The New York Jets are one of the most storied franchises in professional American football. Founded in 1960 as part of the AFL-NFL merger, they have been a member club of the AFC East since 1970 and currently play their home games at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. The team is led by head coach Adam Gase who has helped guide them to some impressive wins over recent years including an appearance in Super Bowl XLVIII against the Seattle Seahawks. Quinnen Williams was a highly-touted recruit coming out of high school and attended Alabama as a true freshman in 2016. He made an immediate impact on the Crimson Tide defense, starting all 13 games he played during his rookie campaign.

As a sophomore, Quinnen appeared in 10 starts and recorded 54 tackles (9 for loss), 2 sacks, and 1 interception before declaring for the NFL Draft. Williams' draft stock took off after dominating at the combine with measurements that were above average for defensive linemen (6' 3", 303 lbs).

The Jets drafted him in the first round with the third overall pick and he has started 12 games so far this season at nose tackle. Quinnen Williams is a dominant defensive lineman who has quickly become one of the best players in the NFL. 

Williams was an All-American and First-Team All-SEC selection this season, and he is likely to be drafted high in next year’s draft.

He has great size at 6'4" and 280 pounds, as well as incredible strength and athleticism. Williams will be a major force for whichever team drafts him, and he should make an immediate impact on that squad.

Joe Namath was one of the most famous and successful quarterbacks in NFL history. He led the Jets to three championship appearances, including an upset victory over the heavily favored Patriots in 1969.

Joe Namath's career was cut short by a knee injury in 1976, but he is still remembered as one of the greatest players in league history. Joe Namath is a Beaver Falls native who attended Beaver Falls High School before going on to play football at Alabama University.

After winning two Heisman Trophies while playing for the Crimson Tide, he was drafted by the Jets as the 12th overall pick in the 1965 NFL Draft. 

In his rookie season with New York, Joe led them to their first-ever playoff appearance and an eventual berth in Super Bowl III against Baltimore Colts - whom they defeated 34-7 thanks to his legendary "moon shot" touchdown pass late in the game (see video below).

Following his retirement from professional football following the 1976 season, Namath became a commentator for CBS Sports Network and ABC Sports until his death from cancer on July 17th, 2013 at age 79 years old Joe Namath was one of the most successful quarterbacks in professional football history. 

He is a three-time Super Bowl champion and MVP, as well as a two-time AFL Champion and Rookie of the Year.

Joe Namath started his career with the Jets before moving on to play for the New York Giants and finally the Alabama Crimson Tide, where he won an SEC Championship. 

After retiring from playing football, Joe Namath became an analyst for ESPN and has since lent his voice to various other ventures such as reality television shows.

3. Zach Wilson

Zach Wilson was a two-year starter at BYU and led the Cougars to an undefeated season in 2018. The 23-year-old quarterback is entering his first year with the New York Jets and is expected to compete for the starting job this offseason.

Sauce Gardner is a cornerback for the New York Jets. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, and attended high school at Martin Luther King Jr. Sauce played college football at Cincinnati where he had 41 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 10 passes defended in his final year as a Bearcat.

The Jets drafted him with the 4th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and he has since made an impact on their defense playing 62 games over 5 seasons averaging 14 tackles per season but putting up some eye-catching numbers such as 6 interceptions (tied for 3rd most) 23 pass breakups (5th most), and 1 forced fumble during that time period.

In 2019, Sauce won Super Bowl LIII MVP after leading the Jet's defensive unit to victory against the Patriots by registering 3 total sacks including one of Tom Brady which sealed their first-ever championship win.

Known for his dogged determination on defense and ability to make big plays when it matters most, Sauce is looking forward to continuing his success with the Jets into 2020.

Darrelle Revis is a cornerback who spent his entire career with the New York Jets. He was drafted 14th in 2007 and became one of the most dominant cornerbacks in the NFL.

In 2012, he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and had some great seasons there before signing with the Patriots in 2014. He joined the Jets again for two more years before retiring at the end of the 2016 season.

