George Best was born on 22 May 1946 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He started his career at Cregagh Boys Club before moving to Manchester United in 1961.

Mark Hughes is a Welsh-born former professional footballer who played as a striker and midfielder. He began his career with Manchester United, where he won the Premier League title in 1986.

He then moved to Barcelona, where he won two La Liga titles and the Copa del Rey in 1988. He returned to England with Stoke City in 2015, helping them win promotion to the Premier League that season.

In October 2017, Hughes was appointed manager of Bradford City after they were relegated from English football's top tier for the first time in their history. As manager of Bradford City, Hughes has led them back into Championship play during 2018–19.

Mark Hughes received an OBE for services to football at Buckingham Palace on 17 May 2019[1] Hughes is a Welsh football manager who has had a long and successful managerial career.

Hughes began his coaching career at the age of 23, taking over as manager of Wales in 1999. He led Wales to Euro 2004, where they reached the semi-finals before losing to Portugal. 

In 2005 he was appointed manager of Manchester United and won three Premier League titles during his time there, as well as the FA Cup in 2007 and the Champions League in 2008. 

Hughes left Manchester United in 2009 to take charge of Blackburn Rovers, but after just two seasons he was sacked due to poor results; this marked the start of a prolonged downturn for Blackburn which saw them relegated from the Premier League twice during his tenure there.

Hughes then joined Stoke City in May 2012 and helped them avoid relegation that season by finishing fifth; however, Stoke were relegated from the Premier League in 2016 under his management and have not returned since then despite several near-misses on promotion bids.

After leaving Stoke City following their relegation from The Championship, Hughes took over at Southampton FC. 

Under his stewardship Saints achieved an impressive seventh-place finish (the highest position achieved by any team managed by him) securing automatic qualification for next season’s Europa League qualifying rounds with only four matches remaining.

On 27th October 2018 it was announced that Hughes would leave Southampton at the end of December 2018 having secured back-to-back promotions via play offs; making him one of only ten managers ever to achieve this feat.

Sir Bobby Charlton was born on October 11, 1937 in Ashington, Northumberland, England. Charlton started his career at Manchester United, where he played for over six years as a midfielder and forward.

Nobby Stiles was born in Manchester in 1942 and started his career with Manchester United in 1957. He made 311 appearances for the club over a 17-year period, winning two league titles and a FA Cup.

Stiles joined Middlesbrough in 1971 and played 57 games for the club before retiring in 1973. After his retirement, Stiles became a football coach and worked with a number of clubs, including Manchester United, Middlesbrough, Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa.

He died aged 78 on 30 October 2020. Stiles was awarded an MBE in 1966 for his contributions to football. He is remembered as a defensive midfielder who was known for his composure and passing ability. 

Stiles is one of Manchester United's most decorated players and is currently ranked 10th in the club's all-time list of appearances.

He was inducted into the Manchester United Hall of Fame in 1993 and the English Football Hall of Fame in 2004. Stiles was also a member of the England team that won the 1966 World Cup. 

In 2017, Stiles was named as one of the 50 greatest footballers of all time by British sports magazine FourFourTwo.

Sammy McIlroy is a retired footballer who played for Manchester United and Stoke City. McIlroy was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 1954. McIlroy started his career at Manchester United in 1971 and made 342 appearances for the club over the course of nine seasons.

McIlroy moved to Stoke City in 1982 and made 133 appearances for the club over the course of four seasons. McIlroy retired from professional football in 1985. 

McIlroy was awarded an MBE in 2013 for his services to football. McIlroy has since been involved in coaching and management, most notably at Sunderland.

McIlroy is currently the assistant manager at League of Ireland side Limerick. McIlroy is married and has two children. Sammy McIlroy was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in October 1965. 

He began his footballing career with his local team, Glentoran, before signing for Manchester City in 1985. He spent thirteen seasons at the club, winning the Premier League title in 1986 and the FA Cup in 1989.

McIlroy then moved to Austrian side Örgryte, where he spent six seasons before returning to England to play for Bury. He retired from football in 2001, after playing for Preston North End and Morecambe. 

McIlroy has since spent time as a coach at Manchester City and Glentoran, and he currently manages Northern Ireland. He was made an MBE in the 2002 Queen's Birthday Honours. 

McIlroy was named in the UEFA Team of the Year three times (1986, 1989, 1990) and was also named Irish Footballer of the Year in 1990.

Dwight Yorke is a former English footballer who played as a forward for Aston Villa, Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, and Portsmouth. Yorke was born in Trinidad and Tobago, and moved to England at the age of five.

Yorke started his career at the Signal Hill Comprehensive School. Yorke played for Aston Villa from 1989 to 1990. Yorke moved to Manchester United in 1991. Yorke helped Manchester United win the Premier League title in 1993, 1994, and 1996.

Yorke made 59 appearances and scored six goals for Sunderland before ending his career with Trinidad and Tobago. After his retirement from playing, Yorke took up a managerial position with Macarthur FC. 

He left Macarthur in 2022 and has since been involved in coaching and television work. Yorke is currently an assistant coach with Manchester City.
