he joined Marseille in 1992 where he won the French Cup that year as well as another league title in 1995.

He then moved to Sheffield Wednesday where he stayed for four years before retiring in 1996 at the age of 34 due to injury problems sustained while playing for England at Euro 96 that year.

Chris Waddle is a former English football player who played as a midfielder. Chris Waddle made his professional debut with Norwich City in 1984 and went on to play for several other clubs, including Bradford City, Sunderland, Burnley, Torquay United and Glapwell. 

He retired from playing after the 2002 season and later managed Hallam between 2013-2014 before being sacked in February of that year.

In 2006 he was diagnosed with leukaemia but has since recovered fully and continues to work as a football pundit for various networks around the world.

Jordan Ayew is a French forward who currently plays for Crystal Palace. Jordan started his career at Lyon Duchère before moving to Marseille in 2009. 

He made his senior debut for Marseille in 2009 and has since played over 100 games for the club, scoring 14 goals.

In 2014, he signed for Crystal Palace and has since been a regular starter for the team, helping them reach the Premier League last season. 

Jordan is known as an attacking midfielder who can score goals from distance or set up teammates with strong passing ability.

Didier Drogba is a retired Ivorian footballer who played as a striker for several clubs in France and England. He began his career with French club Dunkirk, before moving to Ligue 1 side Guingamp in 2002.

After helping Guingamp reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup, he joined Chelsea where he won three Premier League titles, two FA Cups and one Champions League trophy during six seasons at Stamford Bridge from 2003 to 2010.

In January 2011, Drogba signed for Shanghai Shenhua after leaving Chelsea following their relegation from the Premier League; however, he only made five appearances for the Chinese Super League side before retiring later that year due to injury.

Drogba rejoined Marseille on a short-term contract in December 2013 but left again shortly afterward without making an appearance for them either 6 or 7 months later 8 when his contract expired. 

Since then 10, he has been playing 11 professional football 12 intermittently 13 across Europe 14.

Didier Yves Drogba was born on March 11th 1978 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.[1] He started out playing football with local sides Dunkirk[2] and Tourcoing,[3] both in France's top division Ligue.

After impressing at the youth level with Le Mans, Ivorian powerhouse Olympique de la Gamba drafted him into their squad ahead of the 1988–89 season.

However, after featuring just twice – both coming off the bench – " Dido" opted instead to join fellow second-division outfit Abbeville midway through 1989 campaign.

It wasn’t until 1991 that “The Beast” would make his debut for Vannes appearing 22 times over two seasons prior to joining ambitious third-tier Levallois Athletic alongside compatriot Nicolas Anelka on July 24th, 1993. 

Chelsea paid £16 million (then €21m/£15m) plus add-ons which took their tally up to 23million euros (£18m/$26m).

André Ayew is a talented French-born Ghanaian footballer who has played for several top European clubs. He started his career at 1860 Munich and then moved to Nania before joining Marseille in 2007.

Ayew helped Marseille win the Ligue 1 title in 2009, as well as the Coupe de France that season. In January 2015, he signed for Al Sadd in Qatar after helping Ghana reach the World Cup finals earlier that year.

Abedi Ayew Pele is one of the most decorated Ghanaian footballers with over 50 caps to his name. He started his career at Great Falcons and went on to play for some of Ghana's biggest clubs including Real Tamale United, Al Sadd, Zürich.

Florian Thauvin is a French professional footballer who currently plays for Mexican club Tigres UANL. Florian Thauvin began his career with amateur side Ingre before joining Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle in 2005.

He made his senior debut with Grenoble in 2011, and went on to make over 100 appearances for the club before joining Tigres in 2018.

Dimitri Payet is a French attacking midfielder who currently plays for Marseille. Dimitri Payet was born in 1987 in Saint-Pierre, Réunion and started playing football at the age of five.

Hatem Ben Arfa was born in 1987 and started playing football at the age of 6 for his local club ASV Châtenay-Malabry. He spent six seasons with Lyon, scoring 63 goals in total before moving to Marseille in 2011.

One of the most prolific strikers in Italian football history, Ravanelli enjoyed a successful career with Perugia, Avellino and Reggiana. He made his debut for Perugia in 1986 and went on to score 41 goals in 90 appearances for the club.

Didier Deschamps is a French football manager and former player. He played for Marseille, Juventus, and Bordeaux in the 1990s. He became France's national team manager in 2012.

At the 2018 FIFA World Cup, he led his country to their first ever victory in the competition. Didier Deschamps was born on October 15th, 1968 in Bayonne, France.

Mandanda is a goalkeeper who has played for Marseille, Rennes and Lorient. Mandanda made his debut for Le Havre in 2005 and went on to play for the club until 2008.

He then signed for Marseille where he spent six seasons before joining Rennes in 2016. Mandanda has been capped by France at international level several times, most notably during the 2010 World Cup qualifiers and the 2014 World Cup finals tournament itself.

Laurent Blanc was born on November 19th, 1965 in Alès, France. He started his career at Montpellier in 1981 and played there until 1991. After a brief spell with Napoli, he joined Saint-Étienne where he would remain for the next 18 years.

Laurent Blanc made a switch to Centre-back when he moved to Lyon in 1995 and has since been their head coach ever since (with one exception).

Fabien Barthez is a French international goalkeeper who played for Monaco and Manchester United. He was born in Lavelanet, France on June 28th, 1971. Barthez started his career with Stade Lavelanétien before moving to Toulouse in 1990.

In 1992 he joined Marseille where he remained until 2000 when he moved to Monaco; during this time, he helped the club win Ligue 1 five times and reach the UEFA Champions League final twice (1996–97 & 1999-00).

Fabien Barthez is one of the most successful goalkeepers in France football history. He played for Marseille, where he won two Ligue 1 titles and the French Cup before moving to Nantes in 2006.

Josip Skoblar is a former Croatian footballer who played for clubs in Yugoslavia and France. Skoblar made his professional debut in 1958 with Zadar and went on to play for OFK Belgrade, Hannover 96 and Marseille.

He was loaned to Marseille in 1966. Skoblar was a prolific forward and won the Bundesliga, French Ligue 1 and European Cup with Hannover 96.

Gallas is a French professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Serie A club Roma. He began his career at hometown club Asnières-sur-Seine before moving to Paris Saint-Germain in 1992.

Rafidine Abdullah is a 29-year-old midfielder who plays for Marseille and is of Algerian descent. Abdullah made his debut for Marseille in 2009 and has since been a consistent performer for the club, appearing in over 200 league games.