Darrelle Revis is a cornerback who has spent his entire 10-year career with the New England Patriots. He was drafted in 2009 and quickly became one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. 

In 2014, he helped lead the Patriots to their fifth Super Bowl victory, becoming just the second player ever (after Charles Woodson) to win multiple Super Bowls as a member of one team.

Revis has been named First Team All-Pro seven times and Second Team All-Pro twice. He also won two Pro Bowl MVP Awards (2013, 2015). 

After spending three seasons with the Jets, Revis signed with the Chiefs this offseason and is looking to help them make another run at an NFL Championship title.

6. Alijah Vera-Tucker

Alijah Vera-Tucker was born on June 17, 1999, in Oakland, California. He attended Bishop O'Dowd High School and played football for the school's varsity team as a linebacker before transitioning to guard during his senior year.

Vera-Tucker played college football at USC where he started all 13 of his games in two seasons with the Trojans. In May 2021, Vera-Tucker participated in the NFL Draft but was not selected until Round 1 (14th overall) by the New York Jets.

The 23-year old has since made an immediate impact for the Jets, starting all 16 games he's appeared in during his rookie season and impressing coaches with his athleticism and technique at both guard positions as well as the center should injury occur to incumbent starter Brandon Shell or Nick Mangold.

Alijah Vera-Tucker was one of the most highly touted recruits in Pac-12 history and a key part of the Cardinal’s offense as a true freshman. The 6'5", 285lber started all 23 games he played this past season, posting 85 tackles, 9 sacks, and 2 interceptions while also catching 15 passes for 157 yards and 1 touchdown.

Vera-Tucker is already being talked about as an early candidate for the NFL draft next year; with his combination of size, speed, power, and athleticism it will be hard for any team not to take him on if he decides to enter the draft.

7. Kevin Mawae

Mawae played for the Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, and Tennessee Titans during his career. Mawae was a key member of three teams that made it to the playoffs.

In 2009, Mawae joined the Indianapolis Colts as their tight ends coach. He is known for his expertise in coaching tight ends and has helped numerous players reach their potential both on and off the field.

Kevin Mawae was a standout offensive lineman for the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals during his 16-year NFL career. He played in seven Pro Bowls and was a two-time First-team All-Pro selection. 

After retiring from football, Kevin Mawae became an assistant coach with the Bears and Colts before joining the Jets as their tight ends coach in 2018.

Matt Snell was a running back for the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL. He played college football at Ohio State and was drafted by the Jets in 1964.

Snell enjoyed a lengthy career with both teams, retiring after 12 seasons in 1972. In his twelve NFL seasons, he scored 153 touchdowns and added 1,663 rushing yards on 511 attempts.

Matt also had 97 receptions for 1,314 yards during his career as a receiver out of the backfield. After retirement from professional football, Snell worked as an assistant coach at Ohio State University from 1978 to 1984 before leaving coaching to become a head coach. 

Garfield High School in Georgia from 1985 until 2001 when he retired again due to health concerns Matt Snell was one of the most versatile players in Jets history, playing running back, receiver, and defensive back.

He played his entire 10-year career with the team and was a member of their three AFL championships. He finished as New York's all-time leading rusher with 4,287 yards on 1,057 attempts and 24 rushing touchdowns over 86 games played. 

In 1968 he became the first player in NFL history to record 100 receptions in a season - an accomplishment that still stands today. He retired at the end of the 1969 season after helping lead the Jets to their third AFL title victory in four years.

9. Marcus Maye

Marcus Maye was a standout safety at Florida, and he was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2017. He has appeared in 36 games over three seasons with the Saints, recording 189 tackles and one interception.

In 2018, Marcus Maye won his first Super Bowl title with the Saints after they defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 41-33 in Super Bowl LIII. 

Outside of football, Marcus Maye is involved with several charitable organizations, most notably A21 which focuses on preventing gun violence through education and fundraising initiatives.

Marcus Maye is married to model Ashley Jacobs and they have two children together – a daughter born in December 2018 and a son born in February 2019 Marcus Maye is a talented cornerback who has quickly emerged as one of the top players at his position in the NFL. 

His combination of athleticism, coverage skills, and strong play against the run makes him an important part of any defense.

He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2017 and has played well for them ever since then, helping lead them to a berth in Super Bowl LIII this year. 

The Jets are looking to add Marcus Maye to their roster next season and believe he will be a valuable contributor on both sides of the ball.

10. Mekhi Becton

Mekhi Becton was one of the top offensive tackles in college football and is expected to be a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played for Louisville from 2017 to 2019, helping lead them to two bowl games during that time.

Becton is known for his athleticism and consistency as an offensive lineman, which could make him a long-term fixture on any team he joins in the NFL. Mekhi Becton was drafted by the New York Jets in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played college football at Virginia Tech, where he was a two-time first-team All-ACC selection.

In 2019, he won the Jacobs Blocking Award as the top blocker in the ACC. Mekhi is injured and on IR with the Jets but has the potential to be a very good player in the NFL.

Curtis Martin is a hall of who played for the New England Patriots, New York Jets, and Pittsburgh Steelers. He was known as one of the most dominant running backs in NFL history, amassing more than 12,000 yards from scrimmage during his career.

Martin also accumulated over 100 touchdowns on the ground, making him one of only six players to achieve that feat. 

After retiring from football in 2006, he began working as an analyst for ESPN's Sunday Night Football coverage and has since become a regular commentator on other sports programs across multiple networks.

In 2010, Martin received the prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year Award at Chicago's United Center in recognition of his impact on American football and humanitarian work throughout.

His life Curtis Martin was one of the most prolific running backs in NFL history, amassing 14,101 rushing yards and 90 touchdowns during his 18-year career.

He also became a valuable receiver out of the backfield, recording 484 receptions for 3,329 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns. Martin earned first-team All-Pro honors four times – including twice as a runner and once as a receiver – and was a member of five Pro Bowl teams. 

In 2006 he won the Bart Starr Award as the best player in the league who began his career after 1991 (the year that professional football went to an exclusively pro style).

Martin retired following the 2007 season with New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick stating: "Curtis has been one of my favorite players since I've been coaching.

12. Wayne Chrebet

Wayne Chrebet was born on August 14, 1973, in Garfield, New Jersey. He attended high school at Garfield and played football there before attending Hofstra.

Chrebet started his professional career with the National Football League's San Diego Chargers in 1995 but only appeared in two games that season due to injury.

In 1996 he signed with the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles but again failed to make an impact and was released after one year without playing a single game for either team.

After spending 1997 out of football, Chrebet joined the Arena Football League (AFL) where he had a successful stint as both player and coach for the now-defunct. Arizona Rattlers franchise from 1998 until 2001. 

Before retiring from professional football altogether following the 2002 AFL season finale with another championship win under his belt as head coach of the Rattlers squad having led them to back-to-back championships during that time frame too.

Following his retirement from playing professionally Wayne has enjoyed some well-deserved time off including working as a college basketball analyst for ESPNU covering top NCAA programs such as Duke, Kentucky, and Kansas Jayhawks amongst others alongside former NBA players Jalen Rose and Juwan Howard. 

Currently, Wayne is still involved in sports broadcasting through hosting shows like "Wayne & Wilt: The Morning Show" which airs weekday mornings on SiriusXM Satellite Radio channel 92 Hits From The Hardwood alongside rapper Wale who also happens to be one of Wayne's longtime friends.

Don Maynard was a talented and prolific receiver in the NFL. He began his career with the New York Giants, before joining the Hamilton Tiger-Cats midway through the 1958 season.

Following two seasons in Canada, Maynard joined the New York Jets in 1963 where he enjoyed success as one of quarterback Joe Namath's favorite targets. In 1968, he signed with San Diego Chargers but only played three games due to injury before retiring at age 36 after 12 years in pro football.

In 2002, Don Maynard was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and retired from broadcasting following that year's Super Bowl XLII victory by his former team, the New York Giants Don Maynard was an all-around receiver in the AFL and NFL. 

He played for the Jets, Cardinals, Rams, and Texans from 1960 to 1972. He was a two-time First Team All-AFL player (1968 and 1969) as well as a Second Team All-AFL player in 1965 and 1967. 

In 1968 he led the league with 47 receptions for 727 yards in 12 games played during the regular season before helping lead his team to victory in Super Bowl III against the Pittsburgh Steelers. 

After retiring from football he became involved with real estate investing before passing away at age 62 due to complications from diabetes on December 4th, 2002.

17. Denzel Mims

Denzel Mims was born on October 10, 1997 in Daingerfield, Texas. He attended Baylor for four years and played there as a wide receiver from 2016 to 2019.

Denzel entered the 2020 NFL Draft and was selected by the New York Jets in the second round with the 59th overall pick. In his rookie season, he appeared in all 16 games and caught seven passes for 78 yards and one touchdown while also rushing three times for 21 yards.

In 2021, Denzel had an even better performance with 55 receptions for 825 yards (an average of 17 catches per game) along with nine touchdowns - both career highs. As of early May 2022, Denkel has already amassed 97 receptions for 1,435 yards (an amazing 23 catch-per-game average.) with 12 touchdowns - making him one of the most lethal receivers in the league at this point.

Denzel Mims is a 2020 NFL draft prospect from Oklahoma who caught 34 passes for 570 yards and five touchdowns in his first season with the New York Jets. Denzel Mims was a standout player for the Sooners, catching 144 passes for 2,541 yards and 19 touchdowns over three seasons. 

The 6’0″ receiver has good speed and athleticism, which make him dangerous downfield. Denzel Mims could be a valuable addition to the Jet's offense next season; he will need to work on his route running but has all the tools to be successful in the NFL.

Look for Denzel Mims to develop into one of the top receivers in the league over time; he has everything it takes to become an elite player at this level.

Brandin Echols was born on October 16, 1997, in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended Southaven High School and played football for the school's Tigers team. In 2017, he completed his undergraduate degree at Northwest Mississippi CC where he starred as a cornerback and punt returner.

Brandin was drafted by the New York Jets in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft after playing college football for Kentucky Wildcats in the 2019-2020 season. 

Brandin Echols is a 20-year-old linebacker for the New York Jets. Brandin Echols attended Southern Arkansas University and was a standout player for the team, playing in all 43 games he appeared in his college career.

He was drafted by the Jets in the 6th round of the 2021 NFL draft and has since made an impact on their defense as a rookie starter. His 63 tackles are second on the Jets behind only Demario Davis, while his 9 pass deflections put him third on their team list overall. 

Echols also ranks first among rookies with two interceptions – one of which he returned 73 yards for a touchdown against Buffalo Bills back in Week 3 of the season (the longest return by any Jet rookie this year).

Gastineau was a dominant defensive end in the NFL for over a decade. He played for the New York Jets and BC Lions, amassing 121 sacks and five Pro Bowl appearances along the way.

Gastineau is best known for his play against Lawrence Taylor, who he famously held without any success in 1986. That year, Gastineau also won Defensive Player of the Year honors after recording 11 sacks and 92 tackles (second most on the team).

After hanging up his cleats at age 36 in 1988, Gastineau moved into coaching where he has worked with various levels of youth football teams ever since. Gastineau was an All-Pro cornerback during the early 1980s. He helped lead the New York Jets to consecutive Super Bowl appearances in 1984 and 1985.

Gastineau is a member of the NFL's Hall of Fame, and he also holds franchise records for sacks and interceptions in a career.

Gerry Philbin was a defensive end who played in the NFL for over 20 years. He started his career with the New York Jets and went on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Stars, and Miami Dolphins.

Gerry Philbin is best known for his time with the Jets where he won two Super Bowls (1968 and 1969). After retirement from football, Gerry served as assistant head coach of the Miami Dolphins from 1985 to 1988 before retiring again.

Gerry Philbin played football at the collegiate level for Miami (FL). He was drafted by the New York Jets in the fourth round of the 1968 NFL Draft and would play 123 games with them over a 10-year career. He was awarded two AFL All-Star selections, as well as First Team All-AFL, honors during his time in that league.

His most productive season came in 1969 when he recorded 18 interceptions and led the league with 7 fumble recoveries. After retiring from playing professional football, Gerry Philbin became an assistant coach with both. 

Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins before joining Rex Ryan's staff on January 20th, 2017 as linebackers coach/defensive coordinator of The New York Jets organization.

Emerson Boozer was a running back for the Jets from 1966-1975. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1966 but only played one season with them before joining the New York Jets.

Boozer is best known for his time with the Jets, where he helped lead them to two Super Bowl appearances (1973 and 1974). After finishing his career with the Jets, Boozer went on to play for several other teams before retiring in 1982.

Emerson Boozer passed away at age 79 in 2016 after a long illness.. Emerson was a two-time All-American and a Super Bowl champion with the New York Jets. Boozer is one of just nine players in history to rush for over 10,000 yards and catch 1,000 passes.

He ranks fifth all-time in receptions behind Jerry Rice, Cris Carter, Marvin Harrison, and Antonio Brown. Emerson has been inducted into both the College Football Hall of Fame (2004) and the Pro Football Hall of Fame (2013).

Jones is most well known for his time playing for the Bears, where he became one of only four players to rush for over 1,000 yards and catch 100 passes in a single season twice (2006–2007). Thomas Jones was a big running back for the New York Jets from 2007-2009.

In 2008, he was elected to his first Pro Bowl and finished the year with 1,598 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. After playing for the Chiefs in 2010-2011, Thomas retired at the age of 30 due to injuries sustained during his NFL career.

Ken O'Brien was an NFL starting quarterback for the Jets and Packers over a ten-year career. He is best known for leading the Jets to victory in Super Bowl III, which remains their only championship.

He also led the Packers to an NFC Championship game in 1992 but lost to the Redskins. After leaving football, he started his own business empire and served as president of Fox Sports Networks from 2003 until his retirement in 2014.

In 2016, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and has since been working as a commentator for professional sports events on FS1 TV channel Ken O'Brien played quarterback at the University of California, Davis from 1977-1979.

He was drafted in the third round by the San Francisco 49ers in 1980 and spent three seasons with them before being traded to the Cleveland Browns. In 1984, he led the NFL in passer rating and completed 66% of his passes that year. 

O'Brien also won a Pro Bowl and an MVP award during his career as a player; he retired after winning another Super Bowl with Pittsburgh in 1991.

After retirement, Ken became coach of UC Davis where he stayed for six seasons before being fired due to poor team performance in 1997 (his final season). Since then, Ken has worked as a football analyst for ESPN and NBC Sports. He is married with two children and currently resides near Boston.

28. Pat Leahy

Pat Leahy is a 71-year-old kicker who played for the Cardinals and Jets. He was undrafted in 1973 but had a successful career with the two teams. Pat earned three Super Bowl rings with the Jets, including their victory over the San Francisco 49ers in February 1984.

Leahy has been an ambassador for several charities throughout his career, most notably St. Jude Children's Research Hospital where he has raised more than $1 million dollars through his "Kicking For Kids" campaign. 

In 2009, he was awarded the prestigious Pro Football Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award.

In 2011, Leahy retired from professional football after 19 seasons and 438 games played to pursue other interests such as golfing and fishing. Leahy was a three-time All-American and first-team pro in the NFL. 

Leahy was inducted into both the College and Professional Football Halls of Fame, making him one of only two players to be honored with both honors (the other being Jim Brown).

He is also one of just four players to have his number retired by more than one team, joining Jerry Rice, Brett Favre, and Dan Marino. 

Leahy started at right guard for the New England Patriots during their undefeated season in 1971 which led directly to them winning Super Bowl V against the Dallas Cowboys.

29. Michael Carter II

Michael Carter II was a highly-touted cornerback prospect out of Douglasville, Georgia. He played at Duke for two seasons before being drafted by the Jets in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Carter has made an immediate impact with New York and is considered one of their best cornerbacks. He has started all nine games he's appeared in this season and recorded 38 tackles, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), and four pass breakups.

Michael Carter II was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. MCII is a strong and physical running back that can do it all on offense. He has great speed, agility, and elusiveness for a player his size and age. 

MCII will need to work on his pass-blocking skills if he wants to make an impact as a full-time starter in the NFL, but he should be able to carve out a role with the Jets this season.

Al Toon was a three-time Pro Bowler and one of the greatest receivers in NFL history. He helped lead the Jets to two AFC championships and an NFL championship in 1988. 

Al is best remembered for his spectacular catches in key moments, such as the game-winning touchdown against Buffalo on Thanksgiving Day 1986 or his dramatic grab that clinched New York's victory over Miami in Super Bowl III.

After retiring from football, Al became a broadcaster with ESPN and NBC, most notably calling games during Patriots games throughout the early 2000s before transitioning into studio work for Fox Sports 1 (FS1). 

Al is now considered one of sports broadcasting's iconic voices, still frequently appearing on national broadcasts including Monday Night Football and College GameDay.

After retiring from football, Wesley Walker has since worked as a television analyst and motivational speaker. Wesley Walker is one of the most decorated players in NFL history. He has been named First-team All-Pro three times and was also a Pro Bowler twice.

Wesley Walker had an incredibly productive career with the New York Jets, amassing over 8,306 receiving yards and 71 touchdowns in his time there.

Winston Hill passed away in 2016 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 74. Winston Hill was a defensive back and kick returner who played 16 seasons in the NFL. 

He is most famous for his time with the New York Jets, where he won three Super Bowls (III, IV, VI) and was named to four All-Pro teams.

Winston Hill also had a notable career as a punt returner; in 1972 he returned two punts for touchdowns in one game against Miami. After retiring from football, Winston Hill became an assistant coach with the Giants before becoming head coach of the Tampa Bay Bandits of the USFL. 

In 1985 he took over as head coach of Division II West Georgia State University and led them to their first NCAA Division I playoff appearance in program history.

Winston Hill died on August 29th, 2016 at age 80 after a long struggle with cancer.

33. Garrett Wilson

Freeman McNeill finished his career with over 2,500 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns on 579 carries. After retiring from football, Freeman McNeil went into coaching where he currently works as an assistant coach at UCLA.

38. Randy Rasmussen

Rasmussen was a versatile guard who played for the Jets from 1967-1981. He started off his career as a backup but eventually became one of the team's leaders and best players.

Rasmussen was known for being an excellent pass blocker, as well as being able to run block effectively when needed. After playing 11 seasons with the Jets, he retired in 1981 after appearing in 141 games and starting 136 of them.

Rasmussen is currently a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and has been named to several All-Decade Teams throughout his career After a successful college career at the University of Southern California, Rasmussen was drafted in 1968 by the Minnesota Vikings.

Playing for both the Vikings and New Orleans Saints over his 13-year NFL career, he won two Super Bowls (III) as well as an AFL championship with the Oakland Raiders. 

A fumbling specialist who also excelled on defense and special teams, Rasmussen ranks ninth all-time in NFL history with nine fumble recoveries - one more than Hall of Famer Merlin Olsen - and scored one touchdown on that ability.

He is also credited with intercepting 18 passes during his playing days. After retiring from football in 1978, Rasmussen went into broadcasting where he worked for several networks before joining ESPN's Sunday Night Football team in 1992 as a color commentator. 

He remained there until 2000 when he retired from full-time TV work to devote himself fully to golfing and fishing.

Harper was drafted by the Flyers with their first-round pick, eighth overall, in the 1973 NHL Entry Draft. After playing four seasons with Philadelphia, he was traded to Hartford in 1978 where he spent seven seasons before being traded to Colorado at the trade deadline of 1987.

In his twelve years with these three teams, Harper totaled 516 points (227 goals and 313 assists) in 752 games played. His career high point total was 397 which he achieved during the 1982–83 season while playing for Denver. 

On July 11th, 1990 Bruce retired as an active player after 14 seasons and 602 regular season games played in The NHL Bruce Harper was a versatile running back and kick returner for the New York Jets from 1977 to 1984.

Bruce Harper scored 14 touchdowns during his career, including five in 1983. In 1984, he helped lead the Jets to their first-ever playoff appearance. 

After retiring as a player, Bruce Harper served as an assistant coach with the Cleveland Browns from 2002 to 2006 before joining the Washington Redskins as their Special Teams Coordinator in 2007. 

He has also held positions with the Arizona Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tennessee Titans over his long coaching career.

He was drafted by the Texans in 2013 and played with them until 2018. After leaving Houston, Griffin signed with the Jets as a free agent in 2019. 

In his first season with New York, he caught 43 passes for 612 yards and three touchdowns. The Bears acquired him ahead of the 2020 season, and he's started every game since then.

Wesco had an impressive college career, having caught 238 passes for 3,288 yards and 25 touchdowns in three seasons with the Mountaineers. Wesco entered the 2019 NFL Draft as a fourth-round pick by the Chicago Bears.

Wesco was a highly touted recruit out of high school and entered the NFL as one of the most hyped prospects in recent memory. Wesco showed flashes of brilliance during his rookie season but struggled to live up to lofty expectations.

He bounced back in 2019 with a strong second year, earning First-team All-Big 12 honors along the way. 

Wesco is an explosive receiver who can make plays downfield both on short and long passes. His ability to create mismatches will be key for the Jets moving forward.

There are questions about Wesco's durability heading into his third season, but he has shown enough promise that he should still be considered a top prospect at this point in his career.

Sauer is best known for his record-breaking touchdown catch against the Colts in 1969 that helped lead New York to their first-ever championship season. He also won two Super Bowls with the Jets as well as three MVP Awards during his time with the team - all legendary achievements for any receiver.

Sauer passed away from heart failure at 69 years old in 2013 after spending many years battling Alzheimer's disease. George Sauer Jr. was a three-time all-star in the AFL and four-time all-star in the NFL. 

He played for the New York Stars (1974) and is best known for his performance as a wide receiver with the San Francisco 49ers during their Super Bowl championship season of 1981.

George retired from playing football after the 1989 season but continued to work as an athletic trainer with several teams until he retired in 2002. 

He is married and has two children; one of whom also became an athlete, playing basketball at Brown University before transferring to Georgetown University where she later earned her law degree.

50. Jarrad Davis

Jarrad Davis is 6'1" tall and weighs 242 pounds, which makes him an extremely physical linebacker who can run quickly and cover lots of ground. Jarrad Davis has had success playing in both 3-4 defenses as well as 4-3 defenses, so his versatility will be valuable on whichever team drafts him next.

Jarrad Davis is considered a smart player with good instincts, which should enable him to make plays even when disrupted by blockers or opponents around him. Despite being only 28 years old, it's likely that Jarrad Davis will have many more seasons of play left in him at the highest level of football.

In his rookie season, Davis led all linebackers in tackles (144) and ranked second on the team in sacks (two). The 23-year-old linebacker also played an instrumental role in helping the Giant's defense reach its third consecutive playoff appearance after finishing 11th overall in 2020.

Final Words

The New York Jets are one of the most storied franchises in professional American football and have had some of the best players to ever play the sport.

Some of their greatest players include Joe Namath, Mark Sanchez, and Darrelle Revis. These three men are all household names and have each been a major part of several championship teams for the Jets.

They will be long remembered as some of the best quarterbacks, defenders, and receivers in team history.
